Pattie and Margaret are fantastic hosts. The location is perfect along with the views. Our Balcony room was wonderful. Never wanted to leave the soaking tub. Breakfast was phenomenal each day! It was our Anniversary & they even put candles on our plates. Can't say enough about the exceptional treatment.

Something about the Chalet enchanted me before we even visited. Perhaps the sense of outdoors, the rustic but none-the-less comfortable setting, and the extraordinary breakfasts we read about prepared by the owners/hosts, Pattie and Margaret. Everything was delightful. The grounds, the warmth of their home, our room, Woodview Suite, the deck and the common space were all as promised and more. Pattie and Margaret were charming, offered great suggestions, and prepared exquisite multi-layered breakfasts served on an expansive porch overlooking the woods and their pond, where we also enjoyed tea and special deserts by the fire in the evening. Grateful for their suggestion to revisit Letchworth State Park which proved to be thoroughly enjoyable. Fantastic gorges to walk with beautiful vistas. The chalet was a definite WOW!

By now you've probably read all the glowing reviews of this place here and elsewhere. I have to say those reviews are well deserved. This place is very special. It's one of the nicest places we've every stayed. The facility itself is a beautiful log cabin inn, nicely furnished with verdant grounds. The breakfasts were gourmet 3 course extravaganzas with the just the right amount of food. But, the best part of our stay was our hosts. Pattie and Margaret were warm, gracious and attentive to all the details. They went out of their way to make their guests feel at home. I highly recommend the Chalet and hope to return someday.

We chose to stay at the Chalet of Canandaigua because of its excellent ratings, and it did not disappoint. Everything, from the moment we walked in the door, was superb: the food, the personalization, the room. We plan to make a return visit and highly recommend the C of C.

It was a great place. If you like TV Cable you are limited. The breakfast was superior and they meet the request of food allergies. It was such an amazing experience. Highly recommend you spend some time at the chalet.

We spent two evenings at the charming Chalet of Canandaigua - it was a very enjoyable experience. After we made our reservation, Patty reached out to inquire about any special needs that we have - I am a vegetarian so I was pleasantly surprised to have been asked. The chalet is bucolic and cozy – it sits well off the road and on a hilltop with lovely views of the property, it is very quiet and relaxing. It is located in an area convenient to explore much of the Finger Lakes Region. Our room, the Balcony suite, was extremely spacious, clean and comfortable. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Margaret who gave us a tour and then sat with us to explain many things to do and places to visit - she even provided a map. Since we stayed on a Saturday and Sunday, she outlined our dining options, explaining that some restaurants were not open Sunday - once decided they made our reservations. Each morning before heading out, we enjoyed a substantial breakfast on the porch – Patty and Margaret share the cooking and do a great job! Each evening between 8-9pm, they set out delicious desserts, next to the tray was a sheet of paper where you indicated your preferred breakfast time – each meal is prepared at the time of your seating. Overall, it was a lovely stay – Patty and Margaret are fabulous hosts and care about their guests - we look forward to visiting again.

We stayed our last night of 10 day trip here. It is close from the downtown yet in the middle of trees and nature, so we enjoyed peaceful time. The breakfast on the patio was great way to start the day. Would love to come back.
