We recently spent three days at this lovely old inn in early October. Although it is on a major highway it felt secluded in it's surrounding of mature trees and gardens. It is a short walk from the Salt Marsh Visitors Center of the National Seashore, a fabulous place for walks and biking. It is also well located for visits to the outer Cape beaches and Provincetown. We stayed in the carriage house, which was very roomy, with a comfortable king sized bed and access to a kitchenette. One of the things I liked best about the inn was the number of gathering spots in the main house, for tea, cookies and conversation, or reading a book. It was very welcoming. There's also a patio with a firepit for outdoor eating. The staff were friendly, and helpful with all our questions and requests. The continental breakfast is much more than "danish and coffee"; definitely plenty to fill you up for a day of exploring! We had a great stay and would definitely visit again!
It is always a pleasure staying at the White Wind Inn - Like coming home after a long absence. Comfortable but like an honored guest/family member. The Inn is beautiful and the service is wonderful. Breakfast is always great!
We stayed at Inn at the Oaks for a short holiday and found the location to be ideal for exploring the Cape and just steps from the National Seashore where trails and beaches await. The Inn staff are so pleasant and attentive. The breakfast (we are vegans) was perfect. We don't expect or require a hot breakfast so having a variety of fruits as well as almond milk and granola was perfect. Our dog enjoyed the special treat awaiting him as well as having an onsite location for his bathroom needs. As soon as we returned home we started planning our next stay at the Inn.
We stayed two nights at the Inn at Cook Street and had a very enjoyable time. The Inn itself is a well maintained and attractive building. Our room was on the second floor and was very comfortable. Outside on the second floor are two decks with relaxing deck furniture which we were able to enjoy. The back yard is quick nice with plenty of seating there as well. Breakfast is served on the first floor which as a living area and a dining room. The chef prepared unique and tasty breakfasts for us. Patrick and Jon are very good hosts and made sure we enjoyed our stay. I would definitely stay again.
Wow, after years of staying exclusively at the same BnB in Ptown, we decided to give this place a trial when our "go-to" was fully booked. Beautiful house, fantastic staff, great rooms all compliment this Guest House and really makes for a fantastic Guest Experience in Provincetown, MA. Highly recommend!
This guest house was located very close to Commercial street - that was really convenient as it was pouring with rain when we went out for dinner. The restaurants and quaint shops are right on the doorstep. However, it was very quiet at night when we returned to our room which was perfect. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a great shower. It was however very very compact (Room 3 - Plymouth). It was OK for one night but space was extremely limited. There was no where to store cases and the only hanging space was a rail in the bathroom - not ideal. We slept comfortably and the bathroom was very good. The house looks lovely in the photos but we were not in the main house (not sure if there are guest rooms in the actual house)- our room was accessed by an outside staircase up to the annex on the back of the house. Breakfast was available in a separate building in the garden. You can make tea and coffee there or sit on the sofas and watch TV 24/7 if you wanted to. There was ample food, cereals, bagels, juice, a hot dish, muffins etc for breakfast. It was all self service which was fine but the seating is poorly organised - people were milling around and looking for somewhere to sit. There is a big table but it is pushed against a wall so a whole long side is wasted. It would have been better in the middle of the room with maybe the TV and sofa along the side walls instead. Paul was very friendly and welcoming - he gave us a map and a couple of restaurant recommendations. Other than that we did not see him between check in or check out. We parked on site (which we prearranged) We would stay here again because of the excellent location but would definitely book a larger room.
When in Provincetown I stay at Revere house. The rooms are wonderful, clean and tasteful. The service is outstanding - just the right amount of interaction. The location? Ideal. The breakfast room out back, with the sitting area and fire place make for a nice secluded place to sit, relax, enjoy some coffee and the peace and quiet.
This is our second long fall weekend visit to the Inn. We loved it as much this time as the first. Staff are warm and welcoming and very helpful. Rooms are clean and charming. Great proximity to bike paths, beaches and good restaurants. This visit we even enjoyed the fire pit out back and made S'mores (Ingredients compliments of the Inn). We will definitely go back!
