This is a beautiful mansion that is in excellent condition. The staff is very congenial and the room was both spacious, very comfortable with good lighting. All the furniture was from the period that the house was built. I enjoyed finding out that the tray ceiling was hand-made using iron of the mill where the original owner was manager. It is beautiful to see. My husband and I were very comfortable here. For breakfast there was actually of selection of four menu items. We will return if in the area again.

We had a room at the front of the house looking toward the steel mills, and enjoyed the sunrise views of the stacks through the fog. Everything about the room was well equipped, and it was so nice to have two comfortable chairs in which to sit, with ottomans even! Breakfast was ample and varied. All in all, a great stay.

Great accommodations and breakfast, but pricey for what you get. The service was great for the most part, but some staff seemed like they'd rather be somewhere else.

We stayed in the Conservatory and the pictures on this website do not do it full justice. The website really should include pictures on a star-filled night, such as the one we enjoyed. Breathtaking to say the least. The sound of the small water circulators and the incoming sunrise made each morning a pleasure to wake up to. The breakfasts served were quite tasty and varied in choice. The staff were very pleasant and helped us when we needed a hand and the on-site dog was quite nice and fun to play around with. The Dining room and Sitting Room were amazing and the grounds are very nicely kept. We didn't have a chance to see the other rooms, of course, but the pictures make them look pleasant. When we come back one day, I doubt we will be able to choose any other room bu the Conservatory, however. A truly magical experience!

Beautiful place, great rooms, nice breakfast. Ask for 1 additional towel (had 2) and nice older lady at the front desk indicated she wasn't sure if there were extra towels and she would look.... ask for ice and got a half bucket of ice.... it was 90-degrees out. (Ended up just buying a bag of ice and bringing it back.) Next day, left 2 dirty wash cloths on the bathroom floor to be replaced, they were folded and put back... really wanted 2 new wash clothes. Overall, did like the place and would come back, but they seem tight on supplies.

We stayed at the Sayre Mansion as a base to go to the Philadelphia Folk Festival. It was a perfect stay, with an easy check-in, a good room and a wonderful breakfast. We would definitely stay there again. I do not think that the B & B offers lunch or dinner but we did not check.

Our third stay at this fabulous B&B. Very convenient for our Musikfest visit. We love this place, super rooms, great food, and a superb staff. We will be back again.

One of our favorite lodging. We've stayed 10 times over the years, each time in a different room. Every experience was consistently outstanding. Beautiful comfortable. Music and dining in Bethlehem is always a destination.
5 on August 15, 2016
I thought this place was really special, a great value, maybe even a bargain. Clean, courteous, welcoming from the outset, staffed by friendly people, and a super-duper made-to-order breakfast with buffet items as well included in the room price. Victorian to the max, not my taste, but so relaxing. Absolutely felt like I was a guest in someones lovely home. Outdoor seating is to be savored, either on the veranda/porches or in the lawn weather permitting. My room - the last to be sold mind you - was a little small but clean and wonderful It's not often I can find nothing I want to see improved.. A great B&B vision, with great execution by the staff. OK, it's a little close to some traffic but I heard none of it. Oh...and the cookies and candy lying around to have with your coffee...priceless enjoyment for me. Discovered quite by accident, but what a superb experience for a very reasonable price. I'm going to try more of the'Select B&Bs around the country based on this experience, and they gave me a paper catalog of all of them. Quite special.

My boyfriend and I stayed in room 35 for our anniversary. It was a last minute decision that I'm so happy we made! We were able to make the reservation the night before with no problems. The room was adorable - charming with slanting ceilings and beautiful old windows. Our room was quiet and private. The bed was so comfortable that we returned upstairs for a short nap after the delicious breakfast (omelets with Swiss cheese, mushrooms, and fresh spinach with sides of bacon and toast, along with fruit, house baked pastries, coffee, tea and yogurt). The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back to the Sayre Mansion!

My husband and I stayed in the Conservatory. We are from Bethlehem and just needed a night to decompress away from life's turmoils. We chose the perfect place... What a gorgeous room! When we arrived, there was a summer rain storm -- perfect timing to just watch the storm from a beautifully decorated room. We cannot wait to return. (One word of caution -- there is a lot of noise from the street due to the windows of this room. This didn't bother us as we were so enthralled with the room. But if you think it might bother you, this is not the room for you.)

We stayed overnight at the Sayer inn. Had a very nice spacious room, comfortable bed, and a good breakfast. Very pleased with our stay.
5 on June 18, 2016
This Inn is close to all Bethlehem has to offer. Most within walking distance. The staff is knowledgable, friendly, and make every effort to make you feel like you're visiting an old friend. If you want a starched, antiseptic stay in Christmas City, well there is a Comfort Inn in town. If you want a place that you feel like home, away from home, the Sayre Mansion is your best bet!

Beautiful historic mansion in historic area of Bethlehem, Pa. Very nice rooms. Stayed in the carriage house which is separate from the main building. Very hospitable. Very attentive to guest's needs.
5 on June 11, 2016
Our stay at the Mansion was soothing, comfortable and most importantly included blissful sleep in the well endowed beds and linens. What a pleasant surprise to know that care had been taken to provide a bed that was lofty and a dream to sleep in. We will return and look forward to the delicious breakfast what we consider to be the most important meal of the day. Just a wonderful place to spend quality time.

Great location--close to bars, restaurants, and everything you might like to do in Bethlehem. I love that you always smell cookies or bacon cooking in the kitchen--adds to the homey feel. Whitey was our server at breakfast, and he was so fun to talk to. He had great recommendations for things to do in the area.

Beautiful property outside and in. We stayed in room number 21 which was beautifully appointed, roomy and had great views. Huge room and the the private bath was perfect. I booked the Conservatory as an overnight get away for our 10th wedding anniversary. The entire experience exceeded our expectations. The room was exceptional with it's three sided glass views of Bethlehem. We fell asleep to the Bethlehem star on the mountain, the half moon thru the trees and thousands of stars shining above us, and we woke up to the most amazing sunrise. The bed was more comfortable than ours, and that's saying a lot. The owners and staff were polite and professional. We were unable to stay for breakfast, but there were chocolates and cookies and tea available all day/night long, for a nice homey touch. I would definitely come back for another stay.

This is an upscale B&B with large, comfortable rooms. The bed was exceptional and we were able to reserve one of their rooms with a king bed. All of the Inn's furnishings are exceptional with nice touches everywhere (for example, coffee is available until 5:00 PM with small pastries while tea service is 24 hours). The dining & common seating areas (inside and outside) were available at all times to the guests. The morning breakfast was expansive with multiple choices each morning and the service was exceptional. We loved our stay and will be back again in the future.

