We took a road to Canada and planned a stop in Amish country. Lititz is a neat historical town with several dining opions in walking distance. The Alden house was a very comfortable place to stay with private places to relax if desired. There a couple of restaurants just a few steps away. We enjoyed the afternoon relaxing around the inn, then dinner, and a walk through town afterwards.

We have been repeat visitors of the Alden House B&B and love the location, rooms and value. The Inn is very well kept and the Hostess is always very pleasant and accommodating. We always look forward to returning again for another visit and highly recommend this B&B!!

We were greeted upon mid afternoon arrival and given a full description of Alden House and its amenities. Hostess adjusted breakfast entree for dietary restrictions. Shaded and covered patio area and rocking chairs on front porch for evening enjoyment and "people watching". We stayed in front room downstairs and found early evening traffic a bit noisy (particularly a few motorcycles) on Friday and Saturday nights, but all was quiet by 10:00 am. Water pressure for shower was not ideal. Small electric fan in our room provided just the right amount of comfort for a summer evening. Beautiful furnishings and, yes, those Wilbur Buds were always available in hall candy dish :)

We were warmly welcomed, offered insite to the town if we needed it, room was clean and inviting, mattress and pillows very very comfortable, enjoyed our home cooked breakfast! Couldn’t ask for more.

Really lovely B&B, very quiet. Host was very friendly. We love the keyless entry system which let us arrive at any time. The Inn was spotlessly clean. We will definitely be staying on our next trip.

Birthday celebration. Room was nice, bathroom small, large rug made for a tripping hazard, and the hair dryer needed to be cleaned. Found some small things that showed me that the room was not cleaned thoroughly. Traffic noise was extreme for a front room.
Innkeeper Response
We apologize that your stay was not up level we want it to be. We try to remember to warn guests about the possible traffic noise, but it remains our most popular room because of the large windows and that it is on the first floor. We encourage our guests to share any concerns during their stay as we would have gladly replaced the hair dryer or moved you to a quieter room. We hope you otherwise enjoyed your stay.
