A Holiday Delight!

4.6 on January 02, 2018

I was already in love with the Silverstone Inn since I've stayed at this totally charming B&B twice before, but my recent stay over the Christmas holiday was truly special. The Silverstone is a one-of-a kind gem in Lancaster: so close to everything, yet secluded on a country road, nestled among farmland! I've even seen local farmers driving their horse-drawn wagons down the road in front of the Inn; it's a trip!! Lorin and Toni have paid meticulous attention to every detail in restoring this beautiful limestone mansion, and they pamper guests with every luxury in their rooms, while making everyone feel totally comfortable during their stay. I never thought I would stay at the Silverstone in the winter (I was thrilled when I saw the Silverstone was available during Christmas week!), but this trip convinced me that any season is a treat at the Silverstone... and I will be back!

Our 3rd Visit - think we like it?!

5 on July 20, 2017

Such a warm welcome for every guest. We try to visit every other year and it feels like home. Close to the many attractions of the Lancaster but tucked away in a quiet, bucolic setting. Breakfasts will take your breath away. The attention to detail in every room- remarkable. A geothermal system that gives you instant hot water. Clean and tasteful, cozy and well-thought-out, hospitable details. The owners and their children are remarkable hosts. Their hearts are in it.

Innkeeper Response
Our repeat guests are what makes being an innkeeper so worthwhile. Thank you for your kind words and looking forward to meeting you again!

The most beautiful place in Lancaster, PA

5 on November 21, 2016

My wife and I took a retreat to Lancaster, PA and stumbled upon this cozy place. They took our reservation last minute and waited up for us until we arrived, two hours past check in. Toni was so nice went he greeted us, and he showed us around and answered all of our questions to the best of his ability. The place was immaculate! Everywhere in the house was so neat and tidy. Lorin's needle point portraits looked so real that my wife and I thought they were actual pictures. Our room with the jacuzzi was so inviting and perfect. We had such a great time and took the advice of Toni to go and check out a local winery. We highly recommend staying with this lovely family. The breakfast was amazing, everything was amazing, I can't see staying anywhere else in Lancaster. 10/10

Wonderful weekend away

4.8 on November 04, 2016

This was our first time at Silverstone Inn but it won't be our last. Tony and Lorin are amazing, greeted us as if we were family. They had wonderful suggestions for dinner out, which was great since we didn't want to hit any chain restaurants. The stay was perfect with Saturday night spent just relaxing in our room. Couldn't have asked for anything better!

Our first B&B

3.8 on August 23, 2016

This B&B was a beautiful place to stay. The hosts were incredibly friendly. Our room was beautiful and located on the first floor since I'm unable to go up the stairs. The common area is inviting and as well as the bar area. Breakfast was made daily, The food was great and filling. Very quiet and peaceful location. Isolated from the main road, but close to all the restaurants and stores. Would do it again.

Great place ti stay. Feels like country but a mile to AMT and Rt 30.

Gem of Lancaster

This B&B is minutes from everything, but it's location is so picturesque and serene you would never know. Loni and Lorin are two of the most personable inn keepers you will cross paths with. Lorin's breakfasts are a delicious start to your day. Both are experts on the area, so if you visit with no real plan of activities like we did, they can give you wonderful ideas. The entire building is spotless and steeped in history. We were I the Hazelnut Room and it was spectacular. Our stay happened to be on one of the hottest weekends of the summer, so getting to see the stunning fireplace alight was not an option. The A/c in the room was a God send after melting as we enjoyed the area's attractions. Thank you Wortels for such a wonderful experience. The Hothans

It's very uncommon to place a review and have all 10's. However, in this case, the scale doesn't go high enough to rate this BnB, The staff was amazing. So friendly and accommodating! The rooms were immaculate and the service was outstanding. If we were to go to Lancaster again, you can rest assure, we would be staying here again. I've been to several BnB's in my travels and this one was the best of the best!

Outstanding and Memorable Experience!

5 on July 03, 2016

Nothing but rave reviews for Silverstone Inn and Suites! We stayed here last weekend in the Copper Beech Suite. The location was perfect! It felt like we were out in the country as the Inn is surrounded by corn fields and farms, yet we were less than a mile from Lincoln Highway where there are tons of restaurants and stores. The Tanger Outlets were just over a mile away from the Inn, and everything else we wanted to see was within a 20 minute drive. The Inn has been beautifully restored; no detail was overlooked. It was super charming and had all the luxuries of home! Very tastefully decorated throughout with Tiffany style lighting, beautiful wood floors, furniture and art work including several framed cross stitch pictures that were made by Lorin, the owner. The common areas and our room were very clean, well maintained and comfortable. The grounds of the Inn and farm are very well kept, and it was neat being able to walk over to the pasture and see the sheep. The owners, Toni and Lorin, were wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home! Breakfast was amazing…..I told Lorin that every plate I was served was picture-worthy and delicious! Breakfast starts off with homemade bread (pumpkin, banana-walnut, etc.), coffee, tea and a variety of juices. The first morning, we were served almond-crusted French toast with fresh fruit. The following morning we had mouth-watering Dutch pannekoeken, sausage and fresh fruit – Toni is from Holland and has clearly perfected these traditional Dutch pancakes! On our last morning, we had an omelet with caramelized leeks and portabella mushrooms, bacon and fresh fruit. The omelet was served with fresh kale and sage from the garden. We had an outstanding and memorable experience here, and I would highly recommend Silverstone Inn to anyone planning a visit to the Lancaster area!
