We are loving it

5 on April 22, 2017

We just can't get enough of this place. We have been here 3 days now and it is just beautiful. The hot breakfast food is so delicious and dinners have all been amazing too, especially the Amish dinner in the Amish home they sent us to. We love the chickens in the yard, which by the way is pristine just gorgeous. The flower gardens and ponds make this place a perfect quiet getaway. Do yourself a favor and book the 3 night package you will not be disappointed with the place and the amazing food they serve.

Terrific value!

3.8 on August 19, 2016

My stay at Greystone Manor was short but great. It is a beautiful place and the innkeepers were friendly. All in all I thought it was really a great value for the price.

Gardens like Paradise!!

4.0 on August 18, 2016

Boyfriend & I traveled with his elderly mother for a family reunion, so we got 2 rooms (next door to each other). Landscaping was like paradise!!! Gazebo, arbor, garden bridge and waterfall, patios, outdoor pool and hot tub... as well as vines and lush shrubbery & colorful flowers everywhere!! Staff was friendly and attentive, even offered to help carry our luggage. I was huffing & puffing by the time we walked up to the 3rd floor (35 steps to be exact, several times throughout our 2-day stay...Did not know this when booked), but managed to tolerate it ok. The room was a bit small and traffic a little noisy and no wifi in rooms (only in a couple common areas)... but the clean, comfortable & beautiful Victorian feel of the room and whole house made up for it. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and good. Along with all that was provided, they made fresh pancakes & Canadian bacon for anyone that wanted it. Overall, a reasonable price, and we generally enjoyed our stay (spent a lot of time in the gardens)! Would definitely go back (as long as I requested 1st or 2nd floor in back end of house) and would recommend it to a friend!

fabulous stay in Lancaster County

5 on May 29, 2015

We had a fabulous time in Lancaster this past week at the greystone for our anniversary. We stayed in room 3 on the second floor of the mansion, very quiet, very clean, just a very well appointed cute Victorian room. The innkeeper angela is just a doll, so funny and full of energy and oh so helpful planning our dinner at the Olde Greenfield restaurant (which I also recommend). Definitely a must stay if you are going to lancaster. From the time we walked in we felt taken back to 1800's in the cute Victorian decor. Breakfast was also very impressive. Eggs from their very own chicken, canadian bacon, hash brown potatoes, fruit, muffins and warm corn bread. LOVED IT, LOVED IT. Just fabulous. Will recommend this place to everyone going to Lancaster.

Amazing B&B

5 on April 28, 2015

Stayed at Greystone Manor in October 2014 and we had the best time. The Inn was absolutely perfect and spotless. The owners were just so accommodating and the food was the BEST EVER. The B&B grounds were was so amazing and kepts up just so BEAUTIFULLY. We are definitely planning another trip back.

Wonderful Get Away

Great Value!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The innkeeper was very nice and the rooms were nice and clean. Bird in Hand is a quaint town and a great place to get away to.

Winter at the Greystone

3.8 on January 25, 2015

We have stayed at the Greystone quite a few times and always enjoyed our visit. Nice folks, and a clean but smallish room this time. They charge a little extra for a full breakfast as opposed to the free continental breakfast which is ok but I wish they would just charge you for the full brekfast rather than make it a bargaing point at check-in. The mattress in our room this time was old and they had put some sort of topper on it and it was not comfortable. It's time to spring for a new matress. As we do like the ambiance, location and the hosts we will be back again and hopefully there will be better sleeping arrangements

fun experience will return

5 on November 20, 2014

we had a great time at this inn last week. the hosts were very funny and helpful. spotless room, we had a queen room 3 in mansion, nice size room with the most comfortable pillows I have ever slept on. this was a great experience that we plan on repeating. our dinner at the amish house was a highlight for us as was the wine & cheese plate the hosts helped my surprise my husband with for our anniversary.

Great Amish Getaway

4.4 on October 07, 2014

Don't waste your time or your money

1.0 on September 11, 2014

My husband and I recently stayed two nights (August 15th and 16th) at Greystone. It was a disaster from the very beginning. We were talked into a different package ($99.00 per night compared to $199.00 that we paid - at least we think we paid that with our AARP discount - but we are not sure because we never received a itemized bill only a receipt for over $450.00) than what we called about with the expectation that we would have a special free hot breakfast included that even the $99.00 room received at no additional cost(it consisted only of two egg any style - not even any breakfast meat), a free horse and buggy ride (we were not told until check in that it was only available 3 very specific times (9:00 and 5:00 one on Friday and two on Saturday) during our stay and never told that is was not available on Sundays. When we arrived shorty before the three o'clock check-in time we had to wait approximately 10 minutes to get buzzed into the office because no one answered the bell. There were no additional amenities offered during the stay - they even charged extra for a bottle of water and/or a snack. There were dirty dishes sitting in the common sink area on Saturday for the entire day. The room was unbearable hot and none of the windows opened - a definite fire hazard!!! The room was dirty, the towels were dingy and the bedding was FILTHY!! The porch outside our window was broken with gaping holes in the floorboards so it was unusable and inaccessible. The worst thing was that the owner, Wade, was not visible after he checked us in. We never saw him the rest of the weekend so there was not even anyone to tell our concerns to during our stay. We left earlier than expected on Sunday morning and went to have a good breakfast elsewhere. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY ON THIS PROPERTY - IT WILL RUIN YOUR VACATION as it did for my husband and I.

Great Place to Stay

4.6 on September 03, 2014

This was a last miniute decision for us. We needed to get away for a few days and this was a GREAT place to stay. We stayed 2 nights and I being ole fashion and not owning a debit or credit card they were nice enough to book our room anyway. Thank you so much for a great few days. We will be back. I absolutely love your gardens and fountains.... very very peaceful!!

treasure in amish country

5 on August 26, 2014

This is our third time at greystone and we will never stay anywhere else. The gardens make this place an amazing treasure and the innkeepers always make us feel like family. Ever time we go we stay in a different room and just love them have not had one we did not like yet. Our favorite thing is the breakfast, OMG! The peach crepes were out of this world delicious they even made their own sausage. Planning our trip for next spring and the only problem we are having is what room will we pick this time.

Unfriendly and noisy

2.6 on August 24, 2014

A lot of noise in our room (2nd Floor); single glass. In front of the street. After 4 a.m. lots of traffic. Unconfertable to sleep. Welcome by owner was cool and unfriendly: it seems to us as a "not-welcome" WiFi not working at the room (2nd Floor)

Beautiful Gardens!

4.4 on July 28, 2014

You have to see the gardens to appreciate them! We had a great time in this wonderful place. We will be returning.

Night in Bird n Hand

4.0 on July 14, 2014

My daughter and I stayed one night at the Greystone on our way to New York. It was very homey and comfortable! We enjoyed the historic feel and the warm welcome. Thank you for special memories. Blessings! Teresa

We love Greystone B & B !

5 on March 24, 2014

Mom, my sister and I have visited Greystone Manor several times and always have a wonderful stay! The owners make you feel at home and very welcome. The room is always clean and comfortable. The gardens are just too beautiful to describe, you have to see them for yourself to truly appreciate the beauty! The breakfast is delicious, well prepared and served in a Victorian dining room. Mom will be 92 in May! We plan to make the trip up from Virginia again this summer. Mom looks so forward to this vacation with her two daughters!

Fun Get-Away

5 on March 02, 2014

My wife and I stayed here on Friday 28-Feb-2014. We had an excellent time. It was exactly what we had hoped for. It was a simple get-away weekend for two empty nesters. Would recommend this place for people that are looking for a good value in Lancaster. The room we had was not overly elegant. However, we were not paying for a room with a sitting room and a fire place. Nice location and excellent people met us and fed us.

Exceedingly welcoming hosts at this beautiful and convenient B&B

3.8 on February 28, 2014

Greystone Manor Bed and Breakfast is a beautiful old Victorian with many of the familiar touchstones one can expect from a home of its type - beautiful wood work, stained glass in the dining room, colorful and bright wallpaper throughout. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Greystone owner Angela Skiadas who was warm and welcoming, had great tips for things to see and do in the surrounding area, and covered every detail. Located in Bird-in-Hand, PA, Greystone Manor is conveniently close to Lancaster, Intercourse, and Strasburg - all are within a ten to fifteen minute drive at a leisurely pace. The breakfast hours were convenient and food was good. The house common areas is relatively small, offering only the living room, which is partially used for registration and an area where guests can purchase soft drinks, bottled water, and snacks at an extremely reasonable price. The bedroom (#6) was tiny but adequate. The bed was a little uncomfortable for my liking; but, those who prefer firmer beds would find it satisfactory. Despite the hardness (to me) of the mattress, I slept well. The B&B rises above Old Philadelphia Pike and my room had a window facing the road. This was not a problem for me, but light sleepers might consider earplugs if they are easily disturbed. I was pleasantly surprised to hear the soft footfall of horses and Amish carriages even well into the early morning. This was not disturbing, but rather nice. All-in-all, I enjoyed my stay at Greystone. I would most certainly stay there again.

Wonderful stay

4.4 on February 13, 2014

Comfortable room, immaculately clean, delicious breakfast and a great value. We have stayed here before, and will certainly visit again!

Quiet and Friendly

4.8 on January 03, 2014

My husband and I travel to this area 4 times a year. I have to say that this is the nicest B&B we have visited. The dining area was always open for a cup of tea or cocoa for the December stay. The room was clean and very comfortable. Fresh eggs and sausage along with fruit, juice, baked goods for one of our mornings. Pancakes and other custom made breakfasts were served other mornings. Plenty of fresh coffee. I had asked if they had flavored creamer, the next day she had bought some! We look forward to a future return. We told my parents about the stay, and they will be visiting in March.

Charming B&B - No smoking!!! yah!

4.4 on December 20, 2013

It was a really beautiful place, lovely decorations, very nice folks who run it - great breakfast, eggs from their own chickens! Right in the middle of where the Amish live. Lovely experience. I would recommend that if you were to sleep in the standard room, the bed is perfect for one person, but if you need a bed for 2 people, upgrade to a larger bed. The bed in #6 is standard, and for 2 people, when someone moves, you are going to feel every vibration and get a little motion sick. Nice and quiet! They have cable tv and wi-fi in the lobby! Can see stars at night here. I love that they are NO SMOKING!

Greystone Manor is my new home away from home

5 on December 13, 2013

We stayed at the Greystone Manor for 2 nights in the dog friendly room in the cottage house. It was absolutely wonderful. It was very clean no smells of dogs. The dogs are able to go right outside the room to do there business, garbage can is nearby after you clean up from the dogs. The property is well maintained and pretty even in the snow. The breakfast selection is great. The owners are down to earth friendly people that are talkative about the area.WE recommend it highly We booked our next stay already Can't wait to go back

Great place to relax, quiet friendly, just like home only better.

