I have stayed here before but it was a first for my husband. It's lovely to arrive to homemade cookies and beverages and a cozy room. This B and B thinks of all the details including books to read, movies to watch and current newspapers! The morning breakfast is superb- all homemade and fresh! We look forward to returning! We really liked the place. The rooms are nice and spacious and the B&B is situated within walking distance of town. The food was plentiful and while the breads were wonderful, the main course left a bit to be desired. After all the hype we received from the emails, I was a bit disappointed in not meeting Peggy. She was in the kitchen and sent out her staff to "make sure we paid". While it was probably a miscommunication by her staff in the way they put it, it was a bit odd. It would have been nice to meet Peggy personally as we stay at B&Bs for the personal touch. I do give her credit though hat she went the extra mile with everything else. Nice place. If you are in the area, check it out.
Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you! I am not sure when you stayed, but some weekends are very busy! I try to get out and meet everyone, and will make sure we coach employees to approach this issue a bit more diplomatically. If I can't be there for guests, I want each of my employees to handle things as I would!

We have stayed at this bed and breakfast once before and loved it! I like the homey atmosphere. The complementary fresh baked cookies and beverages make this Bed and Breakfast feel more like home. The breakfast is outstanding. The owner wasn't very friendly but the staff that checked us in and out and served us breakfast were very polite and friendly.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay at Grape Arbor B and B. We thought the accommodations and breakfasts were very good and the location was very convenient to local attractions, the wineries, Erie, Presque Isle, etc. However, we had no face soap nor bath soap. Also, we were frequently bothered by baby spiders that would drop down from the ceiling as we sat in the living room. For us, it was more of a nuisance than anything. As info, we stayed in the Merlot Suite. We would recommend Grape Arbor B and B.
Wow! I wish you had said something to me about both issues that you had! We do always leave two kinds of soap with the shampoo and lotion, and if housekeeping missed it...just a word to us would let us correct it! I have never heard of the spider issue before, but have had someone come in and spray to make sure it never happens again. Hope to see you again for a flawless stay!

Absolutely lovely B&B with an extraordinary staff. Customer service was pristine and exceeded expectation. Bathroom was very small and a challenge to use in the room we chose (Concord). In addition, we had a difficult time sleeping with the train whistles occurring throughout the night. This was our ONLY dissappointment!!! The food was 5 Star and service was outstanding. 'Love the stunning decor and charming kitties. Thank you!

We stayed here for the weekend as we came to the Erie area to get married. North East is an quaint town and the Grape Arbor Inn is a lovely B&B. I read before going the trains keep you up at night yet we barely heard them! Breakfast was wonderful and our waitress, April, was a delight.

Grape Arbor was the first stop of a weeklong trip in which we hoped to cycle as much as possible. How lucky, then, that the Inn is about a block from a fabulous bike shop! We stopped in to see if they had a couple of things we still needed and ask about bike trails and they were a font of information - even provided us with detailed route maps and helped us navigate parking downtown! Note: the area is hilly with grade on most roads so be prepared to get a workout. We stayed in the Cabernet Suite and very much enjoyed the fact that it is separate from the main house where breakfast was served. It allowed us to spend the time together (it was also our 30th anniversary trip) without feeling guilty about not really hanging out in the common rooms. I'm not sure if I paid attention in the room description to the fact that there are two buildings. If you would rather not venture outside to get to breakfast you should probably double check which building you are booking. Breakfast was fantastic! I've read a couple reviews by people who were surprised by the fact that the Inn needed an actual time stated for a breakfast reservation. This has been the practice at almost every B & B I've stayed in but if you're not used to this you should be forewarned. Overall the inn was welcoming - terrific home baked food, (including fabulous lemon cookies you can snitch anytime from the public cookie jar) lovely surroundings etc. Only warnings I would give is that the bed in the Cabernet Suite was a bit uncomfortable - my husband has a bad back that did suffer a tad the next day. I've read that this bed has a feather topper - it may be that it was compacted and needs to be re-fluffed. Also the property as a whole has a very period look that might not appeal to everyone. The exterior has a few small maintenance issues that did not bother me but might put someone else off.

I stayed in the Niagara Room over a holiday weekend. I had a great time with my partner. The inn is located is near the town square. There are restaurants and shops located within walking distance. The breakfast was great. I really enjoyed the french toast and pancakes. My partner and parents had the egg bakes both days. There are cats at one of the locations, so if you have an allergy be sure to let them know when you book. My partner has a mild allergy and he didn't have any issues. The cat's are not allowed in guest rooms. I would stay here if I came back.
Thanks for your kind words! We enjoyed having you, and definitely hope that you come back.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here - the breakfast was delicious, the innkeepers were super friendly, the room was spacious and clean, and the common areas were lovely. My husband and I stayed at the Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast for an over-nighter and we were very happy with our experience. We stayed in a suite which was quite roomy and clean. The bed was very comfortable! We walked to the center of town where we shopped in some antique stores, then stopped for an ice cream cone. The cherry on the top of our experience was the delicious breakfast! Thank you, Peggy!

The Grape Arbor B&B was exactly what we needed! We got married on Sunday and were starting to feel worn out after all the festivities. We arrived on Monday, and after welcoming us and a quick tour, the inn keeper Patty got us settled in. There was nice selection of movies which we took advantage of that first night as we rested, and breakfast the next morning was AMAZING!! We grabbed some of the tour pamphlets that are available and spent the day coming in and out and everytime we came back there was something else we noticed that put a unique touch on the B&B! We absolutely loved our visit, and are already planning our next one!!

I understood and was totally fine with the fact that the owner loves and has cats as indicated on their website - BUT I didn't think they'd be sleeping in the middle of the dining room table that we would be eating from in the morning. The room was okay, nothing great. The woman that greeted and checked us in was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the owner was less that cordial and borderline rude each time we encountered her. I guess we've been spoiled by B&B owners that care about their guests and helping ensure they enjoy their stay.
Thank you for your feedback; I always take comments from guests to heart and strive to correct issues. Yes, we have an elderly cat who has started to occasionally jump on the dining room table; so for that reason we have not been setting the table until the morning right before breakfast when the cats are not about. I always try to be friendly and helpful, but apparently I will have to work harder! Sometimes we have many things going on that are distracting, but that should not be an excuse.

Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast is a wonderful place! We went for a two night stay and could not have asked for a cozier, more welcoming room, friendly greeters (two cats!) and amazing breakfast options!
4.6 on January 27, 2016
Small comforts and considerations make this B&B a winner. Two varieties of cookies in the jar and cool soft drinks in the fridge are both offered freely to all guests, as well as pre-notified options for providing things like cookies and strawberries up to massages. The library has a nice selection of books, VHS, and DVD (not a massive collection but great selections). Finally this is a stay right downtown in North East so accessing local options on foot for shopping and dining is a piece of cake. The big thing - breakfast! Terrific breakfast here. Apple crumb cake, freshly diced fruit, harvest grain buns, french toast, and farmer's casserole when my wife and I stayed.

We needed a winter retreat for a night, and even though Grape Arbor is only 45 minutes from home, we have always had top results in every area. This time was no exception. We had the downstairs Isabella room which is private, comfortable and has it's own gas fireplace for a cozy winter atmosphere. The breakfasts are indulgent, interesting and delicious...every time. Peggy is invariably prepared, helpful and cheerful. We came away feeling that we had double the rejuvenation than the time we actually spent there. I cannot recommend it enough!

Great room close to my favorite spots on 4 Mile, 7 mile, 12 mile, etc. The breakfast was GREAT! Really set the tone for the day as I went fishing. I will stay here again for sure. Ohh - the cookies were awesome too. I took a bunch before I left.

My husband and I have celebrated our 16th and 27th wedding anniversaries at the Grape Arbor B&B. Both visits were perfect. The area is absolutely wonderful in the fall and the house is decorated beautifully for the holiday. Our favorite part to staying at the B&B is the four course breakfast. The food is wonderful and you definitely do not leave hungry. Our room was on the first floor and the King size bed sits next to the new gas fireplace that kept the room's temperature perfect. We would definitely recommend the Grape Arbor B&B for a romantic getaway!!

The suite we stayed in was a good value for the money. The breakfasts were out of this world--several courses, and everything was delicious. The rooms as well as the common areas are Victorian-style and beautiful. Decorations are tactful. The rooms were impeccably clean. Overall it's a very relaxing place to stay, and in an excellent location for anything near North East. The only critical thing I have to mention is that I didn't feel really safe and secure. The jamb on the main door had been broken at some point, apparently from someone having to break down the door. It was glued back together instead of being replaced. Not secure. Moreover there was a creepy door at the end of the hall in our suite that led to some area that was not part of our suite. In fact, we heard voices that seemed to be right on the other side of the door, from what we assumed were other guests. If that door were replaced with a wall, and the door jamb were fixed, I would have felt better and not at all creeped out, and the stay would have been perfect.
We are glad that you enjoyed your breakfast and your suite. There is one suite that has a door that adjoins another suite that is securely locked unless guests rent the entire upstairs of that building. Obviously your comments regarding a door were concerning, and I immediately went and inspected all of the doors in the suites, but could not find what was described. All of our rooms have deadbolt locks, no room has ever been entered in the manner that you describe.

