Burnie and Susan host the most amazing little bed and breakfast. The food? Amazing. The hosts? So sweet! Their ability to point you in the right direction for your stay? Completely on point! Burnie even gave me a running route to use before breakfast in the morning so I didn't feel as guilty when I complete indulged on his homemade EVERYTHING! I promise, you won't regret going to Los Gatos!

From the moment we checked in we felt welcome and Susan and Burney's quaint B&B located in the heart of the Finger Lakes region of NYS. The room was bright and clean. The breakfast was amazing. And the hospitality beyond compare. We would recommend staying at Los Gatos to anyone looking for a similar experience while traveling. Ellen & Gordon

Gorgeous views, clean, spacious suite, amazing breakfasts! The location to Penn Yan and Lake Keuka is perfect. I cannot think of anything negative to say about this place. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Los Gatos; Burney and Susan were wonderful hosts. The house beautiful and the food was fantastic. We took some of their jellies and syrup home as a reminder of our trip. They gave us plenty of ideas to keep us busy during our stay there and we look forward to returning the very soon!

Burney & Susan were WONDERFUL hosts! They made sure to make our stay warm and comfortable. The discount package that came with our stay, thanks to our Groupon purchase, was beautifully organized. We loved staying in the precious cabins located outside the main building. We felt valued as guests and our stomachs were very pleased and ready for our wine tasting ahead of us after breakfast. Burney & Susan make a most delicious (and almost entirely homemade) breakfast. If you are a baked good fan you will love the fresh baked breads! We highly recommend staying at Los Gatos!

I would highly recommend staying in one of the cabins if you are not a fan of a typical BnB. It was very cozy and private. Breakfast is delicious, farm to table with homemade juices and jams. If your looking for wine tasting, the location is ideal....10 minutes to Seneca and Keuka Lakes. Make sure to ask about the Value Plus Package!

We stayed at Los Gatos in Penn Yann for our "mini-moon" and had a wonderful experience. Burney and Susan were fantastic hosts, and provided us with everything we asked. We stayed in one of their cute cabins, and were extremely pleased with the amenities and cozy feeling of the living quarters. Breakfast in the morning was spectacular. They made homemade cinnamin swirl french toast, with homemade jams and apple cider syrup. Burney and Susan were super nice and we will definitely be returning to Los Gatos to stay with them again in the future. We recommend this Bed and Breakfast to all!

We arrived at Los Gatos to a warm welcome from Barney and Susan. On a lovely September day we enjoyed sitting on their lovely deck enjoying the view of their gardens. After a comfortable night's rest, we enjoyed a lovely breakfast with homemade syrup and jams. They are the perfect hosts and have a lovely home.

Los Gatos is a wonderful retreat in the centrally located village of Penn Yan. We stayed in the Grand Suite on the 2nd floor that included a separate sitting room with a deck overlooking the grounds and a view towards Seneca Lake that afforded us beautiful sunrise panoramas each morning. Outstanding breakfasts are homemade each morning and are quite delectable ranging from bread for French toast, their own English muffins, blueberry souffle, pancakes, Belgian waffles, homemade syrup, jams and even their own coffee blend. Susan and Burney are salt of the earth folks who work hard to ensure your stay is memorable. They know the area well and can offer tips including off the beaten path locations that are well worth the trip. A great find for sure.

Burney and Susan made us feel at home in their home. The Blue Room was quiet with plenty of room and a comfortable bed, we had a great night's rest. The grounds are well maintained and have a great overlook view of the countryside which you can view from a spacious deck at the back of the house. The breakfast was simple and sumptuous.and included homemade fixings from their own garden and grounds.

We have stayed at Los Gatos before in one of the cabins. This time, since we were traveling with friends we decided to rent the Keuka Cottage. Do not be mislead by the word cottage. This is a lovely 3 bedroom home overlooking the Lake. Burney and Susan have done everything to make the home comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting out on the expansive deck with a glass of wine staring at the lake and reviewing our day. The only thing missing was Burney's breakfast.

Located near the top of Keuka Lake this B & B is very inviting, as are your hosts Susan and Burney. Three rooms in the main house plus 2 cabins. We stayed in the grand suite (the entire second floor) with a deck overlooking the yard, which I highly recommend if it's available. The property is spacious with flower and vegetable gardens. At night if the sky is clear enjoy star gazing with Burney, just fabulous! Speaking of fabulous, the 5 star breakfasts will fuel you for your daily adventure.

Los Gatos offers clean and spacious accommodations in a Penn Yan location that's convenient for exploring the Finger Lakes. What makes this B & B special is the hospitality offered by proprietors Burney and Susan. First of all, our three breakfasts were all memorable! Everything is homemade- scones, jams, waffles, clafoutis, crust less quiche, apple cider syrup, berry granita - and delicious! Susan and Burney offered many helpful suggestions for things to do in the area. In the backyard of their 3 acre property, Burney shared his knowledge of astronomy and his telescope with interested guests. Los Gatos knows how to make their guests feel welcome!

This was our first time traveling to the Finger Lakes region of NY and my wife selected this specific B&B to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary due to the positive reviews. Upon arrival Burney and Susan were very welcoming and immediately made you feel at home. We stayed in the Grand Suite on the second floor which overlooked the relaxing grounds and peaceful gardens of Los Gatos. I suggest getting up to catch the sunrise. The suite accommodations are comfortable and well maintained and most importantly clean. We were both appreciative of the knowledge of the area that they shared and the pointers that they provided. Words cannot due justice to the scrumptious breakfast served sharply at 9 a.m. and the freshness of the blended juices and home made jams. The location of this B&B is conveniently located so that one can explore wineries, eateries, and other attractions near both Keuka and Seneca Lakes. We loved our stay!

Stayed in the Sage room at this lovely B&B outside of town. The room is nicely arranged, very clean and very comfortable. The common rooms are great - we enjoyed eating breakfast in the enclosed porch with the sun shining into the room and sitting on the large deck taking in the view and the chattering birds. We saw a gobbler turkey strutting for some hens and a handful of white tail deer feeding in the back of the field in the evening. At night we played games on the porch with the TV on in the background. If we had already visited the wineries, we could have used the ample glassware they have. Burney and Susan are very friendlyand accommodating. They had great suggestions for which wineries and breweries to visit and where to get lunch. Burney is an excellent breakfast cook. When we returned to the B&B near the end of the day after visiting wineries, Burney and Susan came out of the side of the house where they had been working to greet us with a friendly hello and to ask about our day - such a nice touch!

Great views, excellent hospitality. We stayed in the Casa Verde cabin and it was gorgeous! The food was excellent too. Will definitely be back!

Over the years we have stayed at Los Gatos many times - Burney and Susan provide a fantastic stay every time! Quiet, comfortable rooms, incredible breakfasts using fresh eggs from their hens and fruit from their gardens, and informative and interesting conversation. Their B&B is perfecting located to visit most of the Finger Lakes's attractions, especially those around Keuka and Seneca Lakes - Burney and Susan have the local knowledge and information to guide you to restaurants, wineries, breweries and other attractions. You won't be disappointed here, ever!

Our stay at Los Gatos happened because our children gave us a gift for a 2 night stay for Christmas. As BnB virgins :) we were a little hesitant about our stay, but that all changed immediately when we arrived. Burney greeted us at our car and gave us a tour of the grounds. A map of the area helped with the wine tours. But the best part, was breakfast. Both mornings we were served an ample amount of delicious food prepared by Burney. Everything was just delectable. We only saw our hosts at breakfast time. If you needed them for anything they were an intercom call away. Beautifully decorated and cozy rooms made it complete. It was an awesome experience.

Los Gatos was a wonderful Bed and Breakfast. They Meet us at the car to help carry our bags in to our room. The Decor was beautiful and clean and the owners were very friendly but was very good at knowing when to be friendly and when to not be seen. They had a intercom system so that we could get them any time of day if needed. The view from the back porch was incredible and in the in the summer and fall it would probably be even better. There location is great also. I was close to everything but still out side of town so that if felt like you were in the country. The breakfast were all home made and very good. They even made there own Jelly and bread and syrup. The only thing I would change is move it closer to where I live. 5 hours is a long way to travel for a weekend but it was so worth it and I would do it again. I will be going back next year.

We used Los Gatos as our "base of operations" for two days of visiting Finger Lakes wineries. We had a great time, and will definitely do it again.

We recently stayed in the Casa Azul cabin and it is one wonderful place! Privacy and all the modern accommodations plus a fabulous breakfast served just steps away from the cabin. Definitely a great place and we plan to return there soon!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Los Gatos Bed and Breakfast. This was our first time ever staying in a bed and breakfast and I don't know why we waited so long to try it. The room was private and spacious (Grand Suite). We had a bedroom, a sitting room, a bathroom, and our own private deck. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was a nice size and the sitting room and deck were perfect for sipping wine and eating cheese and crackers. But, the highlight of the B&B is Burney and Susan and their sparkling personalities and amazing breakfasts. All the reviews talk about the wonderful breakfasts but they don't do it justice. I can't even put into words how enjoyable the food was. In addition to the great food they gave numerous suggestions on other activities to do and they were right on the money. Susan made us cookies as a treat one day and Burney brought out his telescope and gave us a quick astronomy lesson. This B&B is centrally located and was just a short drive to many different wineries, towns, farmers markets, and Watkins Glen State Park. It was in the perfect location. We are already looking into when we can come back.

