Dustin & Laura did the research and it shows in this fabulous historic home they have turned into a haven in an otherwise very touristy town. They were still working on the third floor but from what I saw, the finished home will become the only place to stay when visiting the area. On top of the great accommodations e.g comfortable bed, soft towels, good water pressure, the breakfasts were the highlight of our stay. We have stayed in numerous B&B's and part of the joy is not only having a hot entree but one cooked better than what I can make at home! Laura exceeds in her creative and delicious breakfasts. Also, the common rooms were comfortable to relax in after a day of site seeing which is important if you don't want to hang out in your room. Overall an great place to stay!

We were not quite sure what to expect in Deadwood. We chose it as a base to visit Mt Rushmore, Custer SP, and Badlands from. We found Deadwood to be quirky and interesting and the 1899 Inn a wonderful place to stay. Laura, owner and host, was a jewel. She helped make our stay comfortable and was very well versed on things going on in Deadwood and the area. The Inn is a beautiful old home although it is partly a work in progress but nothing that hindered our stay. We stayed in the Library room downstairs which was easily accessible for us and very comfortable. If you're planning on staying in Deadwood sometime I highly recommend this place.

This is a very charming inn with comfortable rooms and all the luxury of home! Owners are very thoughtful and considerate, and the breakfast meals are so tasty!!!! Breakfast alone is worth the 1500 miles we traveled to get there! Close to all the other historic sites, a big perfect 10 for the 1899 Inn!!!!

This B&B is wonderful. The home is incredibly historic and charming! The owners have done a great job of fixing up the home, and continue to make improvements all the time. The innkeepers are so easy to work with and very accommodating. The cats are also gracious, and welcomed us just as warmly as our hosts. Would highly recommend this B&B.

This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast. The couple was very nice and the breakfast was great. They didn't mind us coming in late and leaving early. Staying at a bed and breakfast is different from staying at a hotel. You don't get the privacy you do in a hotel.

The couple who hosted us were wonderful. When they finish fixing this house up it will be a gem. We were within walking distance of down town. Thanks

From our arrival (which was pretty late) we felt welcomed like we were with friends. The attic room was a climb but we were able to see more of the beautiful house. The room was big and very comfortable. The breakfasts were very delectable and we enjoyed talking to Dustin and Laura while they prepared the meals. The sitting areas were clean and comfortable. The B&B is not far from main street and many attractions, we left our car at the inn and didn't have to drive anywhere the entire weekend. This experience was well worth twice what they are charging. We will return and recommend that all that visit Deadwood stay here.
