About

You will find us just a few minutes away from the historic district just on the other side of the Cooper river. If you need to get away to a peaceful place only a few minutes from downtown Charleston then we are the right place for you. The house is nestled between old oak trees. Enjoy a glass of wine on the front porch or in the beautiful screened in room in the back. If you are lucky a deer or two will come by and say hello. Birds are everywhere and once in a while a hawk will fly over the house. We are a few minutes walk from the waterfront park in Mt Pleasant, 15 min from the beach and we have plenty of great places to eat near by. Your room will be upstairs and each room is decorated beautifully. There is also a sitting room upstairs and one downstairs. Need help to celebrate something special? Proposal, Birthday, Baby news, etc. Let us take care of that too. No request is too small or too big. Wenche bakes specialty cakes and is a gourmet cook.

Quaint Bed and Breakfast

4.4 on April 22, 2018

Great location for dining and sightseeing, minutes from Charleston. Cozy accomadations and very good breakfast!

Comfortable and convenient for Charleston.

I loved my stay at Da Noi. Located about 15 minutes from historic Charleston in the lovely community of Mt. Pleasant this bed and breakfast was a great find. The house has all modern conveniences with an old world atmosphere. My upstairs room was comfortable with a private bathroom just down the hall. Breakfast every morning was good with a choice of cereal, breads, fresh fruit, etc. There are many good restaurants and convenient shopping in the surrounding neighborhood, but you really need a car to stay here. Historic Charleston is an easy 15 minute drive and there is also easy access to the surrounding beaches and plantations. Thanks for a great visit!

Great stay at Da Noi

4.4 on December 18, 2017

My wife & I stayed at Da Noi for 4 nights and found it an excellent place to stay. It is in a quiet suburban area a short drive from downtown Charleston, and provides great value especially when you compare it to the cost of a hotel or B+B in Charleston itself. Breakfast was very good - Wenche, the owner, cooked us a delicious omelette/frittata each morning (something she says she doesn't always do), along with good coffee, fruit, cakes & breads. We stayed in the "red room" which has a very comfortable king bed, and a spacious bathroom. There are a few things to note: firstly the bathroom is just outside the room, so you will need to wear your bathrobe to use it; there is no TV in the room (we didn't miss it); the house is packed full of knick-knacks, so you need to be careful walking around; and lastly Wenche is fairly strict about certain things like leaving your shoes at the door and guests not using the kitchen or laundry. Having said that, she did our laundry for us, which was wonderful! Though Wenche doesn't make the bed, she turns it down and leaves a chocolate on the pillow each night which was a lovely touch. Wenche is a very helpful, interesting person - she lived in Europe, was a tour guide and speaks several languages, and we had some interesting conversations with her over breakfast. She was extremely helpful organising where to go, and making restaurant reservations for us etc. There are plenty of good restaurants in the area - you don't have to go to downtown for a good meal. But I would recommend having a car while you are there. All in all, we highly recommend Da Noi.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for your review. I have a few rules and shoes is the most important one so i expect that to be respected. We are a B&B so nobody can use kitchen and laundry room and with up to 8 people here at a time it would not work and i don't think any b&b would allow that. Not sure what the Knick knacks comment means since i do not have things sitting on floors.

Da Noi was a lovely experience

4.0 on July 17, 2017

The Fox's have turned their beautiful home into a very special B&B. It was our best B&B visit in all our travels over many years. There is nothing better than having a comfortable place to come home to when you travel & Wenche makes sure you feel relaxed in her home. Breakfast was delightful on the screened porch & we highly recommend Da Noi.

A most pleasant stay.....

Wenche and Wyatt were wonderful hosts. The home is very well located for access to Charleston, the beaches, shopping, trips to state and national parks, and dining. The home is comfortable, the bedroom was quiet, and the breakfasts were spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary stay.

My first bed-and-breakfast experience--it will not be my last!

5 on June 08, 2016

This was my first time traveling as a single--and Wenche and Wyatt couldn't have been more welcoming, helpful and charming. The location just across the spectacular Ravenel Bridge from Charleston made for very easy access to Charleston and also to Patriot's Point and the beaches nearby. Wenche's knowledge of the area and her ability to gauge each traveler's interests and needs was impressive. And their home is charming and most important, clean and comfortable. If this is a typical bed-and-breakfast experience, count me in!

Our Favorite Get-Away!

5 on December 01, 2015

My husband and I have been going to stay with Wenche and Wyatt a few times a year for nearly two years- we just can't stay away! Our first visit was in January of 2014. Later, she and Wyatt agreed to host our wedding. Wenche did everything (I literally never lifted a finger). She made an incredible dinner, the most gorgeous cake, and did all of the photography. Wyatt is ordained and performed the most beautiful ceremony I could have imagined. It was honestly our dream wedding and one of my fondest memories. Wenche's rooms are immaculate, comfortable, and stunningly decorated. She's always full of great suggestions for things to do, and she knows all of the good restaurants! Some of things we most look forward to are her breakfast spreads and the table talks with Wenche, Wyatt, and guests. There's always good conversation, and we seem to make new friends every time we go! For us, the location is perfect. It's far enough away from downtown to feel private and secluded, but such a short drive to the center of town. We'll keep going every chance we get!

Good value for Charleston

4.8 on November 30, 2015

We stayed 2 nights here and our trip was enhanced by the valuable information that Wencke gave. As an experienced European tour guide, she could sum up our needs in an instant enabling us to save so much time and effort during our short visit to Charleston. She provided beautifully fresh and clean bathroom towels every day.

Wonderful place to stay

Most Enjoyable Stay in Charleston

5 on November 29, 2015

We were visiting Charleston for a second time and decided to stay at a B&B this time. We brought my cousin and his wife from Michigan to see the beautiful city of Charleston. My husband found them on the B&B website and we could not be more pleased. The place was everything and more! The owners were so gracious and made us feel right at home. Wenche's culinary skills were fabulous as our breakfast each morning was beautifully presented and delicious! Will definitely stay here again on our next visit. Highly recommend!!!
