A Painted Lady Inn is Portlands newest addition in affordable Bed and Breakfast accomodation. A welcoming double parlour entry with fireplace and the dining room have been beautifully appointed for our guests enjoyment and each room of the house features at least one original work of art. The feel is cozy, yet opulent with a eclectic mix of patterns, textures, and amazing detail. Large guest rooms have new queen size beds, air condioning and comfortable sitting areas. The longer you stay the more you'll appreciate the three years of work that went into the total restoration of this Irvington gem.

Jody greeted us cheerfully and got us settled in time for a nice afternoon nap. We were going to Portland to see a show at Moda Center and wanted to stay somewhere within walking distance. It was about a mile away and we found a great place for dinner on our way. On our return, it was perfectly quiet, great bed. Breakfast was one of the best, substantial buttermilk pancakes, expertly scrambled eggs and really good coffee.

Jody is so welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are quaint and comfortable with cozy beds and the charm of old Victorian homes in the area... Walking distance to eateries and shopping... A must!!!!

A Painted Lady is outstanding in cleanliness. Our breakfast was high quality and plentiful. The location is excellent!

It is an old home with lots of antiques. The room was adequate and fairly comfortable for a single night stay. The food was eggs with gouda and I think a little cheddar and some toast with some fresh fruit and juice. Coffee and tea were provided. Our room had a 1/2 bath, but a full bath is close by. It wasn't full the night we stayed so I am unsure if the full bath gets busy or not. It was pleasant and quaint. I am not picky about my beds, but I slept well.

We had a good stay at A Painted Lady Inn last Thursday, October 27th through Sunday, October 30th. The location was nice, and Jody was a welcoming host. We got to enjoy some of Portland's nicer weather, and it was nice to come back to the Master Suite after 2 long days out. Breakfast was good, but there was no meat (bacon, sausage), just eggs and fruit. I would have liked to have a larger breakfast, as that was part of the reason we decided to stay at a bed and breakfast. Overall though, the place was nice, and we would return.

Jodi and her assistant made our stay wonderful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone coming to the Portland area.

I had a lovely room in a lovely old house. Enjoyed my stay. Just one suggestion for the owner. It takes a long time for hot water to get to the shower, and on my first day, the shower ran out of hot water before I was done. If this issue were solved, it would be a perfect place to stay.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at the Painted Lady. There were other guests both nights and everyone was very respectful and pleasant. I don't know what she does with her eggs in the morning but they're some of the best I've had! The hot and cold water in the shower was the only thing that took a little patience but maybe that was just the days we were there. Also, we weren't concerned, but our room didn't have a lock (we didn't ask for one so it's possible it was just an oversight). Location is nice too. Nice neighborhood to just walk around and gawk at the lovely architecture or go a block over to Broadway for a nice selection of restaurants for lunch. Overall, we'd recommend the Painted Lady and if we're in Portland again, we would definitely return!

We had a lovely Portland experience. Our stay with Jody completed the experience. Wish we could have stayed longer. But now we know where to stay when we return.