We had a delightful stay at the Grape Arbor B&B for 4 days this past week. A lovely historic building filled with antiques with great places to curl up with one of their books or magazines and munch on their homemade cookies. I really appreciated all the advance info that we received before we arrived, on the inn itself, area attractions and dining recommendations. The highlight of the inn is the food. Exquisite multi course breakfasts, all made from scratch. Each meal was entirely different and featured our choice of entree, a homemade muffin or coffee cake, homemade bread, fresh fruit and a wide selection of juices. Everything was cooked to perfection.
We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay!

We had a wonderful stay in the Steuben Suite of the Grape Arbor B&B last weekend. The room was comfortable and well-appointed and the house itself was absolutely lovely with comfortable sitting rooms and (for those of you who need it) very good WiFi. There were even earplugs provided for those who might be disturbed by street noises and the nearby train (not a problem for us). Peggy, the innkeeper was warmly welcoming and the breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. I would definitely recommend the Grape Arbor B&B. One note -- and this is NOT a complaint -- there are cats on the premises, so those with allergies should be aware.

The gentleman that greeted us gave us a tour of the house and walked us next door to show us our room as well. There were fresh baked cookies and treats in the house and a library of books and movies at our disposal. The four course breakfast in the morning was fantastic! Breads, pastries, fruit, souffle eggs and a variety of juice, tea and coffee to select from. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Erie!

My friend and I stayed at the Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast while in North East for the Uncorked wine event. We first saw Grape Arbor last year while at the same event and thought it was a beautiful establishment with friendly people. We were not let down. We were met by Paul at check-in and immediately felt like we were at home! Paul gave us a tour of the B & B and was super friendly. We stayed in the Steuben Suite. The room was spacious and beautiful. Both beds were very comfortable to sleep in and the two bathrooms was very convenient. We had access to treats and tea/coffee our entire stay. The library room was very inviting and the furniture comfortable to sit and relax on while reading and enjoying a morning cup of coffee. The other guests were super friendly. Breakfast was a four-course experience. Delicious food!!! Highly recommend the French toast. Will stay at the Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast again.

This was our first day at a bed-and-breakfast and we absolutely loved it! We were immediately greeted by the innkeeper as soon as we arrived. And he offered to upgrade us to a suite. We were so pleased with the room we decided to stay in our room and not the suite. We like the feel of the main house and our room was on the first floor . We felt like it was more cozy and intimate. The bathroom were small but this is a Victorian home from the 1800s so were expected that. The water pressure was good and the water was nice and hot. We will definitely be staying there again!

Stayed in the Riesling Suite. I was glad that we took a portable fan along for white noise. The train noise I had read about wasn't an issue. We slept very well. Only comment I have to make was about breakfast---even though it was delicious there were too many bread-type items. Typical meal: cake, bread, fruit and if you didn't like the egg casserole of the day---followed by waffles or pancakes. It would have been better to make this a 3-course meal, and eliminate the second item. Serving staff was friendly and outgoing. I would have preferred that server did not pet the cat and then go to the kitchen for our next course. Was hand washing involved behind closed doors? I don't know. And we never met the host. Unusual in a B&B.......
I am glad that you enjoyed your stay! We try to give guests choices with breakfast; some folks don't want or can't eat a coffee cake, and prefer a roll or toast--so we provide both. Because some folks don't or can't eat eggs; we provide a choice of an egg or pancake type main menu. Most of our guests appreciate a choice, and we don't expect folks to eat everything! I'm sorry that I missed you; I do try and take an occasional day off!

We loved visiting North East, the wineries, the lakes and the scenery. The Inn was excellent, and the breakfasts were absolutely fabulous. We're hoping to see Peggy Hauser's cookbook out in the near future. She and her staff were so friendly, informative and very efficient. It was so nice to come home at night and enjoy the warm sitting rooms and fireplace and truly relax. The bed was very comfortable and we loved that the fireplace automatically came on when it got under 70 to take the chill out. We loved the vintage halloween decorations, very stylish and tasteful. We will definitely make another trip. Thanks so much, Art & Eileen

We stayed at the beginning of October, when weather in the Erie area can be anything. This time it was just chilly enough that we needed the heat to be on, but they had not gotten a chance to get the heating system up and running yet. The space heater they gave us was not working correctly, but when I alerted the staff (the cook, actually, as he was the only one around) he immediately brought a new one to our room and made sure that it worked correctly. The breakfasts were absolutely lovely and plentiful -- if you leave breakfast hungry, it is your own fault! The location is perfect for a tour of the area wineries, being just about halfway between the Erie and SW NY ends of the wine trail. Would definitely stay there again!

Me And My wife stayed at the Grape Arbor as part of our elopement to the Erie area. We found the Grape arbor online and booked it. The Staff were all wonderful. Breakfast was EXCELLENT!!! The room we had was alot more room than we expected. We had our our entrance into the house and it included a decent sized bedroom, a small living area and a bathroom. All the furnishings were period style and in very good condition. The bed and bedding were very plush and comfortable. The only draw back to this place was the Train noise. Lots of Trains. This was my first stay at a bed and breakfast, and it exceeded my expectations for sure! My room was cozy, adorable, and very clean. The breakfast was incredible! It's a four-course breakfast, and both days that I stayed, I didn't need to eat anything else until dinner. Everything from the fridge stocked with water and soda to the coffee machine that makes any kind of hot beverage you could ever want to the super-yummy cookies made fresh every day made me beyond comfortable -- you would pay for almost all of that at any hotel! I was also pleasantly surprised that there was a TV in my room, that there was free wifi, and that each room had its own air conditioning unit in addition to central air for the comfort and convenience of each guest. The innkeepers and staff were very nice, friendly, and accommodating. My only real complaint was that the shower in my room (Concord) was super-small. If I'm ever in that area again, I will definitely be back, and I will be recommending this place to anyone I know who will be visiting the area. Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast, thank you so much for the lovely weekend! :)

My one-night stay in the Niagara Room at Grape Arbor was very pleasant. The room was beautifully decorated and had everything one could need. I arrived after normal check-in time, but the directions given me over the phone were detailed and complete and I had no problem locating my room and settling in. I am wondering if they instructed the black and white cat to greet me - he/she was in the parking area while I unloaded luggage and I had some cat treats in the car. Needless to say, the cat got a treat! The breakfast was simply delicious - both choices sounded so good that I wished I were two people! The dining area in the entryway was sunlit and the tables were set very prettily. My only wish: a hook on the bathroom door would have been handy.

We stayed one night at Grape Arbor while enjoying a night at a local winery. We were greeted by Paul who was very nice and welcoming. Check in was easy. He pointed out the different features/amenities of the facility then escorted us to our room which was in the second building. We were staying in the Merlot Suite which was on the second floor in the rear of the building. It was very spacious and very clean. It had 2 separate rooms...a bedroom with a comfortable king-sized bed and a sitting room with a TV/DVD/VCR player, a full sized refrigerator along with a small microwave. The bathroom was spacious with a full sized tub. Breakfast was delicious. We started out with a homemade cherry pastry, then a fresh fruit cup along with homemade rolls and juice. The main entree was a choice of zucchini/sausage casserole or stuffed french toast bananas foster with a rum sauce. We both chose the zucchini casserole and were not disappointed...it was everything we expected based on previous reviews. The cookie jar was filled at all times except we wanted one for the road and sadly all the chocolate chips were gone! It was a wonderful stay at a very charming B & B and if we're back in the area we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The only downside is you hear the trains running through town all night long but if you aren't bothered by the noise you'll have a wonderful stay.

In every way Peg and her staff ( Kathleen and Paul), made sure my husband and I had a wonderful stay. From the moment we walked in they helped us get situated to the B&B, the town and the surrounding Wine Trail. The Merlot Suite was spacious, private and comfortable. The four course breakfast was such a bonus. I loved many common areas inside and outside that the Grape Arbor has to offer. We enjoyed walking the two blocks into town for lunch and dinner. Cute small town with much to offer.

The Cabernet Suite is the most expensive at the Grape Arbor for a reason. It is HUGE and very well-appointed. The entry room is a cute living room with TV, mini-fridge, couch and loveseat. The bedroom is enormous with bed, desk and sitting area. The bathroom is also enormous with a great double jacuzzi and separate shower. However, unfortunately, the suite is far from quiet. Based on other's reviews, we were aware that many rooms in this B&B were quite noisy due to trains and the police station right across the street. We took our chances and as a result, my husband, who is a light-to-medium sleeper, says he woke up all through the night. It's very unfortunate as all other parts of our stay were wonderful and supremely relaxing. The trains came by constantly the whole time we were there and there was quite a bit of traffic noise too. The breakfast was delicious and also enormous. Everything was incredibly clean and you would never know the owner has cats on the premises (except that they sit around outside!). My husband is allergic and he says he didn't notice anything, even in the common area. I just wish something could be done about the noise.

We found our stay at Grape Arbor in North East convenient, hospitable, delicious, and so comfortable and friendly it was like staying a friend or family member's house. The breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared, the cookies and snacks made available were a delicious taste of home, and the complimentary soda was so thoughtful. The room was extremely clean, spacious, and private. The VHS and DVD selection was fantastic and provided us with a wonderful surprise. The outdoor hammock was lovely. The staff was great. I loved it and I will be staying there again!

Suite was incredible and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The only catch was that nearly all night trains come through town and blow their whistles! Light sleepers should probably (unfortunately) look elsewhere since everything under the B&Bs control was perfect.

this was a beautiful place...we were greeted with a warm welcome...the staff very friendly and helpful....the food was out of this world! what an awesome breakfast! the room could have used a little tlc though, was old and needed a little freshness to it. our bathroom was small but adequate....the tub needs to be unclogged as we had a bath along with our shower, did not feel comfortable going to the bathroom, as it had a hallway door right in front of the toilet, that i felt someone may try to open, that door probably could be take out and replaced with a wall.....but it was a nice place overall.

