This was my second visit to Garden Gate and I will be returning in a couple of weeks for the third time! Carol and Doug are wonderful!

The Perfect Romantic Getaway

5 on April 02, 2017

This was the perfect getaway for my wife and myself. Everything was excellent. Our room was exactly as advertised and very clean, comfortable and quiet. Carol and Doug were very hospitable and seemed genuinely interested in making sure that everything about our 3-day stay was perfect. Carol's breakfasts were delicious and the service was top notch. Both were very helpful in providing us with guidance as to what to do and see during our stay. They're restaurant recommendations were spot on. We both highly recommend Garden Gate Get-A-Way and look forward to our next visit.

Very nice 'Get-a-Way' weekend.

4.6 on March 28, 2017

We stayed here in early March for a winter get a way weekend. The room we had (Brair Patch room) was just a little smaller than I was expecting, and could use some refreshing, but Doug said that was in the plans ahead. The room was very clean and sufficient. A great location not far from Berlin, Walnut Creek,& Charm. Carolee & Doug were very gracious host, The Breakfast on Sunday morning was Outstanding. We would love to return in the summer time to take in the summertime beauty of the country scenery.

25th Anniversary weekend

The room was very nice. Didn't need much service but it was there. No complaint, and would return.

Nice Getaway

3.8 on January 04, 2017

We stayed in one of the cottages and it was fantastic. Carol and Doug were great. They took over this bed and breakfast about a year ago and are in the process of doing some updates to the rooms, updating their website, etc and putting their own twist on it from what they inherited. Nice quiet getaway but still close enough that it is only a few minute drive to the hustle and bustle of "busier" parts of Amish country.

My favorite escape from the craziness of everyday life!

5 on December 15, 2016

I cannot say enough about my love for visiting "Garden Gate Get-A-Way B & B". Carol & Doug feel like family - after only two visits since Sept. One with my husband in the Fall and, recently, my daughter this December. From the cleanliness & 'home-like' ambiance of the rooms (or cottages) and the 'gathering room' (for breakfast or to just chat - w/ the big fireplace) -- to the most delicious excellent breakfasts -- to the way Carol & Doug make you feel as though you're the ONLY guests they've had stop by -- to the gorgeous peaceful countryside w/ the rolling hills & horses everywhere -- not to mention the delightful Amish communities that surround the B & B -- this place is a true ''piece of heaven on earth'. I already look forward to another visit in the late Spring -- and am quite certain my daughter & her husband will be planning their own visit very soon. I have no desire to ever leave Michigan, my forever home. But if I ever WERE to move away, this would be the area I would choose.

Definitely Recommend!

My husband and I went here for the first time in early November. We enjoyed it so much! We stayed in one of their cottages (I believe we were in Springs Desire). It was immaculately clean and tidy. It seems to be out in the middle of nowhere which was so relaxing! You can watch the horses graze from the cottage back porch or feed them the apples off the trees as the fence is right beside the cottage. Even though it felt like you were so far away from town, it only took us 7-10 minutes to get something for supper. Breakfast was amazing. Both the food and the conversation! We plan on returning when we have another weekend to get away and can't wait!

Anniversary Weekend
