The majestic McKenzie River. You might have heard this is a world class fly fishing river, awesome rafting with an incomparable scenic beauty, but did you know we have easy accessible and easy to hike to waterfalls, the number one rated hike & mountain bike trail of 26 miles, hot springs and the 185 feet deep Clear Lake and a ski resort. This can all be reached within an hour from the McKenzie River Inn "Retreat for the Arts" and riverside Cabins. The Inn is one of the oldest resorts on the McKenzie with a guest rating of 8.5 (source: booking.com 2017) The cabins are located within 50' of the rivers edge for a stunning view from your private deck or patio. Watch Bald Eagles across the river, rafters and drift boats coming by, enjoy your own BBQ or socialize at one of our fire pits or wade out on a 1200' long gravel bar and cast a fly in one of the many fishing holes.

When we booked the room the information on their site said breakfast, restaurant and cocktails. When we checked in we were advised that none of that was available. The web site also said TV which turned out to be Chrome Cast Satellite which was very spotty. We were not expecting class A accommodations but sad to say it was not a good night. Drove 7 miles to buy TV dinners. I would not recommend the McKenzie River Inn to anyone. I think the owners have lost interest.

My husband, our two little ones and I stayed for two nights in the Atrium Suite. The location is beautiful right on the river. We saw flocks of geese, King Salmon jumping and at night watched the stars by a fire outside of our suite. During the day we visited the majestic falls which were only a short drive away and soaked in Cougar hotsprings. The staff was welcoming and helpful, she even set up a clip-on chair for our 9 month old at the dining room table. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a nice birthday dinner. The bathroom is wonderful with a huge jacuzzi tub that fit our whole family. I only gave it 4 stars because the hideaway bed, which had been described as very comfortable, was not comfortable at all. This would not have been a big deal except for the fact that the price per night was quite high, $245, so we were hoping for a more comfy second bed. Other than the hideaway bed and high price, we love this place.

We stayed in the Atrium suite which was not a part of the bed and breakfast, However we were still able to participate in the breakfast for a nominal fee. The breakfasts were tasty and the portions were very. generous. Our room was exquisite. We had a full kitchen, a large bathroom that included a Jacuzzi tub.The view was mesmerizing with old growth trees framing the river that was mere steps from our back door.

Wonderful dog friendly location on an absolutely beautiful River! The cabin was rustic but clean & cute in a retro 70's kind of way. We were greeted and checked in by very nice owner Bert. Breakfast was yummy, the people were nice and the river view amazing and .all very affordably priced! We would both recommend and return again. We loved hiking the McKenzir River trail's west end and the east around. clear lake. Wow what a beautiful mountain lake just a 25 min drive from B & B!

Our visit here was very relaxing. The rooms were exactly as pictured on the website so there were no surprises. Two things could have made for a better visit. First, we stayed in the River Otter cabin and the bed was so hard neither of us slept well any night. Second, there are no screens on the doors and some of the upstairs windows so we could not open them to enjoy the sound of the water and the cool evenings. Other than that, we had a nice stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay in the Atrium Suite at the McKenzie River Inn. The room was plenty spacious for the four of us, and it was nice to have our own kitchen and jacuzzi tub. We had a wonderful view of the landscape and river, and thoroughly enjoyed the wine festival that took place during the weekend of our stay. Bert, Hubertina, and Ellie were very gracious and accommodative, and we look forward to our next stay!

I had an excellent stay. The rooms were comfortable and over-looking the river. The service was really good and the Inn-keeper 'Ellie' is very friendly and helped us with places to go. I would definitely stay here the next time.

The atrium cottage is full of charm and wonderful view. The livability is rustic, concrete floor with a rug but the bed was comfortable. Nice spot on the river.

Stayed here for two nights to attend a wedding in the area. I was a bit nervous about staying at a B&B as I have always been a fan of hotels, but felt very much at home here and had a wonderful time. The location is far enough away from any major city that connecting with nature is easy, but I never felt like I was "out in the woods." It was also great to have fresh fruits and veggies grown right on the property in our breakfast. Sleeping with the window open and hearing the river right outside was relaxing and romantic. Going back to the city was difficult at the end of the trip, especially after a completely magical and educational drift boat tour on the McKenzie river with Bert (property owner). Would definitely go back!

The sleeping accommodations was better suited for 4 than the 5 we had but advertised to sleep six which could be done but would have been very cramped. Other than that our stay was wonderful. Ellie the host was an angle helping and answering questions. Walk out the back and you are right on the river. Quiet, clean and peaceful. Just what we had hoped for.

For years I worked as a management consultant and interim manager and traveled to many locations staying in hotels in the beginning and discovering B&B's as the ultimate place to stay. When I started my own B&B I wanted those experiences to reflect in my own policies and philosophy and radiate towards my guests knowing no matter how tired or how short their vacation, I want them to leave with smile on their face.

Garden medley quiche
Our savory garden medley quiche is served with meat on the side. For your beverage we serve all natural organic apple juice, coffee and tea. English muffins and potatoes compliment this egg dish. Our fresh pears, apples, blue berries, peaches and currents in season are from our orchard as is our plum jam. One of our favorite cobbler uses these ingredients for our breakfast sweet treats.