Stayed one night with a companion for a weekend getaway. Stayed in room 35 - it felt very secluded and private due to being at the end of the hall. Perfect for a romantic escape. The shower was a little cramped but when you're retrofitting a historic property you have to work within the structure, so given that constraint, it was fine. Breakfast was fantastic. The property is lovely, the people who work there were great, we have already booked another visit.
5 on March 13, 2016
The Sayre is a gem of a place! The breakfast menu is 5 star and the history and location make the visit extra special. Walk around the neighborhood and you are transported back to the Golden Era even though the once single-family homes are now apartments. The "bones" are still there and are architectural delights. There is also an incredible Italian restaurant close by. Ask the hosts for directions.
5 on March 02, 2016
We stayed recently in room #35 - after a glorious review on trip advisor. This was our second time staying in the same room and it was just as wonderful as the first time. The breakfast is fantastic!!! The service is fantastic!! The location is ideal to drive to Sands or downtown. The innkeeper was very responsive with sending me recommendations for dinner which were outrageous. The cookies are wonderful --and they can always be found in the living room. Great mommy and daddy getaway!!!

The place is great and has an amazing setting in the city. What I found lacking was the breakfast. It was eggs and pastry and that's it. I kind of expect some bread or bagel with breakfast. None offered. Also, no options for egg whites, you got some scrambled eggs and that was it. So my first trip was to a grocery store.

Both times my boyfriend and I stayed, there was a wedding ceremony keeping up the vibrant atmosphere. the place is always full and booked which says a lot about visitors' satisfaction. Each customized rooms are special & beautiful, toiletry supplies provided are exceptionally thoughtful (from q-tips, makeup removers to shoe cleaner!), front desk and services are helpful and friendly, breakfast is served hot and delicious, lovely baked goods and coffee/tea always generously in reach at the dining area - Overall much better than any stay at nearby hotels! 6~7 minute drive to Sand's casino - wouldn't recommend taking the cabs as they take forever- Only downside is that the wall is kinda thin. you could hear conversations from your neighbors. Whatever the case, we would stay at Sayre Mansion again and definitely recommend!!
5 on October 12, 2015
we stay here at least once a year. They preserved much of the historic architecture. The rooms are nicely appointed and spacious. The staff is very friendly and personable. And the breakfast is always good.with interesting seasonal dishes. We highly recommend The Sayre Mansion.

We have stayed at the Sayre Mansion Inn a few times and it just keeps getting better. Location is key if you like downtown Bethlehem its a short walk across the bridge. So you can park your car and leave it you wont need it. The rooms are really nice, we tried a different room this time No. 12. it was spacious, clean, the bed was by far the best I have slept on and I travel quite often. I had to inquire what type of mattress it was and the keeper told me it was a feather bed. LOVED IT!. The service is wonderful, the breakfasts were filling and they had very nice choices, The coffee was very good. Coffee in the morning is a big deal to me. Over all its a very nice B&B we will choose it over the Hotel Bethlehem anytime.

My wife and I spent one night at the Sayre Mansion. The room was clean and all the items were in working order i.e. air conditioning, alarm clock, plumbing, etc... The breakfast that was served was very good and there was enough variety that anyone should find something to their liking. Our interactions with the staff were pleasant and professional. We would definately stay here again.
3.8 on August 25, 2015
This was the perfect place for a last minute weekend getaway where you don't want to spend a lot but you want some ambiance. The outside is gorgeous and it was nice and quiet when we got there. They said they upgraded our room and it was nice, don't get me wrong, just not spectacular....which was fine. The shower was insanely small and water pooled on the bathroom floor but besides that the shower was good. I liked the products. The bed was super comfortable and there was a cute view. It was in walking distance of an amazing restaurant and an Uber ride away from the Sands Casino which was a lot of fun. Also a short drive to the Moravian Museum. Breakfast was great-- banana waffles and bacon. My only downfall was the in room cups were absolutely disgusting. Stained and fingerprinted and nasty. I couldn't get water from the cooler in the hallway like promised. If I went back, I would stay in the top floor suite. That looks epic.....assuming you don't want to sleep in.

I stayed at the Sayre Mansion Inn in Bethlehem in August 2015, and this was my first stay at a bed and breakfast. I have to say that the trip was so amazing that I never want to stay in a hotel again. From the minute we walked in the front door, I felt right at home and like I belonged there. The room was beautiful and very clean. The service was top-notch, and the breakfast was much more than I expected. Can't wait to return!

We stayed at the Sayre Mansion for an overnight birthday getaway. At check in we were upgraded to Room 21 which was a beautiful room with an elaborate ceiling and huge windows that let in gorgeous lighting as the sun set. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast the following morning was delicious. We got to choose between four hot options and assorted muffins, yogurts and coffee were also set up in the main dining room. After breakfast we enjoyed our coffee on the porch and took in the morning sun. The inn was centrally located and wasn't too far from the main street. We couldn't have picked a better place and we will definitely be back!

We are already looking forward to another stay at the Sayre Manision in 2016. We love room # 21 which was originally part of the library and still has a gorgeous ornate gold leaf ceiling. It is super quiet and spacious with a comfy king-sized bed. Depending on how full the inn is, you will either be treated to huge buffet breakfast in the morning or a made-to-order selection. Either way, the food will not disappoint. It was amazing in quality and quantity. You will always be greeted with a glass of wine at check-in and fresh baked cookies in the evening. We love this place. It is a perfect stop for us on the long drive home from Florida in April. We'll be back!

We chose the mansion as a last minute trip and enjoyed our stay. The room and service were wonderful. Our only single complaint would be the busy street, but we are from a very rural area on a dead end street so any noise is an adjustment. Breakfast was delicious and the bed was very comfortable. This was our third stay at The Sayre Mansion. As before, our hostess, Mary, was very welcoming -- and was very kind in providing us with a room upgrade. (Lola the puppy was there to greet us, as well...) The Sayre Mansion offers the charm of a B&B, but with a bit more anonymity for those who might feel overwhelmed by the idea of staying in the usual "having to be too close too strangers" B&B! I love the history of the this 150-year-old mansion, and the combination of its devotion to its original charm, but with all the modern updates one would hope to have available! There is a lovely supply of snacks waiting upon arrival...and the cookie jar is always filled with fabulously delicious home-made cookies. (My only "complaint" this time is that we missed out on the wonderful wine and cheese spread that we so enjoyed at our previous visit...and it was 5:00 (!) when we checked for it (and then had to leave for the evening)...so I'm not sure if that was offered, or not.) Breakfast was lovely, with several choices being offered. I'm guessing that "the usual" breakfast buffet we experienced in our two previous visits is set up only when the inn is full, which it was not on this day......and I would say that if you leave the breakfast feeling unsatisfied, then you weren't really hungry! If you are "Lehigh people", you will love the proximity to Lehigh University... I look forward to our next stay at the Sayre Mansion!

we have stayed at the Sayre Mansion many times and it is always nice. rooms are clean, food is good. and we like the brand of soaps and shampoos they have in the rooms. they have developed a problem with the front door; sometimes it is hard to open with the key.

