The best kept "secret" in Lancaster! My fiance' and I have stayed here several times and it is a must visit each and every fall. Guests will find wonderful and clean accommodations, a breakfast to simply die for and hospitality that you only find in the Amish country of Pennsylvania. Your hosts treat their guests like family which, is the most important element to them on earth as can be detected by all of the family pictures so proudly displayed. Lancaster is great city with much history and culture to explore, as well as theater, museum's highlighting the city's involvement in our great country's independence, outlet shopping and great restaurants. Book your first visit soon and I promise, it won't be your last!

We very much enjoyed our one night stay. The Secret Garden is in a great location near downtown Lancaster, walking distance from many great restaurants, shops, and theater. Our hosts were so friendly and welcoming. The room was beautifully decorated. Note that the toilet and shower/tub in the Tropical Room don't give you much privacy, but that didn't bother us. Breakfast was delicious, and we felt very much at home. A wonderful experience overall.

We stay in different parts of Lancaster every year. Sometimes it's farm views this time we decided to try something different. We stayed downtown, away from the crazy route 30 traffic and it paid off. This charming inn boasts only three rooms. The innkeepers were so friendly and the breakfast was literally one of the best I halve ever had. Give them a try!

I really enjoyed everything about my stay here. The house is in a really cool neighborhood and is warm and inviting -- a nice mix between modern and classic furnishings and not overly frilly like some B&Bs. We stayed in the Tropical Room. Like the house itself, the design was mixed modern and traditional. The bed was beyond comfortable (apparently constructed by an Amish vendor in Ohio -- who knew!), and I enjoyed having a Jacuzzi bath. Some guests may not like that the bathroom is retrofitted directly in the room -- the toilet is simply behind a curtain -- but it really wasn't a big deal. If you're weird about it -- get over it! :) Marianne is an impressive chef -- her three-course breakfast that morning was as good as you'd find in a fancy restaurant for Sunday brunch. And I loved the garden out back. Amos did a great job designing it and caring for it. I had a cup of coffee out there before breakfast and it was peaceful and pretty. You can hear water features from the neighbors' homes Marianne and Amos are a lovely couple. I had a few opportunities to chat with them and found them as delightful as can be. I plan to stay here again in the future.

We had a wonderful time here. Marianne made us feel so welcome. the b&b is really lovely and the gardens beautiful. Breakfasts were delicious and filling! We enjoyed our conversations with both Marianne and Amos. We ended up being the only guests when we were there so we had the place to ourselves. I would highly recommend this b&b to anyone. The Garden Room is really wonderful. Miss it already!

We spent four days, three nights in Amish country Pa. We chose lancaster as our base as it was a good link to the various towns and farms read we wanted to visit and provided a good selection of restaurants for the evening, as well as an interesting market and historic buildings. It was a good choice. We stayed at the Secret Garden B&B which was outstanding. The basics were all in place: - good location where we could walk to the central retardant district - comfortable room with a very comfortable bed - outstanding breakfasts which saw us through most of the day, best of any B&B we have stayed in What differentiated this B&b from others we have stayed in was the inn keeper Mary Ann. We have never encountered such a welcoming host. Apart from providing us with a great breakfast, she was a fount of knowledge on the local area. But it was her warm and guenons hospitality which shone through. she made our stay in the area. Highly recommended.

Marianne and Amos were awesome to talk to and Friendly ,kind people. It made our experience mush more personable and while at the B&B we met other great couples that were celebrating their first wedding anniversary and also another couple celebrating their 25th which happened to be same day as ours.Marianne made us feel at home when we arrived. We say grace before our meals and at he Secret Garden you can expect that. The food was great! Thank you for making our first B&B a great time to remember and to complete our 25th wedding anniversary. God bless Jack & Rose
