Heaven in the Hills

5 on May 21, 2018

In 2011, I posted a review for this Inn asserting that I had found B&B gold in the Welsh Hills and predicting that the inn would soon be on lists of the best B&Bs. Who knew how understated that prediction would be?! At that time, the Inn had been in operation for about a year. Since then, the Inn has been named the #1 B&B in the USA and #4 inn world-wide! I returned recently after several years to find Heaven in the Hills! As I drove up the winding lane, the rows of ornamental pear trees lining both sides were magnificent with brilliant white spring blossoms and some petals floating slowly to the ground. I don't know what heaven looks like, but this was surely a good hint! As I pulled up to the Inn, Bobbi was there to greet me along with the Inn's two dogs, Ellie and Wrigley. Ellie, like me, has begun to show her years, but Wrigley is there to keep us feeling young. Bobbi gave me a choice of parking spaces for the duration of my stay. A hospitable practice! Bobbi and Jeff were the same gracious, helpful and friendly hosts they were back in 2011. But then they were intent on building the reputation of their Inn. Now, they have already reached the pinnacle of success. You can't do better than #1, right?! But this success has not gone to their heads. Now they are just down right genuine people who give as freely to their guests as they would to family or friends. In addition to being wonderful hosts, they were able to provide valuable advice and professional references to me regarding some local family business I had to take care of. The luxurious room and bathroom and the incredible breakfasts are still great and even a little better. Since 2011, my wife and I have traveled more broadly and have stayed at some extraordinary places. One was an inn in the Cotswolds in England once ranked as the #1 inn in the world by travelers. Another was the home of the clan which produced the kings of Ireland. I like the Welsh Hills Inn better.

Wonderful Stay

This is a lovely inn. It is in a peaceful setting with lovely grounds. The hospitality is superb. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. One of my highlights of this inn is Ellie and Wrigley, the resident pooches. This place is a perfect getaway!

Relaxation Redefined

5 on April 29, 2018

Bobbi and Jeff have created a special bed and breakfast that truly lives up to their logo of "relaxation. redefined". We have been coming to visit over the last 4 years while our daughter has been at Denison University which is a 5 minute car ride away. Our times at the inn have provided us with a way to visit with our daughter and relax. The hospitality, their beautiful home & accommodations, grounds, amazing breakfast and Wrigley & Ellie (sweet dogs!) made us always feel happy and relaxed. We look forward to more visits even when our daughter is graduated!

B & B Art and Luxury!

Worth the trip from anywhere, we were treated to wonderful hosts (Bobbi and Jeff) and 5-star accommodations and food. I only wish we had more time.

It is a winner!

We traveled to the Welsh Hills Inn wondering what it was that rated it one of the best in the country and even in the world. We could sense the answer to that when we drove up the drive. Serenity abounds. From the perfectly decorated rooms to quiet surroundings the entire Inn welcomes you. Bobbi and Jeff tended to our greeting like we were family. We enjoyed the wine and cheese prepared so we could sit in front of the fire in the gathering room and unwind. In the morning we had the best breakfast we have ever had at a BnB. It was complete with a spectacular view of the fields and forest. We were only there one evening in the spring but we will return because this is a place that calls a visitor back. You must try it for yourself!

Counting down the days until we return!

5 on April 16, 2018

My family and I have had the opportunity to stay at the Inn a few times and it never disappoints. Bobbi and Jeff remember us each time and welcome us back with open arms. The property is so beautiful and clean from top to bottom and inviting from every aspect. The decor is amazing and makes you feel right at home. Every time we visit Bobbi and Jeff make each experience memorable and we look forward to returning very soon.

Special Place

5 on April 10, 2018

My wife and I just spent three fantastic days at the Welsh Hills Inn. We had a great time, with a couples massage, and a Candlelight Dinner. The place is beautiful, the food is great, and it is extremely clean. But above all Bobbi and Jeff make the place special. We will be back.

Extraordinary inn. Discovery at every turn.

5 on February 15, 2018

My husband and I just stayed here for a weekend get away. The way the driveway winds up to the inn, how the house is positioned on the hill, it felt like we were entering a familiar painting. When we parked, we noticed the snow inter-tubes propped nearby for our discovery. We stayed in the Brynmor Queen Luxe Suite. Although there is no tub in this private tucked away suite, it has its own living room with beautiful and equally comfortable furniture plus an area with an artful wooden counter with chairs that are multi-functional - we loved it, and plan to stay here again. Bobbi and Jeff, the owners/innkeepers are extraordinary people. Their inn is designed with discovery in mind. There are atypical books, incredible and whimsical artwork everywhere, a piano, a wood burning fireplace, and lots of space to hang out in. The food is top notch, from their thoughtfully prepared wine and snacks, to their bountiful breakfasts where they served us a national award winning blackberry jam, We enjoyed a private dinner, prepared by Bobbi and Jeff Friday night. I highly recommend this on the first night. My dinner included the best pork I have ever tasted. Bobbi and Jeff are down to earth artists and adventurers in tending to their home and their guests down to every detail and consideration. Ellie and Wrigley, their dogs, were our companions, waiting for us when we went on our walk in the countryside, playing with us in the snow and sitting down beside us. Finally, when we booked, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for our room. The abundant arrangement is still fresh, a wonderful reminder of how well we were cared for.

Simply a fabulous place to enjoy a getaway

After staying at many B&Bs over the years, we definitely feel that the Welsh Hills Inn deserves every 5-star review that it has earned. We stayed at the Inn for two nights just after New Year's Day. Bobbi and Jeff were truly wonderful hosts, and the Inn (still beautifully decorated for Christmas) was the perfect place to unwind after the holiday season. Breakfasts were outstanding, and the snacks and wine in the afternoon were lovely. We also enjoyed finding delectable sweet treats in our rooms when we returned from dinner each evening. And Ellie and Wrigley were perfect canine hostesses as well! We will absolutely return and highly recommend the Inn to all travelers.

Best we've seen

5 on January 08, 2018

We stayed a night at Welsh Hills just before New Years Eve, 2017. We have stayed at lots of B&B's before this trip, from Ohio to New England to California wine country, and this is absolutely the nicest one we have ever experienced. Bobbi & Jeff have clearly put heart and soul into the Inn, and we had a tremendous experience in a splendidly appointed home. We booked the Derwen Del room, and it was great... we stayed very warm while watching the snow fly outside our window overlooking the woods. Breakfast was superb, and I can't give six stars, or I would.

First Time BnB Stay Will Be Forever Remembered!

5 on December 06, 2017

I knew the weekend was going to be special after we entered to the background of holiday music and Bobbi and Jeff's two dogs Ellie & Wrigley came to greet us. We got in late and Bobbi was extremely accommodating in giving us a tour along with Jeff assisting with carrying in our luggage. The next morning my wife and I were treated to probably one of the best omelettes I've ever had. Jeff's passion for cooking shines and both mornings we were there we had amazing breakfasts and left a lasting impression! The room we stayed in was the Brynmor Queen Luxe Suite. Located on the basement floor of the Welsh Hills Inn, it's decked out with amazing amenities. The marble shower with multiple shower heads, a soft, warm, and cozy bed, a sitting room with a brand new Samsung 4K HDR 65" TV, and plenty of options for seating and kicking back led to the most relaxed trips my wife and I have had in a long time. The Welsh Hills Inn was very clean, decorated for the holiday nicely, and is run by two polite and respectable folks. Bobbi and Jeff made sure to communicate just enough with their guests but they never smothered or were overbearing. It was always good to see them and catch up with them. The sign they have on the overhead of their one hallway reads, "Enter as Strangers, Leave as Friends", which of course at the time when I read it, and this being my first time at the Welsh Hills Inn and a BnB overall, I had my doubts but I was glad to be proven wrong. For such a great stay, I look forward to coming back again in the near future! Thank you again Bobbi and Jeff!

My husband and I needed a little 24 hour getaway close to home... so I stumbled upon this little gem while searching online. I'm so glad I did! The only regret we have is that we didn't stay longer! From the moment we walked in we knew we would love it. Bobbi and Jeff are so welcoming and our amenities were comfortable and warm. We were new to this "bed and breakfast" gig, but this experience sure made us believers! This property is so gorgeous and inviting - no review can do it justice. We are looking so forward to our next visit. WE HIGHLY recommend the Welsh Hills Inn!!!!!

