Located at the top of Newport's posh Hill, La Farge Perry House has a perfect location, within walking distance to all of the major attractions, yet far enough away from the active nightspots to provide a restful atmosphere for those that wish to relax. A full breakfast is served in a beautiful dining room where you are surrounded by scenes of Newport on a mural original to the house painted in 1900. With handmade linens and 300 thread count sheets, the rooms have extraordinary comfort; many with small sitting areas and most having either a single or double jacuzzi bath tubs. The local knowledge of Jennifer, the innkeeper, will help you with answers to any questions about the inn, Newport "hot spots" - for dining, dancing and live music.

Our stay was fabulous in the Master Suite. It was very roomy and clean with beautiful period furnishings. The bathroom included a double walk in shower and Jacuzzi bath tub. There was an additional bedroom attached that serves wonderful for added guests or kids. The Innkeeper, Maureen was extremely nice and attentive. She made a delicious breakfast that was served in an incredible dining room/attached sunroom. The wall murals were especially beautiful to dine in. The Inn made our visit extra special with afternoon cookies and early evening wine and cheese. My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much and will be visiting again the next time we are in Newport. Top notch place to stay!!!

Everything was absolutely perfect. The room was absolutely wonderful. The breakfasts were as well. The staff was attentive and extremely amiable. Our stay in Newport was highlighted by The Lafarge-Perry House. We will definitely stay there on our next Newport excursion.

Wonderful getaway. Have already recommended it twice! Room luxurious, breakfast delicious, wine/cheese at 4 in the front room decadent, hospitality consistently superior. La Farge Perry exemplified the best of Newport.

The room, home and property were amazing! So beautiful! The staff, when we saw them, were very pleasant. The dinning room had many interesting details in the decor, unfortunately we did not get to enjoy it to it's fullest. Breakfast is not served until 8:30, so for early risers such as ourselves we did not partake. Honestly I was very disappointed that we had to leave this beautiful home to seek sustenance elsewhere. As such, I cannot comment on the "onsite dining" as I did not have any food here and regarding "value" I didn't feel I got my money's worth since I paid for a bed AND breakfast for two but only got the bed.

The Inn was beautiful and was a great setting for a romantic weekend. The master bedroom was comfortable, clean and beautiful. It was a very large room. The location was also excellent. The reason it didn't get excellent scores across the board was because I just didn't think the person in charge there was very helpful or forthcoming on things we should try to do there in Newport. It was our first time there so weren't familiar with the area.

Our room was big and beautiful. We were in Oliver. We saw some other rooms and they were all very nice. However our bathroom was dark. If you ware make up you might want a different room. I am not a breakfast eater so I can't comment on that. They serve wine at 5 but don't drink it. It's horrible. The location is great. An easy walk to downtown so no need to deal with parking, which is terrible in Newport. They also own the Cliff House on the cliff walk and let us park there for that walk. A real plus. I would absolutely recommend staying here!!

This was one of the best B and Bs we have ever stayed at. The Oliver Perry Room was perfect!

My husband and I stayed at La Farge Perry House for two days during our honeymoon, and it was fantastic! We stayed in the Master Suite, which was beautify decorated, had a sprawling bathroom, and overall made us feel like we had our own oasis within the bed and breakfast. Maureen was a wonderful host, and made phenomenal breakfasts every morning (I usually hate eggs, but genuinely enjoyed the quiche that Maureen made one morning. I would love to have it again!) We brought bikes with us and were able to very easily bike into town, but you could just as easily walk (we drove to the mansions.) Maureen always had complimentary wine and cheese every afternoon at 4pm, and we enjoyed taking our wine onto the front porch to relax (only downside here was that the front porch looks onto a street with a fair amount of traffic.) Overall, it was an amazing honeymoon, very relaxing, and we loved every minute of our stay at La Farge Perry House. I would highly recommend it to anyone coming through Newport!
