The Ginger Cat B&B is my favorite place to stay in Watkins Glen. The rooms are cozy and comfortable and Gita is the most wonderful host. The breakfasts are amazing and the atmosphere (inside and outside) is serene and peaceful.
What can I say except Thank You so much! 'Till the next visit.

My parents, husband and I stayed at the Ginger Cat this past weekend - the first time for my parents, who eat meat at almost every meal, and at least the third time for my husband and I (we are both vegan). All four of us agree that this place is magical. My parents devoured the amazing vegan spread that Gita lovingly prepared (my husband and I did, too, of course). The rooms are so quaint and clean, and the restroom (which can be a deal breaker for me) is always spotless. This was our dog, Annabelle's, second visit to the Ginger Cat and she absolutely loves it there...after we parked, she jumped out of the car and bee-lined for the door. The location is perfect - just a short drive from the busier Watkins Glen and wineries, and the Farm Sanctuary is about 12-15 minutes away (a nice drive down country roads). Gita, the owner, has such a warm soul, you will immediately like her. So, in a nutshell, if you like peaceful, quaint, clean, welcoming and comfortable places to stay, add the Ginger Cat to the top of your list.
What can I say to these kind words? How about: I love having you stay here. I love Annabelle. Give her some belly rubs from me! It was a pleasure to meet your parents and I hope that the trip to Farm Sanctuary and listening to Dr. Greger's talk inspired them to think about making dietary changes. I can't wait to see you again next year and hopefully you'll be able to stay longer and really get a chance to explore all that there is to see/experience here. Happiest of holidays.

My husband, friend, her daughter, and I loved our stay at the Ginger Cat!! The home is so cozy and beautifully decorated and Gita is a lovely, warm host. She welcomed us with open arms and made us feel very comfortable. The breakfast was out-of-this-world delicious and HUGE!! We absolutely loved and devoured it. Thank you Gita for sharing your charming home with us. We definitely recommend Ginger Cat B&B. :)
Thank you so much for this great review. It was wonderful to meet all of you and I hope that you'll be back again.

Beautiful and quiet place to stay

Rather than opulence or historic character that one finds in many B&Bs, at Ginger Cat B&B you'll find the common comforts of home in a scrupulously clean double-wide. There are loads of books and magazines available, all with animal rights and the vegan lifestyle in mind. And the breakfasts are fantastic. You can enjoy all of this on a quiet deck while you have coffee or tea surrounded by wildlife.

The Ginger Cat and Gita provided a wonderful place for us to explore Watkins Glen's hiking opportunities and wineries. We appreciated the delicious food Gita prepared and her recommendations about the area!

Our stay was lovely. Great breakfast, excellent for vegans like us! Gita was super friendly, very nice and a Farm Sanctuary supporter. We really enjoyed talking to her. Would have preferred it if cats were allowed access to the rooms :)
I'm sorry that the cats are not allowed in the guest bedrooms, but at least you were able to come into 'their' space and hang out for a while. Believe me, if it were up to them, they'd be in every room of the guest side of the B&B!

We had only scheduled one day there (on a Monday) but by morning I wished we could stay another day. It is very close to Farm Sanctuary and Gita used to work there. A warm and welcoming place. Wonderful breakfast! Also a great library of vegan-related books. (There is something wrong with the bedandbreakfast.com website. I tried to rate it as "Outstanding" but it would not accept the rating. Don't know why.) We will be back...