Amazing Hideaway in the Hills of Ohio

5 on November 18, 2017

Wow! What an incredible weekend. We had heard wonderful things about this Inn, and we have visited many B&B's, but The Welsh Hills Inn was something different. There wasn't one dissatisfactory thing about this Inn and our experience. Bobbi and Jeff were amazing professional hosts. They were present when we needed them to be present, and they were hidden when we needed them to be hidden. The facilities were amazing, with wrap-around porches that look over the Ohio hills, deep woods for hiking, not another building, house or structure visible, and just beautiful. Gun Training and clays shooting with Jeff was an activity that our entire group of novices found exciting. Great gun safety instructor! Do yourself a favor, and schedule a weekend at The Welsh Hills Inn. You will NOT regret a single moment, and you WILL leave with the same parting thought that we did: "This stay was not long enough."

lives up to expectations

Beautiful grounds, wonderful hosts, comfortable room, high quality abounds. It's everything you'd expect from a nationally recognized B&B. Can't wait to go back!

Tranquil getaway

4.6 on October 29, 2017

We did a mother/daughter weekend at the Welsh Hills Inn in late summer and had a wonderful time. Breakfast each morning was amazing. The setting was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed waking up early and enjoying coffee on the front porch overlooking the lawn, reading poolside in the afternoon, and visiting nearby Granville for meals. We will be back!

Felt like I won the lottery!

5 on October 18, 2017

We've stayed at the Inn several times and it's an amazing place. I so appreciate that Bobbi & Jeff are willing to share their beautiful home with guests. The rooms are well appointed, the grounds are what dreams are made of, and Ellie, Wrigley and Finnegan are adorable. Each evening I try to sit on the porch and enjoy some tea, (Ellie's blend is my favorite), and read one of the many great books they have in their collection. Last winter we stayed and there was a wonderful firing in the wood burning fireplace in the gathering room and Ellie helped keep my feet warm. Our more recent visit we sat around the fire pit behind the pool house and chatted while the guys smoked cigars. I'm a vegetarian and Bobbi and Jeff are always very accommodating. We always look forward to an opportunity to stay at the Welsh Hills Inn and next time I think we're going to schedule some massages. Thank you again for sharing your home with us Bobbi & Jeff.

October Birthday Celebration

5 on October 18, 2017

I took my wife here for her birthday and it was an amazing stay. This was our first B&B and the couple, Jeff & Bobbi, could not have been more accommodating. It is a beautiful country home sitting on a hill overlooking 15 acres. There are woods, a small pond, hammocks dotting the property, and a pool. There is also an archery/shooting range in the woods and a Bocce ball court. Between Jeff's impeccable breakfasts and Bobbi's attention to detail, you are sure to feel right at home! Their two dogs are extremely lovable and add to the hospitable ambiance exuding from the property. We will definitely be back! If you go, try the French Vanilla Cream tea.

Wonderful B & B - the best

5 on October 16, 2017

From the moment we pulled into the driveway we suddenly felt relaxed. Walking into the front door we were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. Bobbi and Jeff are very attentive host and every detail, from the tea always available to the magazines and books, was the perfect touch. Jeff's breakfast omelet he make for us was the best I have every had! Ellie and Wrigley, the Inns mascots, are sweet and so fun to be with. I have stayed at a few B & B's but this one is ahead of all the others. It is in a league of its own and should be giving lessons to all the others. Our room was very spacious and the Italian tub and steam shower was a perfect end to a perfect day. Bobbi, Jeff, Ellie and Wrigley have the B & B concept perfected. We will be back to our new happy place.

Sisters Getaway

5 on October 16, 2017

I loved our private getaway with my dear sister who lives at a distance. Nestled hillside, within a gorgeous valley setting, we enjoyed a spacious, tastefully appointed property and bedroom with best shower ever. Kind-hearted, attentive hosts, Bobbi and Jeff, were so knowledgeable of the area and provided delicious foods. We enjoyed the many vistas inside and out with poolside, hot tub, and fireside chats complete with music of our choosing. Also, the outdoor hiking/ target shooting was perfect and made me feel as though I were on a real vacation.

October Birthday Celebration

5 on October 15, 2017

This was an excellent stay from start to finish just far enough outside the Columbus metro area. In the serene hills north of Granville you quickly forget you are only about a half hour away from the city. Jeff and Bobbi are amazing hosts and people! Their sincerity and care is unmistakeable as if they were born to do this. This was our first bed and breakfast, and boy do any others we stay at in the future have some big shoes to fill. Everything was extremely positive from the breakfasts Jeff cooked (BEST Frittata & French toast), care Bobbi provided (always offering fresh beverages and leaving us something special in our rooms each day), interesting decor and artwork, to the ambiance of the house and property. This must be the quintessential B&B all others attempt to replicate. We will go back, and truly appreciate what the Noes have done!

Anniversary Trip

5 on October 15, 2017

My husband and I received a gift certificate for The Welsh Hills Inn from our daughter and her boyfriend at Christmas. We decided to use it to celebrate our anniversary and we were amazed at what a wonderful and unique place Jeff and Bobbi have created. This was our first stay at a Bed and Breakfast and were amazed by everything The Welsh Hills Inn had to offer. From the wonderful amenities provided in our room, to the wine and cheese hour in the evening and finally the delicious breakfast. We could not ask for more. We especially liked the four legged kids that would greet you like a long lost friend. Bobbi and Jeff are fantastic Inn Keepers and we cannot wait to go back again.

Welsh Hills Inn

5 on October 13, 2017

Just returned from two lovely nights at The Welsh Hills Inn. I don't have much experience with Bed and Breakfasts, but cannot imagine a better experience than this one. I loved being greeted by the two dogs, Ellie and Wrigley, and enjoyed their company throughout the visit. Bobbi and Jeff are excellent hosts, warm and so accommodating and yet assure you of however much privacy you would like as well. The breakfasts, and we had one dinner, are definitely a highlight. As beautiful to the eyes as they are delicious to the palate. The Inn itself is full of fascinating artwork and the grounds are just gorgeous. Every detail has been taken care of for a truly memorable stay. Highly recommend it!

A delightful getaway

5 on October 10, 2017

We stayed at The Welsh Hills Inn on the recommendation of my mother. I'm not saying my mother occasionally gets too excited about things and exaggerates about how great they are--but I'm not saying she doesn't, either. In this case, IF she had gotten very excited about this place and IF I happened to have thought she was exaggerating about how great it was, I would definitely have been wrong. The Welsh Hills Inn is a really exceptional bed and breakfast experience. No detail is overlooked and the property is exceptionally situated. Bobbi and Jeff have outdone themselves in creating a first-rate experience for their guests--and I would highly recommend it to anyone. We will definitely return--especially when we're looking to enjoy a peaceful 'country' getaway with some delightful hosts who treat you like long-lost friends.

A Little Piece of Heaven

5 on October 09, 2017

The Inn and it's owners do not disappoint. They are the most gracious hosts, and their attention to detail is superb. The Inn itself is so beautiful, as is it's setting. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds and linens are very cozy and comfortable. Each breakfast we had was a work of art--and delicious! We look forward to our next visit!

Anniversary Getwaway

5 on September 30, 2017

I stumbled upon this little gem hunting for a bed and breakfast for a long weekend trip to northern Ohio with my husband for the summer. Somehow The Welsh Inn came up in my google search, living in Columbus we decided to book a night for a nice close getaway to celebrate our 3rd Anniversary. It was the best decision we've made (aside from our marriage). We now know how great this place is and it being in our "backyard" is even better. We left begrudgingly, but while we were there we were already talking about when we will come back to spend more than 1 night. Bobbie and Jeff are wonderful hosts, very attentive but not smothering. I recommend anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of life to go stay at the Welsh Inn for at the very least one night and you will be hooked if not by the home then by Ellie and Wrigley.

There isn't just 1 reason they are the #1 B&B. There are SEVERAL!!!

5 on September 29, 2017

Where to even start?! From the moment we laid eyes on the property, we knew this would be a special place for us. Our intuitions were correct. From the gourmet breakfast (with Jeff's fresh ingredients and attention to detail to Bobbi's perfect hostessing and DELICIOUS homemade biscuits), the electric art throughout their home, the immaculate grounds (complete with pool and hot tub), AMAZINGLY comfortable bed, the soft, jazzy music ever present in the background, perfect appetizers and wine in the evening, well behaved and adorable furry friends (I had to stop Angie from trying to dognap Wrigley!), to the GREAT conversation and new friends we have made! This was exactly the perfect combination of rest/relaxation and rejuvenation that we so desperately needed. We have frequented SEVERAL B&B/Inns throughout the Midwest and NOTHING even comes close to the luxury and beauty of this one. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for a truly magical stay and we will be counting the days until we are able to return. Until we meet again! Love, Candice and Angie

We loved it

I read the reviews about the Welsh Hills Inn but expected that the positive reviews were just hype. I was completely wrong!!! The Welsh Hills inn lived up to the great reviews and exceeded any expectations we had. Truly superb place to stay at. Relaxing, cozy, hospitable. Food was excellent, the hosts were very nice, the house is very well kept. It had everything you could imagine that could enhance your stay: heated pool, hot tub, games, TV/movies room and hiking. It was definitely a memorable weekend and we can't wait to go back again.

