First Time at a B & B

5 on May 14, 2018

We had an amazing stay to celebrate our wedding. The room was beautiful and everyone we came into contact with was friendly and helpful. The private breakfast was a great feature and delicious as well.

Innkeeper Response
We are so glad you had a positive experience at your first B&B. We hope to see you again soon!

We were so pleased with our stay at Hertzog Homested! This was our second time at this bed and breakfast. This will always be our go to place when we are in the Lancastor area. The room was so beautiful and homey and the breakfast is unbelievable. Plenty of food and very enjoyable. I especially like the idea of eating breakfast in our room whenever we want. The grounds are impeccably kept. Alber hola I give Hertzog Homested five stars !

Innkeeper Response
Thank you so much for staying with us!

Beautiful accommodations and delightful inn keepers. Very peaceful and relaxing.

One of the best B&B experiences - memorable mini moon!

We were welcomed with a warm cozy suite complete with a complimentary hertzog wine because we were celebrating our honeymoon. We signed up for 2 massages back to back right when we checked in and it was one of the best we've had! Also, the in-suite breakfast was prepared for the morning after on our dining room table and fridge - the cheese/sausage quiche was the BEST! We did a buggy tour after looking at some of the brochures in the suite and it was so much fun learning about the amish farm life. Even though you felt like you were in the middle of nowhere (we're from NYC) main restaurants and tour spots were no more than 15 min away! Later that day we messaged the innkeeper, Kristen, who was very communicative and hospitable if we can help gather the chicken eggs (there was a sign saying they do it every day at 6p) and her son also helped out! It was a nice taste of the outdoor life and the jacuzzi in the back of the hertzog suite was a definite plus! Also, the sample lotions were so nice, we bought our own! super thankful for the experience and relaxing stay.

We had a fabulous time. The your time breakfast was such a great and relaxing idea and the food was delicious. Can’t wait to go back again

Always exceeds our expectations.

This was our third visit to The Hertzog Homestead. We always leave amazed that our stays always exceed our expectations. Extremely clean and the bathrooms are immaculate. Although there is no onsite restaurant, the authentic Amish breakfast that is left in the room is delicious. Very relaxing stay even if it was too short. Beautiful scenery in the middle of Amish/Mennonite farmland. We love to sit on the front porch and watch the horse and buggies trot by.

Highly recommended!

My girls and I recently stayed at The Hertzog Homestead B & B as a birthday celebration and "girl time". We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the girls especially enjoyed the massages they received! I love the private breakfast placed in each room the night before to enjoy at one's leisure the next morning. We will certainly stay at the Hertzog again!

Weekend away

We spent the weekend there just to get away as a couple. The room was great as we're the breakfasts each morning in our room. We would definitely stay there again.
