Nice Place Great Neighborhood!

I stayed for three nights. I felt very at home and safe in this neighborhood. Great Place! I will stay again.

Better than a traditional bed and breakfast!

This place was amazing, we stayed in the guesthouse down the street from the main inn and had a kitchen stocked with breakfast items that was refreshed every day. The area was amazing - Dayton's Oregon District - and the innkeeper were exceptionally friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Great stay at In Port Lodging in Dayton

5 on February 28, 2018

In Port was our first adventure at a B and B and we were very pleased with the stay. The apartment-like rooms were clean, with lots of amenities and nicely appointed, staff was friendly and welcoming, and it was located in the Oregon district with lots of things to do and placed to eat. We will definitely be back.

I was very impressed with the ownership and the way they manage this property. It was clean and had everything I needed, plus some. I was upgraded which was a pleasant surprise. The wine shop added charm to the stay. I will stay here my next trip to Dayton.

Fantastic Local Getaway

My wife and I have stayed at Inn Port Lodging twice. The room that we have gotten both times has been the Champagne Suite. It is decorated in a relaxed semi-French county style, with a nice living room/dining room combo, a bedroom separated by French Doors and a kitchen stocked with soft drinks, water, milk, juice and other small breakfast items as well as plates, glasses, pots, pans and other amenities. There is another room off of the hallway equipped with a two person hot tub, which is where we stayed throughout most of our stay. The Inn is located just off of the Oregon District, which offers many stores, restaurants, entertainment venues and even a movie theater. The Inn Port Lodging also has an in-house wine bar with a fantastic selection.

Dayton's Well-Kept Secret

4.2 on February 16, 2018

Inn Port D'Vino is a delightful and unpretentious inn that is located in the heart of The Oregon Historic District in downtown Dayton. One of the oldest suburbs in Dayton, the Oregon District is quaint brick streets with a wide selection of restaurants and taverns and a neighborhood of lovely old homes. Inn Port D'Vino is housed in an 1877 Victorian home that is simply decorated but still very cozy and comfortable. The magnificent high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, along with the gorgeous woodwork, add a touch of elegance. The Oporto Suite consisted of 3 rooms on the 2nd floor: a bedroom with 2 full-size beds, dresser, desk, TV and fireplace. We also had a kitchenette with table and chairs and a private bath with a shower. It was having our own apartment! The rooms were clean and comfortable but there was a bit of street noise when the taverns closed at night because the inn is VERY close to Fifth Street and all of it's restaurants and taverns and shops. Downstairs there was a large living room and a large dining room with "flexible continental breakfast" fixings that you could access 24/7. Great for early morning breakfast or late night snacks. A bonus on the property was Deaf Monty's Wine bar which was opened from 4-8pm and a very popular with neighborhood residents for a glass of wine or a beer. Coming back to the inn while Deaf Monty's was open was reminiscent of a pension above a Paris tavern. Our host, Leslie Gonya, was DELIGHTFUL and enhanced our stay there. The off-street parking was easily accessible to the inn and the neighborhood was safe to explore at any time of the day or night. There were, at least, 4 good restaurants within a 2 minute walk of the inn and a dozen taverns and restaurants within 5-10 minutes of walking. The inn is just a 5-10 minute walk from the Dayton Convention Center. We left Dayton with a much better impression than when we arrived and this inn and it's location had much to do with that. We'll be back!!

Best Location in Dayton

Excellent value. Friendly service. I stay here several times a year when on business not only because it is a beautiful old house but because the best dining in Dayton is a convenient walk.

Lovely Accommodation

My husband and I were participating in an urban charity Holiday bicycle ride in Dayton. We chose to stay at the Maui Suite rather than our usual hotel choice. It was very convenient as it was walking distance from our event's finish line celebration.

Neat little condo

My partner and I went to the Inn Port Lodging "Champagne Suite" to celebrate my birthday weekend. The suite is quite spacious, and the accommodations are lovely. Giant bed, lovely linens, clean hot tub, and lots of breakfast goodies in the kitchen area. I would definitely recommend this suite to anyone, so long as privacy isn't really an issue for you. There is a wine bar attached to the suite by a walk through door, and while they closed at 8, we could definitely hear whole conversations through the entry, which made us concerned that we were being heard as well. Not too big a deal for us, but maybe would be for others. We are artists, so this might be something that only we noticed, but there was a distinct lack of art on the walls. Would have felt homier if there was a bit more up. That isn't really a criticism so much as an observation though., We loved the space! The locations is amazing! We were walking distance from fantastic food, and lots of great small business shops which were all wonderful. If we are ever visiting Dayton, I am sure we would try to stay here again.

An Escape

A great unit with historical character and charm. Awesome value for what the unit offers. Located in the Oregon District, we walked to dinner and entertainment.