We had a nice short stay at the Keuka cottage and it was home away from home , nicely located and had an awesome lake view from the deck. Comfortable rooms and bathrooms with plenty of space . We had suggestions from Susan and Burney about activities and we loved it. It was a nice family time and we all appreciated the place . Enjoy! Yelena

We decided to get away and visit Keuka Lake (one of the finger lakes located in Penn Yan, NY) to celebrate our Anniversary. I did a little surfing to see where we should stay. It was't long before I found Los Gatos B&B on bedandbreakfast.com. It looked and sounded wonderful and we definitely were not disappointed. The property is absolutely breathtaking, well manicured, spacious, and has a gazebo and large deck overlooking their landscape where you can sit and enjoy view. All the rooms are great. They even have two separate log cabin cottages if you prefer something more private. We chose the Blue Room in the main house and it was beautiful and complete with all the amenities you may need for your stay along with a small frig plus a spacious closet. Did I mention the bed was comfortable and great for my back? All the rooms are impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. The owners Burney and Susan really made our visit so worthwhile. Burney is a wonderful cook and the breakfasts are absolutely scrumptuous. Everything (and I mean everything) is homemade right down to the english muffins, jams, apple cider syrup, scones, and sorbet being some of the accompaniments what you might get for breakfast. They did everything possible to accommodate my food allergies which is always a concern for me, but I had no problems whatsoever. Burney and Susan gave us all the information on the possible sites, restaurants, museums and wineries to visit and how to get there. This place is truly a gem and is really such a great value for what you receive. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and are sure to return again for another trip to the Finger Lakes. If you decide to visit the area, you can't go wrong with Los Gatos B&B and you won't be disappointed. :)

Los Gatos is a well-kept B&B run by two very accommodating people. Burney and Susan not only know how to run a B&B, they also are in the know on almost every aspect of a stay in the Finger Lakes. Upon arrival, after a walk-through of the premises, they presented us with a map of the region and a sheet of special offers to wineries, breweries, museums, and other places a visitor might want to visit. They also pointed out on the map, the best way to get to where we wanted to go, what we might see along the way, and all kinds of other useful information. Their recommendations were spot-on, and they never steered us wrong. The B&B itself is a great place to stay. Located just north of the village of Penn Yan, it sits in the country but is still an easy drive to several other communities and attractions. We stayed in one of two small cabins adjacent to the main house, where there are three other rooms and where we ate breakfast each morning and sat on the huge deck each evening (weather permitting) enjoying the view and a bottle of wine. The cabin was large enough to be very comfortable with a sitting area and a front porch with two rockers. Each morning Burney and Susan sent us on our way with an ample breakfast, fresh and delicious. Homemade jams and preserves, eggs from their own chickens, and local fruits all made for an enjoyable start to the day. All things considered, we will definitely stay at Los Gatos on our next trip to the Finger Lakes country. There probably are other B&B's of equal quality, but once you've found a winner, why risk an inferior stay at another place?

We had a lovely weekend. The rooms are all separate and there is lovely indoor and outdoor communal spaces. Our hosts were knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast was lovely. The location is excellent especially for Keuka and Seneca Lakes and for Watkins Glen and Letchworth state parks and to Corning. Highly recommend this B and B.

Los Gatos is a superb B&B My wife and I are repeat customers from day one. The breakfasts are outstanding and the grounds are full of flowers, birds, a tasting garden and even chickens that provide fresh eggs daily. Our trip to the Finger Lakes was a total blast thanks to Susan and Burney great accommodation and hospitality. It was our first time in the finger lakes and they gave us great advice, wonderful conversations, and info on the local scenes. Last but not least Burney Breakfast's are simply fantastic one of the best things about our trip. :). We're definitely gonna be revisiting in the summer our experience was spectacular. You made our new year.

My girlfriend and I came for a couple days' stay in the middle of winter and Burney and Susan were incredibly accommodating - giving us a great room, great advice, funny stories and delicious food. I'm not sure how they do it, but they are always around just the right amount - giving you some privacy but also helping with whatever is needed. A great spot to begin some wine tastings and exploration of the Finger Lakes!

We have fallen in love with the Finger Lakes region and our place to stay when we visit is Los Gatos B&B. From the incredible bucolic atmosphere to Burney's wonderful breakfasts, we couldn't have found a better place to stay when we are up there. We stay at a lot of B&Bs around the country and Los Gatos is one of the very best of them. Very highly recommended.

If you're planning a trip to the finger lakes and planning on going to either Keuka or Seneca lake, THIS is the place to stay!! The location is very close to both Keuka and Seneca lakes, so a great location if you're planning on hitting the wineries around either, or both of these lakes. The house is spotless, and extremely nicely decorated!! We stayed in the Sage room, and when we first walked into the room, the room was nicer than it even appeared online. Simply beautiful!! They thought of everything, from beautiful private baths, TV’s and cable in the rooms, a small refrigerator in our room, and even electronic door locks on all the doors, where you have a private code to enter the house and your room. In addition, the bed was very comfortable! There is a huge deck and gazebo out back with a fire pit, where you can relax and look at the great view while sipping on a bottle of wine. The hosts are REALLY nice people! They are very knowledgeable about the area and are happy to answer any questions you have. They live in an attached addition on the house, and If you need their assistance or have any questions, you just click an intercom on the wall in the kitchen, and they show up in seconds. And, let’s not forget about breakfast. A lot of fresh ingredients used from their land. Everything is homemade and delicious, with plenty to eat!! I’d highly recommend Los Gatos B&B to anyone going to the finger lakes!! We will definately be back!!

Burney and Susan Baron run an excellent establishment. From booking to breakfast, our stay at the Los Gatos B&B in Penn Yan, NY was a very pleasant experience. The room was quiet and comfortable, the amenities were superb, and the view from the back deck was wonderful. Although the weather was not ideal (still mile for mid-Oct, but a bit rainy), our hosts more than made up for it with their hospitality. They also prepared a delicious breakfast of Clafoutis, fresh-picked strawberries, homemade english muffins, sausage and cider. It was the perfect complement to a fun tour of the local wineries. I highly recommend you consider them if you're looking for a place to stay after a long day of sampling wines on the Seneca or Keuka wine trails!

We spent four days touring this area of the Finger Lakes to enjoy the beautiful scenery in the Fall foliage season and to visit wineries, cheese farms, and to hike the water falls in Watkins Glen State Park. The Los Gatos B&B was perfectly situated for this vacation. We stayed in one of the cabins, and our friends stayed in the other. It was perfect for us, we could sit/visit out on the porches and enjoy the country view. Burney and Susan own a large piece of property which they well maintain...consisting of lovely flower beds, trees, green grass, grape vines, strawberries and a garden. They also have woods to walk in. Our breakfasts were amazing with fresh homemade fruit juices, jams, syrups and delicious menus. Burney and Susan have a gift of decorating and all the rooms have lovely handmade quilts and stained glass pieces to lend to the decor. The bed was very comfortable and our cabin had everything we needed. Thank you for our wonderful vacation to your beautiful area!

Los Gatos was a tremendous find! This was our first experience with a B&B. The owners were very cordial, the breakfast was outstanding, and our room was appropriately decorated, roomy and clean. The large acreage was wonderfully landscaped with excellent view from deck and gazebo...with a glass of wine from a local winery, of course. We look forward to a return visit. Don and Norma

We also bought several jars of Burney's homemade jams to take home to Toronto, they are DELICIOUS. Anyone reading this should stay here for sure and anyone who has not enjoyed the wonderful rolling hills and wineries of the Finger Lakes must go there ASAP, it is spectacular !

The Hosts were very friendly and very accommodating. Bed, sheets and pillows were excellent. Soap, shampoo and toilet paper need improvement. Had to get my own but not a big deal as I am very particular on these items. Towels were a little rough and worn. The deck, common areas and dining area were all above par in terms of cleanliness and comfort. Location is good and central to all areas with 20-25 mins. of driving if you need to be near Watkins Glen. Food is fresh and well presented. Not gourmet but hearty and substantial. Jams and Burney's cooking well all well received by all guests. Would recommend this place as a 3.0 out of 5 stars and I am a discerning grader. Definitely one of the better B&B's in the Finger Lakes.

We just stayed for 3 nights at Los Gatos and we loved it! If you visiting Fingers Lakes for any reason that's the place to stay ; it's really home away from home just with an amazing home-made hearty breakfast with all home made jams and syrups and waffles and smoked bacons that keeps you going for most of the day. We stayed at the suite and had very nicely decorated two rooms and balcony overlooking the beautiful grounds. Susan and Burney are the warmest and most helpful hosts we ever came across and we loved how interesting they both are to chat too also. The location is great ; close to everything and we saw a lot of places and visited tons of wineries with our hosts suggestions. So if you are looking for good and reasonable place to stay - look no more!!

