The Lefferts Gardens Residence Bed and Breakfast is located in a classic historical brownstone in Brooklyn, New York. We offer a charming, cozy, and quiet bed and breakfast in the heart of New York. We are a fully owner-operated bed and breakfast and we take pride in our establishment. Lefferts Gardens is one of many growing exclusive neighborhoods in Brooklyn. It’s minutes from Park Slope and the infamous Prospect Park. Lefferts Gardens Residence B&B is easily accessible to many of NYC’s attractions. Some of the nearby attractions include the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Prospect Park, the Prospect Park Zoo, the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Public Library, Coney Island Beach, Luna Park Amusement Park, Barclays Sport Center, and much more. Manhattan is just 15 minutes away via subway train! The Prospect Park subway train station is a five minutes walk from the house. The train station is accessible to the B and Q train, however it connects to all major subway lines and the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR). These trains are frequent, safe, and reliable. We believe that staying at our B&B gives you an irreplaceable experience that you cant find in an overpriced, overcrowded hotel. We are in the heart of a safe neighborhood where stores stay open late, trains never stop, and people feel safe. Family and friends come to enjoy the culture, the park and the local food. Come see for yourself!

I booked through Travelocity, but contacted Lefferts directly to ask questions and confirm my reservations. I received an email response back from them and they confirmed my reservations and gave me specific information on my room. They even included pictures of the room in their email response. (Room 1/The Morgan) When I arrived they did not have a room for me and I was told my reservation had been canceled. I have been unable to find out exactly who "canceled my reservation" as Travelocity did not. I have been given the run around by Lefferts. I left a review and unsurprisingly I don't see it posted to this site so I am trying again. I am extremely unhappy as my whole trip was ruined and I still have not been provided the details of the cancellation. Natasha and Michelle have been no help at all resolving this matter.

The good: The BnB was easy to locate and on a quiet clean street close to public transit with plenty of cafes and restaurants around. It was furnished beautifully and the rooms were clean. The hostess Natasha was so warm and friendly, very accommodating and quick to help us when we needed to change rooms. She was accessible and professional. Some considerations... - Shared bathroom, not disclosed when booking the room: clean when we arrived, not clean after other guests started using it and was not cleaned or the trash emptied in the 3 nights we stayed. - No breakfast provided: only access to a kitchen - Old heating system : we had to change rooms after spending a night in the Pearl room. Don't stay there in the winter! However our new room was great and we slept warm and comfortably the rest of the time we were there. Knowing the above points now, I would stay here again.

It's a good, safe, and clean place that satisfies the basic needs. The house is very beautiful, and the service is great. The room I stayed in is tiny, but one has access to everything.

Since we have stayed at this place before we knew what to expect - and we really enjoy it. You have to share bathroom and a small kitchen with other guests, but it is all working out just fine. The place is cosy and full of atmosphere, and since there are not many rooms you will soon learn to know the other guests. Just a short walk to the Metro and easy to shop necessities nearby. We are happy to recommend this place to anyone not needing full-blown standard hotel service!

I would come back to Lefferts. It was basic but clean and I loved the house, it was very authentic NY C1900 which I loved. It was perfect for my 4 night stay, I had everything I needed. A bit more explanation that there was kitchen we could use would have helped. I didn't really mind sharing bathroom ether which surprised me.I recommend this B&B. Owner was sweet.

I loved this bed and breakfast! Summer in New York City is beautiful and this made it SO affordable! I only had breakfast on one morning but it was cute! Pancakes and a parfait! The rooms are a pretty rustic style and it's a very quite area. Would love to come back!!!!

My boyfriend and I wanted to visit NYC, but I was on a tight budget. I saw this place listed on travel websites and after some protest from him, finally convinced him that this B&B in Brooklyn would be a good choice. He was pleasantly surprised. We were flying standby and informed Michelle by email that we would be arriving early and were hoping to get there before the check in time. She and Sandra were very accommodating, even when we were bumped from one flight, and delayed due to weather on our connecting flight and came 2 hours after we told them we would be there. Sandra gave us a short tour of the house and we were left to make ourselves at home. The house is absolutely beautiful. Our sunny room was on the top floor and the bathroom we shared was bigger than my bedroom at home. Our concern with sharing a bathroom was a non issue (although I asume it is because we are late sleepers and everybody was out and about before we got up). The kitchenette was sunny and clean and the fridge was stocked with bottled water. We sadly never tried the breakfast (the review forced me to rate it anyway so I gave it 4 stars so it wouldn't drag down their review score). The area is a bit of a subway ride to the city, but the price is worth it. It definitely beats the cookie cutter, get'em in and out feel of a typical large hotel. We were even allowed to leave our suitcases downstairs free of charge after we checked out so we could get one last day in the city before our late evening flight. We never needed help with directions since I know the area and Manhattan very well, but I can see some reviewers' point when they say it's hard to find someone who works there to help you. But if you have any idea of what you want out of your trip and you have a smart phone you'll be fine. Just have a plan. Overall we will definitely be back. Can't wait!!!

(There was no breakfast. I would have put "N/A" instead of one star.)

Room Four features three bay windows overlooking the front of the home, as well as a queen size bed, a lounge chair, and a closet. Located on the top floor and just feet away from the full size kitchen. Fresh towels and toiletries are provided for the shared bathroom.
Room Three has two large bay windows that outlook the backyards of the neighborhood, along with a queen size bed, a lounge chair, and a closet. Located on the top floor just feet away from the kitchen. Fresh towels and toiletries are provided for the shared bathroom.

The Lefferts Gardens Bed and Breakfast is dear to me because it is more than a business. My husband and I have lived here for decades where we've raised our three children. Years ago, my family and I decide to share our open our home to others looking for a safe, quaint, and relaxed environment. It is much more than a place to bathe and sleep - it is home to continuing family memories. I hope that you make great memories here as well.