We spent time here the weekend before Christmas. The room we had (37) was secluded and quite quiet. Bed was comfortable. There was a fire exit off of our room. Staff was accommodating when we were unaware that breakfast was finished an hour earlier on the weekdays and cooked us something fresh when we missed the cut off. It would be nice if for future visits they inquired about food allergies for the breakfast buffet or would provide a list of ingredients. Overall, it was beautifully decorated, romantic and we'll be going back again soon!

The service was exceptional and the morning breakfast was fantastic...even when we showed up late, they still made us a delicious breakfast. And when we left behind a valued article of clothing, they immediately put it in the mail and it arrived just days later. Would definitely recommend this B&B and plan on staying there again.

Spent the past weekend here, it was really romantic and nice. Breakfast was excellent, the room we had (35) was secluded and quite quiet. Bed was comfortable. Staff seemed quite friendly. We'll be going back next year for sure.

Nice hotel. I got everything what I wanted.

Beautiful outside nice and the common areas, a little tattered in the rooms. The walls touch up paints here and there, the bathroom fixtures are nice but the bed bath and beyond versions of vanities etc. Or disheartening, have rust stains, and look a little tacky. Staying at a historic location, you expect old lol but not when it comes to the amenities that were installed apparently in the 80s. Mr he hollow core doors also seemed well worn and not too sturdy. The wonderful employees and their warmth made up for it during breakfast, and in our check in. The water coolers in the hall, set there to save bottles of water from becoming landfill, is an excellent idea, but they were empty in the morning whenyoumwould usually need to get water, and placing them at the top of the stairs (and these were 1980s style ones with big bottles) made going to your room feel a bit like being in a dorm.

I have stayed at the Sayre Mansion twice now and both times were amazing. This place is like the perfect place to be no matter what the reason for the stay. The staff are super friendly and the rooms are absolutely beautiful. It really is my dream place to stay when in the area and I have stayed at many places but none as unique as this.

My husband and I agree that we would love to come back again. Enjoyed our room #21. It was spacious, comfortable and charming. We did the wine lovers package and the white wine was very good, not a cheap variety.

I guess I didn't read the print under the room photo - I chose a room with a queen bed and I thought I got a King bed. My mistake. The photos of the Mansion are absolutely Wonderful! As a professional photographer, I tip my hat to that person or team. The room was nice but a little claustrophobic for me. The bed was comfortable, but very wiggly. Unfortunately we couldn't stay for breakfast because the weather was turning poor, we left at 6:00 AM to continue our trip to the East coast. Can't really comment on so many of your services since we didn't get to experience them.

My wife & I spent a weekend here & absolutely loved it; the room was spacious & bed so comfortable. Loved the mansion overlooking the city of Bethlehem. Bethlehem is charming & we had two terrific meals the evenings we were there. Hopefully will be back before too long!

We make an annual tradition of staying at Sayre. We stay in a different room each year because they all have their own special character. The included breakfast is top notch and the staff is very friendly. The view of the city is great and access to downtown and the casino is easy and affordable via taxi. Jansen Honberger

It's a beautiful house and our room was very spacious. My bed was exceptionally comfortable! We enjoyed the warm fireplace in the downstairs living room, and breakfast was prepared perfectly! I would highly recommend The Sayre Mansion Inn to anyone visiting the Bethlehem area. The location is also very convenient.

My wife and I found what we believed to be a wonderful bed and breakfast, Sayre Mansion Inn, located in Bethlehem, PA. The website has comments like "meticulously restored", "offers luxury and comfort", "beautifully restored room" and "picturesque grounds". Based on the website we thought we'd enjoy 2 romantic nights in the country gazing at the stars through the glass roof of the Conservatory room. We realize this home was built in the 1850's but we were quite disappointed once we arrived and settled in. The location and overall condition of the room was sub par at best and for $260 per night our expectations were much higher. The mansion sat on the corner of a major highway and very busy street, not the coutry side setting as depicted on the website. The room was decorated with period furniture but could have used a thorough cleaning and the electric fireplace did not work. The bathroom was spacious but lack luster and it had a shower stall was to small for the average 6' man. The floor tiles were patched in numerous areas due to water damage and the guest robes in the armoire were stained. We are acustomed to the Inn keeper/owner spending some time with the guests in the evening and at breakfast discussing the history of the home, the family that lived there and surrounding area. Altough the staff was pleasant we never encountered the owner. This facility was more like a motel with restaurant style dining. The breakfast lacked the unique recipes we usually experience at a bed and breakfast. The first night there was so loud from the traffic, police sirens, trains and people talking on the street that we didn't get much sleep. The stay was so disappointing that we chose to go home after one night. Unfortunately this is one location we will not recommend to our friends.

We were up for the inaugural event at the PPL center in Allentown. I would recommend staying at Sayre if you are attending something there. While it is not near the center, it is a convenient 15 minute drive. It also gives great access to down town Bethlehem. I am looking forward to returning to further explore the beautiful Lehigh Valley!
3.2 on September 17, 2014
Be prepared for very thin walls. I was hoping that this establishment was on a bigger property further away from the town. I was able to hear the trains and cars throughout the stay. Nevertheless it was still a charming building and met my expectations. Bethlehem is a nice town with an old school feel. I can't comment on the breakfast because we opted to spend the morning relaxing in their super comfy beds. Overall experience I'd rate a 7 out of 10.
4.6 on September 08, 2014
The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was amazing--an extremely comfortable pillow top bed. We slept like logs. The next morning I thought we were having a simple continental breakfast, but it turned out to be a hot buffet breakfast. In addition, there were various juices, coffee, tea, pastries and fruit salad. So yummy! Everyone that worked there was very warm and courteous. Definitely would stay there again. Very close proximity to historic Bethlehem which is a real gem.

My wife and I spent a wonderful 12th anniversary weekend at The Sayre Mansion and it exceeded our expectations. Every aspect of our stay starting with the service, our room, and the breakfast were outstanding. And we had the wine package which was a nice treat to start our stay. The Sayre Mansion provided a wonderful backdrop for our romantic weekend. We will definitely return in the future.

The room was beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious. We were in the carriage house, which was bit difficult to drive in and out of, and it's right on the road, so there was a fair amount of traffic noise. In parts of the suite, the walls/floors are quite thin, so we could our hear the other guests. The person who showed us our room didn't explain anything about the room (e.g., how the internet, TV, air conditioner worked), so we had to figure it out ourselves.

