Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay surrounded by beauty, comfort, and kindness. The type of place that makes you a little sad to leave.... Just wishing you had a little more time to stay a little longer.... Richard, the owner and Inn Keeper is just a jewel. Such nice company after a long drive, which was my case. Breakfast was great, so were the rooms - VERY comfortable beds! The house is BEAUTIFUL! Places like these make me keep going back to B&B's instead of hotels..... and I travel a LOT. I will always stay here when I come back to Cleveland - Can't wait to be back! Carolina L

Common areas very welcoming. Fascinating place with architectural history. Our owner/host was a wonderful and attentive host. Helpful but not intrusive with our group.

October 9, 2013 This is a wonderful place to stay. Our only regret is not being able to stay longer. It is beautiful, comfortable, quiet, very clean & intriguing. We've stayed in a few B&B places over the years but Stone Gables by far surpasses them all. We enjoyed walking through the house as there was so much to see & admire. We took a walk down the street which was quite an adventure to see all of the old homes with so much character. There is a very interesting looking haunted house in the same block. Richard, the innkeeper, made us feel very welcome & makes delicious french toast. We hope to return & try the chocolate waffles next time. Jim & Jackie from Michigan

Great host, great B&B. We had a wonderful two night stay in Cleveland, and Richard was a magnificent host. Rooms were well appointed, and the house is amazing - many nooks and cranies, with lots of history. Excellent breakfast, Great coffee (Richard's special blend!). Would definitely stay again.

Stone Gables was a perfect fit for our stay in Cleveland while visiting our daughter. Just a few streets from where she lives, we were pleasantly surprised with the location. Our Innkeeper Richard made us feel at home and served the most delicious breakfast! We would recommend Stone Gables to everyone.

I found Stone Gables online, went to the website, explored the whole place and I was sold on it being a great way to spend several days in Cleveland. I had no idea how good it would be. The exterior is epic. Old world look surrounded by lush gardens. The first step inside I thought of home, the smell of Apple/Cinnamon, classic furniture / carpet in a dimly lit hallway and the piano, decor, design and art work completed a very upscale place to stay. We stayed in the Red Room. Everything in the room made feel less like guests and more like family. Having our own bathroom added to an already great beginning. The bed was high quality as were the linens. We slept soundly. Breakfast the next morning was homemade by Richard personally for us and it was delish. Then he sat and ate with us and gave us great tips on things to do in Cleveland. We followed his tips and had a wonderful time. Richard defines what a perfect host is. He treated us like his family and when we come back we will look at no other place as this was the best travel experience we've had.

A FABULOUS B&B with a very nice innkeeper who makes a fabulous breakfast from fresh, local ingredients. Richard was very helpful & accommodating. For lunch and dinner you are just a few minutes from outstanding restaurants on nearby Bridge street. Bring a cooler if you want to visit the Westside Market for taking home fresh seafood, meats, cheeses & produce. We stayed in the family friendly room with 2 teenage/adult children. One word to sum up our experience...Perfect!

It was with a little bit of luck that we ended up staying at this one, as we had contacted 3 others in the city and all were full, but we are really glad we ended up at this one! The property is beautiful, there is actually parking in the back which we noticed the others did not have as we passed by them on our way, the room was clean, there was plenty of hot water, the location was convenient to nearby dining, the owner is very helpful and accommodating. We are looking for excuses to come back to Cleveland so we can stay here again!