The Perfect Gift

The Welsh Hills Inn B&B offers a delightful and luxuriant experience. Jeff abs Bobbi Noe do an excellent job of making you feel welcome. You will find tranquility and beauty at the Inn and on it's grounds. Every amenity and activity you can imagine is available, and breakfast is delicious. We would recommend this B&B to everyone.

5 on September 16, 2017

is place was heaven on earth. Could feel the tensions of life melt away one by one. Jeff and Bobbi were the ultimate hosts, accommodating and down to earth. Relaxation at every turn including the inviting hammocks and the gentle sound of the water rippling of the fountain and pool area. Fabulous breakfast , wine and cheese, and tea selections. They even surprised my husband with bottled beer. What a great way to celebrate our 40th anniversary . Plan on returning every anniversary !!!

A Real Treasure

5 on September 11, 2017

A truly memorable and relaxing get away! After helping our daughter move into her dorm for her second year at The Ohio State University, we treated ourselves to two nights in the Bedwen Bach King Guest Room at the beautiful and tranquil Welsh Hills Inn in Granville (a short 45 minute drive from Columbus). This is truly a very special and one-of-a-kind Bed & Breakfast with so many pluses. Highlights for us included the delicious gourmet breakfasts, walks around the gorgeous and peaceful grounds, quiet times perusing books in the main living area and on the porch, and the welcome companionship of the well-behaved dogs Ellie and Wrigley. Jeff and Bobbi are terrific innkeepers who have mastered pampering their guests without being intrusive. We also enjoyed walking around and dining in the quaint town of Granville. Thanks for a terrific stay, and we hope to return for future visits.

Truly Relaxation Redefined

5 on September 08, 2017

We stayed at this Inn for two nights over Labor Day weekend. I chose this Inn based on the Inn’s website and all the fabulous reviews it receives, plus it has an outdoor heated pool! Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. As so many of these reviews have stated, Bobbi and Jeff (as well as their four-legged friends Ellie and Wrigley) welcome you into their beautiful home and treat you like family. Our room, the Bedwen Bach King Guest Room, had a Jack and Jill bath with gorgeous views of the pool courtyard. The evening wine and cheese and the morning breakfasts were luscious. The weather cooperated and we had two beautiful days to enjoy the pool. Unfortunately, the pool heater was not on and the water was quite cold on the first day, so we enjoyed the hot tub and relaxed in comfortable cushioned teak lounge chairs around the pool. Jeff quickly turned the pool heater on and by the second day the pool water was warm and we were able to enjoy swimming and using the foam pool floats. This Inn is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. We can’t wait to return!

Great B and B!

5 on September 05, 2017

Two days at the Welsh Hills Inn—how delightful! We went there to celebrate our 52nd anniversary. As you can imagine, we have experienced many B and Bs over the years, so you can trust our judgment. We were delayed and called to say we would arrive late. Bobbi was there to greet us and show us around. We even had some wine to top off our evening. The two breakfasts we enjoyed were marvelous. Jeff is quite the chef. The plates were beautiful and the environment charming. We ate on the porch overlooking the grounds. The first morning another couple joined us and the second we were alone. Both were fun and relaxing. Bobbi and Jeff are the perfect hosts—around enough if you need them but giving privacy as well. The home is beautifully decorated and yet cozy and inviting. We stayed in the Derwen Del King Guest Room and it was outstanding—large bathroom with plenty of counter space for toiletries, nice shower. The room itself had three comfortable chairs as well as the usual accommodations. The king bed was just right, the wifi was easy, and the décor was fascinating. The sitting room just outside our door was cozy and always available. All in all, a wonderful two days there!

Beautiful Inn and wonderful stay....

This is a beautiful Inn and worth every penny. We stayed for our 33rd anniversary. The Inn is beautiful and extremely clean. The food fantastic. It will not disappoint.

Marriage Anniversary Relaxation Redefined!

5 on August 23, 2017

My wife and I have been to many different B&B's both here (in the US) and abroad internationally. With that being said I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the Welsh Hills Inn is our new favorite B&B and we will be back hopefully sooner rather then later. We arrived early (before 3pm check-in) for a romantic picnic lunch and were greeted immediately by both Ellie (Golden Retriever) and Wrigley (Austrailian Shepard) and they led us along to where we needed to go. They were some of the most kindest, gentlist, friendliest dogs we had ever encountered. It was hard for us not to get too attached since my wife and I are very big "dog" people. Jeff and Bobbi were wonderful and did everything in their power to make sure we were taken care of. We opted for a candlelight dinner also and the food left me very happy and extremely satisfied. It was one of the best New York Strip Steaks I have ever had and I'm a steak lover. The food from the picnic and dinner were out of this world. Combine that with the atmosphere, hospitality, beautiful rooms with luxury amentities and unique art and reading material, and etc. (because there's much more) makes this one of the best places that we could have ever imagined celebrating our 3rd Wedding Anniversary at. It was a Godsend and we feel blessed to have experienced this amazing place. Can't wait to come back! Thanks again Jeff, Bobbi, Ellie, & Wrigley. You will be missed :)

A homey retreat

We stayed one night for our 26th anniversary and enjoyed it immensely. This was our first experience with a Bed & Breakfast and we will definitely be back. Bobbi has the gift of hospitality and makes you feel right at home. We stayed in the Bedwen Bach room and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! We enjoyed making friends with the inn's dogs, Wrigley and Ellie. We went fishing in the pond (and caught a couple bass) and enjoyed the hot tub. Overall, a very relaxing getaway!

45th Anniversary Celebration

This Bed & Breakfast is definitely the nicest we have stayed at. From the beautiful grounds, to all the wonderful amenities, to the relaxing atmosphere, to the wonderful is TOP NOTCH! Of course the dogs are fun, but what makes it so special is Bobbi & Jeff. Not only their hospitality in making you feel special, but their kind and "easy" spirits! Thank you for making it a wonderful stay. We will are already thinking about people we know that would enjoy this beautiful paradise. Thanks, Bobbi & Jeff!

My wife and I stayed in the Berllan Glyn King Suite. The occasion was over 35th wedding anniversary and to be near our first grandchild. Bobbie and Jeff were wonderful and the stay was outstanding and exceeded all expectations. My wife is extremely picky about where she will stay and beds. The biggest compliment is that she said she can't wait to return.

This was our first visit and we went with high expeectations. They were exceeded by a mile ! Every aspect was delightful and after packing to leave, we spontaneously pleaded to stay an extra day. Now, we cant wait to go back. And to tell our friends to book quickly. Bobbi and Jeff are consummate hosts and they have created a beautiful home they share with grace and style. No wonder The Welsh Hills inn was rated number one in America. It's a treasure. --- Gerald and Margaret Matthes

Loved our stay here. Everything was great. The property, the rooms, linens, the breakfast, the owners -- it was all top notch. We went here for our anniversary and it was everything we expected and more. We highly recommend and we'll definitely be back! - Derek and Denise Ochs, Dublin Ohio

4.4 on July 30, 2017

We chose The Welsh Hills Inn for our 10th wedding anniversary and it was above and beyond our expectations! Bobbi and Jeff offer such a variety of ways to relax and reconnect. We enjoyed the pool, explored the wooded hiking trails, and rocked on the porch with a book. The breakfast Jeff cooked was a perfect way to open up our day! Bobbi was very accommodating to our interests and concerns. They've found the perfect balance in providing both company and privacy to their guests. -Ryan and Sarah

Relaxation at its finest

5 on July 30, 2017

The Welsh Hills Inn provides so much relaxation and comfort you won't want to leave! Bobbi and Jeff are very friendly and available to attend to whatever is needed. Their two dogs are absolutely a hoot and joy to be around. Our room was impeccably clean and lovely and the breakfast was delicious. Location of the Inn is convenient to rolling hills and the charming town of Granville. Couldn't have asked for anything better!

All the praise and awards are very well earned!