We had a 2 night getaway at grape arbor b&b. the room was clean and it was better than expected. Staff was kind and helpful when you needed anything and let you be if you wanted as well. The breakfasts were great and they had different choices each day. I would definitely recommend this as well as we will probably go there again!

Just a wonderful experience staying at this fine B&B. The room was fantastic and the breakfasts were superb. The staff was friendly and helpful and the other guests seemed so happy and friendly. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Try it if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed. Carol & Tim from Ohio

The Steuben Room has it's own private hallway with one and a half baths and a separate sitting room. The 2 breakfasts we shared together, were both equally unique and delicious!

Stayed at Grape Arbor B&B overnight after a day of wine tasting. My husband and I stayed in the merlot suite. We liked the private entrance and big rooms. We loved the cats walking around the grounds. We love cats. The breakfast was a delight. Paul was awesome! Breakfast was served with a smile. So much food. This is a good place to stay if you go wine tasting. Very close to all wineries.

After planning our wedding in Washington, PA, we decided to celebrate our new marriage doing what we love most: relaxing and drinking wine. The Grape Arbor was perfect for both. The spa tub and provided amenities were perfect for setting a romantic mood. We were also greeted with a bottle of local champagne, chocolates, and flower petals spread across the king sized bed. What a wonderful experience! The location was perfect for visiting local vineyards. It was easy enough to navigate the area, and we were able to stop at plenty with a slight detour at a local beach to put our feet in the sand and water. Breakfast each morning was a fantastic adventure; you will in fact not be hungry until it is time to eat dinner. Truly a great value and a place we would go back to spend another romantic vacation.

Charming small town just off I-90 past Erie. Skip the motels, stay here! On a Quiet street in a Norman Rockwellian town, you can relax and see local sights. Wine tastings are available and your minutes from Lake Erie. We had a 2 room suite, large bath, very comfortable. The 4 course breakfast was amazing, just about pays for the stay! Beautiful library, free videos to watch in your room, or bring your own. Nice people.. Richard

We loved staying in the Merlot Suite-roomy, comfortable, and clean! The breakfasts were spectacular!! A four course meal where you get a choice of main dish to eat. Not like other B&B's where one thing was served to everyone. Service was great! Always friendly and serving with a smile. Within walking distance to the small town and a short driving distance from plenty of other attractions, wineries, shopping centers and more. Highly recommend staying here-worth every dollar we spent!!

30 year anniversary celebration...let's head to wine country! We were so pleased with the 3 room suite - Merlot. We were not expecting to have our own corner of the 2nd floor with three separate rooms with a hallway, it was like staying at our own little house! Kathleen took such great care of us and she was a pleasure to speak with. The 4 course breakfast was absolutely DELIC! Drink lots of wine and you won't hear the train either!!! LOL

When visiting North East, Pa this is the only place we will stay. It is very comfortable, has a bottomless supply of home made cookies and the breakfast is phenomenal.

This was a welcomed respite after a ten hour drive en route to retrieve my daughter from college. A warm welcoming note, fresh cookies and soft drinks in the frig. My room was charming and I slept well in a comfy bed. The breakfast was one of the best with all fresh ingredients and cooked to order. My stay was way too short but I will be back again! Thank you!

My wife and I stayed to celebrate our first anniversary. Room was large, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The breakfast here was exquisite and bountiful, with outstanding flavor. Everything made from scratch by a very talented and professional staff. I highly recommend Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast and plan to return.

Me and my wife stayed here after touring the local wineries. We stayed in the Isabella room. The room was spotless clean. Beds very comfy. We even had a little patio where we could relax with a coffee in the morning. The host was extremely nice and went out of his way to make our stay perfect. We already have plans to stay again sometime in the fall

Had a great time at the Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast. The rooms and main areas are very clean. The rooms have everything you could need to have a wonderful stay. Breakfast was outstanding. The wine tours make the trip even more interesting. Service was good but could be more pleasant. Overall, I recommend the place.

planned a surprise 50th for finace' with 2 other couples. They got there before us and had the room decorated and a cake. The staff was great and helped out letting them in the room to do this. He was very surprised. Would stay there again. Peg and Paul were wonderful.

We had an amazing experience at Grape Arbor. The best breakfast that I have ever had, the friendliest staff, and an amazing suite!! My favorite part, aside from breakfast, were the fresh baked cookies available at any time. Some of the best chocolate chip cookies ever! This place certainly exceeded my expectations. Plus, I got engaged while we were there! This is definitely a place that I and my future husband will return to for years to come!

This was our fourth stay at the Grape Arbot. We loved the in-room gas fireplace, as it was about 20 degrees outside. We liked that everything worked as it should: the heating, the plumbing, the TV, the lights - you can't say that about every B&B.. The hallway coffee maker worked fine, and the cookie jar was full. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had two entree selections, and with the rolls & juice & fruit, it was more than enough to eat. We shall definitely return:)

This B & B was centrally located and easy to find. Entering the driveway you could tell that this was a well kept establishment. I was pleased and knew I made the right choice. The spiral staircase was breathtaking and the room was cozy with the fireplace and candles in the windows. We had a good nights sleep in the four posted bed. My only complaint is that the shower was small. Breakfast was delicious from start to finish. The cranberry pie was my favorite along with warm plums and country casserole. We only stayed one night but when we visit the wineries again we will stay at the Grape Arbor. Sue

We stayed in the Cabernet Suite for two nights for our fifth anniversary. Everything was amazing. Our suite was spotless and the innkeepers could not have been more helpful in helping my husband find a nicer restaurant for dinner. The wineries are literally down the road, and there a few cute places in town to eat as well. The breakfast at the inn was homemade and delicious. They went above and beyond to make our stay special. We will be returning.

This was my husband's and my first experience staying at a Bed and Breakfast. We were apprehensive at first, but wanted to try one. This was a wonderful stay for us. The room was clean, spacious, private, and cozy. The entire home was charming. It was an old house that was extremely well-kept and tastefully decorated for the fall season. The breakfast was like none other. It was unique, interesting, and delicious. The host was friendly and inviting. From the baked peach, the whole grain harvest roll, the apple crumb cake, to the homemade cookies in the lobby -- everything led to a wonderful experience.

The B&B is a great place to come to in the fall. Peggy did a nice job with the decorations and blended nicely with the foliage outside. It was a very relaxing evening and morning there.

This was our fourth stay at the Grape Arbor! We chose to try four different rooms for each stay and they were all beautiful and the beds very comfortable! The breakfasts are amazing. Our last breakfast during this stay was so wonderful and asked if I could get the recipe. I made it this weekend and it was delicious all over again! Everyone was very nice! My husband and I are looking forward to staying there again soon!

What a lovely place to spend our 21st Anniversary. The rooms, service, and food were all wonderful. The location was perfect for exploring the countryside, enjoying the shores of lake Eerie, and visiting Niagara Falls. We would certainly recommend it to family and friends and hope to stay again the next time we are in the area.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Grape Arbor. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious but a little on the sweet side. Could have used more of a balanced selection.
3.6 on September 26, 2013
The cabernet suite was larger than I expected and very nicely decorated. I only wish the windows opened for fresh air. The bed was very comfortable and it was nice to have a small refrigerator in the living area. The love seat was beginning to show some sagging. The breakfasts were delicious but a little too much to eat- don't really need the baked goods in addition to the entrees.
5 on September 21, 2013
If you like Victorian decor you will love this place.Breakfast was great.Downtown Erie is not far away at all.We had a great weekend.
5 on September 20, 2013
I expected a quaint bed and bath and was instead surprised by a large bedroom, copious sitting room and bath sized to accommodate a comfortable arm chair. I enjoy showers, but some who would prefer a tub won't find one here. There is a small fridge in the room, wine glasses, cork screw (for guests visiting the wine region), and a coffee maker. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast, however, was the real show stopper. It was worth the price of admission! The baker must be commended for the lovely apple crumb cake, breakfast rolls, and ever present cookies in the reception area. I thought the service was commendable, and the multi course home made breakfast delightful. I would heartily recommend Grape Arbor to anyone interested in a getaway to small town America.

We stayed in the Riesling Suite. The suite was clean and nice, but it would've been nice to have a tv in the bedroom and not just in the sitting area. Little details (such as Grape Arbor tea cups and wine glasses) were nice. It would've been nice to have a local bottle of wine given as an arrival gift.
Thank you for the input regarding the TV! We have chosen to put one television in the rooms, to allow for modern convenience, but do want to keep some of the historic feel of the property. We currently provide complementary water and canned sodas for all guests. Because tastes and sensitivities to alcoholic beverages differ widely, I have chosen to obtain those for guests upon request. Thanks for noticing the cleanliness of your room! We work hard to keep it that way.

My husband and I spent a very soggy weekend on our bike traveling to this Bed and Breakfast. Upon arriving, the host made us very feel very welcome and was very accomodating in answering our questions. He even went a step above and found us a place to eat. We were hungry, tired and wet and really appreciated the extra TLC he gave us to make our stay more comfortable. The room was very nice as well and the breakfast was outstanding! I've never had that much to eat at a B&B and we've stayed in many!