Great value

4.4 on October 18, 2013

We stayed in the carriage house for two nights during a one week Pennsylvania vacation. The inn is in an ideal location. We enjoyed our buggy ride and the beautiful gardens. I would stay here again.

outstanding and exceptional

5 on September 15, 2013

We had such a fantastic time at the greystone. The decor was lovely and the grounds magnificient. We especially loved the breakfast and our buggy ride. This was a perfect getaway.

Smoking

2.8 on August 29, 2013

We stayed there for a weekend. I am a smoker and they tell you at the beginning That you need to get off the property to smoke!? They could easily put an ash tray in a designated area for Their smoker guests. The bed was old, sinking on one end. But the harden was beautiful, well kept. It was ok all together

Quick getaway

4.0 on July 28, 2013

Spent one night here for a quick DC getaway. Lovely manor with beautiful gardens and pool. Great location with an easy walk to buggy rides, and antique shops. Staff were very friendly and helpful with planning. Breakfast was wonderful and personalized. We hope to return again in the future. Would recommend to friends.

pleasant stay in Bird in Hand, PA

5 on May 30, 2013

We loved our short but sweet stay at the Greystone. Angie & Pete made the most wonderful breakfast in the morning time with fresh fruits, waffles, sausage, scones, biscuits and so much more. We stayed in room 1 which was just perfect and so beautiful. The soaking tub made it for me you have to try this room, it has everything you could want and more from a smart TV with free netflix to a california king bed. We will be telling everyone about this small inn tucked away in Bird in hand, this place was paradise.

our one night stay

4.4 on April 30, 2013

it was a pleasant lay over on our trip

Affordable B&B!

4.8 on December 20, 2012

We reserved three rooms in the Carriage House for a weekend. They were ready as promised. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. More upscale rooms are available in the Victorian mansion. Breakfast was terrific! One morning the owner served French toast and ham. The next morning we enjoyed eggs (cooked any style) and hash browns. Each day there was a great breakfast buffet with fresh rolls, danish, donuts, bagels, fresh fruits, juices, tea and coffee. In this price range, Angela's B&B is a very good value. Angela, the owner, chatted with guests each morning and assisted with planning daily activities. Angela also provides a basket with menus from area restaurants. This was useful in planning dinners. There is a lovely Victorian parlor for guests. On our most recent visit, the Christmas tree had just been put up. Ornaments were lovely. Outside, the mansion was decked with lights to get guests in the holiday spirit. Angela's knowledge of area events is a real help. This is a family business, and it truly provides the personal touch. I spoke with other guests and they all agreed staying at Greystone Manor B&B was a great experience. Cyril Weller, Vestal NY Nov. 2012

out of this world

5 on November 28, 2012

this is 1 of the best places we have ever stayed the service was 5 stars all around we travel everywhere and will recommend it to everyone that we speak too. we stayed in suite number 2 which was on the second floor of the lovely Victorian mansion. 200 dollars per night but worth every penny we got a hot breakfast and buggy ride included. I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a nice people get away in Lancaster County.

OUTSTANDING

A two night stay here was a wonderful experience. Much detail goes into making sure the customer is pleased. Would stay again.

It's like coming home every day

5 on September 17, 2012

My wife and I come down here every year to go to Sight & Sound Theatre. This year mid August, was our first time here at Greystone Manor, and we could not have been more pleased. To have a pool to come to so you could cool off during a hot day was an asset, and it gives you an opportunity to meet other people as we did. We we are from Long Island, and met a nice couple from Canada. All the homemade food at breakfast was outstanding. and plentyful. Even though we had a room with a double bed in it, which we are not used to, it was wonderful, bright and cheerful and clean. The service was also well done, and you lacked nothing. We did a three night package, which was a great value. We are waiting for their calendar to open up for July 2013, and can not wait to come back. Their gorunds were so beautiful, that we are making our Christmas Card for this year to include some pictures we took there, as well as pictures we took of covered bridges. Our stay was just another Gift from God. Thank You Very Much Skiadas Family

Missed something here....the reason we like B&Bs

3.0 on May 26, 2012

Prepaid for one night stay. Was met by owner's mother who was busy watching grandchildren. Showed us our room. We told her we would be missing the time of the continental breakfast because of a business meeting. No offer to have it ready early. The next day, after the meeting we returned and tried to get service to get a question answered. No response to the bell. Finally telephoned and owner was just returning to the property, even tho sign said someone would be on site. We prefer B&Bs because of the interaction with the people. There was NONE here. Room was very nice but we can not recommend this place.

Great place to stay

5 on May 19, 2012

My wife and I spent two nights and couldn't be more pleased. The innkeepers were exceptionally pleasant and helpful, our room was beautiful, the extensive gardens were very impressive and the food was great and plentiful. We can't wait to go back.

Great value

5 on May 14, 2012

This was the best deal anyone could ask for. For $99 we got a room, hot breakfast that was eggs any way you wanted them, sausage, potato pancakes, and piping hot biscuits with honey butter. Then we got a buggy ride with this funny Amish guy named mel, a wine tasting, tons of coupons to use at outlets and shops in the cute towns and a cute little, very clean room. Angela was so helpful in helping us pick a restaurant gift card that was also included in our 99 rate, unbelievable, 99 total, omg we could get over it, if you are on a budget and need a getaway this is the place, clean and so cute.

Nice stay again!

4.2 on April 29, 2012

We stayed at the Greystone for the second time! It was still really nice and we enjoyed our stay. I must say that we booked through Bed and Breakfast.com this second time, so we didn't get to pick our room. We were in the carriage house, which was nice, but we did enjoy staying inside the main house much better! Besides this, the location is great, just a minute or two and you are at the Bird in Hand Market! The landscaping is beautiful! We would recommend staying here, but I would say not to book with bed and breakfast.com if you want a room in the main house! :)

Best experience..hope to see you again

5 on April 14, 2012

My husband and I plus our moms , who turned 80, stayed in this lovely B and B. We enjoyed three rooms in the Carriage House. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was delicious and well prepared. Angie, the owner, was so pleasant and gave us an idea of how to plan our days in Lancaster. She was friendly, kind, and really seems to love what she is doing. We would highly recommend this place to everyone..beautiful and peaceful. We can not wait to return.

back home

4.0 on April 01, 2012

Grew up in the area, and was excited to return for short visit. The Manor has been wonderfully renovated since my childhood years!! The room was very comfortable - the bed and even the arm chair!. Housekeeping was wonderful!. Can't say anything about the food as I was meeting old friends for breakfast each morning. But a wonderful oasis and a very restful stay. I'm sure it is even more beautiful when the flowers are in bloom. Great value for the money.

My husband and I took a weekend away in March and stayed at Greystone Manor Bed and Breakfast. Our stay was so relaxing and wonderful. We love Amish Country and in the future will stay here again. It's a quiet and very lovely place. We fell in love with it the first time we stayed and look forward to staying again. The price is doable and its very clean and comfortable.

Our stay was wonderful. We have stayed here before and plan on coming back in the very near future. We did not take advantage of the continental breakfast but did in the past and it was great.

Greystone Manor....a great place to stay

5 on March 15, 2012

My wife and I stayed here a few weeks back. I called the inn direct because I could hardly believe the online price of 99 dollars for one night and that included breakfast, a carriage ride and a voucher for dinner. Are you serious? 99 bucks. I had to call. When I called I asked where the catch was. I was told there was none. I made the reservation. When I got the I was very surprised to find there was no catch. None. This place is quiet, clean, friendly with great food. The room we very nice. Very clean. The breakfast is what I remember the most. It was awesome. Makes me want to come all the way back down there just for the french toast. As far as I am concerned there is only one place to stay in this area and that is the Greystone Manor....A place with class. Thank you for having us.

Enjoyable Weekend

5 on March 02, 2012

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend at the Greystone Manor. We are looking forward to returning in the Spring to see the beautiful gardens. Although we stayed in one of the smaller rooms, we found it to be cozy and a great value.

Greystone Manor

4.4 on November 22, 2011

We stayed in the carriage house. The room was very nice, newly renovated. The manor house was beautiful and we had a very good breakfast there. The proprietress was exceedingly helpful and talked to guests during the breakfast time answering questions about the house and local attractions. The grounds were nice and would be exceedingly nice during the spring and summer.

Worth a trip

4.6 on August 05, 2011

Just got back from Greystone, quite a nice find in Lancaster PA. Rooms could seem a little small, but VERY Clean and the gardens are simply amazing. Great breakfast, hot items and lots to chose from related to cold items. Rooms were spotless and the whole area and rooms is well taken care of by Angela and her family. She had quite a few DVD's to pick through and rooms are relaxing for the night. Right in the heart of Bird in hand. Nice find at a decent price. Duane

perfect, just what we needed

5 on June 29, 2011

We are from the Lancaster area and needed a night away, so glad we picked greystone. Room 1 was perfect, king bed, and the shower and tub for 2. Our breakfast was strawberry crepes, tiramisu , and bacon, fresh biscuits, juice, and coffee, they even delivered it to our room for us and we got to eat it in bed. The grounds and decor was just the icing on our perfect night away. We are going to try to do this every year. Thank you, angie and Pete we will be back.

A wonderful anniversary getaway!

5 on June 26, 2011

We spent 2 days at the Greystone Manor to celebrate our 5th anniversary. Everything from the decor of the room to the beautiful gardens to the food was fabulous! Angela was a wonderful hostess, helpful with dinner reservations and even arranged for a massage therapist to come to our room. The central location made getting around easy. Thank you for an awesome experience! Karen & Joe

The perfect relaxation getaway - will return

4.6 on April 25, 2011

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful stay at the Greystone. We had booked a 2 night all inclusive suite package. Let me tell you - all inclusive really is ALL inclusive. We didnt have to worry about planning anything. Each morning, Angela served up an incredible breakfast. One morning we had apple crepes, the next eggs to order - MmmmmmMmmmmm. She then helped us plan our dinners, based on our dining style & taste preferences, she even made reservations for us. The wine tasting that was included in the package was a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, with the rain, we didnt get an opportunity to enjoy the buggy ride, but went to a cheese farm instead and saw how cheese was made - sampled to our hearts content & had a great time. One of the highlights of our trip was a couples massage. I had mentioned to Angela that I wanted to surprise my husband with something special & she recommended her friend, Joy. This was the BEST massage I had ever received. My husband said the same. What's more - Joy came right to our room. She played Mozart while we relaxed under her able hands. The cost was very reasonable and I would highly recommend her to everyone looking to add a little something extra special to their stay. Thank you so much Angela. We will be back!

amazing

5 on April 23, 2011

Our room was so nice and the breakfast was amazing. Angela was very helpful and hold us places to visit and go. This was the best b and b we have ever been too, clean and so comfortable. We will definitely go back soon.

