A cozy get- away in a country atmosphere

The owners of the property were very accommodating and allowed us to arrive a bit earlier then their available time schedule. When we arrived we were greeted by 2 sweet dogs who welcomed us with a wag of their tails! The suite we were in had actually 2 rooms separated by sliding wooden doors . The kitchen area which was very nice was part of the room where a trundle bed was and a couple of recliners. The rooms were decorated in a sweet country style , which felt very homey. The main bedroom had a king bed and a very comfortable mattress. The room was huge and plenty of sitting area with a sofa. We were greeted with a plate full of goodies to snack on in the frig. Some sodas and water were also gifted in the frig. Candy was on the counter for people with a sweet tooth of which my daughter and I indulged in! The atmosphere outside was quite, surrounded by woods and flowers and cute tables and chairs to sit on . The breakfast was truly outstanding. From juice to fresh fruit to toast and jam from a country style jar and thick sliced ham, and a cheese and spinach quiche. Delicious cake sweets were also on the table and coffee. WE thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return again soon!

great B&B!

The Bear House B&B is a lovely place in the woods in Pennsylvania. Its close to the new Weaving School, The Red Stone Glen, and this is why I choose to stay there. The Owners, Bonnie and George are incredibly nice people and will do anything to make your stay comfortable. Breakfast and room were great. I will stay there again, when I take my next class.

Relaxing stay near York

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Bear House B&B. George was an exceptionally accommodating host who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evening with cheese and crackers and fresh blackberries, and the breakfast was huge and delicious. The York Peppermint Patties and Hershey kisses were also a nice, local touch. Would highly recommend.

Enjoyed our short 2-day stay at the Bear House B&B

4.0 on April 24, 2016

We enjoyed our short 2-day visit to the Bear House B&B earlier this month. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent, different each day and so filling that we didn’t need to eat lunch on those days. George and Bonnie are wonderful hosts. We look forward to visiting again in the fall and seeing the changing colors of the foliage on their beautiful grounds. Bill & Rosemary

Cozy getaway

This B&B was clean, warm, peaceful, and surrounded by nature while being close to the city. The breakfast was outstanding! George and Bonnie catered to my wife's vegetarian eating style. They were friendly and provided great suggestions on places to visit and sights to see. Great experience and we look forward to coming back someday. P.S. I would give this B&B 5 stars but the website only lets me give 4, oh well, it is a perfect getaway spot.

Secluded and tranquil - pretty close to perfect!

Bonnie and George share their home in the woods. Sitting by the fish pond amidst the many blooming flowers is so peaceful and renewing. Their rooms are very comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. The a food is delicious and plentiful. This is one place I would go out of my way to visit again.

Quiet and peaceful, nestled among the trees

Staying at Bear House B&B was a delightful experience. Nestled in the woods it reminded me of living in a fairytale. Accommodations were very comfortable and clean. After enjoying a delicious breakfast, my husband and I took a leisurely walk down the secluded lane, stopping to appreciate all the beautiful flowers and various sitting areas. Hated to have to say "Goodbye" to our hosts, Bonnie and George.

Wonderful Stay - couldn't be happier

George and Bonnie were wonderful hosts. Breakfast was huge and excellent - Bonnie is a great cook - did fantastic helping with our 'gluten free' needs. The grounds are beautiful - nice to just sit on the porch and listen to the birds. So restful.

Comfortable stay, extraordinary hosts

Two-nite stay last week. No element could be rated less than outstanding! Within about 15 minutes I felt like I was simply visiting old friends. I will be back. John