My husband and I love Los Gatos. Susan and Burney make us feel so welcome. This was our fifth visit. My sister and I came for a small getaway a few summers ago, and one more time with my Mom. So, we've been here a lot! The reason: the location, the property but above all Susan and Burney. They always go the extra mile to make all of our visits special. Susan asked about my Mom and my sister. I was impressed that she remembered and touched that she thought to ask after them. The breakfasts as usual are AMAZING. For my husband and I this is the perfect type of holiday and the ambiance of Los Gatos makes it our perfect getaway. We cannot recommend Los Gatos enough.

I took my fiancee to Los Gatos for her birthday through a Living Social deal. We upgraded to a private cabin. The weather was extremely cold but the cabins were equipped with space heaters. It was very warm and cozy. The cabin was spacious and the bed was comfy. Burney and Suzan were both lovely and welcoming. The included breakfast was delicious and their apple cidar syrup was out of this world. We are planning another trip to the Finger Lakes for our mini-honeymoon and plan to stay at Los Gatos again.

Took my girlfriend here and I honestly don't think we stopped smiling. Had a blast in the area and completely enjoyed staying in the Cabin. The Breakfast was incredible. If I will miss one thing from this trip it's the breakfast at 9:00 A.M. So perfect! Looking forward to coming back some day!
5 on November 30, 2013
Found a great Living Social package deal for a 2 night stay in a standard room, daily breakfast, 2 wine card passports for wine & beer tastings at 27 wineries, and a welcome gift from the B&B. There were 3 different establishments to choose from and I'm so very glad I picked Los Gatos. Susan & Burney are wonderful hosts who are warm, friendly, hospitable and very knowledgable about the Finger Lakes region. Within minutes of meeting them you feel more like friends than guests. The property is immaculate and there are so many extra special touches all around that show how much they care. We decided to upgrade our package to the 2nd floor Grand Suite and were blown away by how much space there was. As we were the only guests at the B&B during our stay, we really did have the entire home to ourselves. No matter which room or cabin you choose, you will not be disappointed. They are all extremely clean, comfortable, spacious and finely decorated. Breakfast each morning was a delight and having unrestricted access to the common areas of the home (including an attached sunroom with a magnificent view) was an added bonus. We live 5 hours away however if we were to travel to this area in the future, we would definitely return to Los Gatos.

This was our second stay with Burney and Susan and we will be back. The first reason is the hospitality. Both are very happy to answer any questions and advise the best guidance. Second is the food! Great care is given to all meals. Local and homemade is a rule here. Third are the grounds where a lot of what you eat is grown. Finally, come the cabins They are new, sparkling clean and cozy. We did not wish to leave.

Immaculate, clean, beautiful place. Susan and Burney are so nice, you feel like they're part of your family. We loved the atmosphere that reminded us of our childhood growing up on the farm in Poland. The food is sooo good I had to get the recipe for one of the breakfast dishes. We loved the antique furniture around the house mixed with modern elements in the kitchen. We're coming back in the fall of 2013 for sure with more people!

Our first visit here was four years ago and we keep coming back each year. They are excellent hosts, warm and friendly and they know the area whether you want to know about wineries, what events are going on or where to eat during the day.

Located in the quiet country but just a mile or two from town, it is a few minutes from Keuka Lake and nearly as close to Seneca Lake. Our room, like the others, had a private bath, TV, and wi-fi, and was very clean, comfortable, and homey. It even included a small fridge. Common areas (living room, kitchen, sun porch) give places to relax and talk with other guests if you'd like. Burnie loves to cook from scratch, and breakfasts were wonderful. Burnie and Sue are great hosts and are generous with extras. They are very knowledgeable about the area and will recommend activities based on your interests.

For first time BnB stayers we really had no idea what to expect. Well, whatever expectations we may have had were blown away by friendliness and hospitality. I felt at home from the second we walked on the grounds. Susan and Burney were helpful yet not smothering. They were very knowledgeable about the area and I felt at ease picking their brains for local gems. Their homemade breakfast and products were absolutely delectable and I would return for them alone! Overall, we had a wonderful time and would recommend Los Gatos to anyone looking for a home-away-from-home while in the Finger Lakes.

Whenever we can get away to the Finger Lakes Susan and Burney are always our first call. We have stayed at Los Gatos several times. Every time we arrive we feel as though we are visiting friends. We have stayed in the first floor rooms, the cabins, and this last trip we stayed in the second floor "Grand Suite." It is difficult to pick a favorite...they all offer a unique experience. The property is always in amazing condition, the breakfast is fantastic, the location is great and the stay is memorable. It is difficult to think that our experience could be better, but the next time we return Susan and Burney once again out do themselves.

We had a wonderful two days at this B&B. The hosts were gracious and friendly and prepared wonderful breakfast for us each morning. Will go back again.

My partner and I stayed at Los Gatos in Penn Yan the weekend before Christmas 2012, having found a deal on Living Social. We stayed in the Blue Room, which is very spacious with a seating area, two chairs, electric fireplace, and private bath. Rooms are placed well and feel relatively private, no two sharing a common wall. A sitting room, screened porch, and kitchen/dining room (with occasional fresh treats), are accessible 24-hours. Burney and Susan, the proprietors, were personable and very helpful in suggesting tips to find local attractions and wineries to suit our taste. Burney made a delicious breakfast from scratch each morning. On our second morning we shared good conversation over breakfast with two couples in their late 20's to early 30's. Breakfast is the only meal served at this inn. We both recommend Los Gatos whole heartedly. The inn is spotless, food delicious, and Burney and Susan are great hosts.
5 on December 24, 2012
We stayed at Los Gatos in the Finger Lakes off season. We received a warm welcome upon arrival along with a quick tour of the house and 'informational' about the town. The room itself, the Sage Room, was extremely spacious and more than comfortable. Susan and Burney greeted us both mornings with a great, filling breakfast and advice for the day. We are already talking about going back there in the fall!
5 on December 16, 2012
We had a marvelous time! The food was completely homemade, even the condiments!!! Our hosts were more than accommodating, and they ensured we had everything we wanted and needed! We will definitely be back!!!!!!!!!!

Great location for the wine tour get-a-way. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Service is top notch. The hosts are very friendly and will go out of their way to make your stay the best.
5 on November 02, 2012
Burney and Susan are gracious hosts and they're happy to share information about the Finger Lakes to help you make the most out of your visit. The property is beautiful. It might be hard to choose between the Grand Suite in the house and one of the two log cabins. We chose a cabin and spent a cozy two nights.
5 on November 01, 2012
My girlfriend and I stay in early October and the attention from the owners was very hospitable and laid back. We stayed in the Blue room which was immaculate, very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast and company was wonderful. The Pleasant Valley Inn has excellent food.

After reading many positive reviews for Los Gatos, we chose this B&B as our base of operations for this weeklong stay in the Keuka/Seneca area. We were not disappointed. We chose to stay in Cabin #1 (AKA: Casa Verde) and found our accommodations cozy, comfortable and clean. Because my wife and I are both larger than we should be, we would have preferred a King bed, but slept fairly well anyway in the provided Queen. The shower only bath was large and included built-in seats for comfortable lower extremities cleansing. The two chairs provided in the sitting area of the cabin were almost too deeply comfortable, as we found ourselves needing to help each other to get out of them. Burney & Susan were wonderful hosts and provided really delicious, homemade breakfasts with fresh local ingredients, including some from their own extensive, high-tech gardens. The setting is beautiful and bucolic, located in a recently NY State-designated official Mennonite Community. The fact that we stayed here during peak "leaf-peeping" season only made it more colorful and scenic. The location is centrally located for exploring both the Keuka and Seneca Wine Trails and, if you're staying just a little longer, the Cayuga Trail can also be included. There are a good number of adequate to exceptional dining places located within a 30-45 minute drive from the B&B, with several located in the nearby town of Penn Yan. Overall...a very pleasant and satisfying experience which we can heartily recommend to all but the most jaded of travelers.

I spent twelve wonderful days with Burney and Susan at their wonderful B and B. The rooms are large; quiet; comfortable and the beds are made for great sleeping. Burney's breakfasts are remarkable; each day something new and delicious with homemade sorbet, juices, scones, Dutch Babies and Clafuties-on and on-and fabulous. Extra touches of beautiful flowers and often an evening treat with Susan's pies or cakes in the evening. Susan has a contageous laugh that puts everyone at ease. They really go the extra mile for their visitors! I can't wait to return!
5 on October 10, 2012
This B&B was recommended by a friend, so glad we took her advice! Burney and Susan were welcoming from the moment we pulled up. We stayed in a cabin, which we were very pleased with. Breakfast was made from scratch and delightful; dutch baby, french toast, belgian waffles, and homemade jams / syrup was some of the spread. One of my most relaxing trips in years :-)

Just spent an anniversary get away at Los Gatos and didn't leave disappointed. Burney and Sue were great host and cook up some awesome breakfast treats. We stayed in one of the cabins and enjoyed the privacy and relaxation. The location is perfect for those who want to enjoy both Keuka and Seneca Lakes. Los Gatos was everything that it was promised, looking forward to a return trip.

