Short getaway

4.4 on October 22, 2017

Only an hour from home, but a great stopping point on our way to Holden Arboretum and the wineries of Lake Erie. We'll make a point to visit again!

Second stay

4.6 on September 02, 2017

We stayed at the Rockinghorse in several years ago and always said if we were back in the area that we would stay again. We were celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary and love to do antique shopping. I 76 antique mall was very close to the Rockinghorse Inn so we booked a room in the same room we stayed in before. Bob is such a wonderful host when we woke up the next morning for breakfast we smelled something wonderful and he had gotten up extra early to make us a homemade from scratch banana walnut bread which we couldn't stop eating. The Inn is very clean although the outside does need some cosmetic work but don't judge the outside because the inside is wonderful.

Wonderful treat for an overnight stay

Bob the proprietor was a most solicitous host, taking initiative to make sure we could find the place (no problem!) and graciously allowing our 5- and 2-year old kids to try out the rideable rocking horses (there are many others of all sizes on the first floor). Snacks and milk were a welcome treat when we arrived at night, and the bacon-egg souffle at breakfast the next morning was outstanding! Breakfast spread was quite nice, and the furnishings, from bedroom to grandfather clock to tableware, were a delight to admire and use. Thank you!

Very nice Bed n Breakfast

A Simpler Time

My first visit to the inn was like stepping back in time. So peaceful and lovely I had to go back the next month! Every room is full of beauty. Bob made us feel at home and helped us find wonderful local places for dinner. I've found my place to get away and relax and plan on taking others with me to enjoy the experience as well.

Pleasant Surprise

The Rocking Horse Inn was a great find. My wife and I had a wonderful weekend there. Bob was a great host and we met some very interesting people. We will be back soon. Great get away spot.

It was one of the best I've ever stayed! I'll be back!
