A historic Inn, Magnolia Place was brought to life in 1837, as a farmhouse overlooking beautiful Seneca Lake, in what is now considered New York’s Finger Lakes region. Perfectly nestled in the heart of some of New York’s finest vineyards and wineries, between the Finger Lakes wine country and beautiful Seneca Lake, only minutes from Watkins Glen International Raceway and a short drive from Cornell University and local outdoor activities, restaurants and attractions, Magnolia Place provides the perfect balance between modern elegance and historic charm.

Our friends recommended Magnolia Place in Hector. We were welcomed by Patrick the resident pup. We found the B&B cozy and felt like home away from home. Very clean, superbly decorated, close to so many wineries and waterfalls. Perfect for our chasing waterfalls vacation. Beautiful view of Seneca Lake.

My husband and I traveled from PA to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary at the Magnolia Place Bed and Breakfast. From the time we arrived until we left, the service was superb!!! From dining recommendations to a fantastic breakfast - they did not disappoint! Our room was beautifully appointed and very clean! Everything was fantastic! Our only regret was not staying longer!!!

The Magnolia Bed and Breakfast was a wonderful place for our anniversary. The house itself is lovely and our room was beautiful and clean, The Lilac Room had a front porch and scenic view and the hosts were excellent chefs as well as gracious people. I took several cards to share with co workers in Ohio. I would love to back again! Thank you for a relaxing weekend!

Magnolia Bed and Breakfast was a wonderful respite from the hectic work week. The house was clean and beautifully appointed. Our hosts were gracious and the food was outstanding. I took lots of cards to tell others about our relaxing wonderful stay! The front porch and cookies at bedtime were definite highlights!

Although the location right on a main road initially scared me, the room was beautiful, and relatively quiet. The morning breakfast could not be beat!

My wife and I are repeat guest at Magnolia Place because it is always a wonderful stay. The owners are warm and welcomeing while giving us the space we desire. Breakfast are always well prepared, diverse and delicious. The location is very convenient to some excellent restaurants, tasting rooms and breweries. The location is also central to the lakes making trips to the other lakes a short drive.

It was a wonderful experience! The breakfast was delicious!
On the ground floor, lilacs and sturdy pine of the Suite enhances both the masculine and feminine side of any couple…a sofa, TV and fireplace for him, pale lavender and green décor and a romantic four poster queen bed for her, plus an ensuite Jacuzzi for both. On the veranda, a table and chairs just outside the Suite’s private entrance is a great spot for morning coffee or toasting each other with Finger Lakes wine while the sun sets over Seneca Lake.
With lake and vineyard views from two large windows across from the four poster queen bed, with a private access door out to the veranda, the room’s beautiful whites, crèmes, and chocolate brown hues, envelope guests in southern glamour evoking balmy nights in Charleston. With a glass of champagne and an ensuite Jacuzzi bath being drawn, prepare to unwind in slow southern style
The Magnolia Suite. In the upper central part of this 1830’s house is Magnolia Place’s reason for being! The Suite has lofty ceilings, and its queen mahogany bed sits below a shear canopy facing the room's fireplace. Within the Suite is a separate bathroom with shower, plus an additional Jacuzzi room. From the bedroom, Sliding doors open onto the Suite’s own veranda seating ready to receive the visiting couple for morning coffee or a glass of wine when twilight descends on theFinger Lakes. Art work, net bed canopy and Magnolia accents hint of a Gone with the Wind grand era of peace and tranquility.
Reminiscent of bluebells, cornflowers, sky and water, the bold blue décor with pale yellow and white flower accents, creates a calm and sophisticated setting from the busy day.The Seneca room provides a queen four poster bed with with lovely floral curtains and valance to cuddle up under for a good nights sleep. With its ensuite bath, and private access leading to Seneca Lake and vineyard views from the sweeping veranda, the Seneca Room is a secluded true-blue retreat
Deep burgundy, dark wood, and rich opulent plaids lends to the atmosphere of an Old World ‘study’ tucked away in the rear of the winery where the vintner sits at the desk going over wine production for the season, indulging in a glass of Reserve. With a king bed, and en suite bath, there is nothing Old World in accoutrements…after all what’s a study without a flat screen TV and wireless Internet!
Vineyard inspired art work, a suggestion of lacy ironwork and vineyards in twilight. Including an en suite bath, The Vineyard Room’s comfy king bed can be separated to accommodate two friends or relatives traveling the Seneca Lake Wine Trail or perhaps exploring the waterfalls and forests of the lake region. Vineyard guests can still ‘stay in touch’ with the real world via a flat screen TV and wireless Internet, if they must!
Sophisticated butt cozy in deep greens, reds and mahogany, this vintage inspired room evokes yesteryear while the queen four poster brass bed retains the comforts of today. The Rose private bath is only three steps from the door alcove. Just as in 18th century novels, there is a private door leading onto the room’s own veranda area where one can catch the evening breeze with a glass of wine, and engage in genteel conversation.
Leafy green and white décor with a few nautical accents sets the scene for the lovely bay window views of vineyards and the lake in the distance, through lush green treetops. From the comfort of your queen bed, cozy in luxury bathrobes, just across the hall is The Lake Room’s private spacious bathroom. Step out on the large second story veranda from your own room access door, with morning coffee or a twilight glass of wine, to breathe in the expansive view of sunshine, sails and sunsets.