My husband and I and our two friends just returned from a long weekend in the Finger Lakes. This was our second stay at Los Gatos. This time we stayed in the cabins. Great experience. Rooms are clean and lovely. Susan and Burney are very welcoming and knowledgeable about points of interest in the area and the local wineries. Breakfasts are amazing! Fresh homemade jam, jelly, juice - delicious.

My wife and I stayed at Los Gatos B&B the 3rd weekend in July and simply had a wonderful experience. Burney and Susan are exceptional hosts, know the area very well, are extremely accommodating and made us feel at home. If you want to stay in a great B&B, then stay at Los Gatos. You will not be disappointed.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Los Gatos B&B for two nights on our first getaway since having kids eight years ago! You can find no better, more knowledgable, and more attentive hosts than Susan and Burney!! The room was gorgeous and very comfortable. The property was very well cared for and guests are encouraged to roam the expansive grounds and even nibble from the garden! The real story of why Los Gatos is the best place to stay is the care that Burney and Susan put into their guests. The breakfasts are out of this world: I am still dreaming of the Dutch Babies with strawberries! This was our first stay at a B&B and I am afraid nothing will ever compare to this experience! Los Gatos was a wonderful place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beautiful countryside. It was centrally located between Keuka and Seneca Lakes. Burney and Susan were very hospitable and thought of our every need. The facility was clean and welcoming. Breakfasts were creative, delicious and nicely presented. The room was pleasantly furnished and the bed was comfortable. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. What a great find!

My fiancee and I just spent a very relaxing, very peaceful weekend at Los Gatos B&B in the Finger Lakes region. This was our second trip up to the area, but our first stay at Los Gatos. Burney and Susan have a beautiful home and property and are extremely welcoming to their guests. The cabin in which we stayed was especially cozy, well decorated, comfortable, and private. In addition, our hosts provided us with great advice, local knowledge, and excellent breakfasts. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I went for a weekend get away. Located in the middle of wine country it gave us lots of opportunity to quickly get to wineries, a public market and great restaurants. The cabin was perfect for us. Provided us some privacy while still getting the b&b feel. Rooms in the house were great too. (We took a peek). The food was out of this world. Left us full through lunch where we only needed a small snack to make it to dinner. The owners were accommodating on our late arrival and very warm and knowledgeable of the area. Great Value! I promise you will not be disappointed! I can't wait to return!

They take breakfast seriously and it was great. The entire house is unbelievably clean and everyone was so friendly. I definitely recommend it. Also, all the recommendations they made for food and wine were spot on.

My wife and I stayed at Los Gatos this past weekend, and had an outstanding time. Burney and Susan were very welcoming, and the overall experience was great. We stayed in the Sage Room, which was well appointed and made for a comfortable place to relax after being out and about. Breakfast each morning was wonderful - homemade fruit concoctions and jams and other creations really made the meals stand out. There were plenty of extras to make you feel at home and add some wonderful memories to the trip. Los Gatos is highly recommended - we will be coming back!

We've stayed in several hotels and B&B's over the past few years while exploring the wine trails in the Finger Lakes. This was our third visit to Burney and Susan at Los Gatos, and we feel like we're visiting dear friends. The facilities are impeccably kept, the gardens and grounds pristine and the rooms comfortable and well appointed. Susan's warm touches and art/antique choices make for a lovely stay. Burney's breakfasts are worth the trip alone. Convenient to all the lakes and easy navigation between and among them. Burney & Susan also provide great advice on the best places for dining and shopping - including some lesser publicized but terrific places.

A belated review of our second visit to Los Gatos with apologies to Sue and Burney...their hospitality deserves a more timely review. Having said that, we stayed at Los Gatos in early November and were lucky with exceptional weather. We stayed in one of the cabins and had an absolutely wonderful experience, much like our initial visit in the previous February. Sue and Burney always help us feel like old friends and their hospitality in boundless. The cabin is immaculate and very comfortable and only a few steps from the main house where Burney's culinary delights greeted us each morning. A leisurely breakfast with their company is greatly appreciated and Burney always comes up with a special dish to start the day. We love the Finger Lakes and enjoy visiting the wineries and Los Gatos serves as a great home base from which we went to Keuka, Seneca and Cayuga lake wineries. The Baron's recommendations for restaurants in the area is also greatly appreciated as they have a good handle on the better eateries in the region. For a relaxing getaway I couldn't give the Finger Lakes region and Los Gatos B&B a higher recommendation. We will certainly be back.

Beautiful and welcoming B&B in the Finger Lakes. We've stayed at many, and this was a great introduction for our son and daughter-in-law to the B&B experience. The setting, breakfast, and hosts can't be beat. Choose the upstairs suite with the full deck -- what a view of the landscape!

My husband and I have never been to a B & B because we just didn't think it was our taste. Friends of ours made the reservations so we just went along with it. We just loved it. We stayed in their cabins and were so comfortable. Burney and Susan were warm and friendly hosts not to mention Burney's amazing breakfasts each morning. We booked the cabins again for next year before we left! There are several wineries close by and Susan has great tips on what to see and do. You won't be disappointed!

Delightful and caring hosts, delicious and boundless breakfasts, immaculate rooms; an American B&B experience worth telling friends about .
5 on September 06, 2011
This was our first stay at a B & B, so I can't compare it to others, but we loved staying here! Burney made delicious homemade breakfast food & Susan served it with a smile. They are wonderful hosts - not intrusive, but friendly & talkative. The house is beautifully decorated and very clean. I especially loved the cats & garden. The location is close to all the Finger Lake activities.A slight negative was the bed in our room was quite high & a little hard to get into - but I'm short!

We just returned from a 3 night stay at Los Gatos. It was wonderful! The breakfasts were delicious, imaginative, and loaded with fresh fruit and delicious homemade jams. Susan's flowers are beautiful and compliment the warm and sunny surroundings. Susan and Burney were very gracious and attentive to all our needs. The cabins are romantic, beautifully decorated and in perfect condition. We viewed all the rooms and they are all equally beautiful and private. The B&B is the perfect location for quick access to Keuka and Seneca Lakes and is in a peaceful country setting. It was a perfect getaway with warm sunny days and clear cool nights...perfect for stargazing which Burney was more than happy to give us a tour of the night sky! Overall, a very pleasurable experience and I would not hesitate to return to this location!

And I'm not easily convinced to do such things. We loved being able to sip a cup of coffee (or a cup of tea for my wife) early in the day while taking in the views from the deck after a great night's sleep in a clean, comfortable, and private room. To have that followed by a great breakfast by two of the most gracious hosts you could ever meet made our stay perfect. I will not hesitate to book here again!...hopefully soon!

We stayed in Casa Azur for our weekend in the Finger Lakes region. We are not usually bed and breakfast people, but we will definitely stay at this one again, if we are up that way. Bernie and Susan are excellent hosts (and excellent cooks). The cabin was very clean and comfortable and self-contained. The overall property is gorgeous with plenty of spaces for relaxing and enjoying the view. You can float in the pool or sit on the swing and see the stars or pick a strawberry right off the vine. If you get back to Los Gatos in time and the night sky is clear, you can gaze at the stars and get an astronomy lesson from Bernie. The breakfasts were fabulous. We didn't want to eat again until dinner! We'll be back if we come this way again. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I went up to the Fingerlakes for a long weekend and we had such a relaxing visit knowing that Los Gatos was our destination. The breakfast was phenonmenal as was the service. The room was spotless and always ready for when we got back from our tours. I willl definately make this our number one bed and breakfast when visiting. I will highly recommend them to anyone asking where to stay!
5 on July 25, 2011
I have stayed at Los Gatos 3 times so far, and I will be back for more. The rooms are large and comfortable, as are the common areas for guests; all are nicely decorated without being cluttered. Burney and Sue go more than the extra mile for their guests, and the cats who really own the B&B just make the whole experience all the more amazing. But be warned: their breakfasts may spoil you for any other B&B you might stay at. I have yet to find any that even come close to the level of what you will find waiting for you every morning.
5 on July 20, 2011
We were amazed at this bed & breakfast. In fact, the second night we did not go out for dinner, but ordered a pizza for delivery so we could enjoy the amenities. The Innkeepers are doing it all right!!!!

Our Group took all rooms. All normal issues were outstanding, and the icing on the cake was the extras. Since we don't drive our cars dirty, we were provided with car washing facilities. The late night snacks were welcome. We also learned from their innovative gardening and appreciated the homemade menu items.