Stay at Greystone Manor

3.4 on April 22, 2011

The location and the B & B are excellent. The problem we had is that we were assigned to the smallest room which was barely large enoughto fit in a double bed. There was no room to move around. There was approximately 10" space on either side of the bed. The service at beakfast was very good. The innkeeper and her family were very codial and friendly. We will probably freturn providing we cabn get a better room. The last time we stayed ther the room was very nice.

Really Great B&B

4.4 on April 13, 2011

Two buildings are available-- the main house and the carriage house. I stayed with my parents in the carriage house, a two bedroom suite with a shared bathroom. The room was more than adequate, easily accessible, and exactly what I expected after viewing the online photo album. They even offered us a special rate since the room could accomodate 5 people and we were only 3. Because we visited in February, the pool wasn't yet open. When checking in, Angie was very helpful, giving us directions, suggestions, and even coupons for our weekend activities. Breakfast was very filling, with eggs made to order, sausage, bread, and a buffet with coffee, juice, and donuts. My only minor complaint would be that the building is a little difficult to see approaching from Route 30, but even so, neither my parents nor I passed it, even on our first arrival. Its location is perfect-- right between Lancaster and Intercourse-- with easy travel to all sorts of activities. I fully intend to return to stay in the main house and swim in the pool!

Great Value!

4.4 on April 09, 2011

The clip, clop of the horses as the Amish buggies passed by added to the wonderful atmosphere of the mansion. The breakfast was sumptous!

A lovely B&B! Very clean and well appointed. LOVED the guest area, complete with a full refridgerator, microwave, and snacks. I made full use of these extras as I like to bring my own supplies. Great place!

What a great experience

Angela, you made us feel like family. Your rooms in the Carriage House provided easy access for Sophie and Mary. Your grounds are beautiful. The Inn is centrally located. We enjoyed our conversation at breakfast. Eventhough we have visited the area for years, you were able to provide so much more information and insight of the area. We are looking forward to our next visit with you! Sue Lenox, Weirton,WV

We stayed here on New Years weekend in 2010. The owners are very, very helpful and we received everything that our package included. The rooms are very clean, and quiet. This is a perfect place for a get away. Both my girlfriend and I would recommend this B&B when visisting wonderful Lancaster Co. This weekend experience could have not been better..

A great place to stay.

4.8 on December 30, 2010

This was our first B&B so the only comparisons we have are friends. The greystone manor was like staying with family we are now spoiled forever. Angie makes your stay unforgettable, the breakfasts are a culinary delight and the manor could not be cleaner. All in all a terrific place to stay.

The "tired" B&B

1.4 on December 06, 2010

In keeper had us give her a check for the whole stay (2 nights) as soon as we arrived. Never had that happen before! That tells you something! One felt that it was all about money. Not a typical B&B where the inn keepers are warm and friendly. We have stayed at many inns and this was by far the worst and not worth near what we paid. Sorry for this review, but they need to spiff the place up---it's "tired".

November 2-4, 2010

4.6 on November 07, 2010

My husband and I have renewed faith in B & B's after our stay at Greystone. We were in room 1 and contrary to the review where the person said not to stay in that room because there is a noisy ice machine outside the door, they must have exceptionally sensitve hearing. In 3 nights we didn't hear it once. The property is beautiful and the food delicious. The owners Angie and Wade were very friendly and helpful. Will stay there again and recommed it to our friends. Hauge Sisters Get-away

4.8 on October 20, 2010

My sisters and I stayed here for four nights in September. We had an excellent time. This B & B went above and beyond the call of duty with regard to breakfast quality and hospitality. We really enjoyed all of the extra tourist ideas and arrangements that they arranged for us. We loved this area and this B & B. Carrol

My stay at the Greystone Manor

4.6 on September 19, 2010

This has been the second stay at the Greystone Manor for my friend and I. The welcome by the proprietor made us feel very much at home. She answered all the questions we had. The gardens around the property are beautiful and we have already told others of the hospitality.

First stay in a B & B

3.2 on September 09, 2010

As a first time guest at a B & B, I wasn't sure what to expect. I booked the reservations ( 2 rooms ) on line thru Expedia, then realized when we arrived that they would have been cheaper and had more included if I had called direct. The grounds/pool/hot tub were very nice, it's located close to area attractions. When we returned to the Inn after supper, we decide to sit at a table on the patio and play Phase Ten ( card game). There were 4 adults and we are not loud, noisy people. At 9:30 , someone came to the door and told us he was turning the porch light off because he was going to bed. We had no choice but to go to our rooms ( very small, no room to comfortably play cards but we did anyways). I go to bed early when I'm home and going to work but didn't expect to have to when on vacation. After this experience, I would not book another stay at a B & B.

Excellent place but don't stay in Room # 1

4.2 on August 30, 2010

My wife and I traveled from Leesburg, VA, last week to Greystone Manor. The place is beautiful. The grounds are well maintained and the food was very good. The location is great. We stayed in Room # 1. The room was very nice, well decorated and clean. However, there was a commercial ice machine right outside the door which made ice throughout both nights dumping the ice every hour to hour and a half. I asked Angela the first morning if she could turn it off but she said you could not turn it off like a home ice maker, short of unplugging it. Angela didn't have any other rooms available. We both loved Greystone Manor but Room # 1 was not worth the premium price we paid for it due entirely to the ice machine issue. We would definitely consider going back to Greystone Manor but would not stay in Room # 1.

Highly recommend

When you reserve a room months in advance of your trip at a place you have never seen or even talked with someone who has been there - you don't let your expectations get too high in case you are disappointed. We found Greystone Manor to be a shear delight ! Everything, from the glorious flowers and grounds, the lovely relaxing breakfast, to the gracious hosts made our stay one we will always treasure - and hope to repeat in the near future. Greystone Manor far exceeded all our expectations ! BRAVO ! And God Bless !

Best Deal in Lancaster County

4.4 on August 13, 2010

Booked ongoing package deal ($109 for Queen Bed), second floor in Carriage House August 9, 2010. Spent Monday touring antiques shops and had lunch at JD's--still full at dinner time. Checked in. Went to the winery nearby and sampled 7 or 8 wines. Very friendly staff. Got in the delightful pool, surrounded by bright colorful flowers. Grounds are beautiful--three fish ponds with waterfalls. Breakfast in the morning was pancakes (w/wo fruit) and sausage. Additional breakfast bar with fresh coffee, juices, cereals, numerous home baked goods, fresh fruit, and pasteries. More than anyone needs, and all that I sampled were good. Headed out for our "carriage ride"--actual Amish carriage with authentic driver "Mel" and his trusted partner Sully (?). Ride was about 20 minutes around nearby roads. Did a little shopping and more antique stores. Checked out about 10:00. Chose our "dinner coupon" for the "Good & Plenty" restuarant for Tuesday afternoon. Had the Harvest Platter that included meat, 2 vegs, bread & butter, and desert! Our room was neat and clean. (Could use new spread & decorative pillows.) Had private bath and TV. Owners were very nice, young couple (Angela & Wade). Can't wait to go back in December--already booked !!!

Wow is all I can say!

5 on August 07, 2010

We have been coming to Greystone Manor for years, and they NEVER fail to disappoint! The historic Mansion and Carriage House not only feature period piece furniture, but the rooms are VERY accommodating and quiet. PERFECT for the weary traveler or a romantic getaway. The gardens are immaculate and are well maintained and the pool is fantastic in the summer. The last time we were there in the summer we saw some Amish teenagers playing volleyball while we took a walk on the grounds. All this, plus the breakfast was top-notch! Eggs, french toast, sausage, juices, cereal, danishes, coffee, just to name a few items. the breakfast varies depending on the night you stay, but Wade and Angie make you truly feel like you are staying in their home. the hospitality is second to none. We stayed for a week while we toured Amish country. What is nice about the location is the fact that you get the perfect Amish experience, but you are also to take day trips to other areas. It is well within driving distance to Hershey, Gettysburg, Valley Forge, and Philadelphia. If you don't mind driving a little further, you can always go to Atlantic City, Ocean City, or Baltimore, or DC. To summarize, the Perfect spot to stay regardless of the season! Make this your destination! -Shawn and Heather Northwest Ohio

great place for a family

4.6 on August 07, 2010

We decided to try a b&b with our 2 year old son, while visting Lancaster. Greystone Manor exceeded our expectations and we had such a wonderful time we are staying there again in a couple months. I can't image staying anywhere else when visiting Lancaster. Between the beautiful location, great food and the price, we would be crazy to stay anywhere else!

50th Anniversary Celebration

5 on August 02, 2010

Our weekend stay at Grey Stone Manor was delightful. The grounds, landscaping, ponds and pool are so lovely to see. The flowers are gorgeous. Breakfast was a gourmet treat that we enjoyed immensely. We loved the horse and buggy ride and learned many details about the Amish. The B&B has a great location for all of the many attractions in the Lancaster area. Sight and Sound is wonderful. We will certainly go back to this B&B again.

Our 25th Wedding Anniversary

Wonderful Experience!

4.6 on June 14, 2010

On our recent stay at Greystone Manor my girlfriend and I were instantly impressed with the incredible craftsmanship of the landscape, and the way in which every every square foot of the yard is utilized. The service was more than we could ever expect, and the package deal can not possibly be beat. The Breakfast was delicious, a wonderful spread of pastries, fruit, coffee, cereal and hot prepared breakfast. Overall, a true value for the money. We would recommend the Greystone Manor to anyone!!

3-day stay

4.0 on June 06, 2010

This was our first experience at staying at a B&B so did not know what to expect. The building is very impressive. The grounds are beautiful this time of year. We enjoyed the buggy ride. Breakfast was great! The food was always hot and individually prepared. The crepes were very delicious. Angela was very friendly and was the entire family. The children are precious and very well-behaved. The atmosphere was very comfortable. We enjoyed getting to talk with different folks. Everyone was very friendly. One evening the area lost power so we sat outside by the pool area and had a great time. Internet service was frustrating at times. We were celebrating our anniversary and if I had known to call instead of booking online, I would have probably gotten a better choice of rooms. The room we were in did not have any place to put my computer except for the fireplace mantle. The chairs were very uncomfortable.