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights recently and everything you read about The Welsh Hills Inn is true...and more. After seeing an article featuring the Inn, I booked a room for my wife and I as her Christmas present. To my surprise, she added on to the package between then and our stay as an anniversary present, making it 2 nights, 3 days with a candlelight dinner and a bike ride with a picnic lunch. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, nestled at the top of a hill with a winding driveway and lush landscaping. Wrigley greeted us in the driveway and Ellie was waiting inside when we walked in. Music filled the house (Frank Sinatra when we arrived). Everything is neat, clean, tidy....very first class and inviting. Bobbi and Jeff are fantastic hosts, very warm and friendly. The best trait is you can tell they truly enjoy having you stay; it's not for show or an act. They make you feel like the house is yours while you're there. The food is just amazing (Jeff does all of the cooking). If I could give an extra star just based on our meals, I would. Our 2 breakfasts were omelets and french toast, and both were outstanding. I even asked if Jeff had taken culinary classes because of the quality of the food-nope, all self-taught! Lastly, the dinner we had was over-the-moon. My wife had ordered me the New York Strip ahead of our arrival and it is honestly the best steak I've ever eaten. The sauce he puts on it is ridiculously good to the point where you need to eat the whole steak just because of how good it is. Along with the chicken for my wife and the pie we had, it was truly a first class candle light dinner on the porch overlooking the property. If you are going to be in the area, do yourself a favor and book a night or two! You will not be disappointed!! We will definitely go back and stay again!!

quick relaxing getaway

5 on July 07, 2017

We had a 1-night stay at the inn to celebrate our 15th anniversary in June - Our only regret was not staying another night or more! It was such a relaxing getaway! There is plenty to do right on the grounds (hiking, a pool, bocce ball, fire pit, darts, hammocks, etc) and Bobbi & Jeff were so helpful and kind. And the front porch was amazing - so peaceful, the perfect place to read a book, enjoy your coffee, chat or play cards (we did all of the above). The whole property is beautiful. We can't wait to come back again sometime!

Exceeded our high expectations

5 on July 06, 2017

My husband and I recently stayed at the Welsh Hills Inn on Jun 11-13. I had found the Inn via Trip Advisor, and was convinced to stay due to all the outstanding reviews, and learning about all the amenities (pool, shooting range, acreage), that are unusual for a B&B. Like the title suggests, this property definitely exceeded our expectations, and we have stayed at may nice B&Bs. The property, inside the home and the grounds, was just immaculate. The view from the front porch with the rocking chairs could have been of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia - I was not aware that a spot so close to Columbus had such rolling hills. The pool and games area was great, just such a relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast and snacks were delicious and filling. My husband and I really enjoyed morning walks through the trails in the wooded part of the property (10 acres), and he was very impressed with the shooting range and Jeff's hospitality during his outing there. Of course Bobbi was really nice, too, so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. We would love to stay here again. We came for the pool weather, but I'm sure it's great in any season.

Tranquil Getaway

5 on July 05, 2017

We had two suites connected by a Jack-and-Jill bathroom. The Queen room was elegant and beautiful. The King room was immaculate and more masculine. Beside Ellie, Wrigley, and Finnegan, the dog, dog, cat, respectively, it's difficult to mention just one thing that best describes the Inn. Is it the music? The complimentary wine and cheese? The perfect breakfast? The beautiful grounds? The proprietors, Bobbi and Jeff? The rockers and hammocks? The list goes on and on and the experience is greater than the sum of the parts. As a p.s. I left my phone charger there, and they are personally bring it to my house. Above and beyond. Thank you, Bobbi and Jeff, for your beautiful Welsh Hills Inn. Jeff and Marilyn

Wonderful Retreat

Our new favorite place!

5 on June 26, 2017

My wife and I recently stayed a night to celebrate our anniversary, and had high expectations based on the wonderful reviews and being rated the #1 B&B in the US and #5 in the world. Not only were our expectations met, but exceeded in every way! The inn is spotless and gorgeous, with every little detail in place to make you feel comfortable, cozy, and relaxed! The grounds are beautiful, giving you the opportunity to relax by the pool or on the front porch, or play one of the games in the activity area (bocce ball, darts, ping pong, etc.) - my wife and I enjoyed a delicious dinner cooked up by Jeff, and a glass of wine by the fire pit in the evening. Bobbi makes sure you are happy and comfortable every step of the way, and she couldn't be more accommodating. Dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious - Jeff is an amazing chef. The rooms are super comfortable, with comfy beds and the entire room is spotless. This is our new favorite relaxation destination, and we can't wait to return every year to celebrate our anniversary. Thanks Bobbi and Jeff!

Happy Anniversary

Best Bed and Breakfast We Have Ever Visited

5 on June 05, 2017

Bobbi and Jeff, Wrigley and Ellie, rooms, food, activities, hospitality, decor, landscaping, tranquility, sincerity, peace, quiet, local flavor, views, wine and cheese hour, pool, helpfulness - all are beyond a doubt, the best we have ever experienced at any bed and breakfast we have ever visited. We are already planning on when we can get back there - they are simply wonderful people with a one-of-a-kind establishment.

A beautiful weekend excursion, in a small, quaint town..

5 on June 05, 2017

My wife and I decided to spend our 4 year anniversary at the Welsh Hills Inn. We wanted something that wasn't so far away (about an hour away from Hilliard, OH), but still feels like something out of the norm of everyday life. From the moment you step in, you are greeted by the amazing host of Bobbi and Jeff. They both welcomed us into their homes with open arms. Actually, I'm wrong. We were initially greeted by their two wonderful dogs, Wrigley and Ellie. We are dog people and so this was a pleasant surprise. After getting a tour of the home, we settled in to the Derwen Del, which was an upstairs suite. It was very clean, and adequate, and very nicely decorated. We decided to spend some time by the pool, but unfortunately, and this was the only negative on the weekend, the weather was not cooperative with us, and we had to take cover under the patio. We decided to play board games on the patio, which was strangely refreshing as it allowed us to focus on us, versus being connected to technology.. Our bed had plush sheets and was very comfortable. We gave Bobbi a time on when we wanted breakfast ready. Get ready for an amazing meal! It was actually a lot better than the 100.00 meal we spent the night before!! Bobbi and Jeff greeted us on our way out. They were always available and made us feel very welcome. I would recommend this B and B to anyone looking for a romantic getaway for the weekend.

Hospitality and Comfort at their Finest

5 on June 04, 2017

Hosts Bobbi & Jeff have considered every detail to deliver a truly enjoyable stay. We spent the weekend at the inn and took advantage of the great outdoor amenities. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and impeccably maintained. The breakfasts used local, fresh ingredients and satisfied our sweet and savory cravings. Bobbi, Jeff and their canine assistants rolled out the red carpet, making for a very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The layout of the inn and grounds gives the feeling of a private oasis and there are multiple areas to congregate with friends or spend a quiet moment relaxing. We will definitely return. This is the best kept secret of Granville.

You will not be disappointed

5 on June 03, 2017

We have stayed at many B&B's all across the country (probably 30 or more), and we rate Welsh Hills Inn as our favorite. The rooms are spacious, the grounds are beautiful, the art displayed all around the inn is wonderful. There are books everywhere, tea and snacks available all of the time, a beautiful porch to enjoy. There is so much to do right at the Inn, and Granville is a lovely college town. Both of our breakfasts were delicious, and Bobbi and Jeff are as kind as anyone you will ever meet. We didn't get a chance to use the pool or hot tub since we visited in mid-May, so I guess we'll have to go back soon! It is our expectation that we will make this an annual visit. Wonderful, Peaceful B&B!!!

5 on May 30, 2017

Recently visited the Inn with 3 other couples. We were celebrating our friend's birthday. Enjoyed a wonderful birthday dinner prepared by Inn owner Jeff. Steaks were prepared perfectly along with side dishes. Bobbi set a beautiful table setting on the porch for all of us and graciously took care of us throughout dinner. The rooms were very pretty and comfortable. All the artwork in the Inn was a highlight! We took advantage of sitting around the pool, table tennis, darts, massage, clay pigeon shooting. The guys played golf at nearby golf course! The owners, Bobbi and Jeff, make your stay perfect! I hope to be able to return to the Welsh Hills Inn and enjoy the beautiful landscape, outstanding owners, and comfortable inviting rooms!!

A Wonderful Place to Stay!

Anniversary getaway

This was our second trip to Welsh Hills Inn. This time, to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We loved it even more than our first visit. The grounds are beautiful and the house exquisite. Breakfast was delicious and our hosts couldn't be more friendly. It is a real treat to stay there. We cannot wait to go back.

Wonderful surprise!

