Millbrook Country House is an 1808 historic house set in parklike grounds within walking distance of the Village of Millbrook, the center of Dutchess County’s horse country. A dining patio outside overlooks English-style gardens, while indoors fine 18th-century Italian antiques, fireplaces in side-by-side parlors, and four distinctively decorated guest rooms, all with private bath, create a comfortable blend of relaxed charm and sophistication.

The best part, truthfully, is the adventure of meeting all the many and diverse people who stay with us. We love hearing peels of laughter from the dining room at breakfast (or the garden in fine weather). (Our cats do not circulate in the main house, by the way, when we are aware of having guests who have allergies. And our housekeeping is very thorough!) Giancarlo and I do 99% of the inn-keeping and food preparation ourselves. Speaking 4 languages between us, we welcome guests form overseas.
