Positives—this was a great value for the summer sojourn. The Riverknolls cottage was clean, spacious and private. The on-site restaurant was nice and convenient. The spa was restful. Negatives—this place seems to lack management. Very y

My husband and I have been going to Buttermilk Falls for years. We love it, it has only gotten better over the 13years we have been going there.

The spa treatments were amazing. Both Dana Maria and Kara were fantastic. Their professionalism, experience and just their overall friendliness was great. The only sad thing about the spa was the "communal" changing room. Henry's Restaurant was absolutely fantastic! The wait staff was friendly and made you feel at home. The meals themselves were very delicious! I was disappointed with the inn. I was told they'd help me with my luggage, given a map and then dismissed with no help. I was in the Maynor Flat and walked up a set of stairs that hadn't been swept in months. I was navigating cobwebs! Stairs should be kept clean especially if they are being used by guests. There were instructions etched on the door on how to open, close and "jimmy" the door in order to make it work. The room across from the flat had the same instructions. Please fix the lock! The TV remotes did not work properly. The staff attempted, even changed the batteries upon suggestion. In the end they still didn’t work. Other than making the bed and replacing the towels, I don't think the bathroom was cleaned. The garbage by the toilet wasn't removed, the toilet tissue wasn't replaced, and I don't think the floor was swept or washed. As for the shower, please clean the window as no one wants to see cobwebs and the remains of an insect. I waited almost 15-20 minutes at breakfast before staff acknowledged me. Please work on their greetings and how they should interact with your guests. Some niceties go a long way! Otherwise, breakfast was delicious. Lastly, I went to the front desk about early checkout and how it was handled. I also asked if I could possibly have something to take with me in the morning for breakfast. I was told to just drop my key on the desk and maybe we could give you a stale bagel or something. NO THANK YOU

This is my fourth time at Buttermilk and every experience has been the best of the best. The first time I was on a mother/daughter weekend. Followed by a retreat with 15 faith leaders And then 2 more times on my own. Each time I was impressed by the beautiful spaces and the kind staff. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE!

We were 4 friends from college getting together for a couple of days. Buttermilk Falls Inn provided us with the perfect spot to relax, catch up, and enjoy things to do in the area. The cottage we stayed in was lovely. We could hang out in the living room or on the deck overlooking the Hudson. Beautiful!

I took my mother here as a mothers day gift for us to get away for the night. All the staff was great, the grounds beautiful, rooms are clean and food fantastic! Was too hot so lamas were hiding. Recommend remembering bug spray if you are out and about for a walk in the warmer weathers.
