My friend and I stayed here for two nights, and we had an amazing time! George and Alexandra were so kind and welcoming. They helped us figure out where to eat and what to do around Gettysburg, lent us an audio tour CD for the battlefield, and were always available for questions. The rooms were beautiful and the breakfast was DELICIOUS. Heidi the Wonder Dog and Olive the Little Wonder were adorable! Would stay here again for sure.

George and Alexandra go out of their way to make you feel at home. The decor was charming, the room very comfortable. Breakfast was not only delicious, but the presentation beautiful. Their knowledge of area attractions and restaurants was invaluable. They add to the fun and pleasure of a vacation. We are looking forward to going back!

This is a wonderful little inn just a few blocks from the center of Gettysburg. My room was delightful and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The hosts made me feel welcome without being intrusive. The small extras such as sodas, water, tea and snacks being available 24/7; the common areas to relax and read; the bath amenities; all contributed to a pleasant stay. Gettysburg was not my destination but a stop on my way somewhere, but my hosts made sure that information on activities and dining was available. If I could, I would give a higher rating for cleanliness. The place was spotless. And the breakfasts were not only delicious but beautifully presented. I hope to get back for a full Gettysburg stay in the future, and I will stay here again.

This is a lovely place to stay. The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast room was bright and sunny, and the breakfasts themselves were delicious and beautifully presented. The inn should get an outstanding-plus for cleanliness; it was spotless. As a dog lover, the inn mascots were an extra treat for me. Gettysburg was a stopover in my case, not a destination, but for those "doing" Gettysburg, the hosts had a wealth of information of where to go and what to see. I would definitely stay again, and highly recommend it. Thanks, Alexandra, George, Heidi and Olive!

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay! The California Suite was comfortable and well appointed. The dining room had a cafe motif that was warm and inviting. We especially liked spending time on the screened front porch under the fan, watching the locals walk by . The Inn is located just far enough away from town so that the crowds aren't oppressive, yet close enough for a midday walk on a warm summer day without breaking a sweat. Best of all, there's Alex and George, who are caretakers of the tallest order as they catered to our needs and fixed us breakfasts you read about in books - both delicious and artful in their presentation. George can pick a few tunes, I have found. So we both learned a few songs from the other. You can't go wrong hanging your hat at the Raphael Inn. We'll be headed back there again soon!

The Raphael Inn should be your Gettysburg address--especially if you love dogs! Heidi and Olive, the resident dogs, welcome to you the Inn with lots of opportunities for petting and playing. The Inn is well located close to Gettysburg College and a few blocks from the center of Gettysburg--all very walkable. George and Alexandra, your hosts, are full of knowledge of the area and share lots of advice on what to see and where to eat. Your will love the delicious breakfasts at the Inn--fresh fruit, omelettes, french toast, pastries--fantastic. The rooms at the Inn and very comfortable and lovingly decorated. Don't miss out on this Inn--Heidi and Olive would miss you!!

My wife and I have stayed at several Bed and Breakfast Inns over the years. Truthfully, they have all had similar accommodation. What makes one B&B stand out over another is it's Hosts. George and Alexandra went to lengths to make our stay as wonderful as possible. The food was fabulous, but it was their warmth and hospitality that made the weekend special. I would highly recommend the Raphael Inn to anyone who is planning a getaway to Gettysburg.

Rooms were clean and very tastefully decorated. Owners were very warm, hospitable, and friendly. I would definitely recommend this inn to other travelers. The breakfast was delicious too, and the owners were very accommodating when planning the menu, as my husband doesn't eat typical breakfast food.
