The Gazebo Inn at Ogunquit was a superb experience from start to finish. Upon check in my husband and myself received a full grounds tour, and let me say, the grounds, pool, hot tub and landscaping are all beautiful. Our room was calming and so clean. Outdoor access to the pool was a great option for us. The homemade breakfast was far and beyond the best breakfast I've EVER had at a hotel/inn! Everything about the Gazebo inn is wonderful, & I will not hesitate to recommend it to anyone and everyone in the future.
I spent a lovely four days at Rockmere Lodge. The hosts, Andy and Bob, were very friendly and helpful and served wonderful breakfasts each morning. The location is only a few yards from the Marginal Way and the views from my room, the Victoria Ruth, were spectacular. Each room includes a very helpful guide to local shopping and restaurants and Bob and Andy were always available to answer questions or provide recommendations. I can see why they have regulars who come year after year.
We've been coming here for many years, first under the old owners, Pat & Jerry, now under the new owners, Laurence & Glen. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. The rooms are lovely, the breakfasts sinfully scrumptious, the location perfect and completely walkable to everything in this great little town. We will be back.
Ned takes really good care of you when you are staying at the Blue Shutters Inn. His cooking is amazing. A very cozy, well located Inn within walking distance of everything in Ogunquit. Right next tot he Marginal Way and a short walk to Ogunquit and to the beach, Perkins Cove and many restaurants and the Playhouse. Excellent place to stay and well worth the price which is very reasonable.
We stayed at the Inn a few years ago. When booking it again we realized there were new owners. When we entered we were greeted warmly and wow! Glen and Laurence had remodeled the inn and it is incredible. The colors and decor are so tasteful. We felt so comfortable and the hospitality was terrific and fun. We wanted to take the bed home with us it was so comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. Cannot forget to mention Barkley their well behaved dog. Thank you Laurence and Glen for a great stay. We will surely return in the future.
My husband and I stayed 3 nights in the Tan Room the first week of October 2016. Even though the room is on the front of the house, we found it very quiet and comfortable. The Inn was always super clean and inviting. We loved the close proximity to the Marginal Way, walking the path once or twice a day. Ned's breakfasts were amazing! Coffee and tea along with breads and cakes available first thing in the morning and cookies in the afternoon and evenings. My husband and I can't thank Ned enough for accommodating our schedule after a death in our family. We will definitely stay at the Inn again and have recommended it to our family and friends.
This was not my first stay at the Gazebo, and it surely won't be my last. This Inn is beautiful, but what really makes it stand out above the rest is the staff. Scott and Peter make sure everything about your stay is enjoyable. The entire staff is friendly and accommodating. I also must mention the incredible breakfasts. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. I highly recommend the Gazebo. I can't wait to go back!
Lovely place, filled with history and lots of charm! The rooms were very spacious and had all of the amenities you would need. Breakfast was wonderful. Knowing we had to leave early, they accommodated us without a problem. Would highly recommend.
Along the whole Maine Coast you could not pick a better location than the Rockmere Lodge as it sits looking over the ocean at about the midpoint of the Marginal Way path along the shore. The Inn brings back memories of opulent times from the past. And the best part was the innkeepers (Bob and Andy) who both entertained us guests with their good cheer and engrossing stories.
The Blue Shutters Inn is a good property at a good value in a great location in Ogunquit. It is easy to get to with ample parking, tucked away and quiet, but right near the Marginal Way and downtown attractions. It is a quaint colonial home that has undergone some nice renovation featuring a comfortable living room with fireplace, and a nice entry-way with tea, cookies and other treats available all day. We stayed in the Green room which was a good size with a decent bathroom. However, the bed was loud and creaky and the mattress and boxspring clearly need replacement. There weren't enough power outlets and the ones there are not grounded so you can't plug in some modern devices. The Inn keepers are fairly new and expressed some plans for additional rehab and upgrades. The breakfast was really well done, delicious in every way, though I am a big eater and could have used more. I give this property a good rating overall for value/location though hope the new owners will continue to make some needed improvements before next season.
The Elmere House was great. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Sun is an excellent hostess. She's serves a very nice breakfast. She was very helpful with seeing the sites and recommending restaurants for dinner. You will not be disappointed with her or her Inn. The Pollocks
My husband and I recently stayed in the Green Room for 3 nights. We loved the location of the inn. Close to the breathtaking views of the ocean and close enough to walk into town for shopping and dinner. Ned, the innkeeper, was attentive to our every need and the breakfasts were to die for! Excellent location, clean as a whistle and friendly, accommodating host and staff. If we had any downside to our stay, the sofa in our room was not very comfortable to sit in and relax after a busy day. Nevertheless, we would highly recommend.
We usually try to stay in B&Bs when we travel so we thought we would take a chance with the Rockmere Lodge. Great location right on the marginal way. Our room was a bit small, but clean and well furnished. The breakfast was excellent and the inn keepers were friendly and entertaining. They did an excellent job of making everyone feel comfortable and we had great conversations among the guests. We would defiantly stay there again
Whenever I'm headed to Ogunquit Maine I first check to see if there is a room at the Blue Shutters. As a single traveler I appreciate the warm hospitality extended. The rooms are very comfortable and the full breakfasts delicious.
My stay in one of the studios was delightful, the continental breakfast was perfect with plenty of nice choices. The paved pathway to the Marginal Way was a nice plus. I've already recommended the Blue Shutters Inn to friends.
My husband and I stayed at the Bourne B&B for a night on our way to a wedding. It's a beautiful old house that has been restored so that it is clean and bright and charming. Jimmy is a knowledgeable and cheerful host, he made sure that we were taken care of, comfortable, well fed and knew where we were going. The location is perfect, a quick walk to many shops and restaurants in Ogunquit so we didn't need to use our car at all. We had a relaxing stay that made us fall in love with Maine and we are already thinking about how we can get back next year!
We only spent one night at B3 but it was great! Jimmy was very helpful and welcoming, our room was cozy and immaculate, and the continental breakfast was simple but well done. The location of this b&b was great, within walking distance of the beach, restaurants and shops. So nice to park the car and walk!
Every year my husband and I stay at the Nellie for a little get-away. This year was as marvelous as last. The staff is wonderful, breakfast is delicious, and the massage therapists are amazing. The room we stayed in this year was a little tight but it was a first as other rooms have ample space. It is the perfect location for anyone looking to enjoy the beach, take a walk on the marginal way, do a little shopping or enjoy a wonderful meal at a restaraunt within walking distance.
We celebrated our 49th Anniversary at The Trellis House, and everything was perfect! Laurence and Glen were very gracious hosts, and prepared delicious breakfasts each day. The decor was beautiful and our bedroom (the Kennebunkport room) was very comfortable. Marginal Way is just a few minutes away, and it's an easy walk to either Cape Neddick or the center of Ogunquit. We will be back!
This charming B& B is beautifully maintained and is in an ideal location. It is in easy walking distance to Perkin's Cove, Marginal Way, nice restaurants, and the Ogunquit Theater. Jimmy, the proprietor, is welcoming and attentive. He had theater tickets waiting for us on our arrival. We had a wonderful stay. Karen & Joel
