Alexandra and George have a wonderful B&B; and, they made us feel most pampered and welcome. Food, ambiance, and other guests' company were all great! We'd go back again in a heartbeat!!! Judie & Fred Hosey Dallas, TX

This B&B, about half-a-mile north of the town center, is run by a couple out of their home. They were gracious hosts and, if anything, overly accommodating. They have two dogs, who are quite adorable.

My friend and I stayed here for two nights, and we had an amazing time! George and Alexandra were so kind and welcoming. They helped us figure out where to eat and what to do around Gettysburg, lent us an audio tour CD for the battlefield, and were always available for questions. The rooms were beautiful and the breakfast was DELICIOUS. Heidi the Wonder Dog and Olive the Little Wonder were adorable! Would stay here again for sure.

George and Alexandra go out of their way to make you feel at home. The decor was charming, the room very comfortable. Breakfast was not only delicious, but the presentation beautiful. Their knowledge of area attractions and restaurants was invaluable. They add to the fun and pleasure of a vacation. We are looking forward to going back!

This is a wonderful little inn just a few blocks from the center of Gettysburg. My room was delightful and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The hosts made me feel welcome without being intrusive. The small extras such as sodas, water, tea and snacks being available 24/7; the common areas to relax and read; the bath amenities; all contributed to a pleasant stay. Gettysburg was not my destination but a stop on my way somewhere, but my hosts made sure that information on activities and dining was available. If I could, I would give a higher rating for cleanliness. The place was spotless. And the breakfasts were not only delicious but beautifully presented. I hope to get back for a full Gettysburg stay in the future, and I will stay here again.

This is a lovely place to stay. The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast room was bright and sunny, and the breakfasts themselves were delicious and beautifully presented. The inn should get an outstanding-plus for cleanliness; it was spotless. As a dog lover, the inn mascots were an extra treat for me. Gettysburg was a stopover in my case, not a destination, but for those "doing" Gettysburg, the hosts had a wealth of information of where to go and what to see. I would definitely stay again, and highly recommend it. Thanks, Alexandra, George, Heidi and Olive!

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay! The California Suite was comfortable and well appointed. The dining room had a cafe motif that was warm and inviting. We especially liked spending time on the screened front porch under the fan, watching the locals walk by . The Inn is located just far enough away from town so that the crowds aren't oppressive, yet close enough for a midday walk on a warm summer day without breaking a sweat. Best of all, there's Alex and George, who are caretakers of the tallest order as they catered to our needs and fixed us breakfasts you read about in books - both delicious and artful in their presentation. George can pick a few tunes, I have found. So we both learned a few songs from the other. You can't go wrong hanging your hat at the Raphael Inn. We'll be headed back there again soon!

Considered by our guests as the perfect romantic setting for those who want to get away from it all. The largest of the three rooms, it is appointed with a king-size bed in a tropical theme. Guests with a sense of adventure can imagine themselves as castaways on a very comfortable uncharted isle and pretend as if they’ve been taken away to another time and place. The California-Rose Suite is an oasis far from the hustle and bustle of the everyday world and where thoughts of rescue is not a consideration!
This room is a favorite of our guests with it’s adjoining Coach Room, it has delighted all who see it. This tribute to one of America’s most famous and beloved Presidents makes use of its striking features, furnishings and color combinations to draw the occupants into its warmth and a sense of history. The Coach Room a cozy and quaint sitting room which offers a pull out bed for an extra guest, if needed. With its backyard garden view it offers a place to sit and watch for birds, butterflies and squirrels in season… the Northeastern Bird book and binoculars add to the fun of this room.
Named after my adopted mom, Evelyn, this room is filled with shades of purple and an atmosphere of wistfulness. Adorned with details that transport imaginative guests to a wistful and simpler time. With its room darkening shades you’ll be taken back in time with no hurries or worries; a peaceful place to rest.
