My room was heavenly, the weather was ideal, the breakfast was scrumptious, only thing to add would have been a sweet muffin or pound cake to accompany the delicious coffee. Alissa was so sweet, a wonderful innkeeper!

This was a beautiful Bed and Breakfast, 5 stars on everything from the room, service, breakfast and the staff there. Already planning another trip!

This was the perfect lodge for us! I searched for a B & B that would be tucked away in the mountains of NC. The cost was excellent, especially compared to the price of B & B's in Blowing Rock, NC. This 10 year old "rustic and elegant" lodge was a welcome change from the fussy Victorian B & B's in which we have stayed. The lovely landscaping, perennials, front garden walk, Koi Pond, and Bella, the dog, on the spacious front porch were all very welcoming. Our bedroom and bathroom were both very large and very clean. The bedding was very comfortable. The bathroom had both a shower and a Jacuzzi tub. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. I especially appreciated the soft, soothing, lovely music that I could hear in the communal rooms, where we enjoyed reading. The breakfast food was delicious and the service was excellent: we enjoyed al fresco breakfast dining, on the balcony deck, lingering to enjoy the view of the mountains and the sound of the songbirds and hummers. In the evening, we viewed deer and wild turkey. We will definitely return to the Lazy Bear Lodge!

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and this turned out to be one of the nicest and most peaceful and we have found near Boone, and all at a great price! The owners made us feel like family, the rooms were exceptional, and the surroundings were tranquil. We woke daily to a great meal, wonderful coffee, and wildlife right outside of our door! You can't go wrong by staying at Lazy Bear Lodge!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Lazy Bear Lodge and are in love with the place! If you enjoy nature, wildlife, water features, outdoor spaces to relax, delicious food, rustic elegance and comfort, you'll love the Lazy Bear Lodge too! The warm pound cake and cookies before bedtime were an added bonus! It's an amazing place nestled on the side of a mountain with amazing views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our single regret is that we were only able to stay one night. It's at the top of our list and we can't wait to return! G & R from Texas

This was our first stay at a B&B. Now we can't wait to go again! No more hotels! The owners of the Lazy Bear Lodge are amazing! I don't know if other B&Bs are the as good, but I will always be comparing to this one. We LOVED staying there! The setting, the food, the wildlife, the hosts - all made our stay wonderful! We will for sure go back again to the Lazy Bear!!! Judy and Joe

This was our second stay at the Lazy Bear. This time we brought our 18 yo son with us. We all enjoyed our time sitting on the back porch looking at the views and watching the birds and the flying squirrels. The breakfasts are hearty and delicious and the hosts, Mark and Anne, are so gracious. And, of course, we love playing with Bella, the B&B dog!

Stayed for a second time and still a wonderful retreat! The rooms, breakfast, wildlife and on-site store are great. Also, close to lots of NC fun. Would gladly stay here again in the future.