Excellent Place to Relax or Explore the Dutch Country

Pleasant Surprise addition to Sight and Sound Theater

5 on April 13, 2010

Authentically restored historic mansion stay was an unplanned pleasant addition to our Sight and Sound Theater experience. The staff was friendly and helpful in orienting us to the area and filling our spare time with enjoyable adventures. The room was spotless and breakfast was excellent. The $99 package deal including dinner certificate and Amish carriage tour was a bargain. We will definitely stay here again.

beautiful bed & breakfast

3.8 on April 11, 2010

i had a room for 3. i was sight-seeing with my bf and a friend and we stayed here for all 5 nights of our vacation. Greystone Manor was conveniently in the middle of everything we wanted to see; about an hour from Philadelphia, and hour and a half from Gettysburg, and 30 minutes from Hershey. Angela and her family are really nice, helpful, and friendly. breakfast was served each morning in the dining room while Angela would ask us our plans for the day and give us helpful information about the area. our room was very comfortable, had a nice view, and the Mansion is beautiful. we had a great time!

vacation

4.6 on April 10, 2010

my friends and I stayed at the manor for a total of 5 days. the manor is located in the middle of all the sites we wanted to see (Philly, Valley Forge, Gettsburg, Westchester, Hershey and many more). we were able to come and go as we pleased and the rooms were always cleaned. breakfast was excellent and the people friendly. even though it was still spring, the gardens were beautiful and well tended (i wish i had the gazebo with a fire pit). many thanks for a wonderful vacation!!!

Greystone Manor B & B relaxing and lovely

4.2 on April 09, 2010

Greystone Manor Inn is a lovely place to relax and go back in time . The decor is lovely, the owners are friendly, helpful and make you feel comfortable right away. The price in March was very good and their package deal is the best. We will return.

Lovely B&B

4.0 on April 09, 2010

First of all, we got a great deal on this website for a last minute trip to Lancaster County on Easter weekend. .. Our romm was comfortable, clean and decorated in a simple country decor. This B&B is on a corner property with a beautiful view of farmland. It has chairs and gazebos around the property along with man made creeks for guests to enjoy. I loved the sound of the water from my window along with the horse buggies at night! I have already recommended this property to fellow coworkers now that I am back in NY. I plan to visit the area again in early summer and staying here again.

A wonderful manor

4.4 on April 06, 2010

Easter weekend 2010 in room 2 of Greystone. Fantastic comfortable accommodations, king size bed, separate sitting room and plenty of room. The innkeepers were / are very knowledgeable of the area. We enjoyed plenty of off the beaten path adventures per their recommendations. The breakfasts were excellent, quickly served and very delicious. Our weekend saw temperatures outside from the low 40’s to near 80 and the manor was comfortable at all times. Our room has a balcony which we enjoyed local wines, cheeses and crackers from daily. The grounds are well kept although our visit brought us there prior to prime blooming the expectations are high and well expected to come true. We have stayed at many B&Bs of several levels. Our home town Reynolds Mansion, our wedding spot, is still the highest rated however the Greystone is one of the closest to such Luxury. We will return!!!!!

Amazing Value Amazing Views

4.0 on April 04, 2010

This was my first trip to a B&B and Lancaster County, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was not dissapointed. My 4yr. old daughter and I stayed in room 10 in the carriage house. Nicely decorated, and well maintained. There was a wardrobe where you could store your clothes. The bed was a full size and comfortable, there was also a cozy armchair and tv in the room. The bathroom was very clean, and offered a hair dryer and tiny shampoo and lotion, and soaps. I would suggest bringing your own toiletries. I didn't have to use the same towel twice as they replaced the one I used with a fresh set and also left extras in my room. The owners were very nice chatting with myself and my daughter during breakfast. The continental breakfast consisted of a variety of pastries and both store bought and fresh baked goods. Cereal, breads, fruits and jams were also available as were a selection of juice, teas and coffee. They also offered a yummy hot breakfast, my first morning there was eggs to order, sausage or bacon, and potatoes. The second morning there was fresh apple crepes and ham steak. The beautiful gardens were just starting to awake, with some spring flowers already in bloom and the little ponds with fish and stream bubbling were enchanting. They offer seating throughout the gardens and also a gazebo with a firepit. My daughter also got use out of the swingset out back. There location was perfect for us, In walking distance to nearby shops, bakery and farmers market and very short drives to numerous attractions and a variety of shopping. Our stay at Greystone Manor was a wonderful introduction to a B&B experience and Lancaster County and the exceptional value far exceeded my expectations. I have already recommended it to my family and friends. My next stay can't come soon enough! `Heather and Lily

Nice b and b

4.0 on March 13, 2010

The innkeepers were very nice the property was well mantained the rate was great compared to other local b and bs in the area the room was nicely decorted and upkept my only comment otherwise is the room had more of a hotel feel then a b and b

3-day package

2.2 on March 12, 2010

Minimal amenities: no hair dryer, no Kleenex tissues, cheap soap and dried out lotion, cheap toilet paper, etc. Our room was in the front of the mansion, making sleeping a real challenge due to traffic noise. Breakfasts were nothing special...very pedestrian. Innkeepers were pleasant, but certainly did not go the extra mile to ensure a topnotch experience.

Very nice stay!!!!

4.8 on March 01, 2010

My husband and I had a nice stay at your mansion. We had been to a B&B before and had certain expectations. Well, we were very pleased. Angela and her family were very friendly and informative. The breakfasts were good and made to order. They chatted away with their guests and made us feel like we were part of the family. We usually use our RV to travel, but enjoy going away in the winter for a night or two. This would be a nice place to go to again in the future.

Quaint, friendly - would return again

AWFUL

1.0 on January 03, 2010

Will not recommend this place to anyone!! 01/03/10 As we travel to the Bird in hand area several times a year I had often said as drove by.. I would like to stay there sometime.. So for my Christmas gift and our New Years together my husband booked a 3 night stay..He told me he said give us the bset room you have... When we checked in they immediately took our credit card and billed us for the room... Our first mistake.. Do not pay for a room until you see it.. She walked us to the bottom of the steps and said up there on the 3rd floor room #7... we walked in and said what the h...??.. The room was tiny with a twin bed,the tv even smaller and the other room had barely enough room for a double bed.. The carpet was dirty the bedspread and sheets were dingy and very well used.. Our second mistake.. We should have turned around and demanded our money back although I'm sure we would not have gotten it.. "Not their policy".. Well its New Years lets make the best of it.. We did drive 4 hrs to get here... Snack and drinks are available downstairs but you have to pay for them.. I thought that was totally insulting for a B&B.. The bed was so uncomfortable and the room was freezing.. We dug in a closet and found 2 blankets that I would have put out in my dog coop long ago.. No way to adjust the heat so we sat New Years wrapped in old blankets sitting sideways on a twin bed watching tv.. I did not sleep at all so when we got up in the morn we told them I was sick ( I was sick of that place) and asked for a refund... Nope.. Got a gift card for the balance minus there cancellation fee.. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.. ANd certainly would not give it to anyone else to stay there..Greystone Manor has a 14 day cancellation period That is absurd.. There are so many nice places to stay at I cannot figure out how this place keeps going..

Great Victorian experience- Breakfast uninspiring

3.4 on December 31, 2009

We really enjoyed the over the top Victorian decorations and room #3. It's like staying in a wonderful museum. Had some confusion using Bed & Breakfast.com website since we could not choose a larger room at higher price, assigned room #6 was tiny & cramped- too small for 2 people & luggage. Hostess is an unusual personality for this type of work, very assertive and outspoken. Breakfast was uninspiring similar to budget hotels- store bought packaged pastries & cereal, coffee, juice. Not what I expected from a B&B. With the right expectations, this can be a very nice place to stay.

delightful bed and breakfast in Amish Country

4.0 on December 06, 2009

My husband and I, along with my mother in law visited the Greystone Manor Thanksgiving weekend. We actually found the inn a few weekends before, when we drove by at dust and noticed how pretty it was with all of the outdoor decorative lights. We wanted to go back to Amish country for an overnight and were lucky enough to get a room at Greystone Manor. It was more like a suite, with a room for my husband and I with another room, for my mother in law, separated by a hall way with a very clean and well stocked bathroom. The room was perfect for us. Angela, her dad and Wade were all more than welcoming and accomodating, patiently answering all of our questions about the community. Angela gave me some great suggestions for places to look at Amish goods. The breakfast was full, hearty and delicious. More than enough to satisfy anyone. I definately plan on returning in the spring with my girlfriends for a "girls weekend".

Retreat at Greystone Manner

3.6 on November 28, 2009

My weekend at Greystone was lovely. I experienced just the right amount of friendliness, hospitality, and privacy. My room was peaceful, pretty, and contained everything that I needed to enjoy my stay. The grounds were nice, including the goldfish ponds, convenient parking, and pastoral views. I also enjoyed the manner house itself. It was decorated elegantly and was inviting. Breakfast was served in a very warm setting with delicious food. Greystone also provided free, fresh apples, and coupons for a free carriage ride and a free wine tasting. The Inn is located in the perfect location for an easy drive to many shops and sights, and is also within walking distance of many attractions as well. Simple and tasteful sums it up!

A Happy Surprise

5 on November 02, 2009

October 30, 2009: Driving into Bird in Hand on Hwy 340 my husband and I passed the Greystone, but kept going thinking it was beyond our means. However, when the motel down the street was over $100 for one night, we consulted the Garmin GPS and Greystone's phone # came up. Wade answered the phone, he was courteous and offered us a room in the carriage house for the night at a price well under the hotel. We showed up, were welcomed warmly, checked in with no problems, and got a tour of the main house. Then we found our room in the carriage house overlooking the Manor's gardens, the neighbor's freshly harvested fields, and the farmhouse and barns. We watched the Amish buggies come and go as twilight settled in. The room was very clean and comfortably furnished. The bath was roomy and spotless. No closet, but the big hooks on the wall (Amish-style) supported our garment bags. Angela was a gracious hostess in the dining room in the morning. Breakfast was very good, with eggs and meat prepared to order, biscuits and pastries, fruits, juices, cereal, coffee and a nice selection of teas. On the way out, I grabbed an apple from the box by the front door. From start to finish it was a very pleasant stay. I could see us coming back here in the late summer with our kids and grandkids--with the pool and plenty of room to play and run, the atmosphere would be very welcoming for a multi-generational stay in the area.

Lancaster Get-a-way

5 on November 01, 2009

What a wonderful place to stay on a visit to Lancaster! The accommodations were wonderful, in this beautiful Victorian Manor and carriage house filled with charm. Our hosts were so friendly and made sure we had all that we needed. The breakfasts were so fresh and delicious, with goods and products from local farms. We began each day with good food, conversation and information about the surrounding area. We will definitely return for a visit in the spring.

Wonderful stay!

5 on September 23, 2009

The Greystone Manor was a beautiful location with lovely gardens. The room was quaint, the service spot-on, and the breakfast was delicious! We did one of the packages, so we received wine tasting, a brewery tour, and an Amish carriage ride for a major discount. We will definitely stay there again!