Always a pleasure to stay at a beautiful place as Sayre. Not only is the staff accommodating but Lola is adorable. Look forward to Christmas visit.
4.6 on August 13, 2014
The breakfast for each our visits has been delicious, bountiful and beautifully served whether buffet or upon ordering. The people who are employed by the Sayre Mansion are pleasant and helpful. The beds are cozy and clean. The bathroom amenities are top-notch. I ask myself upon the close of any stay in any given Inn or Bed and Breakfast if I've gotten my money's worth, as this is truly the bottom line (no pun intended!). The answer is yes and we will return regularly in the future!

We had a wonderful experience in February when we stayed at Sayre but this time we were disappointed. The parking lot was full when we returned from having dinner. Why?? No one was available for complaints. The room that we were in had an A/C that kicked on and off all night and it kept my wife awake. The mattress in the room was listed as a queen but in fact was a full . It was also the softest mattress we have ever been in and kept rolling into the middle. Not fun. Sadly, we will probably not return.

I have stayed at The Sayre Mansion Inn many times, both on business and for pleasure with my wife. It is always a wonderful ecperience. The Inn itself is beautiful, and the staff is superlative. This is a little piece of tranquility in South Bethlehem. My friend grew up in South Bethlehem and always wanted to go into the home. I gave him an overnight there for his 61st birthday. The room was above our expectations. We had a nice leisurely breakfast and spent time on the front porch enjoying the architecture over coffee. We walked the grounds admiring the abundant flowers and flowering shrubs before leaving for the day. The staff was attentive and we felt welcomed. This truly is a gem!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Sayre Mansion. The staff was friendly and attentive, our room was beautiful and clean, the property was meticulously maintained, and breakfast was delicious. We would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone traveling in the area. It's located right across the bridge from downtown Bethlehem. It is possible to walk into town, if you like longer walks, but I think most people would choose to drive. Our room was one of the least expensive, located on the third floor. It was very spacious and featured a lovely view, a very comfortable bed, and a sitting area with two chairs (very nice for watching a little TV in the evening). Our room was toward the front of the house, and we did note that the train that passes by several times a day can be heard. Considering the history of the house and its original owner, the proximity to the railroad makes perfect sense, but it is worth noting if that is something that would bother you. We definitely plan to visit again.

I was simply looking for a place to stay the weekend for a business trip that wouldn't kill my budget, but was a nice place to stay. I got way more than I bargained for at the Sayre Mansion Inn. The staff was eager and helpful, friendly beyond compare. The room was cozy and quiet. The surrounding grounds are beautiful and perfect for reading or catching up on emails. To top it all off the breakfast was probably the best I've had in months! My only regret is that I wasn't able to extend my meeting so that I could have spent more time there! I will be returning here in the very near future.

The staff and innkeepers were pleasant, and Lola the house dog was a real treat. The rooms are kept very clean, although there were a few stains on the blanket. The king-sized bed was great, and the mattress could not have been more soft or cushioned. The food was average, nothing to brag about, and I only wish they left out more pastries in the day. Overall it was a pleasant stay, and I would likely revisit sometime in the future

I was attending a weekend class, and my husband needed a break from work. He was so surprised not to be at a hotel (I didn't tell him where we were going to stay.) He loved the ever-present cookies, and said the breakfasts were wonderful. It was nice, for me, to come back to a cozy fire and welcoming couches. We loved our room, and everyone was so hospitable — from innkeepers to wait staff. We'd love to return.

We arrived on Friday evening and even though they were hosting a wedding and looked to be very busy a host came outside and insisted on helping with our bags. The parking lot and walk ways had been cleared of snow which was no small feat as they have had a lot of snow in Bethlehem. Room 27 had 2 beds and had a nice view and a sitting area. The bathroom had a shower only but a very nice size room. Beds were comfortable. The room was an easy one flight up from the front door. Breakfast was fantastic both mornings and plenty to eat. The staff was awesome. During nice weather you could walk into town. Bethlehem is a wonderful place to visit. Great shopping and dining and very historic. We can't wait to return.

The Sayre Mansion is lovely. I stayed in Room 24, which has a sitting nook with an old fashioned loveseat and desk. It was perfect to sit there and read next to the large windows while sipping wine. The staff is friendly and helpful, room is clean and well kept. The only potential negative is that the mansion faces a very busy street. I expected it to be more secluded and it is not. However, inside is lovely and comfortable with minimal outside noise. There is a nearby, quaint downtown area with restaurants, spas, and shopping. There is a Sands Casino about 10 minutes away as well. Overall a great visit!

I live in Delaware and I took my boyfriend to Sayre for 2 nights for his birthday. We had an absolute ball! The place was spotless and the staff was delightful. Wonderful location - just minutes from the Sands Casino and Steel Stacks and right smack in the middle of the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail. Has it's own parking lot where we sat in my car each night and marveled at the stars and gorgeous view overlooking historic Bethlehem. Breakfast was amazing! We'll definitely be back in the spring!

What a warm and relaxing place to stay! Our room was clean and comfortable and afforded a lovely view of the city. Mary was the consummate hostess and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. From the yummy cookies and tea in the evening, to the bountiful breakfast in the morning, we were well pleased with our choice of inns. The location is within walking distance of a number of shops and restaurants. Be sure to stop by the Moravian Book Shop, the oldest bookstore in the world. Can't wait to return!

I was upgraded to a first floor room, which I appreciated, since the room I originally booked was on the 3rd floor and there's no elevator. I found the bed uncomfortable, though. It was too soft and I had difficulty sleeping. A little firmer mattress would be appreciated. But the place was very nice and comfortable otherwise.

I truly enjoyed my overnight stay at The Sayre Mansion - I wish I had made plans to stay longer. The staff was very courteous and helpful. We stayed on Labor Day and the inn wasn't busy so the innkeeper offered a larger room upon check-in. I thought that was very thoughtful and we loved the room! I would definitely go back again.

My husband and I recently visited for a romantic weekend together. We stayed in Suite room 1. It was all I expected however we didn't have the DVD, IPod docking station, or the CD Player readily available in the room when we arrived. We had to ask for it. Also, one of the faucet knobs on the jacuzzi tub was broken but turned out to be a quick fix. Other than that everything else was fantastic. One of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept on with lots of pillows. The meals were great as well.

