We stayed at the Savannah House the week prior to Memorial Day weekend and we were very glad we did. The room was like a country cottage and the owners, Brenda and Pat couldn't have been nicer. The Inn is conveniently located to many wonderful wineries and close to Watkins Glen. We would stay here again in the future.

My husband and I decided to spend the weekend away for our anniversary and so began our search of the various places to stay on Seneca Lake. We decided on The Savannah House Inn, and chose the jacuzzi suite! The room was very clean and very cozy. Everything was on point. From the tranquil music (which we kept on all weekend), the books and tea !! It was very relaxing and peaceful. And let's not forget the beautiful view from our balcony. It was a great weekend and we will be back next year ! Thank you ! The Dieter's from Bangor PA.
We have wonderful guests all the time - every year - and you were one of the nicest. Your appreciation, and that of so many others, of our place is the main reason we have continued for so many years. Brenda and the housekeepers spend a great deal of time preparing the rooms, so your comments mean a lot. As you know, we have an enormous and very scenic property overlooking the lake, which our guests like very much. We're delighted that you felt the same. We enjoy it as well - every day - even in winter. Thanks for staying with us and for commenting.

The suite was a nice size and clean. It was nice and quiet and out of town which we wanted. The kitchen utensils were limited - no sharp knife and no kitchen towel but fine to handle take-out. The hosts were pleasant and helpful. The water had sulfur and was probably treated so I was glad I had my own drinking water. The dining code was required and they did provide morning coffee but nothing else.
It was great having you stay with us, and thanks for commenting. FYI - we do have additional items like you mentioned that you were missing, and they are available upon request. I'm sorry for whatever inconvenience you experienced. As for the water, like everyone in this area, we are on a well which is monitored every month by the Dept of Health, and always exceeds their requirements. It is an expensive state of the art system that we installed when we redid the inn. Occasionally those who are not used to this type of system will find it different than what they're used to at home. We've been drinking the water for 10 years without a problem - so it is perfectly fine to drink.

If you are looking for a affordable quaint place to stay with friendly property owners this is your place. There is no dining available but they do have a microwave in the room and a grill outside. The grill is by the fire pit which is lit each night where all the guests gather. Each night scented candles are lit outside of every room where there are two chairs and a table. Although the Savannah House is located and close to the main road which leads you to either major town there is a vineyard across the street to view while outside. We will be coming back to the Savannah House.
Thank you very much. Wonderful guests. We hope to see you soon.

This is a cozy and comfy inn. The rooms are clean and made decorated with care. This is a great place to stay if you would like to spend most of your time wine tasting. It is the perfect location, right in the middle of all the best winery's. Brenda and Pat are gracious and attentive. They provided us with recommendations and accommodations to have dinner under stars. They have a fire pit going every night. Wifi connection is great and coffee is ready for you in the morning.
It was a pleasure having you stay with us, and thank you for taking the time to write your comments.

We spent a long couples weekend away over the Labor Day weekend and were very happy with The Savannah House Inn - will definitely return! The room was clean, smelled of lavender (could be because we stayed in the lavender room) and were pleased with the comfortable bed! Pat and Brenda were very welcoming and the coffee and tea provided in the morning was delicious! Having a mini-refrigerator and microwave in the room was nice to have - especially when you buy cheese from the wineries and want to keep it cold. Thank you, Pat and Brenda for a pleasant stay. - Harrisburg, PA couple
We enjoyed your extended stay and getting to know you both. You may want to consider one of our cottages next time. Thank you for your comments.

We staid there for 2 nights. Place is very clean, rooms are small but ok just for spending the night. The location is not that great, right on the highway- very noisy at night. There is a lake view, but can't walk there - everywhere private properties. About 15 min driving distance to the Watkins Glenn park. Also 30 min to Geneva. We enjoyed the place, but 3 days was enough.
If one were to look at our web site and/or read our Trip Advisor reviews, the information there would be very much at odds with this guest's comments. Every year we are rated #1 in this area on Trip Advisor. Many of our guests have commented that they chose our place because it is centrally located to the wineries and vineyards - and the nearby towns - and because it is beautiful and peaceful here compared to places they have stayed in the towns. This guest failed to comment on the fact that while here, they sat outside and walked about on our very scenic 26 acres, and seemed to enjoy it. We overlook the lake, and there are cottages in front of us at the lake front. Those cottages, naturally, are all private property. It is a short walk on a paved road right beside us to get to where the cottages are, or one can take our trail through our woods to where the lake and cottages are. We are the only inn in the area that has such a trail, or has lake front cottages. We are 13 minutes from Watkins Glen State Park/Gorge, and Race Track, 13 minutes from Penn Yan, 20 minutes from Geneva, 6 minutes from Dundee, and 20 minutes from Hammondsport. There are 20 wineries and 4 microbreweries within 10 minutes of us - two in walking distance. Nearly every single place to stay or winery or micro brewery is located on this road, just like we are, but unlike the accommodations in the towns, our guests can sit outside in peace, or sit by the nightly fire at our fire pit. This guest also took advantage of a special deal we had that saved them $70/night, which sounds like a good deal and a good value. As is usually the case with guests who have issues, this guest never said a word while they were here - did not ask for directions or information - and was new to the area, so they had no knowledge of what the other options were like for accommodations. If they had, they would have known that, while we serve fresh ground gourmet coffee and tea each morning, those wanting breakfast go to a location about 3 1/2 minutes away. If one reads our Trip Advisor reviews they will see that our previous guests over and over cite service, cleanliness, and location as "5 stars". We try very hard to provide a very good experience for all of our guests, including this one - but once in a while, no matter what we do, there are a very few who are not fully satisfied. This is disappointing for us. We're sorry anytime a guest does not have a great time here. In this case, things that disappointed this guest vary quite a bit from actuality, and what many other previous guests have said. We can't correct what nearly every guest loves about our Inn.

We stayed here with our 11 month old for the summer long weekend. Such a beautiful and clean place. Also so conveniently located to all the wineries. The owners Pat and Brenda are such warm and caring people, we felt right at home! Highly recommend this place for a pleasant and relaxing stay while in this neighborhood. We may be back soon for another weekend getaway.
It was a pleasure having such nice guests, and it was great getting to know you. We hope you do come back. Thank you