Lovely Mansion

5 on September 17, 2009

This B&B is as close to perfect as you can get. The hosts are extremely amicable, the setting beautiful and I can't say enough about the grounds. Flowers everywhere, some very unusual coupled with koi ponds, and intimate walkways. The breakfasts were top notch with individual service. Definitely would stay here again!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lovely B&B in the amish countryside

4.4 on September 14, 2009

the grounds of this B&B are beautiful! The breakfast is delicious and the owner is very friendly. We were in a room that faced the street, so the traffic was a bit loud and our bed was not the most comfortable, but we did like hte DVD library and the fact that we could watch the DVD in our room. We also enjoyed the lovely weather and sat by the pool in the evening.

"Somewhere in Time"

5 on September 08, 2009

On Aug.14-16,2009, my husband and I vacationed at the Greystone Manor B & B in Bird-in-Hand, PA. We are frequent guests at many B & B's, so we feel we are able to comment objectively. Our stay at Greystone Manor was a "Somewhere in Time" experience. The premises and interior of the manor and the carriage house were meticulously decorated and well maintained. The collage of flowers, gardens and flowing fountains were breathtaking. The crystal clear pool and jacuzzi were surrounded by a multitude of colorful bushes, plants, and trees with strolling walking paths that transcended one into a peaceful and tranquil place. Breakfast was bountiful, cooked to order, and pleasantly served by our host and hostess. Weather permitting, you could enjoy your breakfast sitting outside on the picturesque garden patio, with an occasional friendly greeting from "Max" the cat. The host and hostess provide a supply of pamphlets and menus from the local points of interest and restaurants. A refrigerator, ice machine, and other comforts are readily available. When my husband and I checked out, we felt we had left behind a small oasis of paradise. We highly recommend the Greystone Manor B & B for those who savor a peaceful romantic getaway. Sincerely, Carol Hirtzel and Frank Santangelo, Long Island, NY.

My husband and I spent our second 3-day get-away here recently. We were charmed by the lush gardens (the pictures don't do justice to the actual beauty)and warmed by the hospitality. The dining gift cards are definitely a plus, the restaurants were ones we would return to as well. Thanks - again! We'll be back.

Awesome place to stay!!!

5 on August 31, 2009

We took 19 people to stay here, it was the only place availible that could house us all. It was so very beautiful and the owners were really nice. The food was just fabulous. I can't say enough good things about this place. Each and everyone of us said how much we enjoyed our stay, and plan to stay again in the future. This is a must see and stay to really have a great time!!!

Not enough adjectives to discribe

My husband and I just spent a wonderful long weekend in Bird In Hand, PA. When you can't find any fault with your accommodations away from home, that is a place you want to return to time and time again. Greystone Manor B&B is just such a place. Beautiful, peaceful setting but convenient to all things "Lancaster"; you can’t beat the location. Innkeepers are friendly, informative and set out a delicious breakfast spread plus hot entre! They have created and maintain a safe, restful, home like atmosphere. Prices are competitive and fair depending on the room you select. From 2 very happy customers we give it A+++.

We are returning in Sept. and made sure we booked a queen size bed (none were available for this trip). The gift certificates for lunch or dinner were definitely a bonus.

5 on August 08, 2009

My friends and I spent an overnighter at the Greystone Manor. We could not have had a more lovely time!! Wonderful owners, very clean and comfortable room, delicious breakfast and a relaxing pool and jacuzzi. Since we came back, we are recommending the Greystone Manor to everyone I talk you. I will definately be going back very soon! Carol Martorana

Great time at the Greystone

4.2 on August 07, 2009

My sister and I stayed at the Greystone for two nights. The innkeepers were busy but very nice. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. What I loved most was the gardens. I loved sitting outside for breakfast listening to the beautiful music playing and looking over the colorful, immaculate gardens. My only regret is I left my pillows there.

Relaxing Mid-week Getaway

4.0 on August 04, 2009

The room at the Inn was nicely renovated with a king size bed and a very large bath with a shower and a claw style tub. The food was great and the innkeepers have a beautiful garden too.

heavenly getaway

4.8 on August 04, 2009

The gardens surrounding the beautiful victorian mansion are absolutely breathtaking. This was my first time I stayed in a B&B as I never was too sure about the privacy and friendliness in one. My grandaughter and I absolutely loved the experience, enjoyed visiting with the others at breakfast and at the pool. The owners were very informative of events, places and directions, this all made the getaway more enjoyable. Victoria and I are looking forward to another visit to Greystone and the Lancaster area.

Wonderful Breakfast!

5 on August 01, 2009

The gardens are the first thing that impressed us so beautiful and well maintained. The pool and hot tub were spotless and very refreshing, unfortunately we got to use little due to rain storms, but the innkeepers can not control the weather. Breakfast was delicious and so bountiful-lots of fresh local goodies from fruit to cinnamon buns. The innkeepers went above and beyond the call of duty helping us by using there laptop and cell phone. We would highly recommend this B&B!

Little bit of heaven in Bird In Hand

4.8 on July 19, 2009

We learned of the B & B on the Sight and Sound Theater website after signing up for "In The Beginning." Our first words as we pulled into the driveway were, "Wow!" Magnificant building and beautiful grounds. The wife and I sat outside around the garden areas for most of the time amazed at the landscaping and variety of plants and flowers. A delicious supper part of the package and a scrumptous breakfast in the dining room. I inspect B & Bs in the south for an insurance company and found Greystone to be one of the most well kept and cared for of any I've visited...beautiful inside and outside with a great value for the price paid...one to which I would return without a doubt. In future planning we will definitely plan another stay.

Awesome

First timer now an everytimer

4.6 on July 10, 2009

We had never stayed at a B&B.All the stories about privacy ,food, and accomodations that I have heard over the years are gone now that I have experienced what one is all about,at least here anyway.I had stayed in the area many times before ,but was ready for a change. The grounds were beautiful and picturesque, the room was clean and had everything that I needed. If it was not available it was only a request away.Angela made us feel right at home here. Her breakfasts were more than I expected with variety as well.A homey feeling where I never felt that I was just a room mumber.Greystones' close proximity to everything in the Lancaster ,Bird in Hand and Intercourse area was also a factor.A very relaxed stay to say the least where breakfast conversations were about the area, tips on destinations and info about things in general that were helpful in our days planning. The value was the biggest surprise of all.I had spent much more in hotels and inns and cannot remember anything about them. Here now I have had a stay that I can say was one of my new favorite places. Three college girlfriends meet once-a-year at a B & B

4.6 on July 10, 2009

The grounds are magnificient with waterfalls, ponds, and flowers. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious with some homemade delights! The staff was helpful and animated in discussions about the area and their B & B. They were running a special that included a wine tasting and dinner coupons, as well as an Amish buggy ride. We thought the value was super!! We had a marvelous time. The room we had was in the carriage house and was nice but needed a full length mirror somewhere and there were curtains on order for our room, so there weren't any but the blinds were fine. The bed treatments, wallpaper and rugs were not well color coordinated in our room but everything was clean and presentable. We were able to see a couple of the rooms in the main house and they are outstanding! This is a very nice B & B!

We stayed at Greystone Manor in August 2008. It was a wonderful experience. The breakfasts were fresh and delicious. The property was beautifully maintained both outdoors and inside. Weekend Away

5 on June 25, 2009

My husband and I had a weekend away (we have 5 kids) and found Greystone Manor to be the perfect place. The service was excellent. They made us feel right at home! The pool and hot tub were so inviting. We enjoyed the room, loved the flatscreen TV and the porch off our room. The landscaping was just beautiful - we loved watching the fish pond and waterfalls. Wonderful suggestions for dinner and just a relaxing and rejuvenating time!

Our First B & B Experience

4.0 on June 20, 2009

When calling to make reservations, I asked, "Will we have our privacy?" Angela said, "Yes, and you can enjoy our gardens." I thought it would be a simple colonial style house with a pretty yard. As we approached the drive and saw the entrance, both my husband and I took in a pleasured breath and exclaimed, "Oooo!" And it wasn't just a beautiful place. We stepped in and were hospitably shown around the lovely living area, snack area and dining room. The room and private bath we were given was tastefully done, and we DID have privacy. Angela served us a yummy breakfast, and it was delightful getting to know some of the other guests. (I had been concerned about privacy, but after introducing myself to a few of the people, I was rewarded with warmth and new relationships.) When it stopped raining, I got my book, went to the gazebo and totally relaxed in that paradise.

Wonderful, like staying with family!

My husband and I stayed both in the main inn and in the carriage house. We booked the 2 night package with the dinners/breakfast included and the Amish buggy ride (nice ride & a little insight into the Amish) and then we returned for a single night stay. Both rooms were very different, but both very nice! The whole inn was immaculate, the setting/grounds were lovely and innkeeper Angela and her Dad were very personable, eager to please and helpful with our navigating around the area. My husband & I look forward to spending time there, again! The Greystone Manor experience (and their home made crumb cake) were a "piece of heaven" for an affordable price!

A Quiet Early Spring Retreat

4.6 on May 28, 2009

This was my first visit to a B&B and I thoroughly enjoyed my all too brief stay. The Innkeepers were hospitable and helpful. They gave me a great recommendation for a place to have dinner. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The grounds were beautiful and abutted an Amish farm. I would love to see it later in the spring. The food was plentiful and adequate but a little disappointing as nothing was homemade. I would definitely recommend this B&B to my friends and would consider staying there again myself.

Quaint, but not quiet...

5 on April 25, 2009

Enjoyed the stay and would definitely stay again, but noise was an issue for us. Was surprised that no reviews ever mentioned the traffic noise from the road in front of the house. Kept us awake... Entry door downstairs also slams very loudly - since people don't think about how loud it is and hold it so it doesn't slam, suggest seeing if there is a way to have door close as quietly as possible. Also, the breakfast music is louder in the room at the top of the stairs than it is in the dining room. Between the road noise, door slamming and loud music at 7AM, didn't get as much sleep as needed. Again, would stay again. Very clean and enjoyed hospitality of Angela and Wade.

Wonderful B&B - Can't wait to return!!