We stayed here several years ago & enjoyed it.This time we felt it was in need of up grading. The bathroom was not very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast & the hostess was very pleasing.
I am glad that you decided to return here! You didn't indicate the room that you stayed in, so it is a little difficult to respond. I do agree that some of the bathrooms in the standard rooms, such as the Concord are smaller. Part of the reason for that is to try and maintain the historical integrity of the house and rooms. The baths in the Hampson House are quite large, as the configuration of the house was changed with renovation. Hope to see you back in the future!
5 on September 06, 2013
Our stay at the Grape Arbor Bed & Breakfast was wonderful, the breakfast is outstanding, the best we've ever had. We use the Don Gaspar Inn in New Mexico as our measurement (since up until now it was the best breakfast) however the Grape Arbor put's them to shame, you will not be disappointed. We highly recommend the Grape Arbor!!
4.6 on September 03, 2013
We also make it a point to stay here when visiting the Erie area. The rooms are fairly large, with the suites being very spacious. The breakfasts are fantastic. They are a 4 or 5 courses and large enough that we usually do not need a lunch. The location is within 20 minutes of downown Erie and close to many of the local vineyards.
5 on September 02, 2013
This is our 7th or 8th visit to the Grape Arbor, we love this place. So relaxing and the breakfasts are to die for. If you are looking for a wonderful wine tasting weekend, for the value you cannot do better. We are NEVER disappointed.
3.6 on September 02, 2013
We stayed in the Concord Room which was very nicely decorated with a comfortable bed and a two person seating area. The in room bath was tiny especially the shower which was the size of a phone booth, maybe smaller. If you are a larger person I would not recommend this room for you; instead I would go with one of the suites. Breakfast is hardy and you won't leave hungry. Breakfast is served on the sunporch or in the dining room which houses nice antiques. Both are nice atmospheres. The innkeeper is a cat lover and you will see a cat or two or three roaming either inside or out. While I am highly allergic to those critters I did not have a problem staying two nights. Soft drinks and water are provided for guests as needed from a small help yourself refridgerator near the kitchen. This inn has a very homey feel; nothing at all like a hotel room. The only drawback was you could hear several train whistles throughout the night. If you are a light sleeper bring the ear plugs. This was our second stay here. I would recommend this inn.
5 on August 30, 2013
We visited Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast in late August, 2013, and found it much to our liking. We have recently rediscovered B&B’s as a pleasant respite from motels and lodges when we vacation. We especially liked the individual attention we received at Grape Arbor. Also, some amenities we found enjoyable were: the domesticated “outside” cats were friendly and offered a special touch because we have cats of our own; the homemade cookies were a special treat; having available a self-made coffee/tea dispenser outside the room and a refrigerator filled with water and soft drinks was especially nice; and yes, the breakfast was a standout! Overall, our stay was memorable and very pleasurable.

I have to say this is one of the best if not the best Bed & Breakfast my wife and I have stayed in. The spacious rooms, great breakfast and service along with the perfect town to wander around in (even near a beach) makes for a must visit!
4.2 on August 27, 2013
We visited this B&B for our anniversary and enjoyed our visit greatly! The food and hospitality were wonderful and the room was very cozy and comfortable. The only downside we experienced was train horns throughout the night. (but the innkeeper has no control in that, just wanted to note it). Was an awesome B&B and will consider returning for another visit! :)
We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay! We try to ensure the comfort of all of our guests. Sometimes we find that folks who are used to a very quiet rural setting can find some of the ambient sounds of the neighborhood different from what they are used to. The number and sounds of the trains from the tracks that are almost a mile away vary with the season and the direction of the wind.
5 on August 25, 2013
My one complaint, my allergies were doing great until at night the air conditioning didn't click on.
I am sorry that you had a problem; all but one of the guest rooms has air conditioning that is controlled by the occupant. Our weather, like most of the country this summer, has varied from summer-like one day, to autumn-like the next, so sometimes it is difficult to maintain temperatures in homes that are 175 years old that satisfy everyone.
5 on August 25, 2013
This was our third stay at the Grape Arbor Inn. The breakfast with the homemade baked goods, fresh fruits and entrees is the best B&B breakfast we have ever encountered! The rocking chairs on the front porch were very relaxing as we watched the world go by. There is also a new courtyard with a fabulous garden and a variety of seating---even a hammock! The Inn is well positioned in Lake Erie Wine country with at least 20 wineries close by. Local restaurants ( a few within walking distance) offer a very good selection of food! Looking forward to our next stay!

Coming from the UK my family and I have stayed in a number of bed and breakfasts - Grape Arbor is definitely in the top three. Anyone looking for a place to stay in Erie's wine country should consider staying here, it will not disappoint!

We stayed in the Chancellor suite at the Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast and were extremely pleased with our stay. The room was amazing, the inn was beautiful, and the breakfast...oh the breakfast. The three course gourmet breakfast that they feed you is absolutely amazing. The inn keeper was not always friendly to us, but we really enjoyed our stay anyway. We will definitely be coming back to this fabulous place!
We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us! We put a lot of effort into making the experience the best that it can be.

The Grape Arbor will not disappoint. The breakfast was amazing and the room was lovely. North East is a quaint little town and provides the perfect backdrop for a visit to an outstanding B & B.
3.8 on August 10, 2013
This has got to be one the nicest, if the not the nicest place to stay in North East, PA. Close to many wineries and the downtown area. Bedrooms were very nice and the place was spotless. Minor complaints would be small bathrooms with showers that are smaller than you find on most cruise ships. Also, the bedrooms had very few outlets to charge cell phones, computers, etc, but I would not keep that me from going back again if I'm ever in the area.
We are happy that you enjoyed your stay! One of the challenges of a 175 year old building is deciding whether to maintain the integrity of the original room layout or change it entirely. We feel we have the best of both worlds with two buildings that reflect both decisions. You selected a room that was an original bedroom, and yes, it has a smaller bathroom. The suites in the Hampson House were specifically designed with larger bathrooms, and with every update, we have tried to add more outlets and other modern conveniences.

My now Husband and I stayed at Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast on our Wedding night. It was an hour from where our Wedding Reception was located, but after seeing the pictures on-line and reviewing the added room packages they had available (we chose the couples massage option), it was the perfect fit and WELL WORTH the drive :)
5 on August 07, 2013
Staff was friendly, and helpful in any way they could be. Good knowledge of the areas restaurants and wineries. The rooms were meticulously clean and tidy. Beautifully furnished as well. No micro-fridge. Full size! A three course breakfast I couldn't have imagined. Fresh pastries, breakfast buns, fruit salads, casseroles. All original and made on site. The Merlot suite had 3 nice sized rooms and we didn't even get to use the outdoor courtyard. We will be back. The only question is when!
Thank you for the wonderful complements! We can't wait for your return!

We stayed in the cabernet suite and loved everything. It was so warm and comfortable. Loved that we had room to move around. The breakfast was outstanding gourmet all the way. Peggy is the best host in town and Paul was such a great help at which wineries to visit and his recommendations for breakfast was spot on. The cookies in the cookie jar were such a special treat. Grape Arbor Bed & Breakfast was a great place to celebrate our anniversary.

This is our second year we have stayed there for two nights and days , 3 couples all friends for 30 years ! We had a great stay once again . Rooms are clean , decorated very nicely , and there's always a cookie jar full of fresh made cookies to snack on . The owner seemed much more open and friendly this year , my guess is she remembered us , and wished is a plesent stay , also recommended a nice Reasturant for us to eat at and it was good . The morning breakfasts are full of home made yummiest baked goods . You won't be disappointed very relaxing . I'm sure we will do it again next year , as we're planing on doing this every year with good friends .JC

A very nice place to stay. The rooms are adorable and well kept. The area around the buildings and neighborhood is super cute. They have a mini fridge stocked with water and pop. They have fresh baked cookies that are kept in cookie jars near the fridge. They also provide a wonderful homemade breakfast that they serve in their cute dining room. We have been there in July for the past two years. We cant wait to go back!

I took my mom for a mother/daughter getaway. It was nice that there was a room on the main floor. Perfect for my mom. We really enjoyed the cats. (Though we so wanted to let them in our room. lol) It was very comfy there, beautiful back garden. Peaceful, yet you were still walking distance of town shopping and restaurants.

Don't miss the garden! It is absolutely charming. And I highly recommend the waffles for breakfast.

This bed & breakfast was convenient to Erie & Presque Isle. It was also close to the wineries in North East, PA and others in New York. It was very comfortable and breakfasts were fantastic. Both Peggy and Amanda were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

This was our second stay and it was as nice as the first visit 6 months ago. Amanda and Peggy are wonderful as innkeeper's, food is delicious and amenities such ss fresh cookies, cold and hot beverage stations, make for a wonderful stay. There is no where else we now want to stay when traveling to Erie area!

The room in which we stayed, the Concord, was quite nice, but is on the eastern side of the house which made it difficult to sleep in since we were there on sunny days. The food, as always, was tasty and filling.

The Grape Arbor is located in a quaint town, North East, in Pa within a short drive from Erie and Lake Erie beaches. Lovely property in a pleasant setting. Easy to find and within walking distance of restaurants and antique stores. Nice trip. I Plan on going again.

