We were absolutely delighted with our stay at Lundby Gard. I felt an instant connection with Sylvie, and we could have chatted for hours at a time over coffee and breakfast in the mornings. Sylvie and Gunnar are extremely hospitable and have a wonderful world view, sharing their expertise in sustainable farming, animal production, and any topic that arose! The room was plenty big, with twin beds for each of us and a private bathroom. It was quiet, comfortable, and had a window (with screen!!!) that allowed the evening breeze to cool us after a long day in the city. Breakfast was delicious, and plentiful, with homemade preserves and buns, muesli, cheese, and coffee. We didn't need anything more until mid afternoon. Also helpful was the proximity to the Marsta train station, just a 10 minute drive with easy, free parking. I look forward to another trip to Lundy Gard!

We stayed here several years back and had a wonderful time! The roslagsfår sheep alone were worth the trip. The moose standing in the snow that greeted us each night upon our return were just charming (though the innkeepers cannot be responsible for having wild animals greet you as well. lol) Note: If you have children and they are unaware of where their food comes from, this may not be the place for you however. If you are an American and insist on having your area heated to 72 F in winter, this may not be the place for you. We on the other hand had nothing to complain about. Our innkeeper did find our shower squeegeeing skills a bit sub-par, but it was our first attempt after all. ha-ha My husband and I still talk about this place to this day and hope to have a chance to return!