5 on May 08, 2017

I surprised my fiance with a stay here at the Welsh Hills Inn for his birthday. We stayed in the Brynmor Queen Luxe Suite and it exceeded my expectations! Bobbi and Jeff had everything set up for the surprise which included roses, champagne and a delicious cake. We were able to play bocce ball, hike the gorgeous property and enjoy wine on the front porch with Wrigley & Ellie. Jeff made a delectable meal for us and Bobbi always made sure we were taken care of. We felt so very welcomed and comfortable during our stay. We will be back for another relaxing visit. “Exquisite Surprise for my 30th!”

5 on May 04, 2017

My husband was assigned to plan our 30th and would not tell me where we were going until I read the sign myself after arriving. The Welsh Inn proved my husband knew me. Bobbi, Jeff, Ellie, and Wrigley have the gift of hospitality. Breathtaking scenery. Attention to detail. Cultured Environment. Intellectually Stimulating...Books, Art, History and Beautifully Decorated. You won't be disappointed. Ahava and Shalom, Fran and Herman Ransom. Canal Fulton, OH.

I stayed at the Welsh Hills Inn over Easter weekend and was greeted by the owners two lovely dogs near the driveway and felt like I was home,I met Bobbi as she came out and welcomed me and helped me with my bags and gave me a tour of there amazing home, the house is huge and bright and clean, the first thing I noticed was all of the interesting paintings and collectables that filled the house, there was always something neat to look at,I stayed in the Brynmor Queen Suite on the bottom floor and it was perfect for me, from the huge living room to the very comfortable bed, it was spotless and filled with family photos and antiques, the property was awesome!,I took advantage of the hiking trails and walks with there dogs and sat on the patio in the evening drinking lemonade. The Welsh Hills in is very close to the center of Granville, after sightseeing around the area I had dinner in town then would walk it off after getting back to the property,I sat by the fountain they had and got to see some interesting birds on the trails, in the evening on my last night I sat by the pool and was amazed at how pretty the property looked at night with everything lit up. I like to personally thank Bobbi and Jeff for making my weekend perfect, from giving me information about good places to eat and visit to filling up my water bottle everyday and leaving ice cold water and chocolates in my room in the evening, you went above and beyond to make me feel at home and I thank you!

Inn Love with the Inn!

5 on March 07, 2017

My husband and I feel like this is our own private destination for peace, tranquility, great company, unbelieveable art and the most wonderful hosts ever, Bobbi and Jeff. We just enjoyed our third visit, and every stay is fabulous. We stay in Derwin Del and it's cozy and beautiful. We go to read, talk, walk and enjoy some of the best breakfasts we have ever had. I can't say enough wonderful things about Welsh Hills. We feel like we've known Bobbi and Jeff forever and love Ellie and Wrigley, too. I can't wait to return!

Country Elegance

5 on February 07, 2017

We started thinking of a return visit upon entering the beautiful and welcoming home. Bobbi and Jeff are the perfect hosts. The Inn is immaculate with wonderful art and antiques to admire. Our suite was gorgeous with great care and attention given to every detail imaginable. Ellie and Wrigley became our special canine friends. Breakfast was a gourmet's dream. The elegantly appointed table overlooked the scenic grounds as we watched deer run about. Fresh squeezed orange juice began what was THE best breakfast we ever had. Jeff's omelets were the best ever. Bobbi's recommendation of the black raspberry jam with a hint of lemon made locally was a perfect sweet accompaniment. We are so fortunate to have found this hidden gem! Stayed February 2017

This place is delightful in every way. The thoughtful details of the Inn were a joy to experience! Delicious loose leaf teas, excellent breakfast and coffee, beautiful and unique decorations, and the just an overall cozy feel make this place one you will HAVE to visit again. Bobbi, Jeff, Ellie and Wrigley were also the most thoughtful hosts! I'm so glad my mom, sister and I got to spend quality time together in this tranquil spot.

Anniversary Celebration at The Welsh Hills Inn

5 on January 30, 2017

This was our first visit to The Welsh Hills Inn, and we are so glad we chose this amazing retreat to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary. Bobbi and Jeff were gracious hosts, and truly have every detail covered to ensure an unforgettable experience. Our room was beautiful, the bed was comfortable and the rest of the grounds were breathtaking. And although it was the middle of winter, we took full advantage of the outdoor hot tub, relaxed in the cozy pool house and felt right at home with Ellie and Wrigley always there to greet us. In addition, all of the food during our stay was fabulous! I'm glad we chose to stay in and have Jeff prepare us a candlelight dinner as part of our weekend. The Inn exceeded our expectations - thank you Bobbi and Jeff!

5 on January 29, 2017

Imagine a cozy, beautiful Bed and Breafast. I bet it would be like The Welsh Hills Inn. The INN was surrounded by breathtaking countryside. My daughters and I had a wonderful time together. We took advantage of learning how to shoot a handgun, with Jeff as our instructor. Later in the evening, we relaxed in the hot tub spa! Bobbi and Jeff have thought of everything to make you comfortable. Granville was close by with some awesome restaurants!! I'll be back asap! Thank you so much Bobbi and Jeff!

Another Great Stay

5 on January 29, 2017

This is our 5th stay at the Welsh Hills In and it's special every time! We look forward to staying in the same room we did the first time each time we go. It's become 'our' room-- comfortable and cozy and a welcome retreat from the daily grind. We always enjoy a delicious dinner at the Inn--Jeff's cooking is incredible and every bite hits the spot and Bobbi is attentive always to our needs! Inevitably, the evening will be spent sipping wine and playing chess while enjoying the fire and the fabulous collection of art. Bobbi and Jeff are amazing hosts--always warm, welcoming and happy to make your stay one to remember. Their passion for the Inn and for providing an experience second to none is evident in every way! This is a find we will enjoy for many years to come! We'll be back again soon!

Peace in the Ohio Countryside

5 on January 24, 2017

Fabulous seems an inadequate description. Before you even reach the inn you'll be struck by the property -- its shear size, the surrounding forest, the pond (stocked by the way if you wish to fish) with a fountain. The building and decor are beautiful - artifacts in every room and hall. There are more amenities than usually seen at B&B - outdoor swimming pool and pool house, hot tub, table tennis, walking trails, extensive porches with wonderful views. Now for what really matters. When you stay at a B&B, more than anything, I think, you are renting your hosts. Bobbi and Jeff are tremendous hosts. They make you feel right at home (better, really - you don't have to cook here). They are so warm and welcoming, you won't want to leave. They think of the little things that indicate how much they care about their guests - wine and cheese in the evening, chocolates in your room. They want your stay to be as wonderful as you do. If you're anywhere in the central Ohio area this is the place to stay.

My new favorite place

5 on January 23, 2017

I discovered this little gem of a bed and breakfast when I needed an overnight stay after dropping my daughter off at Denison University. Immediately i was charmed by this cute home on the hill with beautiful surrounding grounds. Their darling dogs, Ellie and Wrigley, greeted us and showed us to the front door. Meeting Bobbi and Jeff, the owners, felt like seeing old friends again.Everything about the home was just lovely....the clean spacious rooms, the cozy sitting area with fireplace, the beautifully soft linens ( loved the pillows) and a delicious breakfast in the morning. Loved it all! I can't wait to go back....It truly feels like home away from home:-)

5 on January 18, 2017

My wife and I enjoyed another visit to this incredible B&B! We stayed here back in 2015 and couldn't wait to return for what proved to be another amazing stay! The Inn Keepers provide the most genuine, heartwarming hospitality that you could ever wish for and the cuisine is nothing short of 5 STARS!! It felt like we had returned home for a family visit when we arrived back at this beautiful property and we left there feeling relaxed and looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Bobbi & Jeff for another unforgettable visit to your beautiful Bed & Breakfast!! We will see you again!

Amazing Omelets and cozy wood burning fireplace.

5 on January 16, 2017

This BnB offers a cozy home nestled in the Welsh hills of Granville. The country setting is beautiful and the wood burning fireplace was warm and inviting on a winters night and morning. The breakfast served was top notch and I have never had a better Omelet. We were able to choose the type of Omelet we wanted and it was made to perfection.

Now an annual holiday tradition!

5 on January 03, 2017

My wife and I spent New Year's weekend at the Welsh Hills Inn after visiting last year just before Christmas. This is likely to become an annual trip. Bobbi and Jeff are delightful hosts and the property is just amazing! Breakfasts will make even the seasoned gourmet drool! Just sitting by the fireplace with the four footed hosts Ellie and Rigley was a great way to relax. We took advantage of the couples massage during our stay. Wonderful experience once again. Worth the visit! Jon & Leslie Logan, Hilliard, OH

Relaxation, Antiques, Comfort!