We stayed at The Grape Arbor B and B this past weekend. The luxe nature of the property, comfortable classic furnishings and fabulous gourmet 4 course breakfast will have us coming back. Well situated in North East, PA, THRE WERE OVER 20 wineries in an hour radius including PA and NY.
4.6 on May 15, 2013
Not only were the employees of the Grape Arbor B&B very friendly, the entire town was. We were amazed how many people came up to us and asked where we were from, gave us recommendations, shared history of the town, etc. One winery GAVE us a bottle of wine to take to dinner. A first for us! The whole experience made the Grape Arbor B&B stay even better.
4.8 on May 08, 2013
My girlfriend and I stayed here on a 'mini' vacation during the Wine & Cheese Festival. We were greatly impressed with the rooms, hospitality and especially the food. Each morning the 3 course breakfast was superb. The homemade cookies in the common room were a perfect late night snack. The location is prime for anyone looking to tour the North East Wineries. The North East downtown scene, while small and closes at 6 pm, is worth a stroll through.
We are so glad that you enjoyed your time with us! We are a small town and like it that way...but you missed our First Friday on Friday night when you were here--the sidewalks and streets were buzzing!

What a great little get away. Many wineries close by and enjoyed a gorgeous sunset over Lake Erie. Plenty to do and see!

The rooms were so well decorated. Not overdone like some Victorian houses. The food was absolutely amazing and large quantities were served. The staff was helpful and available without being intrusive. Would definitely stay here again if going back to wine country of Erie. The baking was some of the best I have had, including cookies available for snacking.

I went to stay here for an evening with my boyfriend as he had just come into town, and we wanted a quick getaway for one night. Other members of my family had stayed here before and I was really excited to try it for myself. Grape Arbor did NOT disappoint and was everything I hoped it could be: a beautiful suite to stay in, wonderful food, accommodating staff (we had to check in early) and COOKIES! Wonderful, glorious cookies ;) A visit from wonderpet Perelli was all we needed to complete this wonderful stay, and he came to visit during breakfast. Peggy was wonderful, and a delight to talk to. I would stay here again and again, and we definitely plan to :)

Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast is the best Bed and Breakfast I have ever been to! The innkeeper and staff were very friendly and informative about the area. Tea, coffee, and juices were available whenever we needed them, as were cookies and small snacks. Our room was clean, bright, and very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and served beautifully! I would come back to Grape Arbor any day! :)

We really enjoyed our stay at the Niagara room. All the little "extras," such as the library full of games and movies, to a visit from the resident cat, made the trip all the more special. The breakfast included coffee cake, fresh rolls, fruit, and a choice of a pancakes and sausage or an egg casserole -- everything tasted amazing. Thanks for a great stay!

Welcoming, warm, cozy, immaculate! We came in between Christmas and New Years to cross country ski. Grape Arbor is a luxorious rest after a long day of skiing and only a 15 minute drive to an amazing cross country spot (Wilderness Lodge - 20 inches of snow in 2 days!) Peggy got our day started with an incredible made from scratch breakfast. We warmed up next to our real flame gas fireplace, had a cookie and tea, and slept in European style with a cozy comforter. We have staryed in B&Bs all over the country and Grape Arbor is truly among the best! Thank you Peggy.

Spent the weekend out in North East as a mini-vacation, and thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Grape Arbor. Both my girlfriend and I were greeted warmly and our time there was everything the pair of us wanted and more. The food was fantastic, the house warm, welcoming, and classically beautiful, and the staff was friendly. We hope to stay again sometime in the next year.

Grape Arbor was wonderful! Terrific room, plenty of privacy which i was unsure about at B&Bs. Staff was great. Absolutely loved that there were 2 cats who had the run of one of the buildings. They were very friendly and we took time to just see them. Food was exceptional. Neighborhood and the town were delightful for walking and browsing. If you stay here, don't miss going to Johnny B's restaurant, and take a short drive to The CrazY Parrot on the shore of Lake Erie. We dined at sunset and it was absolutely gorgeous view. Would love to go back to Grape Arbor and spend more than one night.

Enjoyable stay in lovely surroundings, quiet and relaxing. A wonderful filling breakfast was served with many different options. Close enough for a day trip to Niagara Falls and walking distance to local churches, park, library and historical museum. Convenient to many wineries for tours and tasting.
4.8 on September 21, 2012
We loved every aspect of Grape Arbor. The monthly emails were very helpful in getting an early peek at GA, but in reality, it just did not do justice to what we actually experienced last week. We don't think that anything said would have been adequate. Our only regret was to not have experienced this during June or July, when the grounds would have been in full bloom. Our suite was devine; breakfast was delicious, and the hospitality was beyond expectations. vine, and the breakfast was great.
5 on September 17, 2012
We were greeted by a cheerful Lady that offered to carry in our bags,we had some questions and she was so helpful. She also took the time to just chat like we were old friends. You don't find that most places. The room was very comfortable and the fact it was on the first floor, next to the fresh cookies didn't hurt either! The breakfast was one of the most delicious meals we had in a bed and breakfast. Again very nice to have someone go out of their way to help with my husbands special diet! Over all we decided we would make that visit many more times! Thanks for the great experience.
5 on September 17, 2012
My husband and I have stayed at the Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast twice and plan on returning again. The rooms are beautifully done, the food is fanstastic, the innkeeper and staff are warm and friendly. Highly recommend to everyone.

Peggy and Amanda made our first experience staying at a B&B a memorable trip. We were spending a girls weekend visiting local wineries, and we didn't have to worry about anything regarding our accommodations. We were served an outstanding and fresh 4 course breakfast each morning. The rooms were large and comfortable. The staff paid such close attention to detail we felt like we were at home. If every B&B experience was like this one I would not stay in a hotel ever again while traveling!!

We had a pleasant stay at the Grape Arbor B&B. The room was very clean and the breakfast was scrumptious and filling! The shared refridgerator was a nice touch to keep our bottle of wine chilled until ready to drink. We also appreciated the juice, water and soda as well as the delicious cookies that were available to the guests. The B&B itself was very quite, but we could hear the train that goes through the town. We would definitly stay at this B&B again.

We discovered the Grape Abor on our 25th Anniversary. Looking for a place just out of the way, we found the Inn located in North East, PA. The Inn concists of two, very historical buildings and Peggy will gladly tell you their story anytime, she is very proud of her Inn. This year on our 35th Anniversary, we stayed in the Isabella Room, a quiet room in the main house that really felt like home. Next morning we sat down to another of Peg's great four course breakfasts. She should really write her own cookbook. We always seem to visit the Inn in the early fall. It is a nice time of the year to go for a drive and see the vineyards, wineries and the lake. The vines this year at the rear of the Grape Abor were filled with grapes, ready to pick, must have been a good year. This year was a really great time to visit the Grape abor.

My sister and I were fortunate enough to find this B&B after countless hours of searching for the perfect place. We were convinced after reading other reviews, and began planning our stay in Erie, PA. The Inn Keeper Peggy was extremely accomodating after we told her our MANY food allergies. Her home made breakfast was to die for, and I would return in a heart beat. Our room was huge, and overlooking the main road. We didn't have trouble with any sort of noises throughout the night, and we loved the decor. Peggy kept a basket full of menus for local resteraunts which made it easier to decide where to eat. She also had a fridge stocked with cold drinks (pop, juice, water, etc;) all free for those staying. In addition, there were also delicious cookies at the entrance of the house, and a nice tea/coffee maker outside our room. Both houses were beautiful - even the outdoors area was pleasant (hammock, garden...gorgeous). I will be returning to Grape Arbor any time I stay in PA. Thank you for an amazing experience Peggy!

Four middle aged couples headed west to North East for a wine tasting weekend. We stayed at the Grape Arbor B&B. Excellent choice. Rooms are very spacious, clean, and decorated beautifully. Amanda checked us in and also was our server at breakfast. Very pleasant girl always willing to answer any questions and help us on our way. Breakfast was scrumptious with more than enough to eat. The homemade cookies all day long were an added treat. The train does go often and whistles quite a bit. Otherwise, very quiet town. Peggy was a very gracious host. Even brought candles out to us on the patio at night so we weren't in the dark. I would definitely choose thias B&B again.

This was a very nice B&B. I stayed in the Concord Room. Nice size room and bright. It was very clean. Shower is a little small but it gets the job done. I didn't particularly find the town all that great.....the park is extremely nice though. I wasn't there for the town as I was staying for a short visit with someone. Peggy, the owner, was very pleasant, however, I thought Amanda was a little rough around the edges and a little too abrupt for my taste.

Perfect location to venture to Erie's Presque Isle & Maritime Museum or to the area's wine country or to the Lucy & Desi Museum in Jamestown, NY. Perfect night's sleep every night. Perfect breakfast every morning. Perfect staff offering helpful hints and cheery faces. Perfect getaway for a weekend or week. North East is a perfect little town for slowing down the pace of life.

Location was convenient to walk to shops and restaurants in downtown North East. Beautiful common areas, including outside seating to enjoy an evening glass of wine. The breakfasts were wonderful! The staff were all very friendly and helpful with any questions we had about the area.

We were pleasantly surprised by the venue. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Rustic but updated. The food was fantastic!!! and all the guys camped out at the fresh cookie jars!! Wasnt sure about the owner at first. She seemed pleasantly uninterested in us and a little annoyed at times. By the end of our stay it seemed she had warmed a bit. We would definitley stay there again.

This was our first time staying at the Grape Arbor and it was great! The first night there was 4 couples and in the morning they took care of all of us together for such a great breakfast! Peggy is such a great cook! And every time the guys walked past the cookie jars they ate a cookie so she was baking overtime! LOL The second morning was another great breakfast! I don't think we would stay at a hotel/motel ever again! Thanks again Peggy & staff!! :)

I must say that the Grape Arbor is a wonderful place to visit ! It is decorated beautifully , the rooms are very spacious , very clean, the value for the service and accommodations is outstanding. The Inn Keeper was so welcoming and kind, recommending dining, what to do , where to go . We will recommend this fine establishment to family and friends and most certainly stay here again. It is a wonderful place to stay and you must try it yourself ! Ohh , and did I mention the delicious breakfast.................

