A Painted Lady Inn

1927 NE 16th Ave. , Portland, OR 97212 USA (Show map)

A Painted Lady Inn is Portlands newest addition in affordable Bed and Breakfast accomodation. A welcoming double parlour entry with fireplace and the dining room have been beautifully appointed for our guests enjoyment and each room of the house features at least one original work of art. The feel is cozy, yet opulent with a eclectic mix of patterns, textures, and amazing detail. Large guest rooms have new queen size beds, air condioning and comfortable sitting areas. The longer you stay the more you'll appreciate the three years of work that went into the total restoration of this Irvington gem.

Very nice stay

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at the Painted Lady. There were other guests both nights and everyone was very respectful and pleasant. I don't know what she does with her eggs in the morning but they're some of the best I've had! The hot and cold water in the shower was the only thing that took a little patience but maybe that was just the days we were there. Also, we weren't concerned, but our room didn't have a lock (we didn't ask for one so it's possible it was just an oversight). Location is nice too. Nice neighborhood to just walk around and gawk at the lovely architecture or go a block over to Broadway for a nice selection of restaurants for lunch. Overall, we'd recommend the Painted Lady and if we're in Portland again, we would definitely return!

We had a lovely Portland experience. Our stay with Jody completed the experience. Wish we could have stayed longer. But now we know where to stay when we return.

In the neighborhood.

Loved this b & b.....especially after just coming from one similar in Portland--night and day! Nice neighborhood, close to light link rail, close to lots of good eats, I walked everywhere....very accessible. Ruby room was super clean, private bath and lots of space....lots of pillows on the bed and comfy too! Bfast was great! Staff was great! Very helpful with suggestions and getting me started on my two day adventure!

Lovely B&B, quiet neighborhood.

Excellent choice for staying in this NE Portland neighborhood - shops and restaurants, pubs only a 5 minute walk away. Thanks to our hosts for making our stay so pleasant and restful.

Beautifully restored old house. Great neighborhood.

Beautiful antiques and art. Hostess was great conversationalist – very real person. Neighborhood was one of the few not overly gentrified in inner Portland. Nice Sunday market Two blocks away with vegetables, music, wine, etc.

Charming, lovely period decor

It was a Victorian House with so many furniture in the house. Our room was alright except that we did not have spaces to put our clothes away. We could not close the shower room's door. The owner cooked the breakfast for us. Good coffee. The kitchen was packed with all her stuff. We had to park our car in front of the road. Need to clear things up and made it more functional in the room would be nice.

charming bed and breakfast

A Painted Lady is a beautiful house located in a quiet neighborhood near trains and bus lines. The owner is a charming host who is knowledgable about Portland.

I was so pleased to find a vacancy at this charming fully restored 1890 Victoria Farmhouse. The home was sparkling clean and furnishings were lovely, authentic for this time period. I could easily close my eyes and imagine this home at the turn of the century surrounded by farmlands instead of Lloyd Center. Interesting businesses, shops, restaurants, neighborhoods that are some of the the oldest in the city. I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to future stays when visiting family in Portland.

Owner and Innkeeper Jodi went out of her way to make us feel welcomed. She provided early breakfasts to accommodate our east coast schedule and wedding activities
