We were booked to stay at the Sir Charles Room for one night. Eileen checked us in and provided us with a delicious cheese platter and cookies on arrival. She gave us a tour of the house, which was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The room has a breathtaking view of the ocean and is in close proximity to the adorable shops and wonderful restaurants of Nye Beach. Eileen was kind to accommodate our dietary restrictions, the blue berry pancakes were delicious and the hash browns were to die for! We hope to return, sometime in summer, to enjoy their hospitality all over again.

We stayed in the Victoria Suite, which occupies the entire top floor of this house. First - the B&B keeper, Eileen is very focused on making sure you are well taken care of and comfortable during your stay. She contacted us several times before we arrived just make sure we knew our way there and make sure she had the "welcome" appetizers ready upon on arrival. Eileen prepared a wonderful, candlelit breakfast each day. She made whatever type of eggs you requested with pancakes or french toast with sausage or bacon or whatever you really wanted. As I said Eileen takes great care of you. The breakfast is served in a very nice room with comfortable music playing - plus the coffee, which is organic, is delicious. The upstairs suite is expansive with plenty of space to spread out. There is a small balcony that affords a view of the Oregon coast which is a pleasant 5 minute walk away. From the balcony I even saw a rainbow. The electronics are not the latest but they are more than adequate - plus the free DVD and tape library is extensive. We found sitting on the love seat upstairs very comfortable - plus Eileen made cheese platters and snacks each night. The Grand Victorian is close to the "down-town" of Newport. A walk in harbor area, with the various fishing boats is highly recommended. Plus the Newport Aquarium, aka Oregon Coast Aquarium is a must place to visit - the walkthrough tanks are beautiful and the exhibits of jellyfish are very artistic and surreal. Also there is a wonderful LightHouse just a few miles north and it's worth your time - even if just to look at the view. Also the entry way to the Grand Victorian is especially nice and impressive with 3 stories and beautiful wood stairs. If you're looking for a very nice place to stay in Newport, with a caring B&B keeper, we recommend The Grand Victorian.

We stayed at the Grand Victorian over Labor Day. Eileen and Terry were great hosts! Eileen's cooking is amazing and baked goods are delicious! You won't be disappointed.

We stayed in the vintage cottage, so we did not see the main B&B building, but the cottage was adorable, and perfect for our family -- spacious and comfortable, with a view toward the sunset from the new porch/sunroom. Eileen made sure we had everything we needed, including tons of towels and detailed instructions on light switches and the best spots for catching the Wi-Fi (which is spotty). The cheese and salmon appetizers, cupcakes for dessert, and enormous breakfast (all brought to the cottage) were delicious. We're sorry we couldn't stay longer to take advantage of the backyard!

We stayed in the Lady Catherine Room, It was very nice the pictures are representative. Nothing too fancy but clean and comfortable with a view of the ocean. This room uses a shared bathroom with one other room. the bathroom was very nice, clean and comfortable and there is access to laundry if needed. No problems with sharing a bathroom. Breakfast and desserts were excellent and Eileen is so nice and gracious as a host. The beach is less than 5 minutes away, there are stores and restaurants near by so no need for driving you can walk. My boyfriend and I had a very relaxing and wonderful weekend and ended the trip with a proposal. So this B&B has become pretty special to us in only one weekend. We will definitely go back.

French Toast/oatmeal cookies
Guests love the french toast as I use Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla in it. Also, many are fooled that my cookies are other than oatmeal since the bourbon vanilla is used in them as well.