Charming and picturesque B&B. Quiet. Very comfortable bed and pillows. TV in room, Isabella, oddly placed on cabinet rather than across from bed. Innkeeper very accommodating bringing breakfast to room our since I chose to avoid dining area due to my cat allergy.

This B&B is 5-star all the way...from the beautiful roomy accommodations and delicious breakfasts to the quaint town where it is located! The innkeeper was friendly and helpful. I have Celiac and require a special diet. The food was incredible and gluten free! Niagara Falls is less than 2 hours away...Fort Niagara, Lake Ontario and Lake Erie are all sites worth seeing and doable in a day. We will revisit the Grape Arbor!

You will enjoy the breakfast as presented by Peggy and her assistants too!!

My husband and I stayed two nights at Grape Arbor and had a wonderful time. We were greated and felt very comfortable right away. All of the previous reviews were right on. When you enter the doors, it smells like freshly baked cookies, which are available throughout the day. We got a tour and noticed little details that made this place so special, such as coffee and tea available any time. Also, you can borrow a DVD, game or book. The breakfasts were amazing and definitely enough to fill you up for a while. We visited many of the local wineries in North East and loved all of the tastings. We particularly loved South Shore Winery. The people in the community were extremely friendly and what a beautiful little town. We will absolutely be back again!

Sadly, I was only able to stay one night in this beautiful period home, conveniently located in the heart of the North East historic district. Next time I will definitely stay longer, as it was so relaxing and enjoyable. The spacious Niagara room was very well appointed with the attention to detail that guests truly appreciate: extra (nice, thick & fluffy!) towels, plenty of light (reading and otherwise), free Wifi (in an 1835 house!), comfortable bed and distinctive furnishings. If you want to feel "at home," and not like a room number at Holiday Inn, I recommend this lovely alternative. My only suggestion is that exterior lighting at night (if permitted in this historic district) would be very helpful, as the street is not well lit, and it's difficult to find the driveway after dark. The innkeeper has done a superlative job and is to be commended on retaining the period charm of this wonderful structure while providing modern comforts and gracious hospitality to her guests. I also fell in love with "Sweeney Todd," her gorgeous, jumbo Tuxedo cat who occasionally holds court in the parlor.

As soon as you walk in the door, you get a tour of the features of the building, so you instantly start to think about the things you might do in the time it takes to unwind. There are a library, a living room with nearby restaurants' menus, a hallway rack filled with good brochures about the area, and a hot-drinks station upstairs. The Steuben Suite is a real suite, with two separate bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. They put on an excellent breakfast (gingerbread blueberry coffee cake, fresh fruit, piping hot egg casserole, and enormous coffee cups). The breakfast rooms are set up to have easy conversations (or not) with your fellow travelers. There are nice reminders throughout the building that you're in Pennsylvania's special wine country. In all, a very nice place to stop, reasonably priced.

The breakfasts were excellent, four course meals and a delicious and satisfying way to begin the day. The room we stayed in (Concord) has the television on the left as you enter the room, which is in an awkward position to view it comfortably. There is also a fair amount of road noise from traffic as State Route 20 passed the building. If there were good storm windows, they may dampen the traffic noise.

We had to make special arrangements for a late arrival. No problem. We were greeted, walked thru and given restaurant recommendations from the owner based on what we wanted, she had menues to look thru as well. The common rooms were just gorgeous, with home made shortbread and choco chip cookies, delicious. Room was lovely. kitchen and bathroom were clean and what you would expect, Fridge was stocked with juice, water and pop, with more available in a help yourself fridge in the common rooms. Living social deal included wine which was also in the fridge and massage which was nice. The winery tour and wine and cheese tasting was fun, all aspects of this deal were well organized. Now onto breakfast. Never had better. You get a choice of 2 different things each day. Breakfast includes a hot beverage, a plethora of juice choices, a sweet treat to start, a homemade roll, with delicious preserves, fruit and an entree. I cannot describe this food adequetly. It was outstanding with beautiful place settings and great service. 2 friendly kitties live there, they were adorable. We will be back.

My husband and I stayed for one night in the Isabella room. As others have noted, it's on the first floor near the breakfast room, so if you want to sleep late that may be an issue, but didn't bother us since we get up early anyway. Also, we didn't find the sound of the trains bothersome. Innkeeper was pleasant, room was large and clean, it's an old house so we don't expect everything to look like new. Temperature control using the fireplace was good. Breakfast was good but not outstanding (we've stayed a couple of places where the innkeepers are gourmet chefs)...the yeast waffles I had were pretty dry. Pumpkin muffins were good. Cookies and soda/coffee/tea available any time, which is nice. We would definitely recommend this place/stay here again.

We stayed for our anniversary. It was a lovely place and will most likely stay again.
5 on December 10, 2011
This was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast. We purchased a 2-night stay through Living Social which also included visits and tastings at two wineries and a one hour massage for one person. We didn't really know what to expect, but we can now say the Innkeeper, Peggy, has set the bar pretty high for us from here on out! The Grape Arbor is two historic houses in the beautiful town of North East, PA. North East is on the coast of Lake Erie and is in the heart of Pennsylvania wine country. When we checked in, we were met by a very pleasant staff member who got us through the paper work and gave us a tour of the house. We were totally taken with how beautifully decorated for Christmas the house was. Each room had it's own theme and each could have been a picture right out of the Christmas Ideals magazine. We stayed in the Isabella Room on the first floor of the main house. The room was large and had a temperature controlled gas fireplace. The king-size bed was comfy and we slept like logs. Each morning we had a marvelous breakfast Peg prepared for us. The first morning we had fresh-baked, sour-cherry muffins, homemade waffles and bacon, fresh fruit, home baked pumpkin bread, juice and coffee. The second morning we had homemade cranberry scones, a bacon and egg frittata, honey-roasted pears with pomegranate and a light whipped cream. Everything was delicious! Peggy told us she loves to bake and you can really tell. Another secret is that there is a cookie jar that Peggy keeps filled with fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies all day. It's hard to walk by and not take one (or two!) If you're looking for a really nice b and b experience, you should consider The Grape Arbor. We'll be going back!

I arrived around 2:30 and I entered the establishment. I knocked on the door and Peggy the innkeeper was very short with me saying that check in was 3pm.I did not know that check in was at 3 because my daughter told me while I was driving. I was not offered a seat out of the rain. I had just driven two hours to get there and I was waterlogged. I was informed that the room that I was going to have was not even rented the night before. So it should have been ready. When I made the reservation, I was asked when I would like to check in and I said 11am and nothing was said at that time. Overall, we had a really good time.

My husband and I were celebrating our 20 th anniversary at the Grape Arbor B & B . It was our first time staying at a B&B. We had a wonderful experience. We stayed in a suite so we had our own bath , bedroom, and parlor. It had a very cozy fireplace to relax by at night. We had alot of privacy since we stayed in the other house (there are two) but when we went into the main house for breakfast we felt very welcome. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. We would definitely stay there again even though there are train whistles at night ,you get used to them the second night. We hope to make a return visit very soon.

This was our first stay at the Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast and we can't wait to go back. The Innkeeper seemed very tense at times but her staff were pleasant and accommodating. The common rooms in the main house were lovely, warm & decorated for the season. I loved the main dining room (it was my favorite room) and the breakfast is phenomenal. We stayed in the Merlot Suite and loved the private entrance and private kitchen. The area is lovely (vineyards as far as the eye can see) and the foliage was in full bloom. There were a few peculiarities that could have been improved, but overall, it was a lovely trip and we will definately go back.

Beautifully maintained bed & breakfast. This was our second stay because the first was so nice and enjoyable. Peggy is a wonderful lady and makes the best breakfast and cookies ever!!! I'd highly recommend the Grape Arbor if just for a short romantic weekend get away. It's central to many wineries and reminds you of great grandma/grandma's home from back in the day!!!!

Enjoyed our stay at Grape Arbor. Breakfasts were very good. Tasty and filling. Fireplace in room a very nice touch. Innkeepers very nice and accomodating. Only one complaint - cats in the inn, and my wife is allergic. No notice beforehand. We felt this should have been mentioned on the Web site.

Wonderful weekend at the Grape Arbor B&B. Perfect location to tour Lake Erie wine country! Great, clean rooms and friendly staff. Isabella room is a little lacking on privacy (as it is downstairs near the breakfast room) - otherwise a great stay. We will most certainly be back
2.8 on October 11, 2011
The house is quaint. The innkeeper and her assistant are very nice indeed, the rates are reasonable and the cats are friendly. Peeling paint and wallpaper in the Niagara Room detracts from the look of the place. The house is sandwiched between a busy Main St. and a very noisy railroad crossing ... not a restful, sleep-filled night. Breakfast was just so-so.
3.8 on October 10, 2011
The Grape Arbor was very charming. We stayed in Chancellor Suite....which was not what I had hoped it to be! The bed wasn't very cozy to sleep, and there was a window to view the stair case by our bed that creeped me out! They should have a curtain on it. Also, the sounds of the trains kept us up all night! Would I go back? Probly not but maybe for the breakfast......it was yummy!