I stayed in a room on the third floor. It was very quiet! The staff was very friendly and always asked if there was anything they could do for me. At breakfast I was offered several choices. Our stay at Sayre Mansion was delightful from drinking champagne on a warm summer night on the front porch to the hand crafted omelette for breakfast. The building is full of charm and history and is convenient to all local areas with a breathtaking view of old Bethlehem. Unfortunately our pre-arranged early arrival was not transmitted to the staff. As a result our high end room was not attended to before our arrival. We volunteered to depart for a few hours so a vacuum could be run and the room could be dusted but we were told that the room had been fully cared for. So we wiped down the coffee and sugar from the coffee buffet and ran a towelover the rest of the furniture ourselves. And it was obvious that a recent leak had taken place in our room, The Atrium Room, as fresh paint had been haphasardly applied to a number of spots leaving a somwhat amateurish motel look to the walls. Quite a sin compared to the attention the rest of the place seemed to have received. Not very pleasant looking at the empty candy wrappers behind the headboard or the cobwebs spun in and around the houseplants. The CD player did not work nor did the alarm on the clock but were were lent a cd boom box by one of the staff members. We're sure we simply made a poor choice of rooms as the Atrium seems to have some "special needs" and hit at a "bad time" but not sure that we would return. It is a lovely building in a great location but seems understaffed and in need of attention and a good scrubbing. Sorry Sayre.

This was our first B & B experience so we were mildly apprehensive about how different it would be from a hotel. Driving from Chicago to Bethlehem, PA turned out to take longer than expected due to road construction and a couple of wrong turns but we finally made it 3 hours late. Someone from the Sayre Mansion called us to be sure we were still coming (very courtious). Then when we arrived, tired and weary they upgraded our room for us at no extra charge. Our room was beautiful and the bed was to die for! I had not slept that good in weeks!! The next morning we met Mary (jack of all trades around there) and was just so delightful in serving us breakfast. I can not recommend this place enough!! We wished we could stay longer and hope to return soon!!!

We just got home from a 3 day stay at the Sayre Mansion, of their 27 rooms we had over 20 of them, each one perfect! The staff was amazing led by Carrie the Inn Keeper! On Friday we had a rehersal out on the back lawn, the down to the Asa Packer room for a delicious Rehersal Dinner for over 30! On Saturday after a delicious breakfast, which was selected from 4 offerings, we had over 130 at my daughters wedding. The ceremony was beautiful under the arch on the back lawn, then a great cocktail hour on the front porches, then onto the full reception under their beautiful tent, with small white lights, we used their recommended florist, DJ, and caterer and each was beyond our expectations. The Butternut Squash Lasagna was outstanding! Sunday morning Carrie arranged a buffet breakfast for 40 under the tent that was perfect and relaxing! Please feel free to contact me so I can continue to rave, Carrie has permission to give out my phone number, Hope this helps, A very pleased father of the bride....... Bob

That is exactly what a bed and breakfast should be.

My daughter and I stayed at the Sayre Mansion while looking at Pennsylvania colleges. We stayed in two different rooms. Both had lovely furniture and the beds were really comfortable. The pillows were down and the comforters real feather! The place is lovely, the staff friendly and the food delicious. I hope I am fortunate enough to have another reason to stay there in the future. I have stayed at the Sayre Mansion on many occasions. The Inn is so very charming, and the staff is "at the ready" with whatever you may need. I would highly recommend Sayre Mansion anytime but especially for a special weekend or night!

The Sayre Mansion was a nice bed and breakfast. However for a Select Registry inn, I was surprised the breakfast was buffet style. The food was good but I prefer a sit down breakfast with made to order food. The rooms were clean and big, the picture of the room on the website showed a fireplace which the room did have but the fireplace was only for show with a fake fire glowing. We went right before Christmas and it would have been cozy to have a real fireplace that worked.

A group of about 30 of my closest friends/family recently stayed at the Sayre Mansion to ring in the new year! The staff at the mansion were MORE than accommodating, and the ASA packard room was the perfect fit, and a beautiful place for our little party! It was a nice surprise also, to have party hats and a champange voucher upon entereing our room (I stayed in the Conservatory, and it was amazing especially all lit up at night was beautiful). Carrie & the rest of the staff were great, and I was so happy that everyone had such an enjoyable time. It was the perfect ending to our stay with the YUMMY YUMMY breakfast in the morning. I couldn't have asked for a better time! Of the 30 of us, only 4 of us had stayed previously and I can tell you that they other 26 are already planning their future stays at the mansion! Thank you so much for everything. Already looking forward to Musikfest 2012 :o) -Crystal & Jesse

Our stay was a gift...package deal including dinner out. Every detal went like clockwork from our wine and cheese snack at the Inn to our limo ride to Emeril's Chop House. Breakfast buffet at the Inn was delicious. We wanted for nothing.

We love the Sayre Mansion and have been staying there for many years. It is not an inexpensive getaway and so we only visit once or twice a year - but it is always a pleasure. Wish it was a little less expensive - we would visit more often. Marvelous decor, comfortable rooms and excellent breakfasts.

The mansion is clean and decorated beautifuly. The food was delicious and rooms were very nice. It is located in a convenient spot close to all Bethlehem has to offer at Christmastime.

Stayed here for many years, seems to be heading in wrong direction. Housekeeping needs to go to back and retake Housekeeping 101 at local college. Warmth, charm and friendliness fading fast.

This place exceeded all expectations! The rooms were just as pictured on the website. We stayed in room 20 which was huge and inviting. The breakfast was phenomenal and cooked to order each morning. The propriators could not have been more gracious and helpful with directions, information on things to do and dining suggestions. The Apollo Grill and Momma Nini's are not to be missed. Every afternoon Lola the owners dog greeted everyone with a wagging tail and an invitation to pet her. Would definately recommend this place to everyone and hope to return soon

Was greeted by friendly, personable staff. Since we were early I did not expect to have room, but was hoping they could help with directions to nearby events I had hoped to see. I had hoped for only that, but they were above and beyond accomodating. Room was ready - no problem. Greeted in the room by coffee and muffins. (much appreciated - not expecting). And when my husband and I were refreshed and ready to greet the city, we received the absolute best directions and guidance for our day. Also turns out that the heater in our room was not working as well as they felt it should and was assured it would be corrected when returning. These wonderful hosts did even better... they upgraded our room to a suite at no charge. Fireplace was already on, bed turned down, soft lights............. Oh my! I was in heaven. We are definitely planning a return to these wonderful hosts with their magnificant mansion just to stay and enjoy. JCW

Overall we had a lovely stay. The room was comfy with a fantastic patio. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the mattress seemed in dire need of replacement--it had massive dips on both sides that made it impossible to sleep comfortably (we ended up tossing our pillows to the far end and sleeping with our heads at the bottom of the bed).

I loved Sayre Mansion, it was very cosy and had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I stayed here with my boyfriend on a romantic weekend we are both in are early 20's. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms very clear with a good size bathroom. The breakfast was the best thing, the French toast was so good the roaring fire just made it perfect. Bethlehem was a very cute town, had a good meal and cocktails in Brew Works this restaurant had a great atmosphere. Sayre Mansion is a very good location, especially close to the new casino in town. I would defiantly recommend Sayre to anyone.

