Hidden Gem

5 on January 30, 2014

If you do not know the town of Chardon very well then you might now know about the hidden gem known as Bass Lake Inn. Recently renovated, the rooms are clean, comfortable and classic. Comfy beds too! While staying at the Inn make sure you go next store to Bass Lake Taverne for dinner and drinks. Creative menu with fresh, local ingredients. We look forward to our charming small town getaway!

The Perfect Getaway in Geauga County

The recently renovated rooms are stunning! The ambiance is warm and inviting, you feel like curling up on the balcony with a cup of tea and a good book. Don't forget to eat at the Tavern - the food and service is outstanding! Will be back again soon!

Great weekend getaway!!!

We recently stayed at the Inn and loved what they have done to the rooms to upgrade them. We stayed in the past and the rooms were dated, but you can tell they made it a priority to put money into the renovations. We stayed for the weekend and took advantage of the Stay and Dine package which gave us a $50.00 gift certificate to dine at the restaurant. The food and service were top notch. The rooms are bigger than most hotel rooms and offers a fireplace and your own balcony. The rooms are also non-smoking which we love!!! We will definetly come back for another getaway!

I was shocked at the reviews, although they were posted over 5 years ago. We enjoy our stay at Bass Lake Inn atleast twice a year. The newly remodelled rooms are beautiful!!! The rooms are comforable, clean and warmly inviting. We also eat at Bass Lake Taverne when we are there. The food and service is fabulous!!! Thank you Bass Lake Taverne and Inn Staff for making our stay spectacular!!!!!

Where's the Lake?

We enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean but not unique in any way. Dinner and brunch were outstanding. The Bass Lake Inn is definitely not "surrounded by a glistening lake" as advertised. However, there is a small pond next to the Inn.

Cozy but needs updating

3.4 on March 13, 2007

Room furnishings are basic hotel furniture, despite there being room for much nicer chairs & tables. Mattress is not the most comfortable I've slept on. Small, 19" TV but with cable. Nice fireplace, porch deck. Wireless internet usually works good. On-site restaurant is outstanding. Overall, it's cozy but the owners need to invest in updating the furnishings & linens.
