Elysian Place LLC is centrally located in Uptown. Walk to the University of Cincinnati. Close to downtown. Sit on the front porch and enjoy the expansive view overlooking Over the Rhine (OTR), with downtown beyond. In spite of the urban setting, Elysian Place is in a quiet, secluded neighborhood. Enjoy the large front lawn, surrounded by woods. Our house is an 1880's three story Victorian, lovingly restored to include all modern amenities, including central air. We accept only one party of up to six people each night. Enjoy complete privacy in the three third floor bedrooms. Guests are encouraged to make themselves at home on the first floor and around the grounds.

My sweetheart surprised me with a night at this beautiful bed and breakfast! The home and grounds are absolutely phenomenal and the view is incredible! My man and I will definitely stay again if we are ever in the area.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home that is so conveniently located to all that you would want to do in Cincinnati. Jan and Chip were gracious hosts and made my wife and me feel right at home. We would not hesitate to visit again in the future.

Stayed here three times now. First visit we took our daughter to audition for CCM, then parent orientation, and third to take our daughter to start college. Jan and Chip are wonderful hosts. Grateful for their hospitality. Their home makes you feel like your in the countryside in a bustling city college campus. My favorite highlights of this oasis: front porch, view of Cincinnati, and breakfast solarium.

Elysian Place is lovingly restored with wonderful detail. My girls and I spent much of our time wondering the rooms of the house admiring its beauty, Jan and Chip were very attentive and helpful hosts. They even sent an e-mail with suggestions for dining and sites in the area prior to our visit. It was very conveniently located to many areas. We felt comfortable just hanging out when we needed to relax. Because the book only one party at a time, we had our bedrooms and the main floor to ourselves. A great place to stay.

My honey and I were going to the Cincinnati Music Festival and all of the surrounding hotels were either booked or over priced. We decided to try something different and researched the Bed and Breakfast accommodations in the area. This quaint place is right in the middle of everything, but tucked away!!! It has a beautiful view of downtown and only minutes away. The location was nearby the relatives which was a plus! The owners, Chip and Jan, were pleasantly personable. They made sure we were comfortable, well fed and aware of our surroundings. The setting was so serene, we were relaxed from the moment we parked until the moment we left. There were so many perks!!! We look forward to having this experience again!

Elysian Place is truly outstanding. Jan and Chip's home is magnificent and they couldn't be lovelier. We stayed at their home for our daughters UC graduation and it was perfect. Our two adult sons stayed in one room and we in another and we shared a bathroom. It was so nice to be a family in their home. Brunch was delightful as were all their extra amenities. My only suggestion to Jan and Chip would be to be neutral politically. The sign on their front lawn defined them and that shouldn't be.

For several decades, Chip and Jan owned and operated Cincinnati Woodworks, a commercial architectural woodworking business. Thus they were able to do a proper professional restoration of their grand 1880's Victorian home. Now that they are retired, they have opened their home to the public as a B&B.
