Everything a. B&B should be!!

5 on April 25, 2018

Our stay at the Van Cleef was too short! Carol was a wonderful hostess who has thought of every detail to make the inn a delightful place to spend some time. The lovely living room with fireplace gave us a cozy spot to wind down the day of travel. The bed was perfect. Loved the claw foot bath tub! And breakfast was scrumptious. Looking forward to traveling that way again! Thank you Carol.

Innkeeper Response
It is always nice to know that our guests enjoyed a stay at our B&B and that we are doing it right! Thank you for the time spent telling others about your experience. It is wonderful having guests who enjoy the little things we do. Our B&B is not just a "bed", but it is the whole package with a personal touch. We offer an experience that is exactly what we would want from a stay at a B&B. Thank you!

Lovely stay at Christmas

4.6 on December 31, 2017

It is awesome that this B&B was available Christmas Day, when we headed home from our family visit, and stayed in Seneca Falls as our half-way point. Carol was also very accommodating for us to have a couple of local friends join us at breakfast for what was a long time reunion with a college roommate. We loved our room, and she left a key available in case we arrived when she was out. Will return if in the area again.

Innkeeper Response
It is such a great pleasure to have guests return, and return, and return for another visit! They become like old friends passing through!! It is also our pleasure to make staying here convenient, even if on a holiday. It is so very kind of you to make the extra effort to review our B&B and tell folks what we are all about. We were so happy to see you again and make our home a place for you to greet old friends. We look forward to your return!!

Lovely comfortable place with warm owners

3.6 on November 08, 2017

My only complaint was that I thought I booked a suite which was 2 bedroom and private bathroom for the two bedrooms. In fact it was a shared hallway bathroom. The description was a little misleading.

A Home away from Home

5 on September 04, 2017

This place truly goes above and beyond for what a B&B concept means. Yes, you'll have the best home made food and cozy rooms to stay at, but you'll also have enjoyable talks, fun stories and sound advice about the whereabouts. The owners are very knowledgeable on the area and they love sharing it, making you wish to stay in town longer. Carol puts her heart to everything she does, making you feel really welcome, as if you were Home. Me and my family LOVED to stay here!! (my 15 months old baby included)

Innkeeper Response
We are so very pleased to have happy guests! If we can't offer what we know about this beautiful area, then we aren't doing our job. Making our guests comfortable, well-fed, and glad they stayed here is our number one priority. Having families who enjoy a stay at a B&B is even better. People who travel with children who want to stay at B&Bs are the best guests. We delight in making you feel at home. Thank you for sharing your experience with othe travelers.

Carol was so hospitable and the home is so historic

Innkeeper Response
We have so many cyclists who are cycling the Erie Canal Trail who enjoy a good-night's rest at our B&B. We are conveniently located near the trail, and a stop in Seneca Falls is a must-do. Thank you for your review!

Great overnight stay at VanCleef B&B!

4.6 on July 31, 2017

Our rooms were huge, the beds were comfortable, the whole house was well kept and full of interesting things, breakfast was delicious, fellow travelers were pleasant, and hostess Carol could not have been more hospitable. Convenient walking distance to downtown Seneca Falls. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

Innkeeper Response
Our B&B is conveniently located to downtown a short distance from wineries. We have been so blessed to have such wonderful guests who enjoy our historic home, take time to chat with fellow travelers, and appreciate what we do as innkeepers. Thank you for your feedback!

Signature Dish

Baked French Toast
French Toast made with Amish homemade bread, baked with fresh fruit, such as blueberries, apples, or peaches. Our guests have told us we should find another name for this dish, as the term "French Toast" doesn't do it justice!
