My husband and I had a wonderful experience with South Bridge Bed and Breakfast. The location is convenient to the center city, and Chelle helped us with accessing on-street parking. The breakfasts were gourmet-quality -- delicious and sustaining. Chelle even inquired about dietary restrictions: she knows how to cook with one hand tied behind her back. The room itself was comfortable and nicely decorated. Notice, too, that the side of the building boasts one of Philadelphia's murals.

I was so sad to leave there this morning! It's a beautiful place to stay and the owner is a wonderful person that makes delicious food. If you don't stay here when visiting Philadelphia, you are seriously missing out on a fantastic experience.

OUr experience at South Bridge B & B

3.6 on June 23, 2017

Our stay was very enjoyable. There was a choice of breakfast meals, time that we chose to eat, and attention was paid to our dietary needs. The food was excellent and great care was taken in the presentation. There was a friendly atmosphere and we met other guests at breakfast. The innkeeper was delightful and tried to assist us in any way that she could. . .

A Gem in Philly !!!

My boyfriend and I stayed there for a long weekend. Chelle was a terrific hostess and a font of information on sight seeing, transportation and restaurants. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfasts were delicious and innovative. Every day was yummier than the one before. We are looking forward to our next visit !!!

Suitable for short stay

My daughter and were very satisfied with the accommodations provided at the South Bridge Bed and Breakfast. The room was small but adequate and the bathroom was nicely appointed (although the shower was quite small). The innkeeper was pleasant and the breakfast served was very good, especially the avocado accents and fresh fruit smoothie! If you do not require all the amenities of a big name hotel, the South Bridge Bed and Breakfast is most certainly a wonderful option.

Innkeeper Response
If you REALLY PREFER the cozy comfort and personal attention of a boutique bed and breakfast rather than the sterile "boxes" and added-on amenities of the big name hotels, this is the place for you. (N.B. Trip Advisor rank last summer: 12th of top 25 hotels in the city.)

Had a great experience here

4.8 on October 23, 2015

We had a great experience here over the 5 days Chelle hosted us. The breakfast was new and different everyday, as well as delicious! The room was clean and comfy. The weather made it difficult to keep the room temperature right- very cold when we arrived and now unseasonably warm, but we slept well. We would stay here again.

Great room, nice breakfast and bikers heaven

We spent two nights with Shelly and loved our stay. We were there to bike to Valley Forge - the brand new bike trail extension is within a block. One of the best bike trails we've been on. The B&B is in the perfect location for restaurants and all historical sights.

Convienient to Amtrak

A very comfortable house and a nice place for a walk in downtown Philadelphia. Chelle Greenfield is a perfect host, discreet and avalable whenever needed. Chelle's breakfast is an absolute bliss, with a good sense of humor. I warmly recommend South Bridge B&B!!! Thanks Chelle! Frederic

Super convenient location if you want walking access to Penn, downtown and the historical district. The room is a bit small, but clean and comfortable and the owner is very personable.