Just returned from a 2-night stay. Had a great time. Booked one room for the first night (it was quite small, but nice) and stayed in the Carriage House the 2nd night (very large & beautiful. Would've preferred a gas or wood burning fireplace, but loved the huge bath and awesome bed!) Breakfast was delicious and staff was very pleasant and helpful. Can't wait to return! Randy & Stephanie

First of all the location and the condition of this building is good, it is convenient to Lehigh University and its adjacent commercial district and about a mile from the historic downtown of Bethlehem. However for a bed and breakfast charging 230 dollars a night my wife and I found it lacking. The evening we stayed, the public rooms were rented out to a private wedding, so the living room and its working fireplace were off limits to the guests. There was no attempt by management to apologize for the inconvenience let alone offer any sort of compensation. The next morning at breakfast the serving staff seemed disinterested , the buffet had run out of several offerings. There was no sense of anyone in charge , no innkeeper or manager circulating and checking on the guests. Our room was clean and large. Oddly it had only one wingchair, if a second person wanted to sit and read in front of the electric fireplace they would have to use a side chair or sit on the floor. The sense we had as we drove away was this was an experience lacking in hospitality. With a budget motel that’s OK but for an upscale bed and breakfast I don’t recommended it.

We were very pleased with the location of Sayre relative to what we wanted to do in and around Bethlehem. It's a lovely home staffed by people who made you feel like one of the family, always helpful, cheerful and fun. The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty to eat with a very nice variety of options. I look forward to staying there again sometime.

The carriage house room we stayed in (the Hayloft) was ideal for our family of four - our toddler on the daybed in one room, my husband and I in the glorious king bed, and the baby in a pack n play in a convenient alcove. We'd certainly stay again should we be in the Bethlehem area.

I had a great experience at the Sayre Mansion this past week. I checked in early for a special occasion, brought a bottle of champagne and asked that it be in the room and on ice for 8:30pm. They were more than accommodating, and the champagne was there as promised! The room was clean and comfortable, coffee and light desert at night and a great homemade breakfast in the morning. Overall a great stay, would highly recommend them to anyone staying in the area. We are planning to stay there again in the near future.

Our stay at the Sayre Mansion Inn was absolutely perfect -we really could not have wished for more. Upon our arrival we were told that the owners were offering us a free upgrade to the nicest suite in the mansion due to low occupancy that night. The suite was gorgeous and filled with every comfort. The staff were incredibly helpful and helped us find a restaurant for that night and prepared a perfect breakfast the next day. We will certainly be back for another stay and cannot recommend the Sayre Mansion Inn highly enough to anyone considering staying. You can't go wrong!

The Sayre Mansion is the place to go if you love old world charm. The atmosphere puts you back in time of yesteryear. It is filled with antiques and they really do a great job with keeping the house to it's original condition but with some upgrades. Their hospitality is the best. Mary was so very nice to us. She gave us some history on the originial owner, the town and she recommended restaurants and things to do. My husband treated me for my birthday and we stayed in the Carriage House which had a big bath with whirlpool tub, livingroom and bedroom. Breakfast in the dining room was wonderful and the food was delicious. We will defintely go back. J. Morris

Loved the Inn. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lola (Carrie's dog) was also friendly and stopped by to share some cookies. The food was excellent. The only thing that marred our stay was the road construction taking place right on Wyandotte in front of the Inn. It started at 5:45 am and was very loud and sometimes shook the room! I know the staff had no control over this, but it really made it unbearable to stay in our room during the day. However, at night, the view of the city and stars from the conservatory room was breathtaking. Hopefully, they will finish the road work soon!

The Sayre Mansion is a beautiful historic house in Bethlehm, PA. It is centrally located so you can walk to either the north side or the south side. It is great not having to drive during Musikfest. We return each summer.

Dear Carrie, Everything about our stay at your Inn was truly wonderful. The check in was very smooth and our room was delightful and quiet. The mornings were filled with the aroma of coffee and fresh baked goods, with a very delightful and complete breakfast in the most romantic setting in both the dining room and . . .my personal favorite . . .the grand front porch. With the sun peeking through the trees, this was just the most relaxing start of the day. Everyone we had contact with from the guests to the staff were so friendly and always had a pleasant smile. Rachel was so attentive and gracious to take time out of her busy day for a tour of the mansion and to explain the history of this wonderful building. Thank you so much for the hospitality and the service to make our time in your Inn most enjoyable. Phil and Nancy

We stayed during Musicfest, the Innkeeper was very helpful with directions, scheduled events and details. We also traveled outside of the area and were in need of directions to Harrison, NJ and NYC which the staff was very helpful in suggestions on how to and where to go. The rooms were charming and comfortable. The food was delicious. Will go back!

The only dissappointing item on the whole trip was the construction outside. I did not expect to find the sidewalks were completely gone as out trip was based around walking to and from Musikfest. this is not a dig on the mansion itself. our room and service were as always impeccable. the staff bends over backwards to make your stay perfect.

My friend and I attended Musikfest this year and decided to stay at the Sayre Mansion. We were welcomed as we walked in and brought up to our room. Our room was perfect! Very clean, and well put together. It felt very "home" like. The breakfast in the morning was very good as well! The walk to Musikfest wasn't far (5-10 minute walk). I would def stay here again if I have another opportunity to go to Bethlehem, PA!

Entering Sayre Mansion was pleasant, the front desk lady was very welcoming as was the entry way. Dog on premises, which didn't bother me personally but felt it was odd. The room was up 4 un-airconditioned flights of stairs, which was okay for us, but could have been a surprise for anyone with difficulty climbing stairs. Private bathroom was very nice with the exception of a VERY moldy bathroom mat. Loved the exfoliating soap and the Inn's attention to various linen needs. Overall, considering the age of the mansion, it's in good condition, but some updating on walls and window frames wouldn't hurt.

Every July, we go away for our anniversary weekend. I selected The Sayre Mansion Inn with little knowledge other than what was on the website. We were blown away...what a gem in NE PA. The staff couldn't do enough for us. And when's the last time you had a printed menu at breakfast in a B&B? We recommend The Sayre Mansion Inn for anyone looking to get away to a great PA town (Bethlehem) and stay in an amazing B&B!
4.2 on July 13, 2011
The Sayre Mansion is a beautiful Mansion, we loved the service, the food and the friendliness of the staff. The two things that we did not like about the place was the bed was very uncomfortable, and the traffic noise was heard through the night. Needless to say we did not sleep well.
4.6 on July 11, 2011
We were only there for a short stay (one night) but it really could not have been better. The room we had reserved was very close to the office area, but before I even asked the manager offered a quieter room that was available on the third floor. The breakfast was really delicious (great fresh fruit). We were very happy with our stay.

We had an excellent stay at the Sayre Mansion. They upgraded us to a beautiful room - the Robert Sayre Suite. We loved the library, and the feather bed. It was just the retreat we needed. Breakfast in the morning was also delicious - I especially loved the fresh fruit. Service was impeccable, and we will certainly return. A must see property!

