Stayed for one night. Service was fantastic. Romans were very clean and quiet. I enjoyed the chocolate, water, and sparkling grape juice that was provided. The breakfast was amazingly delicious. Would definitely reccommend staying here.
Our son is the local Lutheran minister in Nevis and Ackley, so we go visit a few times each year. We always stay at the Park Street Inn. Each room is unique and comfortable, the rates are very reasonable, the breakfast served is always large and delicious. The owner/innkeeper, Linda, is who makes this place feel like home when we are there.
Our son lives in Nevis and we visit several times a year. Having found the Park Street Inn, I can't imagine staying anywhere else. It is a beautiful place, very well maintained, and has a host and breakfast that are amazing.
July 2017 I had the pleasure of staying at Park St Inn in Nevis MN. The rooms were quiet. The food excellent and very generous servings. The atmosphere of the entire inn - furnished in antiques made you want to just sit in every room and spend your day just soaking up the ambience. The Hugh home had decks off upstairs bedrooms and an inviting large porch that reminded one of bygone days of porch sitting and lemonade and waving at neighbors as they walked by. My schedule for the week was very busy and Linda ( owner/innkeeper/cook) accommodated my breakfast time and was so pleasant a person you could sit with your coffee and chat for hours. Thank you Linda for a safe - most relaxing - stay during my week in Nevis MN. I will be back. Bonnie Lee Van dake
First time at a bed and breakfast, had a great time. Beautiful house and rooms, amazing food, and the nicest people! These guys have a 5 star rating for a reason. Also within easy walking distance of a nice public beach, bar and grill, and gas station. We will definitely be back.
This was my first stay at a B&B and would highly recommend! The innkeeper was very friendly, had amazing breakfasts for us and her hospitality was great! Room was very clean, we had everything we needed. Would stay there again!
It was a wonderful stay with the best breakfast we have had at any b&b. The grotto was a unique room and very comfy. The local bar and grill a block away (Iron Horse) was recently updated with great food and great atmosphere. Highly recommend.
My husband and I came to The Park Street Inn for a weekend away to celebrate our first anniversary and we stayed in the Blue Room. Everything was absolutely lovely. The room was so comfortable, and just beautifully put together. We loved sitting on the porch in the evening and watching the sky grow dark, listening to the loons. The food was seriously amazing, the raspberry filled french toast was to die for and the gingerbread cookie we had with our afternoon coffee melted in our mouths. We have been telling all our friends in Minneapolis that if they want a weekend away up north we absolutely recommend The Park Street Inn! Thank you so much for a fantastic weekend!
Nice place. Gorgeous home and rooms with beautiful lake across the street. It's location however is in the midst of some more run down homes which unfortunately detracts from the homes beauty. There is also a dog next door who likes to bark. The iron horse restaurant in town serves the best prime rib I've ever had. All and all worth the trip. Linda, the owner is friendly and welcoming. She is not intrusive which is greatly appreciated.
Having a reputation for being picky, it is not very common for most things to exceed my expectations. Linda and her Park Street Inn did, however. For a price lower than the nearby budget motels, my husband and I got treated like old friends. Linda accommodated our two special diets (vegan/cardio and vegetarian) along with the less picky others at the table. The wifi worked much better than what one gets in most fancy hotels and the beds were also more comfortable than what one expects. It is unlikely my family will be holding another reunion in this area, so sadly, that means I will miss the opportunity to stay at this wonderful B&B again.
Lovely home in a quiet little town where you can walk to everything, and a great restaurant named after a famous moose. Doesn't get much better. Linda was a delightful host, helpful with local area info and a great cook. My room was very cozy.
The Park Street Inn is two blocks from the Heartland bike trail. My wife and I biked into Park Rapids and back and still had time to drive to Itasca State Park and see the headwaters of the Mississippi - all in one day. The rooms only have DVD players so make sure you bring a book and have other things to do for your time in the room.
We had a wonderful time here and enjoyed hearing the history of this charming home. The rooms were lovely and the breakfast was delicious! Linda was a warm and welcoming hostess. Would recommend to others who want a quiet getaway in the beautiful north country.
Park Street Inn was just what my girlfriend and I wanted for a romantic weekend together. We stayed in the Blue Room, and sat on the deck outside our room to watch the stars and share a glass of wine. We have many fond memories of our weekend, and I do hope we manage to return sometime.
