The Christopher Dodge House is a stunning 4 story brick Italianate mansion renovated into a luxury Bed and Breakfast Inn. Truly an architectural gem, the house features many 11 foot ceilings, ornate plaster moldings, marble fireplaces and many original tin ceilings. The Christopher Dodge House is conveniently located within walking distance to Brown University, downtown Providence, Providence Place Mall, RISD, the State Capitol and the Convention Center. Is also a short drive from Providence College and Johnson and Wales University.

My husband and I stayed at Christopher Dodge House for a weekend in December. Highly recommended! I recall some reviews mention that this property is next to the highway, but you truly don't notice it the second you walk through the door. The house has been restored and is very elegant and comfortable. Food is excellent - there are mini muffins when you check in and the daily breakfast is delicious. Usual continental breakfast fare but a special of the day, made to order. Great value for how nice the rooms are and how convenient the home is to sites of interest.

Excellent location. Pleasant and friendly staff - although a bit too talkative at breakfast. Window A/C was noisy. Food was decent but underwhelming for a B&B. Charging for bottled water ridiculous when no other source for cold water.
Thank you for taking the time to post a review! The staff here at the Christopher Dodge House likes to ensure that we make our guests feel welcome. This is especially true at breakfast. This is when there is the most interaction with our guests. In the Common Room we provide complimentary refreshments including a cold beverage i.e.; water, iced tea or lemonade. The tap water is safe to drink as well. We do also offer the bottled water for $1 among other "goodies". We are sorry to hear that the breakfast did not meet your expectations. Please contact us directly regarding the noisy A/C unit so that we can have maintenance take a look at it. We do apologize for the noise. However, this could have been rectified during your stay and a possible room change could have taken place if we were notified at that time.

Not just a B&B. Enormous bedrooms, grand breakfast. Great pointers to local dining and activities. Really pleasant and welcoming staff. Fabulous value. Would stay here again and again. More than we expected.
Thank you for your gracious review! We hope to see you again in the future!

Our only regret was that we only had one night to spend in this beautiful place. Everything hit our top expectations. The room was beautiful, wonderful breakfast, unmatched atmosphere, location to the city and where we went to visit was perfect, staff were all warm and inviting, and every finishing touch was there to better your stay. It will be the only place we will stay during our next visit.
Thank you for your generous review! We hope you come back soon!

The house is beautiful and very comfortable. Staff was very attentive but gave us our space to explore and relax. The breakfast was delicious with impressive variety and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We didn't want to leave! Will definitely be coming back.

Lovely, comfortable room in a beautiful mid 19th century building. Only negative was that some lamps did not work. Staff were very helpful and pleasant.

This B&B is attractive with excellent service, breakfast snacks in sitting room unfortunately. Our small room had an inconvenient, very small bathroom shelf opposite toilet that is dangerous, difficult to get up and to exit shower room.

Loved my stay! Great food, hospitable people!
Dear Guest. Thank you so much for your kind words. It was a pleasure having you with us. Best Wishes.

Request a room on the street side rather than the parking lot side which is right next to the highway unless you don't mind the sound of the traffic all night. The third floor rooms are very warm even when cool outside. We had all the windows open & the ceiling fan on in October. The house is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. The chef is wonderful. A great place to go for a weekend getaway.