5 on January 03, 2017

My husband and I spent our NYE weekend here and it was the perfect way to ring in the new year. After finding out we are expecting, this was the cherry on top to finishing out 2016 and beginning a new year. The food, service and overall space was just outstanding. There is no other way to describe the atmosphere. Still decorated for Christmas, it kept us in a jolly mood. We were always finding something new to look at. We enjoyed nothing more than cuddling with their dogs by the warm fire. Thank you Bobbi and Jeff for hosting us in your beautiful home. We cannot wait to come back... hopefully for our babymoon!

Winter Wonderland

We were treated to a lovely evening at the Inn. Upon arrival, we felt right at home. The inn is absolutely gorgeous! We felt welcomed and were treated fabulously. Wrigley, one of their dogs made our evening by the fire. This is truly a special place.

Beautiful B & B and Resort

5 on July 29, 2016

Bobbi & Jeff, the owners and hosts truly love what they do. The house, grounds and amenities reflect how passionate they are about creating a truly private, memorable and premier retreat, resort and get away B & B. The house contains an amazing display of art, books and other interesting pieces in several spacious and inviting rooms. The wrap around deck overlooks the picturesque 15 acres of grounds. The property includes walking paths through the woods, a swimming pool, a hot tub, pool house, a private shooting range, hammocks, seating around a fire pit and other additional activities and amenities which are too numerous to mention.(see Everything is meticulously maintained. Breakfast is a delicious work of art with the freshest of ingredients We also enjoyed the late afternoon wine and cheese that was offered, relaxing in the rocking chairs on the deck. Several things I would highly recommend – 1. Extend your stay to at least 2 days. One day is simply not enough! Plan to stay at the inn with minimal out trips. 2. If available, arrange for a private dinner on the porch. Dinner was absolutely superb (prepared by Jeff). We had the grilled pork chop, grilled chicken, grilled asparagus, and spinach salad. Our only regret was that we were too full to eat everything. But take home was an added perk (nicely wrapped as foil swans!) 3. The three rooms upstairs are very nice and convey a warm and homey Bed and Breakfast environment. The private suite downstairs is simply magnificent. Your own private suite- complete with soaking tub, steam shower, private porch…etc ..I could go on and on !!! Suffice it to say that all the reviews on the Welsh Hills Inn are spot on. A wonderful create your own getaway…that will have you hating to leave and wanting to return ! Cat & Al

Heaven on Earth

5 on July 04, 2016

As avid travelers we have found something here at Welch Inn that we cherish and want everyone to experience. It's truly a piece of heaven in the best little town you could imagine. Jeff & Bobbi are amazing hosts. They love their guests and you truly feel like friends when you leave. There home is an oasis you need to stay at at least 3 nights to enjoy everything it offers. If your standards are high, you'll not be disappointed. The fine linens from Frontgate keep you from wanting to get out of bed. Jeffs breakfast gets you up. The joy of being greeted by Ellie and Wrigley each morning. Just peace. That's all you feel. Relaxed, spoiled, and a day of no agenda. Truly the best getaway we have found. Book in advance. You won't regret it.

Wonderful Oasis

5 on July 09, 2015

This was 4th trip back to Welsh Hills Inn and just when we thought it couldn't get any better it did! Wonderful pool, hot tub, bocce ball, fire pit... I could go on and on. Bobbi and Jeff are wonderful and see to it that you have everything you want. We can't wait to go back next year. And the pictures do not do it justice, it's a gorgeous oasis

Can't Wait to Go Back!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Welsh Hills Inn for one night and truly enjoyed the experience. From the moment we parked our car and was welcomed by Ellie, a very friendly golden retriever to the last when we left, we knew that this place was special. Comfortable rooms, beautiful surroundings and very thoughtful hosts. Thanks Bobbie and Jeff! We will be back.

The Welsh Hills Inn Surpasses all Bed & Breakfasts

5 on August 22, 2014

Our three day stay in July was amazing. The room was very comfortable, coffee was available, wine available at night and snacks were set aside. My wife and I met with very pleasant guests and had breakfast out on the porch while the sun rose over the rolling hills and trees. In the morning, there was a sunlit mist in the air, and we took our coffee outside to watch the wonder of its surrounding woods and lawns. Deer would cross the field below and stop to look up at us, as we stood on the porch, sipping our coffee, watching them. At night we came out to watch the sun set over the hills, sipping a red wine, which we were unsure was native to California or France. We were swept away in the serenity of the place and time we were in. The food was magnificent. Jeff was the chef, and he made sure there was enough food. Bobbi served us, checking on each guest personally, My wife was on a strict, physician-ordered diet, and Jeff and Bobbi made sure her meals were up to the specifications laid out in the diet. While other B&Bs gave her less to eat, Jeff made sure she received more to eat of what she was allowed to eat. What also was impressive was the layout of the downstairs den and living room, with several glass doors showing all of nature outside. It was nice to sit down in this area of the Inn and read a good classic for the simple pleasure of literary solitude. The pool was wonderful, and we spent two hours swimming in the late afternoon before retiring to our rooms to anticipate yet another day at the Inn. Late one night, watching the stars, we made up our minds to visit the Inn again. It was like being in another place and time, away from the pressures and stress from our jobs. We were able, for this brief three day get-away, to forget about family or job issues, and do what is needed the most. To break away and relax to a time and place where troubles are forgotten and pleasures are simple, at least for a while. Steve and Deb Spencer

5 on November 12, 2013

We selected the Inn for a birthday get-away, after reading the great comments on-line. Even after reading the rave reviews, everything far exceeded our expectations. The property is perfect for an inn, and has been beautifully decorated. Every where we looked there was an interesting object, or a lovely piece of art. It's the perfect combination of lovely, warm and comfortable. Our room was spotless, had plenty of space, and many thoughtful details. Bobbi and Jeff are in the right business! Their hospitality was also perfect. They are gracious, and warm, and accommodating without being invasive. Every suggestion they gave us for places to visit was great. The food was delicious! We loved both breakfasts, and hardly needed lunch either day. The wine and cheese, and evening treats were all great too. Loose-leaf tea and are available all the time, and the specialty loose leaf teas were a real treat. We enjoyed seeing Denison's campus, browsing the shops in Granville, and walking the Inn's property as well as Denison's bio preserve, which is just minutes from the Inn. Don't miss the Village Toffee if you are there at the right time of year. Best ever! We like to stay at inns or b and b's when we travel, and The Welsh Hills Inn really shines in every way. We highly recommend it, and hope to return too! Thanks again, Bobbi and Jeff!

Wonderful Stay

5 on November 02, 2013

We recently visited the Welsh Hills Inn for a fall get-away weekend (two-night stay). Everything was outstanding. The hosts, Bobbi & Jeff, were very friendly and helpful. The inn is a big house situated just outside Granville, Ohio (just east of Columbus). The artwork in the house is amazing. When we were there the leaves were just starting to turn and the weather was delightful. A little too cool to use the pool, but the pool was still open had we wanted to take advantage of it. The room was spacious and very inviting. Even the linens and mattress were top drawer! The breakfast was great both days, and we enjoyed the company of the other guests. To top it off, the hosts' dog greeted us as we drove in and kept us company much of our stay, making it easier for us because we had to leave our dogs at home. This is probably the best B&B experience we have had, and we will likely return!

5 on September 16, 2013

We only stayed for one day ,but wished we had stayed longer. Beautiful home, we have stayed in many B&B 's and this was by far one of the best. We was on our way from Michigan to Hocking Hills for our 40 th Anniversary . Perfect start, from the wine and cheese happy hour to dinner in Granville that Jeff recommended for us. The morning walk in the trails with deer to greet us to the wonderful breakfast. We just loved it . Left with 2 gift certificates for Christmas gifts. Oh can't forget Ellie she was so sweet.

Very special!

5 on September 08, 2013

The Welsh Hills Inn is a wonderful find. We have spend many weekends over the years, in Bed and Breakfast locations in the US and Europe. This is a special place. The home is located in the rolling hills outside Granville, Ohio. The home is beautifully appointed and accented with a remarkable art collection. The hosts (Jeff and Bobbi) are warm, and welcoming. They make you feel right at home. We have now been there on 2 occasions, and have already scheduled several more return trips.