The Sayre Mansion is a lovely Bed and Breakfast, the rooms are beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was prepared so you could either grab some cereal and juice and go, or linger a while for the eggs and waffles, etc. All was very good. We would love to stay here again, and would fully recommend it to others. Enjoy the beautiful Lehigh Valley.

Lovely Inn. We had room 15 which was a bit worn. Because it is a 1st floor room, the carpet was quite dirty looking and worn. The room itself, however, was clean (the linens, towels, bathroom, etc.). I'm sure rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors are a bit nicer. The treats and coffee in the afternoon were yummy as well as the full breakfast. A nice retreat in beautiful Bethlehem.

We love spending time at the inn and the proximity to restaurants and shops makes it a great place for a weekend getaway or a night retreat.

I was fortunate enough to be able to stay at this B&B through a groupon offer and so the value for what I actually paid was amazing. We were slightly worried that the website and photos on the site only showed this B&B in the best light however we were wrong - the photos did not do the B&B justice. We were lucky enough to stay in the Conservatory which was an amazing room the atrium views were spectacular - at night we had an amazing view of the Bethlehem star and also the casino at night was pretty cool. In the morning we awoke to birds flying right over head. Breakfast was excellent - we were able to call down in the morning and got the daily specials - there were 3 different options and they all sounded so good that I wanted to try them all. When breakfast did arrive we were not disappointed in the least - I have stayed at a few B&B in the past and by far this was the best breakfast I have had at a B&B. We stay in Bethlehem every few years and defiantly will book at the Sayer mansion during our next trip .... I think I may extend the stay to get an extra breakfast!
3.8 on May 06, 2011
The Sayre Mansion is a beautiful old house with lots of character. I don't know about the rooms in the main house, but we stayed in Suite 1 in the carriage house, and it was a little disappointing. A VERY busy street is right outside your windows, so that was disturbing during the night. I think the people who stayed there before us didn't know how to use the single-serve coffee packs provided, and must have dumped the grounds into the water reservoir?!? I had to clean out the machine before we could use it. Otherwise, the two innkeepers we met were outstanding - very friendly and helpful - and breakfast the next morning was wonderful. They had strong coffee, pastries, yogurt, cereal, granola...all this in addition to your main choice. The spinach, mushroom, and swiss omelet was so delicious! I would skip the carriage house and try a room in the main house next time.

The staff was very accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and menu superior to many other bed and breakfast ive been too. Our only complaint was the room we had was a feather bedded room and we found the mattress very uncomfortable because it was slanted downward and you rolled to the center of it once you got in it. We mentioned it to our host and they were very nice and changed our room. Maybe we were just not used to a feather bed. The mansion was very clean and charming. It was very romanic and downtown area had great restuarants. Especially the Apollo Grill. I would reccomend this B&B for a lovely weekend.

We just did a weekend get away and celebrated an anniversary with our cousin. The weekend was great and the staff at the mansion were always extremely helpful and willing to work with us. One problem we did encounter was the area restaurants - need to be more up-to-date on hours and days open and closed. Other than that, it was a great weekend and we thank you for your hospitality.

We stayed at the Sayre Mansion as "home base" while we celebrated a family event. The rooms are very clean and the beds' heavenly! Because of our large party, I was able to see 3 rooms at different price points, and I would say they are all a great value, especially for the location. The breakfast was delicious!! ... And the fresh coffee being avaiable for multiple/whenever cups is a huge plus with our caffeine lovin' family.

The room was clean, comfortable and HUGE. We loved the slate floor in the shower and the plush robes. The staff was very friendly--when we arrived to find our room wasn't ready, they gave us a complementary bottle of wine! Nice, and certainly worth the short wait in the lovely sitting room of the main house (with tea and cookies). The only two things I had issue with were the serious lack of TV channels and the quality of the breakfast, which had the looks but not the flavor.

We stayed in Suite #3, and the room was large and comfortable. The bed was extremely soft, the jacuzzi was great, and there was cream for the coffee in the fridge! The fireplace, however, was not a fireplace at all -- it had a light that was supposed to look like fire (I think), and it was difficult to activate and control. Also, the room was very close to a busy street.

The Sayre Mansion is a great place to stay, the building is historic and wonderfully decorated and comfortable, and the services & small amendities are great. My only complaint about this stay was that when I booked online with Bed & Breakfast.com, I booked a third floor room because I believed that would be quieter even though a first floor room was available, but when we arrived, we were given the first floor room which the staff said would be quiet, but it was NOT - as it was next to the breakfast area which became noisy before & during the breakfast hours (starting at 8AM)

The holidays often include unaccommodating accommodations with family...the joy of celebrating the season with loved ones in my hometown of Bethlehem can be marred by a sore neck, a small bed, and a lack of privacy! One night at the Sayre Mansion in a king size bed with down pillows and comforters was the cure...the fireplace and the heating lamp in the bathroom kept the winter chill at bay, contributing to warm toes and a dreamy night's sleep. Indeed, it would have been difficult to emerge from that luxurious cocoon of a bed had it not been for the aroma of homemade bread and pastries baking at 5:00 in the morning and the natural bath products coaxing us to greet the morning. Our stay provided a much needed get away and I look forward to surprising my parents with a weekend getaway package themselves when they celebrate their 40th anniversary next year.

I stayed here after the death of my sister in 2004;three months later at the death of my father and now after the death of our only daughter at 28. Stayed the weekend before Christmas and found the town and mansion unimpressive. It was expensive, have paid the same rate for rooms with Jacuzzis and the room was only average.(rm 12) I have stayed at other B&bs and it was much homier and knew who the innkeepers were. Their were different people on every shift and felt more like a hotel with a free breakfast. It was nicely decorated but too fancy for my taste. The breakfast was served buffet style, it was only warm by the time we got to it and it was self serve. In other b&bs that I have stayed at the innkeeper prepared it and even sat with us or asked us how our stay was. We dropped the key on the desk and left and never even saw the innkeeper. Will definitley not stay again.

We just returned from a family Christmas weekend at the Sayre Mansion. There were 9 of us, thus I purchased 4 rooms. I must say that the Sayre library as well as room 24 and 25 were very nice and well kept. Although the chandelier in the library could use a good cleaning, the crystals did not shine as they were covered with dust and a dingy white film. Room 14 left much to be desired as it needed some repair and updating. One entire wall consisted of a very bad plastering job, thus looking very sloppy, the moldings needed to be repainted and the carpet some fixing up. Room 14 was not supposed to be the room in which my husband and I stayed, however since this was a gift I felt embarrased in comparison to the other rooms and stayed there instead. The plus side is that the bed was very comfortable as mentioned in prior reviews. The decor of the Mansion was beautiful and very nicely decorated for Christmas. The staff was very pleasant upon check in and departure. I cannot say enough about the breakfast, it was much, much nicer than the usual bed and breakfast meals. Each morning, chafing dishes were filled with a nice variety of hot items. We had a very nice stay, with the exception of room 14 being a disappointment.

