Our stay was very pleasant at Harlem B & B. Kellyn was there when we arrived and brought us to our room. The room was very beautiful. Very much a NY Brownstone atmosphere. She took us on an awesome area tour. I recommend everyone to take her up on her tour. We are a/c snobs so the room was a little warm for us but it wasn't horrible. The ceiling fan needs some service but we were able to use it with some sounds coming from it. We visited a few places from our tour. Great advice. Check in and check out are easy. Our room was very clean. The shower is very small but very cute. We would stay here again and we would recommend this place to friends. Kellyn is sweet and her place is great. We never heard or saw anyone else during our two day stay except for Kellyn.

My daughter and I visited New York for her graduation gift and my birthday! It was so easy getting to the Harlem Grand. The hosts were so warm and so friendly. It was the perfect place for us. The house is beautiful. Each time we stepped in we found something new to admire. WE were located near everything...Fresh food, soul food, Best Market, Coffee house, Red Rooster, Street Bird. We recommend The Harlem Grand! Thank you, Kellyn! Your spirit and finesse is what makes that place special. Until next time...Mary and Cheyanne

I spent a wonderful week at Harlem Grand and I felt like " Home ". My lovely decorated room was on the top floor with ensuite bathroom and a little kitchen around the corner. It was cleaned every 2nd day and fresh linen ( towels ) were also provided. Also positive :a TV flatscreen, a hairdryer and free WIFI. The house was very quiet, no noises during the night. The area itself is very safe. Grocery shops, a bank and the Subway are all in walking distance. My host was very friendly and helpful. Thank you Kellyn and " V " .I can recommend Harlem Grand to 100 %.

We had a fantastic stay at the Harlem Grand, August 4-7th. The location was perfect and the room was beautifully decorated and had the most comfortable bed, we wish we could have stayed longer just to enjoy the room we were in. There was easy access to transportation and we were able to get everywhere we wanted to go including late hours, easily. Our lovely host gave us a tour and invaluable information on places to dine and visit in the area and her recommendation were excellent. I hope they have availability for my next visits to New York. I recommend the Harlem Grand without hesitation.

we stayed a few days in April in Harlem Grand. It was a nice room and we felt very comfortable there. Kellyn was very polite and she showed us the neighborhood and gave is very helpful tips. Near the Harlem Grand are the subway and bus station and so its very easy to go reach the sights or NY.

We stayed here last August and were amazed by the place. It is charming and has a lot of character. Our room was beautiful and had everything we needed. We got a tour of the neighbourhood when we arrived, which was very thoughtful. We were very close to the subway and bus stations. Grocery stores, bakeries, and small shops were close by. I'm not sure what they use to wash their linens and towels, but they smelled soo good! They only minor issue was the wifi. We had to go downstairs to get proper wifi otherwise it worked here and there upstairs. Also, they replaced our towels and made our beds, every other day, I think. The owner was also very quick to respond to any emails as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Quiet New York City Neighborhood
New York, NY (LGA-LaGuardia) 17 miles miles
The determining issue, aside from budget, may be your level of fatigue, time, weight of luggage and weather. You can take a yellow cab from LaGuardia and tell the cab driver you're going to Manhattan. Or, you can find your way down to baggage claim and walk outside and find the M60 Bus. Once you get on the bus tell the driver you'd like to get off at St. Nicholas Avenue. Once you get off of the bus walk downtown to 122nd Street. I suggest taking a cab from Newark and JFK airports however, you may elect to take the Subway to Harlem Grand. Should you select to take the Subway, you will need to handle your luggage up and down at least 4 standard flights of stairs, walk a fair bit with your luggage in tow and you will be travelling and transferring on the subway for about an hour and 15 minutes once you enter the subway system. With a cab, you simply walk out of the terminal, wait for a taxi and within 25 minutes you'll arrive at Harlem Grand.