4.8 on April 08, 2009

My husband and I recently stayed at this wonderful Bed & Breakfast. We took advantage of the 2-night package deal that included a very relaxing Amish buggy ride and dinner certificates for each night of our stay. We were greeted by a very knowledgeable Innkeeper, Angela and were given a tour around the manor on our way to our very nice sized Victorian room. Each morning we were greeted at breakfast by the Innkeepers and treated to an amazing breakfast that was cooked to order for each guest. Guests were all sitting around talking about their day’s plans and getting recommendations from Angela on where they should visit. I especially enjoyed my conversations with her about her children and their life at the Manor. Angela recommended the places that we chose to use our dinner certificates at (Dienners & Molly’s Pub) and we were NOT disappointed. The food was very good and the food on the buffet at Dienners was as homemade as it gets. This B&B is located right in the heart of Bird-n-Hand and is within walking distance of the Farmer’s Market and wonderful bakery’s as well as many little craft and quilt shops. We will be returning this summer and bringing our 11 year old along this time!!! I can’t wait to see the beautiful flowers that so many have spoken about and hang out by the pool. Thanks Angela and Wade for a WONDERFUL STAY!!!! The Severe's

Winter Weekend Getaway

5 on January 25, 2009

We visit the area several times a year and have stayed in various hotels, B&B's and local resorts over the years. Far and away our experience at the Greystone Manor was the most pleasant, hospitable and welcoming to date. We visited during the MLK long weekend as a part Winter get away and Anniversary celebration. Our room was in the main part of the inn and was both spacious as well as tastefully decorated for the period of the home (Victorian). Most all amenities were provided in a clean, quiet and intimate atmosphere. The Breakfast spread was generous, delicious and prepared to taste. The Innkeepers were attentive to any special dietary needs of guests. We enjoyed sharing local knowledge and experiences with the hosts and the Innkeepers were most gracious in accomodating requests for information and making inquiries / calls on behalf of guest interests and needs. Our only regret was that our visit was during the Winter when the gardens, pool and water features weren't in season. We will return over the Spring / Summer or Fall, however, to take advantage of these features. We found our overall experience well above expectations and felt we received great value for the rates charged.

Our stay in your bed and breakfast

5 on January 05, 2009

We were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful this place is. We have only stayed at a bed and breakfast one other time and we were unsure of whether to do this again or not. But when we opened the door of the mansion and saw the beauty of this place and talked to the owner, we were sure we made the right choice. Definitely we will be going back. The family that owns this mansion is a young family that really cares about the people that stay there. The food is great and they accomodated us in every way. They gave us vouchers for things to do and also a voucher for a dinner in town. Greystone Manor will never be a disappointment to anyone. Joyce and Ivan Wilson

fantastic

5 on October 27, 2008

4 of us visited Greystone Manor with an 18 month old. It was all that we expected and more. The rooms were clean, large, very modern bathrooms, wonderfully furnished and decorated. The Manor itself is beautiful, wonderful sitting room, very nice dining room with comfortable furniture. The ice machine, microwave and little fridge for the guests to use is a convenient touch. The grounds are very well landscaped with picnic tables to sit at to enjoy the view. The children's playstation with swings and slides were wonderful for us as the little one spent some time outside playing instead of just shopping with the adults. We would definitely stay at Greystone Manor again but next time in the summer to take advantage of the pool. The hosts are friendly, attentive, and always there to assist if needed. Their children are beautiful. I would recommend Greystone Manor to anyone visiting Lancaster County.

The Best!

5 on October 11, 2008

This was absolutley the cleanest place we ever stayed in. We were only there for one night and stayed in a room in the carriage house. It was comfortable, quiet, affordable, and exceeded our expectations. The hosts were very gracious and accomodating and the breakfast was excellent. I even purchased a gift card for my son's birthday. Thanks for a wonderful time, next time around we're going to stay in the main house!

Xcellent Escape

5 on October 07, 2008

Envision a place of sernity where you can meditate with flowing fountains and brilliantly schemed gardens as your backdrop. A place that takes you back in time with its spectacular Victorian eloquence. Imagine a very nice couple waiting to serve you a tasty & warm breakfast each morning, all the while taking care of three lovely very small children. Amazing. We loved our stay at Greystone and will definitely return and urge others to visit, as well. Thank so much Angela and Wade;our best to you. The Walkers

We recently stayed at this most peaceful B&B. The gardens are just beautiful. Wade, the owner, has done an outstanding job of designing the gardens with ponds, waterfalls and beautiful flowers everywhere you look. The breakfast Angie prepared for us each day was most enjoyable. I would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast while visiting Lancaster County.

we would return in a heartbeat

4.8 on August 13, 2008

We were looking to spend 3 nights in Lancaster the first week in August. In checking several travel sites on the internet for places to stay in Lancaster, two sites had availability of 1 night only at Greystone Manor. T he other option was a nice place we stayed at before for about double the price. We called Greystone Manor directly, and they had availability for the 3 nights we were looking for, so we booked the dates. This is the first time we ever stayed at a bed and breakfast, and liked that each room had a private bath. As you would gather from the website, Greystone Manor consists of two buildings. We stayed in a standard hotel room in the main building, on the third floor. After touring the countryside, on a hot August day (temp 94), we came back to very well landscaped place with flowers, sounds of water in the fountains and manmade pond area and a cool room. We ordered a bottle of wine, and drank it as we enjoyed the relaxing outdoor atmosphere. Each morning there was a continental breakfast and a hot breakfast made for each person. During breakfast, people were friendly and telling each other about what they did the day before or their plans for the day. That’s when we found out about the Green Dragon Flea market and the annual craft fair. The service was efficient, friendly and helpful. Lancaster has many great places to eat, and we were going to one with a coupon from the tourist information center. We were told about a Dienners, a great buffet for a very reasonable price. This was our first experience at a bed and breakfast. Wade and Angie were very friendly and efficient, and always available when we rang for assistance. This was a great value and we would return to Greystone Manor in a heartbeat.

excellent and wonderful

5 on August 05, 2008

we stay at a lot of B&B's and this by far was one of the best, the best rate only $99.00 for what we got too. Breakfast was just wonderful and very tasty, and the room was extremely clean and very cute too. Our favorite thing though was the pool and these magnificent gardens, just splendid and so well appointed. It was a paradise. Overall we spent less then 220.00 for the weekend and had all our meals included and a wonderful tour too. We will definitly tell our friends and family, this place was a steal and the most relaxation we have had in a while.

Lovely Lancaster Weekend

3.6 on July 18, 2008

This was our first visit to a B & B. We have always stayed in chain hotels. It was really nice. I loved the grounds (flowers, water, etc.) The pool is really nice except for a few bugs floating on top which I'm sure is normal. We pretty much had the pool to ourselves. My husband has never wanted to stay at a B & B because he would feel funny inside someone's home. We didn't feel that at all. he loved this place and we will definitely stay there again. Angela was very very helpful. The room was small, but it was very nice and who stays in the room anyway? The bathroom was very roomy and clean. Watch out for the bath mats, I have a very large bruise on my leg because it slipped as I was getting in the tub. The breakfast was excellent, the best watermelon I ever ate. The blueberry pancakes were excellent! I enjoyed petting Max the cat, he is very friendly. I would definitely recommend this B & B. The price of the smaller room was much less than a hotel and we got a wonderful breakfast. We had a good time!

Peaceful paradise

4.4 on July 17, 2008

I took my adult daughter to Greystone for a get-away weekend. We both needed a little study time and a lot of rest time. We felt that we stepped into a quiet little paradise. The breakfast that was served to us was a particular treat each morning. There is something to choose for every palate. Lovely peaceful music drew us to the breakfast table each day. The hot tub was particularly inviting in the late afternoon. After eating abundantly at an area restaurant for lunch, we found it enjoyable to pick up a light snack for dinner and bring it back to Greystone to enjoy at one of the many tables in the lovely garden, followed by a visit to the big tree with two comfy chairs to sit in while watching the sun go down and the moon appear over the corn field of the neighboring Amish farm. A delightful end to the day can be enjoyed at the gazebo roasting marshmallows on the barbecue pit. The room in the carriage house was small, but very comfortable and attractive. It was too lovely outside to spend very much time except to sleep and enjoy a little television time. The room was very sufficient to enjoy that. We will definitely return to Greystone. I want to take my husband in the Fall for a romantic get-away!

AWESOME EXPERIENCE!

5 on July 14, 2008

Beautiful

5 on July 09, 2008

We stayed here in July in the heart of beautiful Lancaster county. The Inn is in a very good location, central to alot of shops and places to eat. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The pool and hot tub very nice and clean. The innkeepers were very friendly and very helpful in suggesting a place to eat and helping us find out of the way quilt shops. The rooms were clean and comfortable and you can hear the clip clop of horse and buggy as they travel past the Inn. The breakfast was very tasty and enjoyable. All in all it was an enjoyable experience and I would love to go back again. I would highly recommend this Inn for your stay in lancaster country.

My friend and I had a "girls night away" and found the inn to be charming and the gardens exceptionally beautiful. Angela was very helpful in helping us map out our backroad trip, and made many helpful suggestions as what roads to take, and where to eat! Hopefully next time we can stay longer and enjoy the pool/jacuzzi. Just not enough hours in the day to do everything we wanted to do.

We've been wanting to stay in Greystone Manor and finally we've got this great deal for a standard room through bedandbreakfast.com. We absolutely loved it. The Inn is so clean and homey... I felt as if it was my own home. The next time we're probably would upgrade to a bigger room cause we're definite that it's going to be worth it.

Great place for the value

4.4 on June 19, 2008

I was a little skeptical about staying at Greystone Manor after reading some of the reviews, but my boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay. The property was beautiful and easy to find, and service was prompt. We booked through BedandBreakfast.com for an extremely low rate of ~$75 for one night and didn't purchase the $99 package that Greystone offers. Regardless, Angela and Wade still gave us coupons for everything except the dinner at Brasserie (a nearby restaurant). We got a room in the main mansion that was much larger than we anticipated for the price (Rm #7). While the rooms themselves were small, they were perfectly sufficient for us, and we found everything to be clean and well-kept. The breakfast was partly buffet style, with Wade bringing us a plate of freshly cooked pancakes and sausages from the kitchen as well. We went for a swim in their beautiful pool before checking out. We found Angela to be friendly, but at the same time, she had a brisk businesswoman presence. She conducted the check-in and introduction quickly and efficienty. From this standpoint, most of the negative reviews are understandable, as they seem to be from older patrons who probably appreciate a slower pace and a 20-minute leisurely chat about the area and the mansion. However, being a couple of 20-something-year olds, we found her style to be perfect - gave us the information we needed in a quick yet friendly way, answered the questions we had, and let us go on our way without any fuss. Also considering that we paid such a great rate for our stay, everything about our stay greatly exceeded our expectations. If we had paid a couple hundred dollars to stay per night, then yes - I would've expected a little more personal attention, a fully served breakfast, etc. But all in all, it was a much more enjoyable and relaxing stay at the Greystone Manor than it would have been at a comparably priced motel, and we had very little to complain about.

Loved it!

