Fully renovated Victorian Farmhouse, yet still maintains the charm of yesterday hosting original architecture and woodwork. The front porch is a wonderful place to relax in one of the rocking chairs or on the porch swing. Majestic views of the mountains, gardens and countryside can be seen for miles. There are five guest rooms all with private baths, some with jacuzzi tubs. Each has its own charm and character. Some guest rooms have fireplaces and comfortable seating areas.

We were lucky to find two rooms at Maple Shade for Labor Day Weekend where we stayed while attending my uncle's 80th birthday party nearby. Jo Ann and Tom were great hosts and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They are both very friendly and had helpful suggestions for places to eat and things to do. We enjoyed being at the inn; it is beautiful and lovingly maintained. Breakfast was delicious. My mom got the only room on the first floor, which was convenient for her, so she didn't have to climb the stairs. We felt at home, yet on vacation which is the perfect combination for a good B&B!

My wife and I often avoid bed and breakfast establishments, mainly because we are not big breakfast eaters and do not necessarily seek socialization with short-term acquaintances. But Maple Shade is a very special place for us. The hosts are wonderful people, the house is remarkably sited and wonderfully maintained, and it is situated next to the historic battlefield on which American Independence was assured. Maple Shade is outstanding in every respect. I am sure that we will continue to find reasons to stay there.

From the moment we arrived at Maple Shade, we felt welcomed and at home. The property, set in a corn field, is beautiful and serene. Our room was comfortable, quiet and meticulous. Breakfast was delicious and we appreciated having a snack area stocked with coffee and goodies. We have already booked our next visit!

We have already booked return trips to Maple Shade. Jo Ann is so lovely and helpful and Tom makes delicious breakfasts. We found the setting to be bucolic and yet close to the action of Saratoga. Maxine and Jimmy

Our only regret was not spending more time here! The rooms are immaculate, very elegant dining, very lovely hosts. Will most definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful time making this a home away from home with all the comforts. The house was extremely clean and the linens very comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious with a different homemade muffin for each day of our visit. The extra's were left in the guest kitchenette for snacking on later with a cup of tea or coffee. Our hosts were helpful with finding interesting things to do during our stay and some of the favorite local restaurants. We plan to return in the near future!

Our family spent several days here at this lovely retreat, renting the entire inn for a family reunion. All of the guest rooms were very clean, unique and tastefully decorated. Homemade muffins were served every morning as was a different breakfast. Nice presentation and best of all everything was HOT! Would highly recommend this location for a couple's visit or for a family reunion. You won't be disappointed.

Our stay at Maple Shade B&B was the best experience we've had with bed and breakfast accommodations. We were so glad we chose to stay there. The setting is so relaxing from the wrap around porch with magnificent views of the mountains to the beautiful perennial gardens. The food was excellent and JoAnn made every effort to ensure the menu suited our tastes. The muffins were great! I loved the kitchenette they provided for the guests to use. Tom and family members did an excellent job of renovating the house. I'm looking forward to our next visit.

Our entire experience was outstanding! The inn is beautiful. The common areas were very welcoming and our room was charming (and spotless). The bed was so comfortable and the linens felt great to sleep in. We had a lot of rain while visiting and the temps were cool. The fireplace kept us cozy. Our breakfasts were enormous and were lovingly cooked by Joanne. We felt so well cared for. The property is breathtakingly beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend the Maple Shade Inn!
To everyone who has taken the time to write a review a sincere thank you from the both of us. We would like all of our guests to feel welcome and special during their time here.