My wife and I visited the Finger Lakes to tour the many wineries. I stumbled upon Los Gatos after searching several other inns. I'm so glad I found it. We especially loved the cabin, which allowed us to have our own separate space while still enjoying the wonderful main house. Burney and Susan were very helpful in providing advice on where to go and what to do. Burney was always at the front door whenever we returned from an excursion, offering to help carry anything from the car to the cabin. Keuka Lake has lots of stuff, while nearby Seneca Lake has tons of places to visit. We even ventured to Cayuga Lake. Overall we were greatly satisified with our stay.

Recently my wife and I stayed for two nights at Los Gatos Bed & Breakfast. Hosts, Burney and Susan, were made us feel at home right away. Our room was in the main house on the top floor which had a sitting room, private bath and bedroom. We had a beautiful deck which overlooked the Finger Lakes countryside. We sat outside and admired the stars both nights. Our room was clean, well appointed and quiet. Breakfast was extensive and delicious both mornings. The breakfast table was located in the sun porch overlooking the pool. Los Gatos is centrally located and gave us the ability to go different directions each day.

This was my initial experience with a bed and breakfast and the Barons provide a benchmark that would be hard to match. My partner and I decided to explore some wineries in the Finger Lakes and Los Gatos provides a central location for such an adventure. The rooms are tastefully decorated with private baths which gives the guest a real sense of privacy. The house is immaculate and the breakfasts are absolutely delicious. The Baron's warmth and hospitality provide the icing on the cake and their knowledge of the area is helpful for those looking to experience the Finger Lakes to the utmost. We plan to return in the future and would recommend Los Gatos to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable bed and breakfast.

We stayed here in December with friends after the rush of the "Deck the Halls" events and had a wonderful time. The rooms are excellent and the breakfasts are even better! And the special treatment with a freshly baked grape pie....wait I may be starting something here...but it was delicious and I had to comment on it! Thanks again for a great stay.

We were the only guests in early June. What a great place- felt like home! Loved the kitties and the delicious breakfasts. Great hosts...stayed in one of the cabins. One day it was raining and an umbrella magically appeared in the room. We noticed the attention to detail. Wished the restaurants were open later, but we learned to have great lunches and light dinners. Susan did leave us an incredible coffee cake one evening :) We know where we will stay when we visit the Finger Lakes, no doubt about it!

Susan and Burney are gracious hosts who took the care to make sure my diabetic husband had plenty of appropriate choices at breakfast. We would definitely go there again!

Don't let the unassuming look of this property deceive you. The cabins are magnificently comfortable and completely private, and the grand suite was like being in our own private home. Burney and Susan are so humble and genuine and friendly - and OH the BREAKFAST! We returned this year for a landmark birthday celebration and brought both our kids and their spouses - we had the most wonderful time. Burney is a wealth of knowledge on the local restaurants and attractions. Stay here. You will not regret it, and you WILL come back!

The breakfasts were superb and it was very enjoyable to talk to the other guests in such a relaxing atmosphere. The location was super for touring the wineries on both Keuka and Seneca lakes. My husband & I decided on a nice get-away during the fall foliage in the Finger Lakes. We just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary in July but opted for a fall road trip to NY. I started browsing the Internet and after my Pastor's stamp of approval on Los Gatos B & B (he & his wife stayed in one of the cabins)...I checked out their attractive web site and soon booked our 2 night stay! We were in awe with the cabin, amenities...and the grounds were just beautiful. We can't say enough about the Innkeepers, Burney & Susan! The breakfasts were delectable. We enjoyed our stay...cabin and porch were just so quaint...A+! Kudos to Burney & Susan!

What a pleasant surprises. We stayed in the Suite- 2 nice rooms and a bathroom (looks recently updated). Every thing was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was yummy- Susan and Burney even had sugar free syrup on the table (nice touch for the diabetic)! The view was nice. It was a nice location, close to both Keuka and Seneca. The house was full of fresh cut flowers- beautiful! Susan sent me down to her garden on my way out to cut some dahlias for myself! We will be coming back.

We enjoyed sipping our wine on the cabin front porch overlooking the beautiful gardens, after relaxing over a nice lakeside dinner which was recommended by our hosts. Burney and Susan are very gracious to their guests and the breakfast was delicious!!!

My wife and I recently stayed at Los Gatos for the second time. We stayed in the Grand suite, which is the entire second floor and a recently added private balcony. Burney and Sharon are so nice. Breakfast was a hit each morning. Their preserves and homemade apple cider syrup are out of this world. They are very helpful when it comes to planning your day and for local dinner selections. Absolutely loved spending time at the breakfast table with the other guests, also. We'll be sending people there and can't wait to get back ourselves.

This was a sister getaway from our parents for our birthdays. We got away for an overnight without my children. We would be hitting some of the local wineries and doing some tastings. We found Los Gatos online and compared it to some of the other local B&Bs. We loved the look of the little cabins on their property and their breakfast menu sounded wonderful. When I called to make the reservation, Susan was very helpful and even asked about any food allergies. I was grateful she did, because I have many. She said it was no problem that they could accomodate me. When we arrived for our getaway, Burney was there to greet us and gave us a tour. They had a wonderful tasting garden where we sample strawberries, raspberries and fresh tomatoes. They have several cozy places to sit and relax and even complimentary hot and cold drinks for us whenever we wanted them. Our cabin was wonderful with its own air condintioning and cozy design. We sat on our own porch in great rustic rocking chairs with hot tea and rocked until it got dark. Breakfast was at 9:00, but wonderful coffee was ready at 8:00. The breakfast was superb. It started with a frozen fruit slush that was very refreshing and the we each received this huge dutch baby crepe with warm scones and bacon. They make their own jams and we sampled all them along with a wonderful syrup that they make themselves. They gave us time to eat and then came out to chat with us after. We sat on the sun porch with was wonderful. We loved the jams and syrup so much that we both ended up buying some to take home. We had a wonderful time, just what we needed. If we ever came to the area again we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!

Los Gatos B&B was a delightful experience in a beautiful setting very close by to Finger Lakes wineries and good restaurants. Excellent hospitality from our hosts, and delicious breakfasts as well made it a warm and comfortable experience.

My sister and I enjoyed our stay at Los Gatos. Burney and Susan, the owners of the B&B, were very hospitable and welcoming. We stayed in a lovely, first floor, newly remodeled "Blue Room". It was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the living room next to our bedroom for relaxing and reading by the fireplace. We also had an electric fireplace in our room. Very nice. Good breakfast. Beautiful view overlooking Benton Valley. Enjoyed the cats.

My wife and I spent 2 nights in one of the cabins at Los Gatos this past June, as part of a 5 day exploration of the Finger Lakes, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! We had never stayed at a B&B before, and weren’t sure what to expect from the more intimate setting than a normal hotel. But as soon as we arrived, we found Los Gatos to be a warm, inviting, and well appointed B&B, it was really perfect. Also, my wife is vegan, and Susan and Bernie were so accommodating to that in their DELICIOUS breakfasts! The first day we had eggless Belgian waffles (didn’t notice the deletion one bit), along with a variety of spreads and syrups that Susan jars herself, using local fruit! The second day we had an egg dish along with a hearty granola and more fruit. Coffee was super, mornings got off to a really great start, and Penn Yan was a great jumping off point to explore Lake Keuka, Watikins Glenn, Canandeigua, and some other amazing gems of the finger lakes. Susan and Burnie are really magnificent hosts! One afternoon we found Bernie working in the garden, and we had a wonderful discussion about some of his innovative and sustainable garden projects. The grounds are just beautiful, a perfect place to reflect on a day of exploring, or to cool off in the not-too-chlorinated pool. We fell in love with the Finger Lakes and are looking forward to our next trip there...we’ll definitely stay at Los Gatos again!

This was our second stay with Sue and Burney and it was just as good as the first time ! We stayed in the first cabin (casa verde) just like last time and enjoyed just as much. Since I am a photographer and a astronomer I brought along my telescope and camera gear and got a chance to view the awesome open skies behind the property. It was very hot the days we were there so the pool was a welcome relief. The home cooked breakfast each day was also excellent, just like the last time we stayed. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Los Gatos and plan on visiting Sue and Burney's lovely little slice of heaven again in the future.

Our first bed and breakfast experience, but ot our last! Bernie and Susan could not be nicer or more accomodating!! Their B&B is perfect, immaculate and private. A quiet, relaxing, country style atmosphere. Cabins are soo comfy. The breakfasts are the BEST, youll leave wanting more. A definite return vacation.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights in a cabin, "Casa Verde". It was very nice, spacious and clean. The owners go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast is just wonderful, all home-made from stratch. We had to leave early one morning, eith very little notice, and they accomodated us. They had 2 sittings. We would definately recommend and return to Los Gatos!!!!