5 on December 10, 2012

What a wonderful find! We were only there a short while but the ambience, comfort, and tasteful art collection was outstanding. The breakfast on Sunday morning was akin to being in a high quality restaurant. We loved our stay. Joe and Lynette Fioroni

Wonderful surprize

5 on August 14, 2012

It was so nice to see all the extras that are available to the guests. The owners truly thought about what the guest could want and they took care of it. I was also happy to see that the rooms were gender neutral, both of us felt welcome and you can not find a cleaner inn to stay in. Spotless but still welcoming. The town is a great getaway for the day. We will definitely be back to visit the owners and the wonderful Miss Elly, their beautiful and friendly golden retriever. She is around if you want her to be and out of sight if you do not want her there. I can guarantee you will enjoy your stay here.

They, by far, exceed expecations. Don't look any further - BOOK NOW!

5 on August 12, 2012

We booked this B&B for our 11th Anniversary and the owners Bobbie and Jeff were very accommodating, friendly, and generous. Their home is immaculate, which features an extensive quality art collection, a nicely appointed home on 11 acres with a heated pool. We stayed in their spacious Grande Suite which was well worth the money and featured a bathroom that exceeds most 5 star hotels. We will definitely book this B&B again. Also it's only 3 minutes from Granville, OH which is an amazing historic town with plenty of restaurants and shops. We only drove 30 minutes from Columbus, but felt like it was a luxurious vacation that was much further away from home!

I would highly recommend this B&B. Only B&B I've seen that has a pool and poolhouse. Owners are so nice, the family dog is sweet and welcoming. Jeff's omelet is sooooo, sooooo, good, besst ever. Granville is a neat little town with lots of fun shops and eateries.

Best B&B EVER!!

5 on April 30, 2012

This B&B is incredible. It is absolutely lovely year round. We stayed in December and again in mid April. Can't wait to come back in the Fall. The hospitality of Bobbi and Jeff is unsurpassable!! Best omelet ever too!!

Wonderful Week-end Getaway!

5 on February 24, 2012

My wife and I just spend a wonderful Valentine's day week-end at the Welsh Hills Inn and were delighted with the place. The food and service were excellent; the inn was decorated beautifully and tastefully, and the woodland setting magnificent. We would heartily recommend the inn to our friends and family.

Only Five Stars?

5 on February 16, 2012

This exquisite home, set in magnificent surroundings, has an understated elegance that is rarely found, even at the best inns and bed and breakfasts. It is obvious that a great deal of time and thought was put into every detail, from the artwork and furniture to the beds, sheets and pillows. Adding to that the fabulous breakfasts, the evening wine, the selection of teas and the treats that mysteriously appeared in our room when we decided to retire for the night, we could not have asked for a more perfect place to come for a few days of total relaxation. We felt at home as soon as we walked in the door and our hosts, Bobbi and Jeff, only added to that feeling with their warmth, their friendship and their helpfulness in making sure that our every need was met. Since we live too far away for a one-night visit, we are already looking at the calendar for a few days when we can return for another stay. MS and D

Fantastic Visit

5 on January 28, 2012

My wife and I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Welsh Hills Inn to celebrate our anniversary. From the moment we arrived we were overwhelmed with both the elegance of the Inn and the warmth of its proprietors-Bobbi and Jeff Noe. Our accommodations were impeccable. The food was outstanding. We look forward to many future visits and highly recommend the Welsh Hills Inn to anyone who would like to enjoy a relaxing stay in a beautiful atmosphere.

overnight getaway

5 on January 26, 2012

what a pleasant experience. My husband and I found the Welsh Hills Inn absolutely perfect for a quick overnight stay. As a matter of fact, were disappointed that we didn't have more time to enjoy the wonderful amenities that were offered. The hospitality and warmth of Jeff and Bobbie was great. We felt so at home. Needless to say, we enjoyed every aspect of our stay including the afternoon tea, the wine, crackers and cheese by the fire and the deliciouse snack at bedtime. We couldn't have been more pleased with every aspect of our stay. It topped even the Ritz Carlton. Definitely a 5 star rating. By the way, Jeff makes an awesome veg. omelet for breakfast. Awesome place to begin the New Year!

5 on January 23, 2012

We were looking for a place to get away and relax from the busyness of family and work and to make plans for the new year. This place far exceeded what we expected at a B&B. The owners, Jeff & Bobbi thought of every detail and made our stay here excellent. Everything from the decorating, breakfast, cozy fire, comfortable and private places to sit and talk, and beautiful scenery. We will definitely be back to The Welsh Hills Inn!

A Beautiful inn with service and ambiance beyond expectations!

5 on January 22, 2012

After a long search for a bed and breakfast, my wife and I chose to stay at the Welch Hills Inn for a short 10th anniversary getaway. My wife and I are very particular about everything from ambiance to cleanliness. The Welch Hills Inn was beyond our expectations on all levels. The inn maintained numerous aspects of charm and coziness. The fireside wine and personally crafted breakfast were both outstanding! The hosts were both welcoming, friendly, and attentive to every need. A 2-3" snow was a nice bonus for the view, as well as a reminder of our wedding day 10 years ago! This was our first stay, but not last!

Absolutely Amazing!!

5 on October 09, 2011

The inn and the grounds it sits on are absolutely meticulous and beautiful! Jeff & Bobbie were an absolute pleasure and completely accommodating! My wife & I had never been to a B&B before and we can't imagine a single B&B ever being able to exceed the experience we had at The Welsh Hills Inn!!!! The rooms are warm & inviting, and the decor and artwork is just excellent. Even though every room was booked the night we were there, we always felt like we had our own private space and hardly even saw the other patrons. There are just so many areas to sit and relax and to forget about all the worries of day to day life. What am amazing experience!

Finding gold in the Welsh Hills!

5 on September 04, 2011

There is gold in the Welsh Hills! B & B gold! The Welsh Hills Inn is an exceptional inn. We visited for a week. I’ll tell you about 4 aspects – wonderful hosts, picturesque location, beautiful facilities, & great breakfasts. First, the hosts, Bobbi & Jeff Noe, are two of the nicest folks in Ohio. They are very friendly, helpful and caring – really genuine human beings. They know what people who stay at B&Bs want & give it abundantly. I cannot leave out their golden retriever. Ellie is a real sweetheart of a dog & one of the best trained dogs ever! We were well taken care of by the entire family. Second, the location of the inn is great! It is situated on top of a hill surrounded by wooded hills. To reach the inn, we drove winding roads thru the most picturesque countryside. If you’re concerned the inn is too far from Granville, don’t worry. It is not far or time consuming. But the payoff is significant! As we drove, I could feel myself relaxing. Once we got to the inn, the winding drive up the hill past the pond & meadows to the house reinforced my feelings. I enjoyed watching the sun come up over the hills. Once four deer were grazing in the meadow. This is an enchanted place! Third, the inn is beautiful & comfortable. The inn has porches with rocking chairs & a table for breakfast when weather permits. Bobbi & Jeff have decorated the inn beautifully with art works collected over 25 years. The rooms are spacious & furnished with high quality furniture, bedding, etc. Technology is a given. The big screens have everything available including satellite radio channels. Fourth, breakfasts are great! Bobbi & Jeff focus on healthy breakfasts with right kinds of bread, fresh fruit, etc. Breakfasts are wonderful experiences here! I recommend the Welsh Hills Inn enthusiastically. We have traveled widely for a long time. Even though the inn has been operating about a year, I predict it will end up on a Best B&B list very soon.

Perfect for families

5 on July 25, 2011

We were in the Granville area for one week visiting friends and the Inn was the perfect home base for us during that time. We stayed in two spacious rooms (one king for my husband and me, one queen + twin rollaway for my two kids) connected by a jack-and-jill bathroom. Everything was very comfortable, clean, updated, charming and tastefully decorated. Each morning we were greeted by Jeff and Bobbi as well as a delicious breakfast that included anything from fresh fruit to French toast. We also enjoyed spending time exploring the various areas of the property like the duck pond and the oh-so-inviting pool. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed a stay at this unique, inviting B&B. Perfect for anyone visiting the Columbus area.

Wish I had stayed longer!

Can't say enough good things about my experience at this inn! Beautifully appointed, spacious room with a private full bath next door, excellent breakfast and evening snack, plenty of privacy indoors and out, and the most beautifully manicured grounds ever, with views of rolling hills all around. Bobbi and Jeff were very helpful and attentive as well. I would recommend this inn very highly to other single women with business in the Columbus area, or just looking for a perfect vacation getaway.

The Welsh Hills Inn - our new favorite Bed and Breakfast!

