Breathtaking mountain views, three-course, gourmet breakfasts and award-winning accommodations and service. Built in the 1950's, this single-story, ranch-style bed and breakfast offers over-sized rooms, fireplaces, private baths and sitting areas. The wormy chestnut paneling in the enormous living room provides a warm, and somewhat rustic, feel to this elegant, luxury inn. The inn's most dramatic feature is the spectacular view of the mountains seen from the back patio & fireplace deck, as well as the huge bowed window in the living room and over-sized picture window in the dining room. The Inn is also conveniently located across the street from a 27-hole, Donald Ross designed golf course and only one mile from downtown Waynesville with great shopping, galleries, restaurants and theaters. We want you to feel as though you never left home when you stay with us. With that in mind, we offer spa robes for use during your stay. We also provide blow dryers, magnified make-up mirrors, iron & ironing boards, soaps, shampoo, lotions, make-up removal kits & cloths. Each room also has a charging station for cell phones and tablets. Your room also comes with a late-afternoon snack each day, three-course breakfast each morning, complimentary beverages throughout the day and use of our Rainy Day Closet with over 150 DVD's, games, cards and lending library. Let us be "Your Luxury Smoky Mountain Escape"!

Great Place to stay when visiting Biltmore!

4.8 on October 10, 2017

We thought the 1/2 hour+ drive to Asheville was a reason to n%qot stay in Waynesville. Please don't make that mistake. If you want a beautiful, relaxing and well appointed place to stay with a breakfast that is absolutely some of the best you can get, look no farther. Make your reservations now! If you're tired at the end of the day there is no better place to enjoy a glass of wine then on the patio with a view of the mountains. Dina and Carolyn were great hosts with a vast knowledge of local attractions and restaurants. We will be back.

LOVE Brookside B&B

5 on September 25, 2017

EXCELLENT in every way...The room was beautifully furnished, comfortable, cozy, just perfect. The bathroom was even more impressive...large tiled shower, Jacuzzi tub, a window view of the grounds. Very elegant. Carolyn and Dina are fun, talkative, caring hosts. Again, so very comfortable. We were only there two nights, but we will return. I would love to just relax and enjoy the patio, hammock, and bubbling fountain. The food...gourmet!! Wonderful, melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Dietary needs were requested upon reserving a room...very helpful for many travelers. I have told all my friends, family that the best part of our getaway was staying at Brookside.

Wonderful Inn B&B

4.6 on August 28, 2017

We have stayed multiple times at the Brookside Mountain Mist Inn. We always feel like family when we arrive and throughout the whole stay. The Inn is comfortable, cozy and exceptionally well maintained. Breakfast is always wonderful with delicious coffee tea and other soft drinks available before breakfast to enjoy on the outdoor patio or indoors looking out the many large windows overlooking the mountains. The Inn is always spotless. Dina and Carolyn are always fantastic Inn keepers and great to chat with during the stay. We look forward to our next visit with them and you should visit them too!

Our First B&B Stay

5 on August 21, 2017

Wasn't at all what I was was more, much more. Carolyn and Dina for one are the nicest most attentive people you can find anywhere. The Inn is impeccably clean, open, the grounds worthy of bare footing, our room perfect for 5 nights. The patio view is almost like being in a cabin on the side of a mountain, the view is awesome. The breakfast part, oh well, Dina rocks your belly every morning with a 3 course breakfast that starts your day perfectly. One bonus thing, the people we met at the Inn were super nice and we enjoyed great conversations at breakfast and in the evening. It is a do over in my book! Carolyn and Dina, yes they are professional grade and they proved it! will be glad you did.

Best B & B Ever

5 on June 02, 2017

We stay at Brookside Mountain Mist for 3 nights and loved it. The mountain views from the back patio and living room are amazing. I love sitting on the patio in the morning with my coffee and the afternoon with my wine. The rooms are so clean and comfortable we did not want to leave. The breakfast are outstanding and wonderful. I had to buy a cookbook. We did order an intimate Dinner for 2 and loved all 4 courses, well worth it and you don't have to bother with the crowds in the restaurants. We will be back.

The Gold Standard

5 on November 14, 2016

As a returning guest, we knew what to expect. We expected absolute cleanliness, outstanding food and hospitality, good value, and the warmest welcome in the hospitality spectrum. Staying at the Brookside Mountain Mist Inn meets and exceeds all these expectations. You will enjoy the experience! Frank and Sally

Our Third Visit

5 on October 17, 2016

This past weekend was our third visit to this B&B. It just keeps getting better and better. So clean and welcoming, great service, correctly priced, the best breakfast within 100 miles! Dina and Carolyn know how to host guests and what their guests are looking for in a B& B. The back porch and its evening sunset was the clincher! We'll be back!

Quite the Find!

4.6 on August 16, 2016

To our surprise, and pleasure, this B&B was quite the find! The inn keepers make you feel right at home (friendly and comfortable- not over bearing), extremely helpful with all suggestions and spot-on with directions on how to get there. The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean. The outside patio is a little piece of heaven with their manicured grounds and heavenly view of the mountains. Give yourself a pampered treat and stay at this lovely inn!! My husband and I only stay at B&Bs, and this one was a favorite. Oops...can't forget Dina's yummy breakfasts...bring your appetite!

Outstanding B&B

The innkeepers when out of their way to be helpful and were a joy to be around. The breakfast was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

Oregonians visiting the Waynesville NC Area and found this charming B&B

5 on August 06, 2016

Best B&B yet! The accommodations, setting, food and hospitality were the best. And they thought of all the little things that can make a difference in your stay. Carolyn provided us with great suggestions on sites in the area and we found her advice to be excellent. We visited lookout points on the Blue Ridge Parkway that provided views as good or better than what we saw in the Smokies...and without all the hundreds of other tourists. And Dina's breakfasts were outstanding and they accommodated our dietary needs. We would highly recommend this B&B and we certainly will visit again if we are ever in the area.

About the innkeepers

The best part of running a B&B is getting to meet people from all over the world. We both enjoy making people happy. Carolyn does it with wit and humor, while Dina uses her culinary skills in the kitchen!

Signature Dish

Blueberry Cloud
We start with a layer of blueberries then cover that with a layer of sour cream mixed with vanilla. We then put the final layer on top, consisting of brown sugar, and place the ramekins under a broiler. We broil them just until the sugar carmalizes and the blueberries begin to burst. The ramekins are then placed in the refrigerator overnight to cool. We top the blueberry cloud with whipped cream and a sprig of fresh mint.