We've been staying at various B&B's over the past 8yrs, and multiple within our past trip that included Los Gatos two night stay... it was by far the best stay in our trip and looking forward to a reoccurring return. This was more than just a place to stay the night, it was a vacation that was home away from home.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Los Gatos for a memorial day getaway and we defintiely picked the best B&B in the Finger Lakes!! Both Burney and Susan are very friendly and welcoming...and their cats are are equally as nice. The gorunds are beautiful and our room (the sage roome) was spacious and pretty, and the bathroom was very nice. Breakfast both days was amazing, and the chocolate chip cookies in the evening were to die for. The other guests were fun and many of them were return visitors to the B&B, and it easy to see why one would want to come back. I would reccomend this B&B to anyone, it is the perfect combination of attentiveness and privacy, and very relaxing and beautiful.

This is a charming and very well maintained location. Decor is tastefull and functional. This was our first B & B but it wont be our last. The hosts are warm and inviting but appropriately discreat. The location is in easy driving distance to all prominent wineries in the area. Breakfasts were great with many homemade preserves etc. If you're looking for a wine country get away, this is an excellent choice.

Los Gatos was the first B&B I've ever stayed in and it exceeded my expectations. Susan and Burney were outstanding and made us feel so welcome. The breakfast and jams we out of this world!!

Our stay at Los Gatos was wonderfully relaxing and refreshing. We stayed in the Sage room which is very cozy with it's electric fire place and ornately decorated accomidations. The breakfasts were fabulous with fresh fruit, homemade dutch babies and french toast, and tasty sausage. The owners of the B&B define hospitality by always being welcoming, asking how your day was, and allowing you plenty of privacy for a relaxing stay. Visiting here feels like visiting friends in the country and you will be anxious to plan your next trip to this cozy treasure in the middle of the finger lakes wine region.

We (Houstonians) spent 2 nights at Los Gatos at the end of August '09 and found it to be a great base for our Finger Lakes exploration, and everything we had read about Burney and Susan on Trip Advisor and elsewhere proved totally true. The breakfasts really are spectacular, and Burney was also kind enough to set up his telescope and share his expertise with us, which made for a very special memory. All in all a really enjoyable stay.

My boyfriend who is not exactly the computer wizard visit found this B&B online. He booked it as it was a valentines day present for me and after owning a restaurant and bar for 11 years, I sold and this was our first vacation away. I was leary because we had never been there and you always think will I be comfortable or feel awkward etc. I felt like I never left my home. Susan and Bernie are wonderful hosts and knowledgeable owners of the business all the way around. I never ate so well or so much. They knew right where we would love to eat once they chatted with us. They even had cookies waiting for us the night before Valentines Day on our return home. And when I say home I meant, there home. I got a recipe out of Bernie but he wouldn't agree to come back and help me with my projects. Do yourself a favor go and stay take the wine packages tell them what you want and they will do what they do best, entertain and send you in the right direction to where you will be extremely happy. I will never forget Los Gatos or Susan or Bernie thanks again guys will be sending you the homemade pierogies soon. Linda and Brian OH by the way I was expecting a ring this weekend but the vacation made up for it. God Bless

Susan and Burney are great hosts! It's a friendly, comfortable place that we'll return to on our next visit. Burney prepared a different breakfast on each morning of our 4 night stay. All of them rated 4 stars, I especially enjoyed the sides of scones with jam (homemade of course!). Our room was spotless, and we liked the split floorplan which allowed plenty of privacy. We've had mixed experiences at B&B's in the past, but this is one we're already recommending to friends!

Susan and Burney are as warm and welcoming as their inn! We spent the weekend in one of the lovely cabins, enjoyed all the homemade food (outstanding breakfasts and a dessert set out each evening). Los Gatos is perfectly located for visiting wineries and checking out the Saturday morning market (Windmill), and Susan told us about the great auction house just down the road from the inn. We had a great time and will be back!

We stayed with Susan & Burney for 2 nights in mid-Oct for a weekend getaway from NYC. Their B&B is 3 miles north of Penn Yan and the top of Keuka lake, high on the plateau looking east over the farmlands, Seneca and Cayuga Lake glacial cuts. The hosts and the B&B were warm and hospitable, the breakfasts fresh baked, sweet and delicious, and the setting beautiful. Of the 3 house rooms we recommend the top floor suite with the private balcony very highly--great views and the least road noise. The two separate cabins are new, well appointed, with the strong aroma of fresh wood. The hosts own 3 cats so if you have allergies be sure to let them know. S & B are very knowledgeable about the area and have great recommendations for wineries, restaurants and other highlights. We enjoyed our stay with them immensely and recommend the Los Gatos experience very highly.

We shy away from most B&Bs as we value our privacy, even when traveling. The cabins available here attracted us for that reason and did not disappoint as they are immaculate, well appointed and indeed private. Both Burney and Susan are competent, personable and helpful hosts who are available if you need them and respectful of your privacy should you not. The breakfast items were delicious, though the selection was limited. There is much to enjoy on this well kept property and we are more than comfortable recommending a stay here.

This is our third time to the Finger Lakes area. We LOVED this B&B! The cabins are simply awesome. They give you the benefit of more privacy as they are located outside the main house, but they are close enough to the main house to feel connected to the dining area. The hosts, Burney and Susan go out of their way to make your stay special. The wonderful breakfasts were the best we have ever had at a B&B - you will definitely leave feeling like you were in a 5 star restaurant - everything is homemade! The location of the B&B is great for doing your wine touring, as well as visiting the local small towns surrounding the lakes. We will definitely return next year for our fall getaway.

We had a wonderful time at Los Gatos! The photos on their site do not do the B&B justice! Their property is amazing and the view is incredible! I was so excited when we arrived, and after the tour of the house and property we were thrilled that we booked such a great place! I am highly allergic to cats and didn't have any reaction!!! The cats are outside cats, the house is very clean, no cat hair and staying in the cabins were a perfect match for us! It was my boyfriend, friend and her husband that stayed the one bedroom cabins. Susan & Burney make homemade jams and jellies you have at breakfast, and they are also featured at local wineries and restaurants. You can even purchase their fresh roasted coffee and homemade jams and jellies to take home with you. Susan showed us great places to eat, and the wineries that specialized in Red Wine. We had a great time! Lauren & Kevin NJ

Burney and Susan Baron are very gracious, thoughtful hosts whose comfortable accommodations are excellent. Their breakfasts are truly gourmet and reflect a great deal of thought and creativity. Breakfast in the gazebo with its beautiful view of Seneca Lake was a treat. My wife and I also appreciated Burney and Susan's vast knowledge of the area. All of their recommendations for attractions and restaurants were based upon their personal experiences. If the evening sky is clear, do not miss Burney's astronomy lesson.

This was the most enjoyable weekend. We couldn't ask for a nicer hostess and cleaner home. The grounds were just beautiful, I highly recommend it. Great food too!

We stayed in the cabin named Casa Azul. This was the perfect private hideaway with all the benefits of a bed and breakfast. The views and the property are beautiful and the inn keepers take such pride in keeping it this way. We met 2 of the 3 gatos who were sweet as could be. If you are allergic, do not let that stop you as we traveled with a friend who is allergic and she did just fine. You might be better off in the cabins if you do suffer from allergies but really this should not stop you. The breakfasts each morning were delightful. Stuffed Pineapple French Toast, Apple Dutch Babies, Belgian Waffles, fresh sausage, bacon, homemade plum granita, homemade english muffins, and a variety of homemade jams. I believe there was more, but the bottom line is that it was all delicious. The inn keepers were knowledgeable and very helpful with tips for anything you might want to know about the region. We were in search of good dry red wines and all of the places Susan recommended were excellent. Overall, we highly recommend Los Gatos!

This is by far the BEST b&b experience we have ever had. The cabins are pristine, private and so comfortable. Burney and Susan are amazing and and the breakfast --- there are no words, FAR beyond our expectations. This is no continental breakfast and the home-made, cheerfully served breakfast alone makes this a definite return trip.

We like to stay at B&B's whenever we travel. You get so many extras that just can't be found at the chain hotels. Los Gatos has the extras and then some. Every day was special - a fabulous, filling breakfast; beautiful and serene surroundings; hosts who know when to give a hand and when to give you space. The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. The cabins provide additional privacy if that is preferred. A central location makes this the ideal home base for adventures throughout the Finger Lakes region. You are guaranteed a special stay at Los Gatos - Susan and Burney wouldn't settle for anything less!

Beautiful property and wonderful area for star gazing. Burney, the in-house astronomer, will be happy to share his love of the galaxies and invite you to the nightly show in the skies. Susan's love of flowers will surely impress you. Both of the owners are helpful and are ready to make your stay a wonderful experience. We stayed in the blue room and enjoyed our own private quarters. The refrigerator in the common area was well stocked with drinks including wine. Little chocolate treats were both in our room and in the living room of the home. You won't be disappointed staying at The Los Gatos. Yes, we did see a couple of friendly cats. By the way, Burney, also the chef, serves up a delicious breakfast with Susan re-filling any plate that is emptied.