5 on July 12, 2011

What an AMAZING experience we had this weekend at the Welsh Hills Inn! 5 stars don't seem to be enough to describe this bed and breakfast. We were visiting the area for a wedding near Columbus and wanted a place away from the city where we could relax a bit. We stumbled on their website and are so glad we did! Bobbi and Jeff are the absolute best hosts. They anticipated and exceeded our every need and expectation. Their home and property are beautifully and comfortably decorated and inviting. I don't know what we enjoyed more - relaxing in our beautiful room, enjoying the spectacular mornings in the fabulous rockers and dining on made to order breakfasts on the lovely front porch, or soaking up the sun and enjoying the delicious snacks by the beautiful pool. We are already telling all of our friends to check out their website and we plan to visit again in the fall, and then the winter and then the spring! Thank you, Bobbie and Jeff. You made us feel like family!

For Business or Pleasure, You Won't Go Wrong Here....

5 on June 15, 2011

Absolutely my favorite place to stay when I travel on business to the area - as well as one of my favorite places to travel anywhere when I'm out on business. What a wonderful Inn - no better bed & breakfast or place to stay at in Granville or the Central Ohio area. The amenities are superb and the owners have travelled the world and know how to make your stay just memorable. Luxurious, comfortable bedding, beautiful original artwork, nice sized rooms, HDTV, high-speed wireless Internet, incredible breakfasts, terrific pool, and wonderful common areas to enjoy. The owners will even prepare wonderful dinners for you if requested in advance. The gorgeous grounds that surround the Inn are spectacular with duck ponds, hiking trails, woods, mature trees, and beautiful annual & perennial flowers blooming everywhere. Unlike several other accommodations in the area located on busy, heavily trafficked highways, The Welsh Hills Inn is located in a peaceful location in the rolling, wooded Welsh Hills countryside on quiet Cambria Mill Road. Fun, enjoyable, memorable - just always a pleasure. Prepare to be pampered during your stay to The Welsh Hills Inn!

The Best Place to Stay in Granville or Central Ohio!

5 on June 15, 2011

I have traveled extensively on business and have stayed in many wonderful hotels and Inns around the world. I have found The Welsh Hills Inn B&B to be my home away from home and my absolute favorite place to stay in Granville, Ohio. Every room at the Inn has exceptional charm and character but is, also, very comfortable and inviting. The owners and proprietors of the Inn are terrific hosts and great conversationalists. Their hospitality and warmth makes you feel more like a member of the family than merely a brief guest. Because of my work schedule, I tend to arrive at the Inn late in the evening only to find a wonderful glass of wine ready to be served and a beautifully decorated formal living room (or a comfortable chair around the pool) to unwind, relax, and enjoy a good conversation. The Bedwen Bach guest room is private, spacious and extremely comfortable bedroom full of antiques and with all the facilities you will find in the best hotels and the ambience of the finest château. The evening is followed by a picture-perfect, home cooked breakfast, prepared at your time of preference, in a candle-lit breakfast room, or out on the wonderful covered brick porch, overlooking the rolling hills of their 15-acre manicured property. The Welsh Hills Inn is truly an elegant bed and breakfast where you can experience the comforts of a farm vacation home and a chance to “get away from it all.”

Warm and welcoming

We made a late arrival just before 6 p.m. and were greeted in the driveway by Jeff who took our bags in for us and then got a wine and cheese tray ready while we toured the house with his wife Bobbie. The home is just lovely. Furnished with antiques and art. There is an in ground pool. (Too cold for us to enjoy, but looks very inviting) There is even a pool house with a little fireplace, tv and comfy chairs to curl up and watch movies. Jeff and Bobbie were very helpful in making dinner suggestions and even brought us cookies and fruit when we returned. Breakfast was delicious and very filling. The views from the dining room window were so nice and sunny. A perfect place to get away and relax.

Gracious, lovely inn. Felt welcomed and pampered from the moment we arrived.

5 on April 19, 2011

The inn is simply lovely - beautifully appointed with a stunning art collection. Breakfasts served either in the sunny morning nook, or in the larger tall-ceilinged dining room, were also works of art - both to the eye and the palate. A special pleasure were the rich conversations with the hosts and other guests each evening which were accompanied by excellent glasses of wine. For maximum privacy choose either the Bedwen Bach room or the Colomen Gwen Room, both in the Cottage wing. For a feeling of being more "of the home", the Derwen Del room with its at-the-top of the stairs reading area is perfect. This will be our staying-place in Granville from now on as we visit our daughter at Denison.

Exceptional Bed & Breakfast...First Class in Every Way

5 on February 16, 2011

From my first conversation on the telephone with Bobbi, and throughout our stay, we were made to feel extremely welcomed. There is a warmth at the Inn that extends well beyond the walls of this beautiful home. The accommodations are lovely; our breakfast was made exactly as we like and served in an open dining area overlooking a breathtaking view; the wine and cheese set out for us shortly after our arrival were delicious and we were pleasantly surprised when we returned from our evening out to find our bed had been turned down and fresh cookies, as well as flowers, were waiting for us on the stand beside our bed : ) It was apparent the owners take genuine pleasure in making your stay a memorable experience. We plan to return with our families in the summer to enjoy the beautiful pool and pool house, the wraparound porch and serene, lush countryside.

When can we go back?

5 on January 31, 2011

We drove on a late Friday afternoon, and the scenery around Granville is beautiful. There had been snow, so the fields, trees, and homes were covered with a white blanket. It felt so peaceful as we made our way up the driveway, past the paddock and up to their gorgeous home on top of the hill. .The beauty of the outside of the home is matched by the beauty inside the home. Every room is filled with original artwork and collectibles. The innkeepers, Bobbie and Jeff Noe, are fantastic hosts. What impresses me is the attention to detail and the little things they did to make our visit more pleasant - ice water waiting for us in our rooms each evening was most welcome. The wine and cheese each evening was a special treat. I also appreciated their concern for my allergies - my husband had let them know about my down allergies as well as my food allergies. I never had to worry. The breakfasts were delicious and filling. Each morning we had a different main course, but the true treat was that they made chocolate chip and coconut pancakes for my birthday. My husband had mentioned it when we first arrived - that he made them for me - so they decided to give it a try. Yum! In fact, they were even better, because they were served with fresh raspberries and cream. Our hosts recommended some great places to visit and shared with us some good choices for dinner. We loved Nona in Granville as well as the Chop House in Newark, where we saw John Hiatt and Lyle Lovett play at the Midland Theatre. We shopped at the Grand View Mercantile, where we found two sets of amazing glasses and the really big find: a red leather chair and ottoman. The chair and ottoman are Reid Leather, and retail for about 3k total. We bought them for such a bargain I'm ashamed to mention it here.

Simply Magical....

5 on January 18, 2011

We recently had the pleasure of spending a wonderful winter weekend at The Welsh Hills Inn. Two words describe this bed & breakfast, the property, and the owners, Bobbi and Jeff - "Simply Magical". They arranged dinner reservations for us, set-up a private, horse-drawn carriage ride, had roaring fires in the Gathering Room and the Trem Pell Studio waiting for us when we returned. Gorgeous, comfortably-inviting antiques and incredible artwork are everywhere you turn. We even had our wonderful breakfast by candlelight! What a relaxing and utterly enjoyable weekend. We cannot recommend The Welsh Hills Inn highly enough. Treat yourself to your own, private getaway in Granville - and it's so easy to get there from the Greater Columbus area! We can't wait to return in the Spring with friends and introduce them to The Inn.

Welsh Hills Inn is easily the nicest B&B we've stayed in!

5 on January 06, 2011

To say we were pleasantly surprised by the Welsh Hills Inn is an understatement. Jeff and Bobbi are so accomodating and the property is immaculate. You could easily spend a day relaxing at the Inn, perusing their art collection, and touring the grounds. Just wonderful!

What a wonderful stay!

5 on January 03, 2011

Took my wife to the Welsh Hills Inn for a weekend get away and had an amazing experience! Our hosts, Jeff & Bobbi Noe, greeted us upon arrival and we soon felt like members of their family. Our room was comfortable and cozy and we could have spent the entire time there until the scents of a home cooked meal beckoned us downstairs. The property is immaculately maintained and its obvious the Noe's love what they do. The Welsh Hills Inn will no doubt become an annual tradition for my wife and me.

What a treat!

I have stayed at quite a few B&B's all around the country and this one is by far one of the best. Between the hosts, the setting, and the amenities it's just a comfortable place to be. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay. DG

Thought she had died and gone to heaven...

When my sister came to visit from out of state, we treated her to a night at the Welsh Hills Inn. She still talks about the experience and can't wait to stay again. To sum up her visit, she commented "I thought I died and went to heaven ... it was fabulous!" It truly is a place like none other - the views, the decor, the art work, and outstanding breakfast and really nice owners!