5 on June 16, 2008

Greystone Manor Bed & Breakfast - Bird-in-Hand, PA: "First Class" from the moment we arrived to the good-byes at the door. It was a great get-a-way. The owners, Angela and Wade and their children are most gracious hosts. The mansion is beautifully decorated Victorian style and each of the three floors showed love and class throughout. Each morning we were served a different delicious entre, along with other great breakfast selections. Our conversations with Angela, Wade and Grandpa gave us ideas for the days outings and directions/maps to get there. It was also great to get to know the other guests, people from locations across the country. The pool, trickling water-fall, gazebo and beautifully decorated gardens were my favorite spots. I took many pictures in hopes that I can create something like it at our home. We look forward to returning soon for another sojurn in the PA countryside. Judy, Ontario, Canada.

Our daughters treated us to a 2 night stay at Greystone Manor for my wife's birthday. It was a very pleasant stay. The gardens are beautiful . We bought plants we liked in the gardens at nearby stands. The breakfast provided was nice - french toast and scrapple. We stayed in the smallest room. Next time we will reserve earlier to get a larger room. The pool was open, but we didn't go in. It was a very relaxing time.

The walk up to the manor gave us the impression of a secluded retreat. It was hidden up on top of a small hill and the gardens were just lovely, really lovely. When we arrived the family that runs it were outside in the gardens with their small children tending to the flowers. We right away received a warm welcome and speedy check in. Angela was very helpful and told us were to go and were to eat. We had a lovely room in the carriage +hat wasright next to the gazebo and firepit which was lovely and great for us we loved the sound of the water outside our window at night. In the morning we had breakfast around 8 AM and had cinnamon raisin french toast with sausage and a homemade apple topping. There was other things out to each but that was plenty for us. We loved the inn's location too it was so we could walk to get our free buggy ride which was the highlight of our trip. We will definitly come back to this inn .

lovely time

5 on May 20, 2008

We had a lovely time is Lancaster Pa and stayed at this lovely inn. The gardens were very impressive, the gazebo with the firpit in the middle was a delight to sit in while we watched the flowing waters of the ponds through the gardens. The inn was very well maintained and the innkeeper family could not have been more friendly. The food was also very lovely and very plentiful.

Lancaster B&B at it's Finest

5 on May 19, 2008

A girls weekend away from home was so enjoyable mainly because we picked one of the finest B&B's in Lancaster! Angela and Wade met us upon arrival, proficiently had us registered, given us a map of the town, suggestions where to eat and shop, and in our room very quickly. This young couple, and their 3 small children are so delightful. The grounds are as well kept as the Inn itself. Food was awesome and plentiful. Rooms are well maintained and tastefully decorated. Our bed squeaked a little but we were so exhausted from our shows and shopping this did not take away from our perfect weekend. We will return for more shows at Sight and Sound and we will definitely stay at Greystone Manor. Oh, don't let forget to mention that the coupons they gave us were such an added treat and VALUE. Dinner at Dineners, cost the 2 of us only our tip and the food and service were beyond belief!! The free buggy ride was terrific, and lunch at the Creamery hit the spot. Thank you Angela and family

Above our expectations

5 on May 12, 2008

we had the best time at this inn. the gardens are absolutly awesome and the waterfalls and ponds to die for.The innkeepers are so friendly and helpful for information on the Amish stuff. we will come back to visit again.

Good value

4.0 on April 29, 2008

We stayed in a very small third floor room. Considering the price the smallness of the room was acceptable. There was even a small TV. We still had a very nice breakfast. A very pretty setting in the heart of Amish country. We enjoyed watching a local farmer plow his field with a team of mules as we sat in the parking lot. The checkout was the easiest I have ever had, probably because we booked using bedandbreakfast.com.

Holiday was splendid

5 on April 28, 2008

we really enjoyed our holiday at this inn. We got to see the Amish up close, our room was in the carriage house and luckly the farmer behind the inn was plowing his field and we got to watch them for the 3 days we were visiting on holiday. The gardend were absolutley lovely too and the water feature was just relaxing to hear from our room at night. The morning meal was also quite good and very filling, we especially liked the baked cobbler and baked oatmeals they served us each day. We had a splendid time in Amish country at this inn

great bedspead

5 on April 16, 2008

we had a wonderful time visiting this place. the folks were kind and a pleasure to dine with. Dining each morning was good, we are use to a big texas breakfast and we definitly got enough to eat. We enjoyed are selves very much and really loved the Harley Davidson factory tour, we recommend that to everyone, also we loved to all you can eat buffet Dienner's both places were recommended by our kind hosts wayne and angela, they are a fine bunch. Thank you all.

Great Location, Small Room

3.6 on April 15, 2008

The location was very nice, in the middle of fields and right next to the city of Bird-in-Hand where the majority of the Amish sights are located. The views from the property were beautiful and the gardens were very well maintained. The only disappointment was the room - we stayed in the carriage house which is not nearly as attractive from the outside as the main house and the room was on the small side, with a hard bed and lumpy pillows. We did choose the least expensive room, however.

loving our stay!

5 on April 14, 2008

we are just loving our stay here, it is so peaceful and the flowers could not be prettier. We are having wonderful weather and enjoying our balcony we have off our room, which is outstanding and very clean. Angela and here family have been the nicest innkeeper family we have ever come across. Watching her kids play outside is a treat and makes us miss our grandkids very much, They are well behavied too just to mention. So far breakfast each morning has been a treat, today we have banana pancakes, 4 cheese quiche and homemade sausage, very simple and good, also filling. We would recommend this place as a great escape. Thank you very much young family we enjoyed our stay very much with you.

Wonderful Weekend

4.6 on April 13, 2008

We had such a wonderful stay here. We were in the bridal suite and enjoyed the roomy cozy feel. We also enjoyed the beautiful landscape of the surroundings. The innkeepers made us feel welcome and helped us to plan our time by giving us coupons and directions. We also enjoyed having dinner with an amish family which our innkeepers kindly arranged for us. The food was amazing and the family was great company. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we hope to return!

Outstanding Value

4.0 on April 08, 2008

Three sisters and their spouses from CT, NJ and GA met at the excellent and fortunate choice of Greystone B & B for a mini-family reunion to celebrate our mother's 80th birthday. Mom was thrilled to spend three days and two nights in the relaxed Lancaster, PA area. Bright spring flowers lined the garden pathway to welcome us. Innkeepers Angela and Wade were cheerfully available and provided for our celebration by giving guidance as well as valuable coupons for dinners out, free ice cream cones, local discounts and an Amish carriage ride. The hot breakfast entrees were more than ample and the food bar selection was wide. We were invited to use the Main House lobby for conversation and games up until 10:00 pm. The bedrooms in the Carriage House were sufficiently but not extraordinarily outfitted; there were a few minor aggravations such as a faulty lamp switch, insufficient electrical outlets, and a squeaky bed in one room. Our stay was wonderful and we plan to return. Staying at the Greystone made our visit affordable and enjoyable. There is much to see and do in the area and Greystone B & B is a great base from which to explore the heart of Amish farmland in PA.

at inn now and loving it!

5 on April 03, 2008

Wonderful peaceful setting, beauitiful tulips and daffidiles, gardens overall. the room is cute too and breakfast is good too I liked the poundcake french toast with peaches. we will be leaving tomarrow and will definitly be back to see the pool and gardens in the summer.

Romantic Getaway

4.8 on March 28, 2008

My husband & I just stayed at the Greystone Manor Inn for our 18th wedding anniversary. It was truly beautiful. We stayed in the mansion in the bridal suite and it was beautiful. Angela & her husband were very friendly and a young hard working couple. They made our weekend a delight to stay at. We had a package deal that came w/ 2 dozen roses, fruit, cheese & champagne, a $50 gift card towards a rest. and a few other coupons we used. Our room was beautiful and very relaxing to stay in. Thanks for making our weekend special. We look forward to coming back again sometime.

Great Value/ Great Breakfast/ Great Rooms!

4.6 on March 23, 2008

This was our first stay at Greystone Manor. I decided to book something nice for my wife's 40th Birthday surprise. About the Manor--The lanscaping was phenominal, even in March! The walkway to the Manor was lined with very appropriate garden-lights. Inside, the decor, took 'us' back to the turn of the century; it was lovely, peaceful, and exactly what we were looking for, for a long weekend to relax. Our room was spacious, historic, and updated with what we needed to feel comfortable and cozy. Each morning, we enjoyed a fresh-homemade breakfast that was brought to our table/ homemade french toast, sausage, pancakes, and fresh coffee, just to name a few. The housekeeping was outstanding. The parking was nice and close. The outdoor garden was excellent. The hospitality was out-of-this-world! We will definately return to the Greystone!

beautiful and great value

4.6 on March 13, 2008

we paid only 100 per night for this inn and absolutley loved it. family and inn were nice, food was good and plentiful, and rooms were clean. great value for getting room, dinner, breakfast, ice cream cone and lots of coupons too for shopping at outlets and shops. we will definitley recommend this place to all and be back some day.

peace and quiet!

5 on March 10, 2008

we stayed at this inn for 2 days and loved it. we needed some quiet time and got just that, no one bothered us no noise, just rest and relaxation. the innkeepers booked a quiet dinner for us at the revere tavern which had a wonderful menu and food was really good. the second night we did the amish dinner, that was the best home cooking i have ever eaten. we also had good breakfast each day in the dining room, each morning we were greeted by coffee and juice, donuts made from amish that were called apple fritters, danish, bananas & grapes, and then we had a choice each day of 2 entrees, i had the french toast one day and pancakes w/ apples the secon day...pancakes were lite and really good. we had a very good time and got much needed rest. the family was nice and helpful and for only 100 per night it was a steal.

Pleasant Surprise

5 on February 22, 2008

My friend and I found Greystone manor after a long trip through Amish Country. The outside of the Manor looked so inviting we stopped to check it out. We were welcomed by Angela, who quickly showed us a large room that was funished beautifully. The price was $99.00 a night with breakfast. The affordability we could not pass up. After staying one night, we decided to stay another two nights. The bed was so comfortable. The bathroom was spacious with a very large shower stall with two sets of jets and a large old-fashioned bathtub that I could not resist taking a bath in. Breakfast was delicious and filling that we had to skip lunch, we were so full. We ventured around the local towns by the direction that they provided at the Manor and did some sightseeing and eat st some great resturants at night. Our vacation was so pleasurable and affordable, I would recommend everyone looking to tour Amish country and Landcaster to stay at the Greystone Manor.

Valentine's weekend was wonderful!

5 on February 18, 2008

We stayed at this inn for 3 nights valentine's weekend. We are locals that wanted to do something but not go too far away from the kids. We have passed this inn many times and have had friends rave about it so we wanted to check it out for ourselves. Boy it is a nice place, great atmosphere and wonderful family running the place. Angela was so friendly and I can not believe she was cooking and working as hard as she was 1 week out from her due date of her baby, God bless her. The quiche was outstanding and homemade muffins, pancakes w/ apple topping we could not have asked for better home cooking. Even though we were local we wanted to eat with an Amish family. This was also a wonderful homecooked pleasant meal that I would recommend to all that stay here. Overall we had a wonderful time, for a great price and put a few pounds on having a great weekend.