We stayed at Los Gatos B&B in Penn Yan, NY on Thursday evening, June 18, 2009. Burney came out to greet us immediately upon our arrival and made us feel genuinely welcomed as he helped us with our luggage into an oversized & beautifully decorated room. Our first impression of the house was that it was immaculately clean & well maintained with the guests’ comfort in mind. We were the only guests that evening & were given a complimentary room upgrade. The room had A/C, a ceiling fan, TV, a queen sized sleigh bed with excellent mattress, large modern bathroom with a new ceramic tiled shower, elongated toilet, and a large luxury bowl sink built into a refinished antique cabinet as a vanity – all very tastefully done. There was an abundance of amenities from a fully stocked refrigerator with beverages & a beautiful country view. Burney & Susan are lovely and personable hosts. Morning brought a gourmet breakfast with fresh ground coffee specially roasted to Los Gatos specifications, fresh juice, poached pears with a sauce made from Susan’s homemade raspberry jam, followed by homemade English Muffins & Dutch Babies filled with asparagus, ham, & cream sauce topped with cheddar cheese. Burney & Susan gave us just the right amount of private time during breakfast, plus quality time engaging in interesting conversation with them. We toured the property including checking out the new separate cabins which are also available for overnight accommodations. Burney and Susan treated us like old friends as opposed to B&B customers. Los Gatos was centrally located within a convenient drive to all the area attractions and by far the nicest B&B that we stayed at. To sum it up: beautifully immaculate home & property, wonderful people, elegant décor, delicious food, and a great value for your money.

Susan and Burney make guests feel welcomed from the moment we arrive. They both greet us and look after our needs. The site is beautiful and well kept, indoor and outdoor. We miss our pets when we travel, so the Los Gatos cats welcome us and go about their grooming routines without being cuddly. In our 4 visits, the delicious breakfasts has been a different selection each time!

On a cold, winter December afternoon we were warmly greeted by Burney and feline friend "Friskie". We had requested an earlier check-in time and were graciously accommodated. Burney ushered us into the "Sage Room" - perfect in every way. 2 plush reclining chairs, an romantic fireplace, a luxury bathroom, a very comfortable bed and a cat to warm our toes ONLY if we wanted her there (the innkeepers make it very clear that cats are only allowed when the guests request their presence). We were shown where to brew tea, watch TV, have a glass of wine and encouraged to make the house our home. Burney and Susan are masters at being "present without being present" - they seem to appear magically just when you have a question or need something and just as magically disappear when your needs are met. Breakfast (Apple Dutch Baby - NOT TO BE MISSED!) with other guests was delightful. Our only regret was a cloudy evening which prevented star-gazing...but we plan to return. We have stayed in many B&B's in many states and Los Gatos is definitely a keeper!

A spotlessly clean inn with a most welcoming host and hostess. The breakfasts were excellent as were the homemade cookies left for a snack. We definitely recommend his inn.

It hasn't even been two weeks since our trip to Penn Yan, and we're ready to return. It is so easy to get spoiled by the wonderful breakfasts prepared at Los Gatos. Expect great conversations, a beautiful view, and fabulous recommendations for your day's travels. We stayed in one of the cabins, and we couldn't have been happier with our accommodations! We will definitely be returning when we plan our next trip to the Finger Lakes! You couldn't ask for more lovely people than Burney and Susan!

We stayed at The Los Gatos B&B for the Keuka Holiday wine tour. This was our 1st B&B experience and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The accomodations were outstanding. Very comfortable bed, electic fire place and t.v./dvd player in the room. Gorgously updated private bathroom. The owners were very friendly and hospitable. We felt like we were at home. Breakfast was amazing. We expected a continental breakfast but instead we had apple dutch betty, bacon, pears poached in o.j. with raspberry jam, homemade grape juice and cranberry scones with homemade jam. We recomend this B&B to anyone who wants a relaxing, homey feel. We will be back very soon

We enjoyed our stay at Los Gatos. It's very quiet and clean and breakfast was very good. The cabins are very private and practically new. The owners were extremely nice and gave us good local information.

This was our first B&B and we'll definitely return to Los Gatos. The innkeepers, Burney and Susan, were wonderful. We stayed in one of their two cabins. Great location near many wineries and between Keuka and Seneca Lakes. Top notch breakfast. Excellent recommendations given by Burney and Susan for dinner.

You will never come across nicer people than the Barons of Los Gatos Bed & Breakfast. We were greeted in person as soon as we pulled up to Los Gatos, during our trip to the Finger Lakes of western New York. The rooms were extremely clean and inviting. We stayed in the suite, which had a balcony overlooking the beautiful, vinyard-esque, countryside. The suite's balcony included a table and chairs set for two, perfect for evening wine, or morning coffee. We loved being in the suite, but the novelty of the stand-alone cabins has us looking forward to our next visit. A fantastic breakfast consisted of myriad homemade jams, syrups and goodies that complimented the huge, fluffy waffles. I highly recommend Los Gatos B&B for your next visit to the beautiful Finger Lakes region of western New York!

This was our fourth visit to Los Gatos. We keep coming back because Susan and Burney are gracious hosts, the rooms are spacious and well furnished, and the breakfasts are plentiful and delicious. Stayed in the cabin for the first time this year, and would highly recommend it. Very close to Keuka Lake wineries, and Seneca Lake is only a 30 min drive away.

August 2008 On our first trip to this area we were so lucky to stay at this B&B. We stayed in the Grand Suite, had gourmet breakfasts, enjoyed all the people we met and spent time with in the common areas, were offered excellent advice on area attractions and wineries. We asked about a particular area delicacy and were surprised to find it waiting for us in the kitchen when returning from a day trip! You can't get that kind of service at your ordinary B&B.

Los Gatos B&B is a great place to stay. We spent two nights in the Sage Room as guests of Sue and Burney. From the minute we arrived we were treated to their wonderful hospitality. We can't say enough about the homey atmosphere, delicious food and fellowship we experienced during out stay. They were a wealth of knowledge about the area and the wine tasting tour we had come to enjoy. Thank you for making this weekend getaway extra special. We hope to visit you again.

We were visiting our daughter at college and decided to stay in Bed & Break for a change. Our room was unbelievably clean and large. The breakfast both days was 5 star. We have a new place to stay at least the next 4 years.

My wife and I spent one night here while touring wine country. They had no vacancy the other nights we were there, but they called another nearby B & B, so we could make reservations there. We had very friendly conversations with the warm and welcoming owners. The Dutch Baby breakfast was incredible!

We thoroughly enjoyed our entire experience, from the friendly and helpfullness of the Barons to the beautiful views from their windows. The beds were extremely comfortable, the food fabulous, and I thought having beverages available at our disposal was an additional bonus. Every guests privacy has been insured by the layout of the house. Would return and recommend to others.

We choose this BandB because it was located close to fingerlakes wine country and because they welcome amature astronomers to bring along their telescopes to take advantage of the dark skies far from city lights and wide open view. Well let me tell you that they did not dissapoint ! I spent a highly enjoyable evening with the owner gazing at the stars, and captured a very nice image of a beautiful galaxy with my camera equipment. The food, hospitality, views, and accomidations were fantastic ! We will definetly be returning next year ! Joel and Tammy Schmid - Rush NY.

This was an excellent getaway! We stayed in one of the cabins and loved it...completely private but close to everything that we needed, and a cute porch to sit on. The food was spectacular and Burney and Susan were excellent hosts. We especially enjoyed cuddling with Buttercup, one of the resident gatos.

The Finger Lakes are a great location to spend a quiet weekend and recharge your batteries. Los Gatos B&B is a wonderful place to stay while you take advantage of everything the Finger Lakes has to offer. Sue and Burney are perfect hosts. Breakfast was great. The room was beautiful and a great place to just sit and read. The grounds are lovely, we enjoyed a quiet stroll at sunset one night. Having a pool is a bonus not often found at a B&B. There are several common areas (sun porch, dinning room, living room and deck w/ gazebo), making it a great place to meet friends. Thanks Sue and Burney for a lovely weekend.
4.6 on September 08, 2008
This was a most enjoyable place to stay. Burney and Susan were so gracious and helpful giving great info on things we wanted to do in the area (wineries, antiques). Breakfast was scrumptious, the rooms immaculate, and the property was beautiful. I'd definately return!
5 on September 06, 2008
Our three night stay was relaxing and punctuated with fabulous food and great conversation. Visitors during our stay included retired folks passing though and young professionals on a weekend getaway. Burney and Susan are skilled at making you feel at home while they move about preparing a great home made breakfast. The sage room was very comfortable and positioned right off the kitchen so we awoke to the aroma of fresh coffee.
5 on September 02, 2008
What a nice weekend in the Finger Lakes! The area is beautiful and Los Gatos is also. Susan and Burney have seen to every detail to make a visit very enjoyable. The food was delicious, but very healthy, as they prepare most of it from their own or local products. The astonomy aspect was an added bonus for us.

We booked our two night stay at Los Gatos upon the recommendation of good friends. Our expectations were not simply met but far exceeded! The room we stayed in along with the common areas of the house were comfortable, beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the breathtaking view of the countryside from every vantage point at Los Gatos, and were especially thrilled by Burney's amazing introduction to the constellations and galaxies above us on the second night of our stay. Both Susan and Burney were delightful, welcoming hosts and terrific cooks. The breakfasts on the sun porch overlooking the pool and the surrounding farmland were absolutely delicious. We could not have asked for a more relaxing and enlivening two days. We will most definitely be back!

