Stunning architectural mansion nestled into the hillside of a quaint village. Just minutes off the NYS Thruway but accommodations on a scale that will amaze you. Tucked into a private estate but within walking distance to local amenities. The property has many local attractions to keep our visitors busy. Near the Cooperstown Hall of Fame, Herkimer diamond mining, rock climbing on Moss Island, Turning Stone Casino, and the Erie Canal are just a few things. The property is known for it's historic luxurious feel. The Mansion is highly sought after for weddings and other events for this exact reason

I reserved rooms for wedding guests and the bride and groom for my son's wedding. Every day they reported that the spacious and relaxing rooms had beautiful views; and that the host and hostess treated them like family. In addition and most importantly, they thoroughly enjoyed their breakfast meals catered to their special requests. It made me feel good to have reserved these accommodations for them.

This was a wonderful, short, stress relieving trip. Mick and Margaret were very welcoming and warm hosts. The location was serene and scenic. And the food was excellent. Thank you.

This is a rare gem. The house is simply stunning. We felt welcomed and at home from the second we walked in the door. I can not wait to stay again. Oh, and the best fluffiest omelet I've ever had!

My wife and I were fortunate to find Overlook Mansion. We were looking for a B&B in upstate NY for a night and we made an excellent choice. Innkeeper Jim is a terrific host and will give guests a great tour of the place and tells a nice story about Little Falls and the original owner of the Mansion, D.H. Burrell. The current owners of the mansion put a tremendous amount of work into restoring the building and I can imagine a great deal of the original charm and majesty from when it was built in the 1880s is alive and well in 2014. The Mansion is stately to say the least and when we entered the main foyer we could tell right then that this was a truly unique B&B experience. My wife is an early riser and Jim had the coffee ready to go by 545 AM for her on the Saturday morning we had breakfast. Jim and Jonathan served a fine breakfast and Jim even brought in a breakfast treat with candles to celebrate my wife's birthday. He made a special trip to a local bakery in Little Falls to find this delicious breakfast pastry. The reconstructed porch is fantastic and provides a nice view of the city of Little Falls and the Mohawk River Valley. I wish we could have spent another night at the Mansion. I would highly recommend that people should stay at the Overlook Mansion. My wife and I would definitely stay there again.

We rented all five rooms at Overlook Mansion for the weekend when our son and daughter-in-law got married at Beardslee Castle. The service was great, and the made-to-order breakfasts were fantastic! Jim is friendly and super-accommodating, but not at all intrusive. We could not have hoped for a better experience!

We were met by our host Jim. He gave us a tour of this mansion room by room and ended up at our room. They were eager to please and very energetic. We had a great stay and the property was very well kept up and I would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast since we stay at many bed and breakfast around the country

If you have ever wished to stay in magnificent surroundings with the world far below you this is the place. We stayed several nights during the weekday and had the mansion to ourselves. The host could not have been more accommodating, the breakfasts more delicious and the ambiance more spectacular if you dreamed it. David Burrell's former home could not be in better hands, his legacy lives on and you have a great opportunity to enjoy every minute of it.
