Wonderful Visit!!!!

5 on April 23, 2018

My husband and I stayed at the Caldwell B & B for 2 nights. Our room was so comfortable, really enjoyed the hot tub and rain shower. The Local Irish pub which was walking distance from our room was absolutely the "Bomb" The Local's made us feel so welcomed. The Thursday night Irish band was so wonderful. Looking forward to another visit in the future. Thank you John and Dena for a wonderful experience.

Innkeeper Response

Surpassed Our Expectations

5 on April 18, 2018

Where to even start. Wow! Everything about our stay was absolutely wonderful. The B&B itself was lovely. Rooms were quaint and impeccably clean. The grounds are gorgeous, it made the whole stay so relaxing. I have several dietary restrictions and John & Dena were so sweet about it all and worked to make me a delicious breakfast each morning. It unfortunately was very windy and rainy so some of the local activities weren’t as readily available, but there’s so many nice places to eat & shopping centers we were able to keep busy. Definitely planning on returning once it gets warmer.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a kind review! We are so happy you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you back here real soon. P.S. The weather will definitely be nicer next time! :-)

A Beautiful Gem

5 on March 21, 2018

I stayed at the Caldwell House with my mom and sister the night before my mom was getting married. The house is beautiful and so are the grounds! The morning of the wedding we went to the breakfast room and on their daily menus was an ad congratulating my mom on her wedding. It was an amazing start to the day. I would 10/10 recommend Caldwell House to anyone who is thinking of traveling to the Hudson Valley.

Perfect Getaway

4.6 on March 12, 2018

If you're bogged down by your workaday life in the city this is a great place to get away. It is not too far away and centrally located around Hudson Valley areas like Newburgh. They make it very easy. We parked and rolled right up and they were prepared with our room even though we were on the early side. They had good recommendations, and a massage therapist on site.

Thank you for leaving this kind review. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay with us and hope you will visit us again real soon.

Perfect weekend getaway

5 on February 22, 2018

This was an excellent getaway for my spouse and I. First let me start with the amenities. We stayed at the Cliffs of Mohr room. It was loaded. The bed was a California King and probably the most comfortable mattress I’ve slept on. Rooms were equip with Netflix, Hulu, and DirecTV. Albeit the Netflix and Hulu were spotty but not a problem. The jacuzzi, extra large shower, fireplace, private entrance. This was a perfect getaway. Dena and John were excellent hosts offering suggestions for things to do places to go. They cook a mean breakfast as well! It’s obvious they have a passion for their work and it shows. We checked out some ice staking at Bear Mountain and did Sunday brunch at Blu Pointe (a must!). Would highly recommend Caldwell house and plan on revisiting in the future!!

Beautiful and comfortable!

5 on February 20, 2018

We came here for a weekend in February. Our room was beautiful; we loved the gas fireplace, the huge shower with two showerheads, and the Netflix bingeing in the softest bed. I look forward to coming back here in the warmer weather so we can enjoy the outdoor seating throughout the grounds! Dena and John were so friendly and we loved the French Toast for breakfast one morning!

Birthday getaway

5 on February 10, 2018

My husband and I spent a weekend at the Caldwell House to celebrate our birthdays. Being NYC natives, it was a nice, quick getaway to see what nearby Hudson Valley has to offer. Dena and John were great and personable hosts, and the breakfast was delicious! We definitely would like to come back again during the warmer months to enjoy the grounds more. :)
