Echoes of the Glen Bed & Breakfast

300 South Franklin Street , Watkins Glen, NY 14891 USA (Show map)

Guests of Echoes of the Glen are thrilled with its location and homey atmosphere. Awaken to the aroma of coffee & Barb's homemade muffins, scones or kuchen. Then sit down to a delicious, homemade breakfast of freshly ground coffee, teas, hot cocoa, freshly baked pastries, juice, fruit and a hot entrée each morning. Our breakfasts include fresh, local in-season products. Our in-season fruits are mostly picked by the innkeepers and made into jams or frozen to serve out of season. It's just a short walk to the Main Entrance of the Gorge at Watkins Glen State Park voted #3 in the country! Echoes is located on the "flats" in Watkins, convenient to walk to restaurants, shops and many ice cream parlors, stroll out along the Seneca Lake Pier and through the Village Marina. You can sit on a bench and enjoy the sunset or boats sailing on beautiful Seneca Lake. If you are a racing buff, you can walk to the International Motor Racing Research Center where you will find the largest collection of racing films in the world. Just a short drive up the hill you can visit WGI race track, where you can watch driving schools run their laps around the track in their high performance sports cars or purchase a ticket to drive your own car around the track behind the pace car. More waterfalls, award winning wineries, the Curtiss Museum, Corning Glass Museum, Rockwell or Mark Twain Museums are a short drive away. Your room will be touched up daily during your stay (unless you say for us not to).

Excellent B&B

5 on June 20, 2017

You couldn't find a cleaner more welcoming place to stay. The room was very spacious. The common area was lovely. There is a lovely patio behind the house with plenty of seating. Very quiet and relaxing. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was fantastic.

Lovely B&B..

I stayed 2 nights while at meetings nearby. So glad I did. The B&B is charming, and Barbara and Tom are wonderful hosts. Will definitely revisit if in the area again.

Wine and cheese weekend

5 on April 24, 2017

We returned for our third year for the wine and cheese weekend event and had a wonderful time. Barbara and Tom are always such gracious hosts. They assisted with our arrangements for transportation on Saturday. The accommodations are always clean, neat and comfortable. Fresh breakfast is sure to please as well as fresh chocolate chip cookies at night. A wonderful place to stay in walking distance to the state park and downtown restaurants and other sights.

Lovely weekend

Echoes of the Glen is located in the perfect location for walking to and from Watkins Glen State Park, shops and restaurants. The innkeepers are friendly and knowledgeable about the area, giving advice and tips. The breakfasts are delicious and beautiful. The B & B is clean and welcoming. The only downside for me was the road noise. Next time I would try to get a room in early he back side of the house.

Our stay was very enjoyable. I had a medical issue and Barbara & Tom were very helpful with finding facilities and we were grateful for their follow-up even after we left. I would definitely recommend this B & B and stay there again.

A true gem in Watkins Glen!

5 on August 15, 2016

Immaculate, charming B & B, a stones throw away from Watkins Glen state park and 5 minute drive to the raceway. We stayed four nights and couldn't have been more comfortable. The inn keepers, Barbara and Tom, went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.Their home is lovely and breakfasts were freshly prepared daily with fruits, cheeses etc. from local farms. We will definitely stay again upon our return to the area. No need to look further!

I loved my visit here.

Perfectly situated for visiting the areas of interest in the Finger Lakes. The Glen, Seneca Lake attractions and restaurants are within walking distance. The wineries and race track are a short ride away. The hosts are accommodating and friendly. Their home is clean and comfortable. I avoid the Victorian style B&Bs due to their fussy decor. This is nothing like that. Barb and Tom have gone out of their way to think of everything to make their guests comfortable. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Wonderful Experience

Spent a couple days at this Inn in mid-July. Very comfortable and immaculately clean. Barbara is an amazing cook and the breakfasts were wonderful. Both Barb and Tom are gracious hosts. The Inn is located within walking distance to everything in Watkins Glen. We parked our card and didn't move it for 2 days! Thank you for your hospitality!

This is the place to stay in Waktins Glenn!

Barbara and Tom go out of their way to make your stay an enjoyable one. The B &B is extremely clean and well cared for. The breakfast provided is outstanding! This B&B is within walking distance to the Watkins Glen Gorge, Seneca Lake and all the shops and restaurants in town.

Booked for my next two stays!

5 on July 21, 2016

Barb and Tom are thoughtful, accommodating gracious and friendly hosts. Room and public parts of home are clean and neat. I was in the first floor room. There are others upstairs. They have a refrigerator there for guests, if needed. Breakfast are very good with variety of choices and dietary special needs. They are nearly across the street from the entrance of Watkins Glen State Park and walking distance of restaurants and the harbor. We did not walk due to he extreme heat but had no trouble parking at the harbor. There is a sunroom to rock and read. There are umbrellas and tables and chairs outside to relax. I loved it there. I booked two more stays before I left.

About the innkeepers

Barbara and Tom both grew up in the area. After spending 34 years away from the area raising their family and working in different parts of the country, they came back to their roots in 2005 to open Echoes of the Glen Bed & Breakfast, which reflects the history of American sports car racing, FL award winning wines and the infamous Watkins Glen Gorge. Their own collection of racing posters and photographs make the stairway and upstairs hallway a gallery dedicated to the racing history of the Glen