Just loved it

5 on January 17, 2008

we stayed for 2 days and loved our stay very much. It was the cutest inn, very clean and very friendly staff. We will recommend this place to all.

Romantic and Peaceful, just Lovely!

5 on December 11, 2007

we went to Lancaster PA to celebrate our anniversary and we are so glad we found this inn. The moment we arrived we were welcomed by Angela, she was so nice and even upgraded us for free to a suite with a fireplace and canopy bed because it was our anniversary. The room was very clean and smelled like fresh holiday greens and was decorated for the holidays so lovely. Then the hospitality continued and the innkeepers booked us a romantic dinner in a private wine cellar at the old greenfield restaurant, probably one of the best restaurants i have ever eaten in. Upon returning from dinner to my surprise my husband had set up with Angela and wade to have 2 dozen roses and champagne placed in our room and a box of huge hand dipped chocolate covered strawberries. So needless to say this was the best night and anniversary I could of ever asked for and I have to thank Greystone and my husband for planning it all out.

outstanding all around!

5 on November 14, 2007

we just got bak to idaho after a long holiday weekend and we absolutly fell in love with this inn. the room was small but so cute, breakfast was awesome the fresh baked apples that the owners picked from the orchard were the best we ever had, and the people were all so nice and friendly. we are from a small town and this inn made us feel right at home. We will be telling everyone in idaho about this place. thank you so much for a great holiday.

great fall getaway in pa

5 on October 29, 2007

we had a wonderful time in Pennsylvania Amish country. The greystone was a good inn with friendly people. We enjoyed the outdoors and the new good friends we made. This was our first time there and we will always remember the good weekend that we had.

wonderful and delightful stay!

4.8 on September 19, 2007

we stayed at the greystone for our anniversay. we only live 30 minutes from there and always wanted to stay. the inn was so cute inside and out, from the lazy kitten outside to the beautiful stained glass inside. we had a great anniversay and will return.

Great labor day weekend

5 on September 06, 2007

we had a wonderful weekend at the greystone. We felt right at home. the Amish chicken BBQ across the street at the firehall was awesome we got to eat with all the Amish families in the neighborhood. Saturday night we saw a funny movie and drank wine outside under the stars and to top it off There was a fireworks display that we could see plain as day from the corn field in back of the inn. Room was cute, friendly people all around, food was definetly not scarce in this area, so many buffets I think we gained 10 pounds. Overall a fantastic holiday weekend.

great family vacation!

5 on August 25, 2007

We stayed at the greystone for a family reunion. The innkeepers opened their home to us and helped us plan an Amish dinner, and even let us use their BBQ to grill out one night. Our kids played with their 2 young kids and we felt as thought they were a part of our family by the end of the 3 days we were there. The breakfasts each day were great and they even catered to our young picky teenagers, which was nice. All in all it was a great reunion from the new extended family to the clean establishment and the wonderful yard to play in and the pool especially.

week long family vacation was fun

4.6 on August 11, 2007

we came to Amish country on our family vacation this year from california. we had a wonderful time at this inn. the room had 3 beds which was great for the 4 of us, and the 2 tv's came in handy too. The pool and horses were my kids favorite thing, mine was the lovely gardens and fire circle at nighttime. The price was good, 129 per night for a 7 day/ 6 night trip, and breakfast was included which was good each day. we had a great time in Amish country and maybe someday will return.

good time good people

5 on August 08, 2007

PA Greatness

5 on August 08, 2007

We loved it here. The flowers were a nice touch to the whole experience. We stayed in a carriage house room, very clean, cozy, and great view of Amish countryside. We even got to see the Amish kids with their horses. The breakfast buffet was good, at that was french toast, sausage and quiche, w/ all your typicall other stuff like cereal fruit and juice, it was served from 730am-9am daily. We like that because we wanted to get up and get shopping since everything seemed to close so early here in Amish country. This was our second trip this month to Lancaster and we will be back in October for Apple dumpling festival, yum! Overall we had a wonderful time

The Greystone Manor B7B was a wonderful place to stay after a day full of shopping. The pool/patio area was fabulous and the nice waterfall stream made the outside so relaxing. The weekend was topped off with a wonderful movie under the stars. We met so extremely nice folks and Wade's hospitality was tremendous. Would certainly reccommend this B7B to everyone that is passing through the Hershey/Lancaster area.

A Wonderful Visit

5 on July 23, 2007

My sister, mother and myself just got back home from our shopping trip to PA. Our stay at your inn was one of the highlights of our trip. This was our first experience staying at a B&B. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. The landscaping and flowers were just gorgeous. Loved the movie and social on the lawn. The food was very good. The atmosphere of your inn is so calm and inviting. In fact I loved it so much that I'm coming again next month for several days, with my husband to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary. Thank you for a wonderful visit and I'll see you in a few weeks.

The pool was so refreshing and thehottub at night under the clear starry sky with a glass of complimentary homemade wine from the inkeepers was the perfect touch. The room was clean, the maids were even nice enough to give us extra towels and shampoo and lotions. The gardens were peaceful and absolutly beautiful. The family that runs it was so pleasant and their kids were dolls. Breakfast was every morning and we ate outside on one of the patios while listening to the river running. we will be back that is for sure. thank you for everything

Cozy and Quaint B&B

4.2 on June 28, 2007

After spending a few wks on the road for work, we were excited & relieved as we nestled into our very comfortable accomodations. It was a wonderful few days (even though cut short)to re-group & to celebrate our 32nd anniversary. The romantic, lovely setting added to make our stay memorable. We especially enjoyed meeting folks from both afar & even from our neck of the woods. The owners were helpful & the service great. They were not only kind enough to share their Victorian home, but we also had the opportunity to fully enjoy their daughter, a real treat since we will soon become grandparents. Folks from CNY

Thomas the Train Weekend

4.2 on June 24, 2007

We had a wonderful experience at Greystone Manor. The privacy of having a pool to yourself, far outways the local Holiday Inn. The owners went out of their way to accommodate us and our son who's 3 enjoyed playing with their well behaved daughter. Also had a movie night outdoors which I thought was a great idea. We will surely see them again.

wonderful getaway!

5 on June 24, 2007

We just stayed at the inn this past weekend and had a wonderful time. There were 6 of us ladies on a shopping adventure. This was the perfect setting, right in the middle of everything, great food, clean rooms, and pleasant hosts. We love to stay at different B&B's every summer and this has to be one of the best we have ever been to. The gardens were so peaceful and we even had FREE wine and a movie, which was very funny. All in all it was a great girls getaway!

Wow just Wow!

5 on June 21, 2007

This was an incredible B&B, the flowers were so delightful and the grounds just breath taking. The room rate was so reasonable, and we got a free carriage ride tour, free ice cream, comfortable room that was very clean, and a hot breakfast each morning. This was the best deal for what this place was. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Lancaster, it is definitly a great deal and is a beautiful place.

Greystone Manor in Lancaster County

5 on June 18, 2007

Do you dislike flowers? Then Greystone Manor at Bird-in-Hand, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, is probably a place to avoid. But if, like me, you would like a beautifully maintained mansion adjacent to a contemporary cottage planted in gardens of flowers that only an imaginative master gardener could create, plus a swimming pool, gazebo, and little waterful at the head of a small and delightful stream, in my opinion you couldn't do better than to arrange a visit. My room in the cottage was comfortable, cheerful, and country-quiet. A complimentary ride through surrounding farm-land in a horse-drawn buggy with a genial Amish gentleman was a delightful extra. On a scale of one to five stars, I would really like to give it six.

garden of eden!

5 on June 13, 2007

Beautiful inn with amazing gardens a true treasure. We loved swimming in the pool and relxing in the gardens. The dive in movie was so wonderful, we actually sat in the hottub and watch a movie on a huge outdoor screen. The room was only 99.00 and was clean and comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful time.

garden of eden!

5 on June 13, 2007

Wow what a wonderful B&B and for the price it was amazing. We had a hot breakfast buffet each morning, an outdoor movie on saturday night with snacks and drinks, and the grounds are so peaceful. We layed in the pool for 1/2 the day on saturday and talked with the Amish neighbors that were over using the pool. We paid only 99.00 for the room in the cottage and it was lovely, clean and quiet just what we wanted. I definetly think everyone should try this Garden of eden. Thank you for a lovely weekend

Anniversary Trip

5 on June 11, 2007

We just got back from a four-day stay at Greystone Manor to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. It was wonderful! The rooms and grounds are breathtaking! We didn't want to leave! So peaceful and relaxing. The food was great, Angela & Wade are nice people and very helpful in suggesting things to do in the area. Can't wait till we can go back again. It may become our yearly anniversary trip!

Beautiful flowers!

5 on May 11, 2007

We are staying at the inn right now, May. The flowers are beautiful, the grounds are lovely. Last night we sat and watched the Amishman neighbor plow his field until 10pm right next to the inn. Everyone was outside and it was a great experience just what we wanted to see in Amish country. Room is comfy, great mattress firm like we like it. Very clean, only regret, we came too early and the outdoor pool is not open until memorial day weekend. Breakfast buffet is good too. First timer to Amish country I think we will be back!

A step back in time

5 on April 18, 2007

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay in a charming victorian room with large attached bathroom (huge old fashioned tub as well as a modern shower). Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was a delight with sunshine streaming thru the stained glass windows.Such nice innkeepers!

great thank you

5 on April 13, 2007

My mom and I stayed at the inn just a few days ago and had a great time. The food was good and the room was very clean. The maids even gave us extra towels anytime we wanted them. We talked with Amish kids right outside the inn on the front porch; they were the neighbor kids so I really liked that. There is actually a lot to do in Lancaster Amish country, to my suprise. I thought this weekend was going to be a boring 'mom and daughter' thing but it was actually fun. Thank you very much Greystone for a good time.

Great valentine's getaway!

5 on February 23, 2007

We stayed at the greystone for the first time for valentine's day weekend. The room was clean, and so romantic. It had a king poster bed, flat screen TV, fireplace, sitting room, and balcony, (but it was a little cold to enjoy the balcony). Each morning our breakfast was good and the innkeepers were great, very attentive and informative. We loved our stay, thank you!

The room was dirty & my tv was broke. This place looks nice on the outside but I guarantee you that your service experience will upset your stay in Lancaster.

Winter wonderland

5 on January 18, 2007

We stayed at the inn right after christmas. The lights were beautiful, they outlined the whole mansion. The rooms were warm and cozy, we had a fireplace room and it was beautiful. We will be back in the summer to see the flowers everyone talks about. Thank you!