Stayed in the Chancellor room 1 night, Sunday into Monday. The room was nice and very spacious. I thought it was very comfortable. We happenned to be there the last day of the annual wine festival and the location was perfect. Walking distance to everything including great dining loactions. Quite a few wineries within a short distance as well. Loved the smell of grapes in the air!! The breakfast was "just OK", but the homemade cookies were excellent. To be fair, my wife loved the breakfast. My wife and I also disagreed about the noise. I was awakened in the morning by seemingly endless train whistles and trucks jake braking. Very annoying. However, again to be fair, my wife didn't hear a thing. Bottom line, light sleeps beware. Overall, a nice place to stay and I would recommend staying here in the future. (Bring earplugs :-))

We stayed in the Niagra room over Labor day weekend and had a good time. The B&B is really cute, the rooms are spacious and the food (especially the chocolate chip cookies) was fantastic! The woman who owns the place was nice some of the time but a little rude at other times (nice when we were the only ones around but when other guests showed up she acted annoyed that we were walking through while she was giving a tour of the place). Still, A hostess with a little bit of an attitude is outweighed by the food and the price.

Peggy was great from the moment I met her until I left after breakfast the following morning....very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was VERY good, have you ever considered a change to Breakfast and Bed....it was that good. LOL Inn cleanliness, organization and hospitality were top notch. I if I have to find a negative from my stay I'd have to say that it was the surprising train rolling through a couple of time during the night. Thanks again for a great time.

While the room was clean and nice, the innkeeper was not as friendly as we had expected. The reviews I read before our stay went on and on about the friendliness but we were definately disappointed. We felt like we were a bother to her from check-in to check-out. Our hostess at breakfast was extremely friendly, however, and the food was certainly delish!

When we haved stayed here we never have to each a lunch, the 4 course breakfasts leave us full. The breakfasts are fantastic, with something for everyone each day. The fresh cookies available in the main house are to die for. The inn keeper is friendly, always willing to help you with things to do and recommendations for dining. PA Travelers

The Grape Arbor was excellent--the best B&B in which we have stayed. It was very convenient and easy to find, and the food was wonderful. In addition to breakfast. there were cookies and coffee/tea available all the time. Peggy was very helpful with dining suggestions. Our room was large and on the first floor, which was great. We enjoyed meeting the resident cat also. We will definitely plan to stay here again.

I stayed in the Steuben Suite, and I was very impressed with everything our room and the inn had to offer. The only issue we had was with our shower - it was like a wind tunnel! But it made for a funny story and it wouldn't deter me from coming back. The breakfast was amazing, and if I am ever in that area again, I know I will be staying here.
4.4 on August 09, 2011
The Grape Arbor was the first B&B that we ever stayed at. I was very impressed with the room size and the 4 course breakfast. We stayed at the B&B for a week, and enjoyed it very much. I loved the complimentary beavages and the fresh baked cookies. It is in a quiet, charming town, that is in 15 mins of great wineries and resturants. I am glad that we decided to stay at Grape Arbor than staying at a hotel, it was worth the money. I would definatly stay there again.
4.2 on August 09, 2011
Very nice close to wine trail and Chautauqua. The exterior door to the suite (outside) was dirty and in need of paint. It lowered expectations immediately but upon entering the rooms we found everything to be shipshape and clean. The breakfast was superb and the location was within walking distance to restaurants and shops.
4.6 on August 06, 2011
The house is beautiful, the room is comfortable and uncommonly spacious, and Peggy ably met our special dietary needs. Bonus: the town is charming, a delightful place for a walk on a summer evening.

I loved my stay at the Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast! The minute I walked into the Arbor Room, I felt months of stress begin to melt away. Peggy, the owner, was up very early putting her loving touch on breakfast. She went above and beyond to make sure I was able to stick to my gluten free diet. She made gluten free bread and pastries taste wonderful! Whenever I head to the North Coast/Lake Erie area, I plan to stay at the Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast.

My husband and I recently spent five nights at Grape Arbor and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The four-course breakfasts each morning were delicious: fresh, local ingredients; variety; imagination; and excellent preparation. We especially enjoyed the cheese souffle and the baked sweet goods made with local tart cherries or rhubarb or raspberries. In addition to anticipating breakfast, we enjoyed the solitude of our room or the outside patio and especially catching up each day with Sweeney, the cat. Peggy and her staff gave us respectful space to relax but were always willing to chat and to offer info and recommendations. We were there during Cherry Festival, so it wasn't always quiet on the street, but one should anticipate this aspect since the B&B is conveniently close to downtown North East. We would most definitely stay with Peggy and Sweeney again and look forward to doing so.

My husband and I had a very relaxing and wonderful time there. The Concord room was very nice. We both liked the "never ending" choclate chip cookie jar. The inn keepers had some nice "extras" that you don't always see....like a small frige with a variery of drinks all day and the ability to have tea or coffee even when it wasn't breakfast. Breakfast was nice with having two choices and everything we had was good. The only thing that we would have preferred more for breakfast was a more community dinning situation where you could get to know the other gets better, but that is just our preference. Over all it was a great stay in a nice area and would recommend it to our friends.

We had a lovely visit! We had our ten year old son with us, and when we got to our room, she already had the sofa bed pulled out, made up, with a down comforter on top! It was very welcoming! Breakfast the next day proved to be all that was said in all of the reviews I had read. Unbelievable breakfast with beautiful presentation. We felt extremely catered to, and the food was delicious. Before we left, we enjoyed the surrounding gardens of both houses. Gorgeous. We got lots of pictures! We can't wait until our next stay. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Also, very professional.

Very nice room, very nice breakfast. Functional, that's the feeling you get, concerning the hospitality—friendly and yet very business like. That certain warmness you feel at most B&B's was not there. Not cold, mind you, just different. Maybe just a NY way of respecting our privacy? Overall, though, we would highly recommend this inn; it's a nice place to stay in the middle of an area with over twelve very nice wineries nearby. Surprising dishes for breakfast, delightfully different, and there was plenty to eat.

Grape Arbor B&B made our anniversary get-away complete. The Cabernet suite was simply amazing! It was very spacious and we loved the amenities. I cannot even begin to explain how good the breakfasts were. Peggy (the innkeeper) was very hospitable as well. The location was great. It was very nice to be in wine country and only 20 minutes from downtown Erie. My wife and I both agree that we need to come back in the fall. We would highly recommend this B&B.

...this was an awesome break from the hustle and bustle of everday life. I didn't want to leave. I will definitely love to make a return to this oasis of relaxation. The staff was awesome, they were very helpful and pleasant, available but not in your face. Being close to Lake Erie was a plus, watching the sunset in this beautiful setting only added to the experience.

Planned a one night stay while visiting Erie to avoid chain hotels. Our dog boarded at a North East animal hospital, a plus. Although Peggy accommodated dietary requests at breakfast and supplied amenities that we've come to expect at our favorite inns, we could not get any rest. The properties are located on a street with traffic noise, but continuous train whistles woke us up each time we began to drift off to sleep. Sorry we chose to ignore a previous review which noted this.

My boyfriend and I are from pittsburgh and wanted a quick getaway for memorial day. I have been to the north east region before for the wine festival and we love wine, so we decided to make up our own wine tour and stay at grape arbor B&B. when we arrived we were told about all of the amenities in the main house, like coffee, tea, soda, water, juice, cookies, a library with books, games and movies, and a few sitting areas to socialize with other guests. she showed us to our room, which was in the house next door (which we chose specifically because the bf is allergic to cats and a cat lives in the main house), and the room was wonderful. we were on the second floor in the merlot suite, we had a private entrance to our room. the bathroom was immaculately clean which i was pleased about, and the room was a good size with a comfy king bed. each room has a tv with vcr and dvd player so you can borrow a movie from the library to watch in your room. the breakfast was also delicious and the staff were very friendly when serving the breakfast. i would definitely stay here again, either as another romantic getaway or for a girls weekend.

The Grape Arbor B&B was a very nice place to stay and have accessibility to the area wineries, as well as Lake Chautauqua and Presque Isle. We read various other comments regarding this B&B and had very high expectations for the breakfast - those expectations were definitely met!! A+!

Everything the other reviewers say is true. This B&B is lovely and the breakfast outstanding. Even their cat is charming. We stayed in the Cabernet room, which was spacious and very tasteful. The only problem was that we were right near the freight train tracks, so every half an hour a train would come by honking their horn for minutes at a time. We didn't get any sleep. As soon as my husband or I would fall alsleep a horn would wake us up. We don't think of ourselves as light sleepers but I haven't seen other complaints about the noise, so pehaps we are. We were so frazzled that we seriously considered driving home at 4 am, but neither of us were awake enough to be safe. It really was lovely otherwise and we are sad that we can't stay there again.

My husband and I stayed in the Isabella room of the main house. We were welcomed by the Innkeeper who advised us she was available to help us make dinner reservations if necessary, and that drinks and cookies were available. Upon entry, the room itself had a musty smell; opening the door to the outside helped to get the air circulating. The room was quite nice, the TV was across the room as opposed to in front of the bed, but I suppose that's not so important when visiting a B&B. The room is located next to a common area/library, and you could clearly hear every word that is said in there, so be advised. It wasn't really a problem for us, however other guests didn't leave that room until 9:30 at night. For us, the breakfast the next morning was superb. That alone convinced us to return again in the future, however we would choose to stay in another room.

