What a great place to stay for our mother's 80th birthday! My sisters and I brought our mother back to New Bern for her to show us the stories of her youth. We had heard of New Bern all of our lives. We chose Meadow's Inn b/c of its proximity to downtown. We did not how great a choice it was for us. The innkeepers were more than generous in their time and care, especially when they learned why we were there. They helped us to locate places, even sharing books on the history and places of New Bern. Each morning we were greeted with exquisite breakfasts, sweet music, and delicious coffee. We stayed in Granny's Attic, securing the upper floor. It was 3 flights without an elevator. John aided us with our luggage and the stairs were very manageable, even for our mother and my sister, who had broken her kneecap right before we left. I cannot say enough. This place made our special trip relaxing and special. Thanks so much John and Betty!!

Proprietors made us feel like family. So comfortable and friendly. Breakfast was beautifully presented and was delicious...a great way to start the day. And coming home in the evening was very relaxing and soothing. New Bern is a great place to spend a weekend away.

Most pleasant. We did not partake of the gathering room, as we were attending a conference at Christ Church, but everything was lovely. We especially appreciated that the breakfasts were manageable portions -- this ain't IHOP!
Thank you for your kind and informative review, especially the breakfast review!

My wife and I have stayed here many times and John and Betty are always a delight. The Inn is Beautiful and the food is fantastic. We have even suggested that Betty write a B&B cook book. They treat us as if we were family.Love this place and will continue to return.

We stayed at the Meadows Inn for one night and had a very nice visit. The inn was pretty, our room was large and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious (and served at the time we requested). The innkeeper was delightful and helpful

I went to New Bern for the North Carolina State Beekeepers Association Spring Conference and got into the Meadows Inn by accident. This place is very, very nice. The accommodations were great and the Innkeepers John and Betty were so nice and accommodating. I will be going back. Bill

This review is long overdue – I stayed at the Inn back in October and had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend a visit. Betty and John were very hospitable, and it was lovely coming back to the inn after a day of sightseeing and shopping. Betty’s breakfast was superb……and so nice to have a delicious meal served personally. And can’t beat the homemade chocolate chip cookies in the evening. This was so much more enjoyable than a hotel room. Thank you Betty and John!! I will be visiting again!

We went to celebrate our anniversary and had a wondeful time. The innkeepers were both very accommodating and helpful! Betty gave us a map and showed us all the beautiful spot to go while we were in town! Our room was really cozy and the sheets were so soft I asked for the brand name of them to buy when we got home! Thanks again John and Betty! Keep up the good work!!
