We stayed at The Cove recently to celebrate our one year anniversary. Sharon was there upon our arrival and got us quickly checked in. She gave us a tour of the facility and explained when the wine tasting was and when breakfast would be available each morning. Our room was very clean and the whole place was quiet, despite being filled nearly to capacity. There is a wine tasting each evening at 5:30, which is a good chance to get to know the other guests staying at the B&B. Breakfast was wonderful each morning. Our second morning we had to catch the early ferry off the island, so Sharon made sure we had a bagged breakfast waiting for us on our way out the door, and of course she brewed fresh coffee for us to take with us as well. There are bikes that belong to the B&B so you don't have to even rent one from one of the many places offering rentals on the island, and everything on Ocracoke is just a short bike ride from The Cove. It was a wonderful vacation, and we will definitely return to The Cove. Thanks Sharon!!

A very nice B & B. Open, airy, beach decor and a pleasant hostess. Spent 2 comfortable nights recently and have booked another reservation.

We enjoyed our weekend at the Cove B&B in Ocracoke. Very friendly staff made us feel at home the minute we arrived. Breakfast was outstanding. Rooms and bath very clean and well furnished. We especially enjoyed the casual and friendly atmosphere. It was quiet and away from the busy traffic areas, The evening "happy hour" was fun and great time to meet the other guests. We will definitely stay there again.

Sharon was very accommodating and helpful and we enjoyed her stories about the history of the island. Liked the room but showed its age a bit (carpet, access to shower/tub-no grab bar for easy entry/exit, furniture) but was clean. View wasn't as anticipated (Portsmouth Suite); not able to fully enjoy the view of the Sound's sunset, Springer's Point or Portsmouth Island from our veranda due to the trees which have grown and blocked the view.

Stayed in the Lighthouse room; everything about the stay exceeded our expectations; restaurant recommendations were really good; we biked; kayaked; went to the beach; all in a two-day, one-night visit. Looking forward to our next visit.

The Cove Bed and Breakfast provided us a clean, comfortable, and friendly place to stay for our thirtieth wedding anniversary. From fun conversations during the wine hour with other guests, Amy, and Sharon...to our daily explorations of Ocracoke, the Cove B&B opened opportunities for great memories. Thank you Amy and Sharon for hosting our stay with you. Anne and John

We arrived w/o any reservation and found other places full but very helpful! Our first call was to The Cove and they had rooms available. After spending the night before in a nasty place (we had a misguided reservation in Nags Head) Sharon and sister, Amy, welcomed us with a lovely large room....although pricey it was so roomy, so very clean, quiet, and relaxing! We enjoyed chatting with Amy as we enjoyed a glass of wine and then she recommended a favorite restaurant. It was closed but we had a great meal at a nearby place, neither would we have found without Amy's direction Judy

My fiancee, girlfriend at the start of the trip, and I stayed in the Sandpiper room. It was a gorgeous room with a beautiful view. While the room was fantastic, the hosts were the best part of the trip. Sharon and John are amazing and I could not have planned such a perfect proposal on Okcracoke Island without them. They helped me plan things out from the beginning to make for the most perfect sunset horseback ride on the beach proposal I could have dreamed of. In addition, they set up a lovely and inviting environment in the home which allows many opportunities to meet the other guest and make some great new friendships. I cannot forget the breakfast. When you stay there DO NOT MISS THE BREAKFAST. The breakfast they serve is to die for! Thank you Sharon and John!!!
