Such kind people! So welcoming. Location was beautiful, home was immaculate! Smelled wonderful, light music in the background. They did an excellent making us feel welcomed and completely comfortable. They were very informative and you never felt bothered to ask them a question. We truly felt like one of the family. The food was excellent! They so generously accommodated our kosher diet. We were pleasantly surprised to be served a three course breakfast both mornings. We stayed in the Corson room. It felt luxurious, yet simple. The history of the home was incorporated throughout and was very neat to read for us history lovers. Bathroom was very spacious and was so clean it looked brand new! Fresh linens and robes were brought to us the second morning. It was so humbling to be served and waited on. They went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. There were other lovely surprises like the pond and several picture windows were you could watch the wide variety of small birds eat. We have marked Reuben's Rest as a new favorite that we hope to visit again soon! Thank you Don and Marilyn for creating such a lovely getaway! We will always hold it dear.

Tim and I needed a quite place to complete our national Administrator distance program from Mesa, Arizona. I searched the northeast Texas area and Southeastern Oklahoma area to see if I could find a bed and breakfast retreat to allow us to focus on our mission / ministry with planting the word of God in children's hearts! Don and Marilyn are amazing and so inviting and the place is extraordinary. If I could imagine owning a bed and breakfast, this is what I would want it to be! The bed is so comfy and it's exceptionally clean and neat. They have thought through all of the details and truly make you feel right at home!! I highly recommend that all of my friends spend a weekend at Reuben's Rest!

I got sunburned on kayak trip the day I checked in. Don did not hesitate and brought me lotion. The room was great. The bed was great. The breakfast was great. I woke up to make coffe and it was already made. They had fridge with soft drinks, water and snacks. They helped us with local attractions and I got to hear and share hunting stories. Left with a bag of okra out of don's garden. Would stay again. Very relaxing.

My wife and I stayed here over the 4th of July weekend, 2016. This was our first B&B stay, so we don't have anything with which to compare it, but the rooms were clean, spa tubs great, breakfast AMAZING and crazy filling, and the couple running it SUPER KIND! This one is not a "cute lil cabin in the woods," but it slept well and was centrally located for most activities in the area. We'll be back, if not just to visit with Don and Marilyn.

Reuben's Rest is such a wonderful break from hotel stays! Super clean, wonderful beds, wonderful bath, and the breakfast is outstanding. The owners, Don and Marilyn, are so welcoming and will tend to any need but also respect your privacy. I just don't know how it could be any better! Definitely looking forward to my next stay.