From: A very satisfied customer from Lewiston, NY My dear friend of 40+ years and I decided to go on a girlfriend's getaway at Los Gatos Bed & Breakfast. We had heard of this B&B while staying at another B&B last summer and decided to stay there this year. Since we live approximately 6 hours from each other, this seemed like an agreeable place to stay. We are both teachers and needed a place that was comfortable, homey and the proprietors were friendly and helpful. We were not disappointed in the least. Susan and Burney are lovely hosts and helpful in many ways. They knew the wineries, restaurants and local places to visit and shop. We enjoyed the fact that we were able to check out the other 2 rooms in the house as well as the 2 cabins on their property used for guests. Loved having their cats around and will definitely return in the future.

We spent 3 days as guests at Los Gatos, located close to the village of Penn Yan. Our comfortable room was clean and very homey. Sections of their spacious home may be closed off at night to offer guests privacy. Burney and Susan will treat you to a terrific breakfast with selections that probably will not be repeated for your stay. Home made muffins and jams add a nice touch to their gourmet meals. Although on a state highway, our stay was quiet and restful. You may hike in the morning, lounge around the pool during the day, and marvel at the dark night sky after sunset. Burney often shares views of the heavens with visitors who are interested in his astronomy hobby. This is a great location to conduct day trips around the finger lakes region. Host Burney recommended Bully Hill winery and it was a hoot! The cats are an added bonus for animal lovers. We stayed in early August and found the days comfortable and the nights cool - cool enough to turn off the air conditioning, open our room windows, put the ceiling fan on low, and sleep restfully with the fresh country air. Every aspect of our stay was nice and we plan to return some day.

My wife and I have not vacationed in several years, and we felt in staying with Susan and Burney at Los Gatos, that we hit the jackpot. The cabin we stayed in was beautiful, and close enough to the main house that we only had to walk a few steps to get there. The property is situated on a hill above the town of Penn Yan, and although it was not on the lake, the gorgeous panoramic views of the valley looking east toward Seneca Lake are not to be missed. Burney and Sue made us feel very welcome, and gave us wonderful recommendations for restaurants and activities. I concur with other reviewers that the breakfasts were wonderful. In short, this is a can't miss bed and breakfast experience. We will definitely be back.

Los Gatos is great!!!! Burney & Susan are so nice and really make you feel welcome. The breakfasts are outstanding and the cabin was wonderful, it was so relaxing and private...we didn't want to leave. We will recommand Los Gatos to all our friends and we will be back for another visit.

Bernie and susan do it right. Not only can they entertain and cook, they are two unique and caring people. My boyfriend and i picked wild rasberries on their property. I explained to bernie that my father and i loved picking them and it was one of our favorite pastimes. The next morning susan served us fresh sorbet in their outdoor gazebo with rasberries bernie picked the night before.

Los Gatos is definitely worth a visit! This was our first stay at a B&B and we found it amazing! Our hosts, Susan and Burney, were friendly, helpful, and accommodating, but not overbearing. They offered helpful information and recommendations when asked. Their rooms and cabins are lovely, lovely! When my husband was busy at a nearby workshop, Susan and her mother took me to a nearby produce auction house and a bulk food store. How thoughtful and kind! The grounds of their B&B are beautiful and restful, their little sunroom is inviting with free beverages, and breakfasts are bountiful and delicious. Lots of friendliness, but enough privacy also. The area is gorgeous with plenty to see and do. The two night package with the gift voucher, to be used in the area, is definitely worth the value. Los Gatos is the place to stay for a wonderful experience in the agriculturally beautiful, antique, and wine trail region of the Finger Lakes, especially the Penn Yan area. Thank you Susan and Burney for a great, great visit!

My husband and I wanted to get away for a few days before we visited the family in western NY, I booked the cabin for 2 nights and it was fantastic. Susan and Burney were some of the friendliest people we have ever met. The B & B was relaxing and welcoming. The breakfasts kept us full till dinnertime. The next time we need a break we will head to Los Gatos again. Thanks for the wonderful time.

My wife and I were in the area during the summer for a wedding and decided to stay an extra night to celebrate our one year anniversary. I don't think we could have chosen a better place to stay. Burney and Susan were both incredibly friendly and very accomodating. We had a good idea about what we wanted to do during our stay (kayaking and a nice dinner), but no idea how to go about doing it. Burney had to perfect suggestions regarding where to go and who to talk to. I also can't say enough about the cabins. The two cabins that Burney and Susan have built are amazing. My wife still can't stop raving about them - quaint and modern. Breakfast was equally amazing and absolutely delicious. We ate in the gazebo. I would certainly recommend Los Gatos to just about anyone looking for a relaxing time in a great location.

We spent a week and found lake areas to explore, fun restaurants, and wonderful crafts and quilts. Would definitely visit again!

Breakfast was delicious and the grounds overlook beautiful farmlands. Los Gatos is also conveniently located a few minutes from Penn Yan--you are in the country but minutes from the wineries. We would love to stay there again.

We stayed two nights in the cabin for our 21st wedding anniversary and were quite pleased. Breakfast, as cooked by Burney, each day was phenomenal. The room was spacious with lovely decor: a beautiful bed, table for dining, flat panel TV, and two easy chairs. The privacy of the cabin was appreciated. Nice touches included fresh roses, chocolate candy in a dish, and water bottles in the in-room fridge. Wine glasses were also provided which allowed us to eat pizza one night in the room while quaffing one of the wines purchased on our trip. We appreciated Burney and Susan's willingness to help like providing advice on wineries and places to visit as well as calling the restaurant to say we were running late. Gardens and property for enjoying quietly or walking. Will definitely visit again and again!

This was our second stay with Burney and Susan and we will most certainly be booking with them again on our next trip to the region. The Grand Suite was the perfect "home away from home"! Beautiful country views from the balcony, where you can sit and relax with "Frisky", one of the friendly trio of cats that live there. If you're visiting at the right time of the year Burney will have his telescope out and you'll get an enjoyable astronomy lesson. The breakfasts are always highly anticipated and a great way to start off the day! When your stay is over, usually way too soon, you can take some of the flavor of those great meals home with the jams & coffees that are available from their gift selections. Los Gatos B&B is truly a pleasant experience. Jim, Di & Amanda

We were fortunate to stumble upon Los Gatos several years ago while looking for a B&B near the Finger Lakes wine trails. We found a very welcoming, comfortable place and 2 wonderful hosts. The rooms are all beautifully decorated by Susan. Each has it's own color theme with local, handmade quilts, comfortable sitting areas and fully appointed bathrooms that are as nice as any top rated hotel. The breakfasts are fabulous, complete homemade (including homemade English muffins some mornings) and served in the gazebo by the pool as the weather allows. Susan and Burney are very knowledgeable about the area and wine trails, giving us great recommendations on good restaurants and shops to visit. We have stayed with them several times now, and quite frankly since we found Los Gatos, have no desire to stay anywhere else!

This nicely situated Bed and Breakfast sits a short drive north of Penn Yan, NY. It is far enough off the highway for road noise to be unobtrusive, was affordable and overlooks farm country betwixt it and Seneca Lake. The suite we stayed in was nicely decorated, quite clean and 'homey'. Both Innkeepers were very helpful on any matter of travel and local activities we could ask about. They struck a wonderful balance of being helpful, but not intrusive. We enjoyed observing the stars at night with Burney's telescope and in the mornings savored breakfasts expertly prepared and served. Finally, on our departure we were able to purchase some of the delicious coffee we had as well as some of the jams and syrups that were served. Overall, Los Gatos was a wonderful B & B and had equally wonderful innkeepers. From the (much) better-than-restaurant quality breakfast to the helpfulness of Burney and Susan we would recommend this without reservation.

Burney and Susan Baron have created a warm, friendly, family-like atmosphere at their B&B. The home and surrounding grounds are beautiful. You will be thrilled to see the gorgeous flowers that Susan has expertly planted and maintained. These fresh flowers are arranged and placed daily in each guestroom. We stayed in the blue room. The bed, covered with lovely linens, was very comfortable. Two fabulous chairs, with a matching footstool, made a great place to read. Our bathroom was clean and bright. There were soft towels, a hair dryer and a basket containing soaps, shampoo and lotion for our use. We had lots of privacy. Off the kitchen is a sunroom which overlooks the pool and gazebo (which was often the place we had our breakfast each morning). Complimentary beverages were always on hand for our use. We looked forward to Burney and Susan's wonderful breakfasts in the mornings. During our four day stay, we were treated to homemade dishes including fluffy waffles, fruit-filled dutch babies, quiche, scones, and a sampling of their homemade jams and syrups. After tasting the apple cider syrup, we may never go back to maple again! We highly recommend this bed and breakfast. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay and look forward to returning!
