Wake up to the clip-clop of horses and wagons. The house is located on our Mennonite Farm. We rent the land to an Amish neighbor who farms our place with horses. The view is unspoiled, beautiful farmland with sunsets that cause you to want to applaud and reverence Our Creator. We are in the center of Amish and Mennonite Families and yet we are minutes from all all the attractions such as Sight & Sound Theater, American Music Theater, Shady Maple Restaurant, Adamstown Antique Shops, Roots Farmers Market and Green Dragon Market, Gettysburg, New Holland Horse Sale.

There is a gazebo, lawn chairs and picnic table for sitting out and watching the beautiful sunsets and the Amish buggies going by. There are side country Amish roads that are wonderful for walking and biking right from our place. It is a home away from home. There is a large fridge and microwave in the Kitchen along with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, (no fridge or microwave or coffee nor TV in the rooms)The free Wi-Fi is in Dining Room area

Bird watching, Golfing, There are many quilt and fabric stores around us. Garage sales almost every weekend. Mud Sales are incredible in the Spring and Summer (.Mudsales)We can line up eating in Amish Homes on certain nights.Not on site, but nearby there are bike rentals,buggy rides,swimming,golf,tennis, hiking trails. The house has 5 rooms and is rented by the room for couples or families or groups can rent the whole place for retreats or reunions. 3 star with AAA, Shopping, Sight-seeing, Swimming

About the innkeepers

John has retired after 50 years from selling Vet and Farm Supplies in Pa, Va and NJ. He has pastored a Mennonite Church for 30 years. John & Nancy lead International Tours around the World together. They have 4 children and 3 grandchildren. Nancy has served as a pastor's wife, homemaker, decorator and is immersed in planting flowers and doing landscape work. John helps guests to find the off the trail places to visit here and he plays tennis to stay in shape. They both love to meet people

  • Serving Location: Included in the rate of $89 is a voucher for $12 per couple to do breakfast at your leisure at nearby ;Bird in Hand Family or Oregon Family Restaurant Both of these are Mennonite Restaurants. Everyone loves this option because you can go for breakfast when you want to! from 6am until 11am. Breakfast is not served on site, but the large kitchen is stocked with coffee, teas,hot chocolate, dishes, silverware,fridge,stove, so many people take the discount and make their breakfast here.
