Eric and Valerie are very personable and welcoming hosts who make you feel truly feel as if you were staying with long time acquaintances. The breakfasts were delicious and we enjoyed the morning conversations with other guests. We recommend that those contemplating travel to the Hyde Park area place Kourney Inn on the list of best places to stay.

The location in downstate NY is perfect for those who want to venture out for historical meanderings in museums, parks, and preserves. The B&B provides a private refuge after spending the day exploring. The hosts are welcoming and interesting to speak with, providing suggestions and engaging in conversation. What a varied array of minds and experiences was shared at the morning breakfast table when guests gathered. The house is clean, beautiful, and quiet - with 6 guest rooms! Would definitely book again.

We had a one night stay at the Journey Inn and were very appreciative that we we able to make a reservation for one night in the middle of summer. We also needed an early check in. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by Valerie and Eric and were able to check in. Over a 40 year period we have stayed in multiple bed and breakfasts and these inkeepers were by far the most cordial and accommodating The breakfast was delicious!! Give the Journey our highest recommendation!

The accommodations were cozy and comfortable. We met up with friends to tour the Hyde Park area and stayed for two nights. The breakfasts served were outstanding. The owner went out of her way to make a creative and delicious breakfast, which was served family style - on par with the Culinary Institute right down the street. We really enjoyed our stay!
