Most pleasant. We did not partake of the gathering room, as we were attending a conference at Christ Church, but everything was lovely. We especially appreciated that the breakfasts were manageable portions -- this ain't IHOP!

Our room at the Inn was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast was delicious. The location is excellent for visiting New Bern.

My wife and I have stayed here many times and John and Betty are always a delight. The Inn is Beautiful and the food is fantastic. We have even suggested that Betty write a B&B cook book. They treat us as if we were family.Love this place and will continue to return.

We stayed at the Meadows Inn for one night and had a very nice visit. The inn was pretty, our room was large and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious (and served at the time we requested). The innkeeper was delightful and helpful

I went to New Bern for the North Carolina State Beekeepers Association Spring Conference and got into the Meadows Inn by accident. This place is very, very nice. The accommodations were great and the Innkeepers John and Betty were so nice and accommodating. I will be going back. Bill

This review is long overdue – I stayed at the Inn back in October and had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend a visit. Betty and John were very hospitable, and it was lovely coming back to the inn after a day of sightseeing and shopping. Betty’s breakfast was superb……and so nice to have a delicious meal served personally. And can’t beat the homemade chocolate chip cookies in the evening. This was so much more enjoyable than a hotel room. Thank you Betty and John!! I will be visiting again!

We went to celebrate our anniversary and had a wondeful time. The innkeepers were both very accommodating and helpful! Betty gave us a map and showed us all the beautiful spot to go while we were in town! Our room was really cozy and the sheets were so soft I asked for the brand name of them to buy when we got home! Thanks again John and Betty! Keep up the good work!!

This was a nice, centrally located place to stay in historic New Bern. It gave me ideas about opening my own B & B! The plusses included central location, parking, friendly hosts. There weren't any minuses, per se, but I'd improve the following: Heavier blinds in the east-facing rooms to block out the 5 AM sunrise; the bathrooms were OK, but needed an update. The AC/Heating unit in our room was in a corner, which made it difficult for the air to circulate to the whole room. The breakfast was tasty and prepared for individual servings, but I'd consider a 'serve it yourself' style so people could come and go, instead of scheduling times to eat.
