My daughter and were very satisfied with the accommodations provided at the South Bridge Bed and Breakfast. The room was small but adequate and the bathroom was nicely appointed (although the shower was quite small). The innkeeper was pleasant and the breakfast served was very good, especially the avocado accents and fresh fruit smoothie! If you do not require all the amenities of a big name hotel, the South Bridge Bed and Breakfast is most certainly a wonderful option.
If you REALLY PREFER the cozy comfort and personal attention of a boutique bed and breakfast rather than the sterile "boxes" and added-on amenities of the big name hotels, this is the place for you. (N.B. Trip Advisor rank last summer: 12th of top 25 hotels in the city.)

We had a great experience here over the 5 days Chelle hosted us. The breakfast was new and different everyday, as well as delicious! The room was clean and comfy. The weather made it difficult to keep the room temperature right- very cold when we arrived and now unseasonably warm, but we slept well. We would stay here again.

We spent two nights with Shelly and loved our stay. We were there to bike to Valley Forge - the brand new bike trail extension is within a block. One of the best bike trails we've been on. The B&B is in the perfect location for restaurants and all historical sights.

A very comfortable house and a nice place for a walk in downtown Philadelphia. Chelle Greenfield is a perfect host, discreet and avalable whenever needed. Chelle's breakfast is an absolute bliss, with a good sense of humor. I warmly recommend South Bridge B&B!!! Thanks Chelle! Frederic

Super convenient location if you want walking access to Penn, downtown and the historical district. The room is a bit small, but clean and comfortable and the owner is very personable.

The owner is engaging and knowledgeable, the breakfasts are fantastic! We liked the kitties and the location can't be beat for us. It's a 15 walk to the commuter train station (which connects to the airport) and about a 30 minute walk to Philadelphia Station (which connects Amtrak).

Great location and a terrific hostess - gracious, helpful and a terrific cook. The mattress was very soft and the carpets and shower could have used a good cleaning.
I am very sorry that your experience was not completely positive. The areas that you mention have been attended to and will not be a problem in the future. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

The room we stayed in is tastefully themed, the bed is extremely comfortable and warm (which was a bonus on one of the coldest nights in Phily). The shower is great with fantastic water pressure. As mentioned in previous reviews the custom gourmet breakfast cannot be praised highly enough. Very close to all the tourist attractions, buses, but we walked everywhere. Parking was not difficult to find in one of the side streets.
Second floor room has central A/C and ceiling fan. Queen-size bed with pillow-top mattress and luxury 600-thread-count linens. Two night-table with reading lamps, desk and chair overlooking private garden. Cable HDTV, HBO. Upholstered bench, wardrobe, and free-standing full-length mirror. Private bath en suite features fully tiled shower with modern rain-shower head and dispensers of bodywash, shampoo, and conditioner. The clear-glass lav is beautifully etched in gold-fish design.
