Maple Shade B and B

Amazing cousin's weekend

4.8 on January 06, 2018

My husband and I have been coming up with family to the Saratoga springs area for the last few years. This was by far the best bed and breakfast we've stayed in. JoAnn and Tom made us feel right at home and gave us great dinner suggestions too. The accommodations far exceeded our expectations, and the breakfast were amazing. I have celiac's disease and have never stayed any place where they were so attentive to my needs. At every breakfast, (and we were there for four mornings,) there was a gluten-free version for anything that was cooked- from muffins, to pancakes, French toast. The common areas are beautifully decorated and comfortable. Having a well stocked kitchen area all to ourselves made us feel like we were really at home. We enjoyed being a 15 minute drive from Saratoga Springs, and having the beautiful countryside right outside our door. We look forward to returning soon.

The Perfect Place to Stay

5 on October 04, 2017

We were lucky to find two rooms at Maple Shade for Labor Day Weekend where we stayed while attending my uncle's 80th birthday party nearby. Jo Ann and Tom were great hosts and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They are both very friendly and had helpful suggestions for places to eat and things to do. We enjoyed being at the inn; it is beautiful and lovingly maintained. Breakfast was delicious. My mom got the only room on the first floor, which was convenient for her, so she didn't have to climb the stairs. We felt at home, yet on vacation which is the perfect combination for a good B&B!

Well Worth the Short Drive from Downtown Saratoga Springs

Tranquil, meticulously maintained, quiet and cozy B&B. Jo Ann could not have been a more accommodating and welcoming host. My wife and I will go back when in the area again. Highly recommended.

5 Star B&B in quiet corner of NY state

5 on June 13, 2017

Our recent stay was top notch-so much more than we anticipated. Our room was beautifully decorated, comfy, cozy and peaceful complete with amenities we did not expect in a B&B. The breakfasts were outstanding, delicious and skillfully served. We loved the outdoor views and general relaxing feel of our entire visit. Most remarkable was a full guest kitchen, sitting areas and helpful suggestions for exploring and dining in the area. Joanne and Tom were gracious hosts and their hospitality was extraordinary to say the least. We were pampered from arrival to departure. This is our target destination to return to when visiting family in the area in the future.

A very special place.

5 on January 03, 2017

My wife and I often avoid bed and breakfast establishments, mainly because we are not big breakfast eaters and do not necessarily seek socialization with short-term acquaintances. But Maple Shade is a very special place for us. The hosts are wonderful people, the house is remarkably sited and wonderfully maintained, and it is situated next to the historic battlefield on which American Independence was assured. Maple Shade is outstanding in every respect. I am sure that we will continue to find reasons to stay there.

Simply deligtful

From the moment we arrived at Maple Shade, we felt welcomed and at home. The property, set in a corn field, is beautiful and serene. Our room was comfortable, quiet and meticulous. Breakfast was delicious and we appreciated having a snack area stocked with coffee and goodies. We have already booked our next visit!

Warm and inviting

We have already booked return trips to Maple Shade. Jo Ann is so lovely and helpful and Tom makes delicious breakfasts. We found the setting to be bucolic and yet close to the action of Saratoga. Maxine and Jimmy

Magnificient!

Our only regret was not spending more time here! The rooms are immaculate, very elegant dining, very lovely hosts. Will most definitely stay again!

Wonderful Anniversary Get Away

5 on October 16, 2014

We had a wonderful time making this a home away from home with all the comforts. The house was extremely clean and the linens very comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious with a different homemade muffin for each day of our visit. The extra's were left in the guest kitchenette for snacking on later with a cup of tea or coffee. Our hosts were helpful with finding interesting things to do during our stay and some of the favorite local restaurants. We plan to return in the near future!