This was an overnight of a lifetime, a pleasant surprise in every way. The complimentary upgrade to a King Size bed (since I am tall) and priced with the magazine offer discount really made us feel special.

We were very pleased by the room we had. The price was reasonable and included a large breakfast in the morning. I would highly recommend this Inn to anyone staying in the Bethlehem area. It was within one mile of the casino and had a great view of the town. The room was clean and very beautiful. We will be back. 5 Stars.

Beautiful B&B with lovely rooms. The only issue I had was that the beds have feather bed mattress coverings which I personally found too soft.

We so enjoyed our stay at the Sayre Mansion Inn! Everything was very clean, beds very comfortable, staff exceptionally helpful in giving directions, recommending restaurants, and meeting all our needs. I loved the fall decorations and the overall ambiance of the house. Breakfast was outstanding and plentiful- we loved the selections both mornings. Couldn't ask for more.

My husband planned a surprise get away to the Sayre Mansion. If you are up for a romantic getaway book the conservatory. Wow what an awesome experience.

I can't praise this Inn enough, everything about it was perfect. The service, we had two ladies help us during our stay, was helpful and attentive without being intrusive. Our room (number 14) had a large terrace and a small living room with television, and the bathroom was beautiful and very large. The food in the morning was delicious, omelettes made to order and tasty fruit, plus good coffee of course. But that's not even the best bit, this place has the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in, well at least our room did. It was the best night's sleep I had in two weeks in America. I really adored this place and would book again and again in a heartbeat.

My GF and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary in Suite 1 at the Sayer Mansion and had a phenomenal time. We arrived in Bethlehem at mid-day and enjoyed strolling the Main Street shops. We had a fantastic lunch at the Apollo Grill and then made our way over to the Sayer Mansion. We spent the rest of the afternoon in the rustic, but spotless room. Wine & cheese was available at the main house at 4:00, so we grabbed a glass and made our way to the perfect whirlpool tub for two!! We spent the night at the Sands Casino (5 minute cab ride), gambled, danced and had a late night bite to eat at the Emeril's Chophouse bar. Bam!! Our stay was topped off with a great breakfast in the morning and we headed back to my house...15 minutes away!! It felt like we were on another planet!!! The best weekend ever.

We stayed in Suite #3 and it exceeded every expectation! I can't say enough about the level of service and privacy received throughout our weekend. The town of Bethlehem was quaint, clean and wonderful. We will most certainly be returning to the Sayre Mansion for rest and relaxation!

We hadn't been to Bethlehem in many years, but we were so pleasantly surprised by everything it had to offer. Having a home base while you're traveling is very important to us and the Sayre Mansion Inn was the perfect place. Even though it's close to the hustle and bustle, once you step onto the property, the traffic and busyness just fades away. The Inn is appointed with many lovely things to look at and appreciate. Our room was just the right size, and more importantly it was quiet and restful. It was nice to have a choice for breakfast, unlike at some other B&Bs where you get whatever the cook feels like making. We'll definitely be making our way back to Bethlehem and we'll be staying at the Sayre.

Location is ideal--close to Lehigh U., the casino, and across the river from the historic downtown. The common rooms on the first floor are quaint but dowdy, even adjusting for the Inn's historic status. The guest rooms are pretty seedy; the doors are flush paneled as you might find in a flophouse. Furniture is of poor quality and down at the heels, although the mattress was exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom fixtures are OK, but the chipped paint and other deficiiencies in upgrading reflect a place that was remodeled on a shoestring. The staff was upscale and accommodating, and the breakfast was superb--great quiche, scrambled eggs with diced tomatoes, tasty pastries, etc. The high quality breakfast brought our stay a little closer to worth its cost, but not close enough.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Sayre Mansion Inn. We find that some B & B's are hit or miss, but this was definitely a hit. We stayed here on a recent trip to the Sands Casino and couldn't have been happier. The service was excellent and the room looked recently renovated with a very comfortable bed. I would recommend anyone coming to the area that needs a nice play to stay close to town with charm and hospitality to stay here.

We arrived on a Thursday and stayed through the weekend. We were extremely happy with everything about the Sayre Mansion. The staff were friendly and very helpful even though they were busy preparing for a busy weekend wedding. The rooms were fantastic and breakfast was wonderful. The dining room was set up so that you could interact with other guests or privately. We definitely recommend staying here.

My wife and I spent out 5th anniversary at the Sayre Mansion Inn recently. We were both extremely pleased with our stay and will most definitley go back again. It is charming, the staff is outstanding, the breakfast was very good and the location was great for us. I planned this as a surprise for my wife. She was very happy with my choice and felt it was the perfect romantic setting for our celebration. She is a light sleeper, but loved the bed and raved about how comfortable it was. We had one of the standard rooms and although it was a bit small, it was more than enough for the two of us.

It took us 3 years to use this gift card (a gift from my parents) they honored the card and it was so worth our wait. It was romantic, special, quiet, clean, and the staff were very professional and nice. It was a super treat. Thanks so much!

The Sayre Mansion is the perfect getaway. Located in the historic district, it's a short walk to local events, eateries, and shopping. We especially enjoy it when the Celtic Classic comes in September. You can enjoy the music and sit outside. It's perfect!

What a lovely inn. We too stayed in the library suite, but that night a wedding took place, so the inn staff had their hands full. I felt like I was bothering them with my needs, and it was difficult tracking down staff to help us. But, the suite was lovely and we enjoyed our stay very much. Having breakfast outside was just great. I'd like to go back and stay in the conservatory suite. My only big complaint about the rooms is that, although there was an abundance of wonderful large windows, the screens weren't down, so we couldn't open them, and the room was a bit stuffy (even with the AC going). I like to open windows, and I couldn't. One other thing, there's nowhere in the shower to set things (shampoo, comb, whatever) down, and the shower is a bit small for such an otherwise luxurious suite.

The conservatory (room #30) was filled with plants and sunshine. It was spacious and light. The feather bed was extremely comfortable. Sayre staff members were caring and professional. Great breakfasts and beautiful grounds.

We stayed overnight in Room 11, the Sayre Suite, a beautiful room with a separate library/sitting area. Good TV, plentiful lighting, nice bathroom with Thyme amenities and great bathrobes. Breakfast was okay, not as great as advertised. There's plenty to do in the Bethlehem area (even if it's not Christmas!), with a nice downtown with good restaurants and the LV Iron Pigs baseball team playing an easy 20 minute drive away. The room prices are a little high for such an out-of-the-way place..