Great old world accomodations and fantastic breakfasts. Nice ammenity with bar fridge stocked with water, juice & coffee creamers. Great home-made cookies available. My only criticisms would be the details in cleaning as I clean for a living and have certain expectations. The room was beautiful and neat and tidy but dust was visible on closet mirror doors, cabinets, door frames, window sills, and picture frames. We also have allergies to cats and although they made every effort to protect us by rooming us in the building where the cats do not go, it was evident when we had breakfast in the main house that cat's lived there as well. We had a wonderful weekend and very little effort would be required to make it the perfect stay for us..

My fiance and I arrived and we were absolutely delighted to see how charming of a place this was. We stayed in the Concord Room and it was better than we could have imagined. The breakfasts were out of this world. If you walk away hungry it is your own fault. Fresh pastries, danishes, bread, fruit, eggs, bacon, juice, coffee and fresh baked cookies. If anyone is thinking of staying at the Grape Arbor B&B do not think about it just go and do it. You will not be disappointed at all.

Room was large, clean, and well worth the price. Gas fireplace was nice but oddly situated at side of bed instead of at foot, but not complaining. Bathroom was cute but large enough, very clean, well lit, with the standard amenities. Although only a room and not a suite, there were 3 doors - 1 to facility's library, 1 to central hallway, and 1 to outside. Access to library and outside made this room even more wonderful, and it was only room on first floor. Noise from others didn't seem to be an issue, and the cat is very friendly. The breakfasts both mornings were unique and wonderful. Peggy was great and we will be back again. In fact, friends went the weekend after us but got the suite next door. I bet they'll have a great time too. North East, PA does seem to be a sleepy town so don't expect a variety of eateries for lunch and late dinners.

Lovely accomodations, but unfortunately did not realize that the owner had 3 cats living in the house which our room was housed. Made for a very challenging weekend! The room was beautiful, but the tv was very small and across the room, so it was hard to see. Our room was on the first floor and we found that anyone on the first floor could hear every word we said. Not much privacy. However, the breakfasts that were served during our 2 day stay were fabulous. Peggy prepared and served a wonderful breakfast that we will talk about for years to come. I would recommend if you want a quiet weekend away!

My wife & I stayed at the Grape Arbor for our fourth anniversary. The place was really beautiful inside. The common rooms like the library & living room are amazingly representative of the time period the place was built. There were homemade cookies sitting out that were so good with two coffee machines with an endless selection of many coffee types. The room was spacious, distinctive in style, with a fireplace that created a very relaxing mood. Breakfast was better than a five-star restaurant with very pleasant service. We will definitely return to the Grabe Arbor for another stay.

We much enjoyed our stay along with friends of ours. The breakfast was excellent as well as the hospitality. If you enjoy wine country, wine tastings and fly fishing for steelhead, this is the place to stay. The support of veterans on Veterans Day is sincerely appreciated.

With great hospitality and location, Grape Arbor continues to be our first choice in B&Bs.

This place was awesome! We visited NY for a wedding and were originally booked for the Holiday Inn Express. I am so glad that we decided to stay here. As soon as we got there we were greated with great hospitality and cookies!! The place was beautiful and the service was excellent. She provided us with directions to the mall and made our stay very easy! The room was the perfect size for my husband and I. We will stay here again for sure if we ever need to! The food was all homemade and so scrumptious! We just loved it!

The meals and hospitality at the Grape Arbor were outstanding. The shower in the Niagara room was way too small and difficult to take a thorough shower. Had breakfast in the sunroom one morning of our stay and the meal was fantastic with the exception of the little gnats flying around us the whole time, likely due to the hanging plants in the room. All in all, would definitely recommend this place to others!!

We just loved the location. Right in the middle of all the wineries and the fall scenery was just beautiful. Our room was so cozy with the fireplace, and OHHHH the chocolate chip cookies. We would definetly go back.

The room was pleasant, well kept and comfortable. The innkeeper paid special attention to small details such as a gourmet tea and coffee machine on the 2nd floor or the early risers or those like me who prefer a nice evening tea. Breakfast was 3 courses and absolutely divine; she truly has mastered a cheese soufflé. Wonderful place to stay and dine.

Beautiful architecture and attention to detail. The owner greeted us warmly with a review of the B&B's attributes. She also gave great tips for dining by having a basket of menues we could peruse. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast each morning was a true delight. She gave us two choices each day to choose from. The efficiency with making the reservation and checking out were not even a minute of stress. What a value for your money! Will definitely recommend it to our family and friends (already gave a couple the brochure!).

Beautiful old restored houses. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the innkeeper, Peggy, made us very welcome. My husband and I enjoyed our stay.

Grape Arbor is the first Bed & Breakfast experience for us and we will never stay at a hotel room again. The homemade breakfast far surpasses the cold continental or buffet breakfasts of a hotel. It was a gift from our daughters and we just keep coming back. We love the individuality & the story behind each room.Staying at a B&B makes you want to converse with the other guests. I just can't imagine asking the couple next to me at a hotel restaurant "where are you from?" We use the Grape Arbor as a 2 day get away, sometimes celebrating our birthdays or anniversary. Autumn is our favorite season, but would like to spend some time during Christmas. Peg & her husband are fabulous hosts, so accommodating and creative. Thank you so much for everything you do to make our stay so special. Steve & Rita Grant

I wasn't sure what to expect from a B & B but Grape Arbor made me a believer. My sister and I stayed in the Stuben suite, very nice and private, but the best part was the amazing breakfast. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

I would not hesitate to recommend Grape Harbor to anyone and hope to return there myself one day in the future. The breakfasts were exceptionally good.

The ambience was great and the food was delicious. We had variety and ample portions the 3 nights we stayed. Breakfast was always a delightful surprise and experience-- from the presentation, the baked breads and muffins, fruit, and main course. We also enjoyed the choice of snacks from tea, coffee, juices, water and mouth watering chocolate chip cookies!

Grape Arbor is a pleasant surprise in the sleepy town of North East. While a bit of a drive from Erie and the beaches of Presque Isle, it is very close to the wineries. My daughter and I stayed in the Steuben Suite. The house is beautifully furnished and our suite was very roomy. Breakfast was made-to-order. It was delicious but at a leisurely pace. We had an enjoyable dinner at the Crazy Parrot while we watched the beautiful sunset. I would definitely recommend the Grape Arbor when traveling in the area.

My family of 4 stayed at the Grape Arbor B&B in the CHANCELLOR SUITE in August 2010. What a beautiful place to stay. The rooms were spacious and decorated beautifully, the bed and pull out sofa were both very comfortable. The breakfast was superb. It was a pleasure to stay here and we will go back for another get away. Thank you Dave & Peggy!!!

My husband and I stayed at the Grape Arbor in early July of 2010. We wanted to get away for our five year anniversary. We stayed in the Cabernet Suite and loved it. The room was very nice and the bathroom excellent. We went to the Cherry Festival across the street, to the beach at Presque Isle, and visited Wineries. We had a very nice time and are very glad we stayed at the Grape Arbor. However, hands down, our favorite thing about our stay at this bed and breakfast was the BREAKFASTS. Wow, they were amazing! Everything was homemade and delicious. I cannot wait to return just to having such amazing food and such nice service:)

Grape Arbor Bed and Breakfast was the first stop on a whirlwind honeymoon for my wife and I. Each aspect of the Inn was outstanding. The innkeepers friendly, the rooms perfect, the food delicious and our stay priceless. Looking forward to returning soon.

I will definitely recommend this B&B to others. This was a much anticipated weekend away with my sister. The recommendations of the surrounding businesses were very helpful in planning our days. Waking up to the wonderful aromas coming from the kitchen was a great start to the day, along with the excellent breakfasts and delicious homemade cookies.

My fiance and I needed a weekend getaway desperately and decided to make a "spur-of-the-moment" trip to North East, PA. The Grape Arbor B & B was more than extraoridnary. Although it was located along a main road, it was very quiet and cozy. The breakfast was amazing and the service--OUTSTANDING. We stayed in the Riesling Suite which was very spacious and well decorated. We hope to return to Grape Arbor soon!

This is our 4th visit to the Grape Arbor. A beautiful setting, gorgeously decorated, comfortable rooms, and a fantastic breakfast. Innkeepers, Peggy and Dave, are great to talk to- very knowledgeable of the area.

My husband and I went to the Grape Arbor to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. We booked the Cabernet Suite and are so glad we did! The suite was above top of the line, the rooms were huge, and they were so cozy and home like. The grounds are beautiful especially in the fall as all of the trees were bright fall colors, and the little town of North East is so quaint and comfortable it makes the stay that much more inviting. The small beach area of the lake is only a 5 minute trip down the road and you are right in the middle of wine country! It is only a 20 minute ride into Erie and the highway is a beautiful trip into Erie or New York. The breakfast in the morning was of top quality and delicious! I would recommend this B & B to young and old. It was an absolute wonderful experience and I hope to make it back soon!

We were welcomed by a wonderful host into their B & B. The room had a romantic setting and was very nicely furnished and clean. The breakfast was "to die for". We were asked what time we would want served and the meal was served on schedule.

I stayed for four nights in August 2008 to visit relatives nearby. We stayed in the Riesling suite which has a king size bed, separate living room, and huge bathroom with jacuzzi tub. Great furnishings and very private. The breakfasts are incredible, and feature home baked goods. Leave your diet at home!

I stayed in the Cabernet Suite...HUGE! King bed with fireplace in the corner, large bathroom with oversized whirlpool tub, separate sitting room with TV & fridge. And a built-in desk with Wi-Fi! Great breakfast. Couldn't have been better. Thanks, Peggy and Dave for the great stay.