Paul found his niche and he aims to please his guests. Breakfast was excellent and consistent in presentation. Paul offers helpful suggestions on places to eat and see. Enjoyable, comfortable atmosphere.
Beautiful old Inn right on the main Rd where you want to be. Welcoming owners and great hosts. Only complaint was the bathroom was tiny to the point where it was difficult to use, but having your own bathroom in this area is not always an option. We had a great stay and enjoyed our anniversary wkend. Shelby, the yellow lab was also great and joined us for breakfast each morning
We travel to Provincetown every year and have found that there are a very few B&B locations that are truly outstanding. Benchmark Inn may in fact be the very best. Dan and Daniel are wonderful hosts and provided us with a welcoming experience and lovely conversation. They also helped us tremendously as the purpose of our visit this time was to find a place to purchase as a second home. They kindly connected us with professionals who have since helped us to find our place. While we may no longer require a place to stay, we will definitely make a point of visiting with our gracious Benchmark hosts on a regular basis.
Room was small but elegantly furnished. Breakfast and wine/happy hour were appreciated. Staff was professional but not friendly...the guy who checked us in didn't make eye contact which was strange. Steps from Commercial Street so a great location if you want to be in the middle of it all.
We only stayed at The Benchmark for a couple of nights, but that was all we needed to discover what a gem it is. Daniel greeted us when we arrived and gave us the tour, along with some insight on P-town and where we could venture, and best ways to get there, etc. What did we learn? We needed more time in P-town! Two days wasn't enough; and we will be back for a longer stay before too long. We stayed in Room # 3 at The Benchmark, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Next time I may have to spring for the Penthouse just for the view. We will definitely be visiting The Benchmark again in the future! - Ethan Kuehl
Daniel and staff were personable and thoughtful. Rooms were so comfortable and clean! Loved the outside entrances for each individual room! The jams and cheeses as part of the continental breakfast were delish! You can't beat the location within the walking distance to everything really ;). Oh, and let's not forget how comfortable the bed was!! Right down to every last detail, Benchmark is the best!!!!
Stayed during the off-season in September. Accommodations were excellent (Main House Room #3) and such that one would expect with an historic property. Even though the living room was below our room, there were no disturbances. Breakfasts were exquisite and beautiful Fall weather allowed patio dining. I'm very careful with B&B's because of the unknowns, but would definitely stay again.
It was our lucky day when by chance we ended up staying at Carpe Diem Guesthouse & Spa on our recent trip to Provincetown. We found it online and chose it by the reviews that we read. Let me just say, it was all that we hoped for and more! A great location (close to everything), comfy rooms, and a staff that was intent on making our stay with them perfect in everyway. They were so friendly and helpful on things to do, where to eat, and anything else we needed. We definitely plan on going back to Provincetown again and when we do, you can bet that will be staying here again!
Although our room was not very large the location is exceptional and you don't want to spend that much time in your room anyway. Rooms are very cozy and comfortable and especially enjoyed talking with the owner and guests. Breakfast was great.
Located just outside the main area of town with a short and easy walk to all activities. Price was comparable to others in the area. It is an older home that was beautifully remodeled. If you are carrying heavy luggage and are in the Commodore Room; it's two staircases up. Staff was helpful, cordial and friendly. They kept the house clean and presentable with a somewhat varied and simple breakfast. Worth the money spent for our three day stay. Recommend to others and we will stay again when we travel to P'town.
This awesome little gem in P Town is a great way to enjoy your stay in a centrally located BB. The service is phenomenal! At check in, I received a full tour of what the property offered and what activities to consider during my stay. Love this place
From the time we arrived until the time we left, we were in a home away from home. The hosts were friendly, interesting, and catered to our needs, anticipating every one. The rooms were charming, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfasts were healthful and delicious. We would definitely stay there again! Julie Dufaj and Valerie Harvey
