Great weekend stopover for the Quadratec fall tent sale. Loved the historic house, and location was perfect for us. The food was very good, as well as the service! Will definitely return next year.

The inn is in a great location convenient to numerous local and regional attractions. Beautiful historical property with lovely grounds. Breakfast was great and innkeepers were friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I have stayed in many dozens of Bed and Breakfasts over the last 40 years. Sometimes the property is especially charming. Occasionally the food is phenomenal. Once and a while you meet Innkeepers who become valued friends overnight. The 1732 Folke Stone B & B met all these criteria, and even went above and beyond. Marcy and Walter were gracious and genuine from the moment we walked through their historic front door. We were treated like family. We dined like Kings. We slept as comfortably as we would have at home. Special mention should go to the warm and caring treatment of my 99-year-old father. He sat by a cozy fire, and was utterly content...as were we all. With sincere thanks, Emilie Collens Illson

Let me say first that our Inn owners were two of the most gracious people that we have met in all of our stays at B&B's. The location to many attractions was perfect. Quiet but close to things. The directions that were given to each of the attractions that we visited were perfect and shorter than what a GPS provided. The owners had a wonderful knowledge of the area restaurants and we enjoyed several meals in town very much. The sit down breakfasts that were prepared were quite delicious and the atmosphere that was created was very "homey". The owners always seemed to be available for our needs and we loved the way they sat and chatted with us at breakfast and during the day while there. We would highly recommend a stay at The 1732 Folkstone B&B Inn for anyone wanting to see this area.

We enjoyed our stay at Folke Stone. Marcy and Walter were very helpful with ideas and suggestions about what to do in the area. The breakfasts were outstanding! We highly recommend this B and B to everyone.

In this fast paced world we live in, it's nice to find a place you can call home when traveling. This for us is 1732 Folke Stone Bed and Breakfast. Found in charming West Chester Pa and very close to Longwood Gardens and the various DuPont estates, and Brandywine Valley attractions, this B&B is just above all the rest in value and service. Overseen by it's hosts, Marcy and Walter Schmoll, the B&B is packed with it's own history. An informative history of Folke Stone comes with your stay. The hosts make it a special place to relax. The rooms though small, are comfortable and clean. The bathrooms are across the hall from your room, but robes are provided. If you are booking the Jenny Lind room, just know that it's bath is very small. The breakfasts are so special here. Marcy makes each one deliciously different with healthy ingredients that fill you right up. Walter will light a lovely fire in the diningroom fireplace each morning for your enjoyment and warmth in the winter. We have come back to Folke Stone again and again and have had a wonderful visit each time. We concider Marcy and Walter our dear friends and Folke Stone our home away from home.

We recently visited West Chester, PA for our sons family weekend at WCU and stayed at this wonderfully cozy bed and breakfast. What a gem! The rooms were lovely and clean, the location was just about six minutes from the hub of West Chester and the hosts, Marcy & Walter, were so welcoming. They provided us with delicious breakfasts' consisting of homemade breads, fresh fruit and egg stratas with sausage and pancakes. They joined us at the table each morning and spent time telling us about the area and its history and answering any questions we had. They were so warm and friendly. During my sons next four year stay at the University, we will have many opportunities to visit and I know we will be staying at the Folke Stone B&B for those visits. The beautiful rooms, wonderful food and gracious hospitality is a winner! Don't miss this place!

What a wonderful place to spend a few days. This 18th century home delights the senses with Marcy and Walt's wonderful hospitality, delicious breakfasts and interesting fellow travelers. It was easy to visit two of our favorite sites: Longwood Gardens and The Brandywine River Museum. We will surely return soon.

We picked Folke Stone for its convenient location and received so much more. Walter met us and took good care of us until Marcy arrived. The rooms were great and the private bath across the hall was spotless. What breakfasts!! Marcy is a gourmet cook. The house itself is historic and we took wonderful walks in this beautiful neighborhood that has a rural feel to it but is close to everything. A great choice on our part.

Outstanding hospitality! We called to advise we were going to be a little late and Marcy answered quickly and pleasantly. She even returned my call to let us know we could invite our daughter, whose Family Weekend event we were attending, was welcome to join us for breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, as was the private bath (for each room). And the breakfast on Saturday was wonderfully presented and very delicious. The owners, Marcy and Walter, also sat with us after serving the breakfast to provide some historical insight and provided pleasant conversation. Breakfast on Sunday surpassed our expectations and was again plentiful and delicious! We dined with the other two couples staying at the B&B and again, Marcy and Walter joined us for discussion, adding to their already outstanding hospitality. We heartily recommend the Folke Stone Bed and Breakfast to anyone and we will definitely visit again. Rick and Denise Buckley

We arrived in West Chester, PA at the same time as hurricane Irene and even the rainy weather couldn't dampen the wonderful experience we had at the 1732 Folke Stone! The hosts were delightful (accomodating and friendly), the daily breakfasts (always with perfectly ripened fresh fruit included) were hearty and delicious and the historic home (with a tastefully done modern addition) is delightful and the rooms are cozy, clean and comfortable. We have stayed in many B and Bs in the states and in Europe and this was by far one of best stays we have ever had!

My wife any I found ourselves in West Chester in need of a place to stay. I found this B&B on-line and had no real expectations. But, the proprietors were warm and informative -- eager to help us with our plans and directions. Breakfast was great and abundant. The B&B charming. I am not sure we'll be back in the area, but if we are, we'd definitely stay again.

Marcie and Walter are lovely hosts! They provide all the comforts of home and the little extras that make the trip (like singing happy birthday and having a special cake for the birthday boy.) The house is warm and inviting. A short 20 minute drive down beautiful back roads to the major tourist sites. Will return in another season to spend more time exploring this great region!

Our 4-day stay in Folke Stone B&B's 'rose' room was delightfully memorable. Breakfast included freshly picked raspberries with an incredibly delicious gourmet breakfast. Our stay was very relaxing with a magnificently relaxing open front porch, a bull frog croaking in the evening and morning birds warbling with the start of every morning. I would highly suggest it to anyone.
